First Encounter

Y/n stirred from her slumber, roused by the announcement signalling the flight's imminent landing. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, she peered out the window to catch her first glimpse of Seoul's twinkling lights below. After what felt like an eternity, the plane touched down, and Y/n found herself amidst the bustling activity of the airport, her luggage in tow.

With a deep breath, she stepped into the cool night air, greeted by the vibrant energy of South Korea's capital. The sight of billboards adorned with the familiar faces of BTS sent a thrill through her, a tangible reminder that she was now in the same city as her beloved idols. "Hello, Korea," she whispered, a smile tugging at her lips. "I'm finally here."

Despite the late hour, Y/n's determination burned bright. With a sense of purpose, she navigated through the unfamiliar streets, her destination clear: the Indian embassy. Knowing she had to report her arrival as per the rules, she hailed a cab and soon found herself at the embassy's doorstep, ready to begin this new chapter of her life.

As she settled into a chair, exhaustion washing over her, Y/n couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement mixed with nerves. Here she was, in a foreign land, with nothing but endless possibilities ahead. And as she closed her eyes, she knew that her journey was just beginning.

Next morning-

With the morning sun illuminating her path, Y/n set off to explore her new city. Armed with addresses from the embassy, she soon found herself standing in front of her new apartment. Unlocking the door, she stepped inside, greeted by the promise of a fresh start. As she settled in, excitement coursed through her veins, eager to embrace the adventures that awaited her in Seoul.

After taking a well-deserved rest to recharge her energy, Y/n ventured out to explore the bustling streets of Seoul. With a list of necessities in hand, she made her way to the nearest shops, eager to stock up on essentials for her new life. From kitchen utensils to cozy bedding, she carefully selected each item, envisioning the comfort and warmth they would bring to her new home.

At night-

As Y/n returned to her apartment, her arms laden with bags from her successful shopping expedition, she couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. "Ah, finally done with shopping," she exclaimed, a hint of playful exaggeration in her voice as she pretended to wipe away imaginary tears of exhaustion.

But as if on cue, her stomach grumbled loudly, reminding her of a crucial task she had neglected: eating. With a laugh at her own forgetfulness, Y/n decided to remedy the situation by heading to a nearby shop to grab something to eat.

As the night enveloped the streets in shadows, Y/n's sense of direction faltered, leading her astray on her first day in Seoul. Feeling a pang of unease creeping in, she glanced around at the deserted streets, a flicker of fear dancing in her chest.

"Oh no," she muttered to herself, realization sinking in. "I've lost my way. This isn't the path to my home."

Fumbling for her phone to consult the map, panic set in as she remembered she neglected to charge it earlier. "Oh no," she groaned, a sense of helplessness washing over her. "I forgot to charge my phone. How am I supposed to find my way home now?"

Alone in the darkness, Y/n's heart raced with uncertainty, the unfamiliar surroundings closing in around her.

As Y/n continued walking, hoping to find help, she spotted a group of men up ahead. Initially considering asking them for directions, she hesitated as a sense of unease washed over her. Their lingering stares and menacing demeanour made her instincts scream danger.

With a racing heart, she quickened her pace, feeling their presence closing in behind her. Panic surged through her veins as she whispered desperate prayers for safety, her voice trembling with fear.

"Oh God, what do I do?" she pleaded, her thoughts consumed by the overwhelming uncertainty of the situation. "Please, just help me. Please, God, please."

Y/n winced as she collided with someone, the impact drawing an involuntary "ouch!" from her lips. As she looked up, she found herself facing a figure concealed behind a mask and cap. Despite the anonymity, an unexpected sense of comfort enveloped her.

"Sir, please," she implored, her voice tinged with urgency. "I'm new here, and I'm completely lost." After sharing her address, she pleaded, "Could you point me in the right direction?" In the presence of this mysterious helper, Y/n felt a glimmer of hope amidst the uncertainty of the night.

??? Pov:
Walking home from my friend's place, I collided with a girl on the street. When I glanced at her, it was clear she was a foreigner, and a hint of fear flickered in her eyes. My gaze shifted to the group of unsavoury-looking men trailing behind her, and a sense of concern washed over me.

As she explained that she was lost and needed help finding her way, I couldn't help but notice the address she provided—it seemed familiar.

????: Do you live there?

Y/n: nodded in agreement

??: Come with me, I'll guide you. My place is close to your apartment.

Together, they set off, and the unsavoury men who had been lurking nearby dispersed upon seeing (???) intervene.

???: Where are you from? You don't look Korean.

Y/n: I'm from India. I just arrived today, which is probably why I got lost! laughs

??? Pov-
Observing her, I couldn't help but notice how adorable she looked when she smiled. And when she laughed, it was like the whole world lit up around her. I caught a glimpse of her phone case adorned with BTS prints, and a small smile tugged at the corners of my lips. It seemed she was a BTS fan.

??: Are you living here alone?

Y/n: nods

??: What were you doing out at this hour? It's not safe to be out late at night.

Y/n: I was hungry, so I thought I'd grab something nearby. But then I got lost on my way back.

??: Don't venture out alone at night. If you're hungry, just order in.

Y/n: nods again

Eventually, they arrived outside Y/n's house.

??: Can I see your phone?

Y/n: What's wrong? It's dead.

Then (??) took out a pen, gently held Y/n's hand, and wrote something on her palm.

??: Since you're new here, here's my phone number. Call me if you need any help. I live just across the road from your house.

Y/n: Okay, sir. Thank you for your kindness. I'll reach out if I need anything. Good night.

??: Good night.

As Y/n headed towards her house, (??) made his way home as well.

???'s pov-
Watching her walk away, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her than met the eye. She was cute, and there was something intriguing about her. But in my eagerness to help, I'd forgotten to ask for her name or number. How could I have been so careless? I cursed myself for missing the opportunity to learn more about her.

Y/n's pov-
That person was really a saviour for me. Thank God he reached there on time. By the way, he looked a little familiar but I didn't get a chance to see his face. But I was happy because he also gave me his number and now I had someone here who could help me and guide me in time.

After locking her door and plugging in her phone to charge, Y/n quickly saved the number under "Mr. Saviour." With a sense of security settling over her, she headed to the bathroom to freshen up, changing into her comfortable nightwear.

Before drifting off to sleep, she dialled her parents' number, updating them on her first day in Korea. Reassured by their voices, she shared that everything was going smoothly and that she was adjusting well. After a heartfelt conversation, they bid each other goodnight and hung up.

Next, Y/n called Saanvi, her trusted confidante, eager to share the day's events. Excitedly, she recounted her encounter with Mr. Saviour, expressing gratitude for his timely assistance.

Saanvi: Wow, Cherry, you wasted no time finding a boy as soon as you landed!

Y/n: Ugh, Berry, I don't even know his name or what he looks like, and here you are already shipping us.

Saanvi: chuckles You're lucky, Cherry. At least you've got someone to watch your back there. I'm not sure how I'm going to survive in France all alone.

Y/n: Don't worry, Saanvi. The embassy folks will take care of you. Anyway, I'm tired, so I'm going to sleep. Good night, bye.

Saanvi: Good night, bye.

With that, they ended the call, and Y/n switched off her room light, drifting off into a peaceful slumber, feeling grateful for the unexpected help she had found on her first day in Seoul.

Next morning-

Today, Y/n had to go to university at 11 am to submit some admission documents. She woke up at 7 am.

Y/n: talking to herself It's too early. I don't have to be at the university until 11 a.m. I guess I'll decorate my room.

With determination, Y/n started adding flair to her room. She put up posters, arranged her toys neatly, and hung fairy lights for a cozy vibe.

After two hours of work, she stepped back to admire her room. It felt cozy and personal, like her own little sanctuary in the big city.

Y/n: sigh Alright, it's finally finished. Time to get ready or I'll be late.

After completing her usual morning routine, Y/n decided it was time to wash her hair. But just as she applied shampoo and turned on the shower, she was met with silence—no water.

Y/n: What the heck... Why is the water supply cut off now? What am I supposed to do in this situation?

Frustration boiled inside her, tempting her to unleash her anger on every water tap in the room.

Y/n: Okay, calm down, Y/n. Take a deep breath. Now, think. What are you going to do?

After a while, Y/n dialled Mr. Saviour's number.

"Hello?" came the voice on the other end.

"Sorry to bother you, but I need your help," Y/n said.

"Um, who's this?" Mr. Saviour asked, sounding confused.

"We met last night, remember?" Y/n replied. "You helped me out."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't recognize your number," Mr. Saviour admitted. "What's going on?"

"There's no water in my house," Y/n explained. "I was washing my hair, and suddenly the water cut off. Now I've got shampoo dripping down my hair."

"Ah, got it," Mr. Saviour responded. "Come over to my place. You can wash your hair there, and then we'll figure out what to do about your water problem."

He then gave her his floor and flat number, and Y/n quickly grabbed her clothes and hurried to his house.

Ding dong...
The door swung open, and without even glancing at him, Y/n blurted out, "Where's the bathroom?"

He gestured towards it, and she dashed inside.

Feeling utterly embarrassed, Y/n couldn't shake the discomfort of being seen in such a state.

From outside the bathroom, Mr. Saviour called out, "Princess, if you need anything, just let me know."

"Uh, no, I'm good," Y/n responded from behind the closed door.

With that, Mr. Saviour closed the door and retreated, leaving Y/n to deal with her hair crisis in peace.

Mr. Saviour's pov-
Observing her rush past, it struck me that she didn't recognize me. I hadn't expected her to call, but I was glad she did. It presented an opportunity to learn more about her, to bridge the gap between strangers and perhaps form a connection.

After thirty minutes, Y/n emerged from the bathroom, towel-drying her hair, and made her way to the hall to meet Mr. Saviour.

In the hall, Mr. Saviour greeted her, "Hey, Princess, all done with the shower?"

Y/n turned towards the sound of his voice and froze in astonishment at what she saw.

Mr. Saviour's pov-
As I watched her, she froze in her tracks, her eyes widening in shock. She blinked twice, seemingly unable to process what she was seeing. It was actually quite adorable.

I had a feeling she might have thought she was dreaming, so she shook her head to snap out of it. But then, to my surprise, she went a step further and slapped herself a bit too hard. I had to stifle a laugh at the sight.

Y/n: winces in pain Ouch...! Is this... real? Am I not dreaming? In a hushed tone Is this person really Kim Taehyung?

She approached him cautiously, reaching out to poke his hand in disbelief as if to confirm his reality. Unable to contain his laughter any longer, Taehyung chuckled heartily.

Taehyung: flicks her head playfully Yeah, I'm real. I'm not a ghost, and this isn't a dream. Still chuckling Come on, take a seat.

She settled onto the sofa, trying to compose herself and make sense of the surreal situation.

"Why are you here? And why did you help me?" she asked.

"Why not? Can't I lend a hand?" Taehyung responded, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Why are you so surprised, Princess?"

"Okay, okay, fair point. But why do you keep calling me 'princess'?" Y/n inquired.

"I don't know your name, and you haven't told me, so what else am I supposed to call you?" Taehyung explained with a shrug.

"Oh, right, I forgot. Let me introduce myself. I'm Y/n, from India," she replied.

Taehyung: So your name is Y/n. That's great, but calling you Princess is much better. Chuckles Do you want some coffee or anything? Then we can chat.

Y/n: No, nothing, actually. I have to leave now, or I'll be late for my university.

Taehyung: Oh, so you're studying here?

Y/n: Yeah, I am. Now I have to go. I'll meet you in the evening, and then I'll tell you more about myself.

Taehyung: looking a bit disappointed Okay, I'll wait for you. By the way, let me add you on WeChat so we can text.

Y/n: Um, I don't use WeChat because it's banned in India. I use WhatsApp and Instagram.

Taehyung: Okay, then let me add you on Instagram to my private account.

They exchanged their Insta accounts and added each other. After Y/n left, she couldn't contain her happiness at meeting her idol and his willingness to talk more. She even changed his name to "Tae" on her phone.
