Cultural Vows

Upon arriving in Korea, everyone was utterly exhausted from the wedding ceremony and the long journey from India. The vibrant celebration had been filled with laughter, dancing, and countless rituals, leaving them drained yet exhilarated. They all decided to take a much-needed day of rest, savouring the quiet after days of non-stop activity.

The following morning, with renewed energy and excitement, they set out to complete the final bits of their wedding shopping. The streets of Seoul were bustling with life, and the group navigated through colourful markets and chic boutiques. They picked out beautiful dresses for wedding ceremonies, elegant accessories, and thoughtful gifts for their loved ones. Excitement buzzed in the air as they browsed through stores, picking out last-minute essentials, each item adding a special touch to the upcoming celebration.

Later, they made their way to the wedding venue, a stunning location adorned with elegant decorations and blooming flowers. There was an air of anticipation as they checked on the preparations, ensuring every detail was perfect for the big day. The scent of fresh flowers filled the air, and the sound of traditional Korean music playing softly in the background added to the enchanting atmosphere. They watched as the final touches were added to the decor, the tables set with exquisite care, and the lighting adjusted to create a romantic ambience.

The two couples also took a significant step by visiting the marriage bureau to collect their marriage certificates. As they signed the necessary documents, they felt a deep sense of commitment and joy, knowing they were one step closer to beginning their lives together as married couples. They took a moment to capture the memory with a few photos, smiles beaming on their faces.

Now, the only thing left was the ceremony itself. They had hoped to marry the day they arrived in Korea, driven by their desire to stay together in the same room, but they had to wait just a little longer for their moment.

Finally, the wedding day arrived, and the ceremony was vastly different from the traditional Indian wedding, making it a bit challenging for Y/N, Saanvi, and their families who were unfamiliar with the Korean rituals. However, Taehyung and Jungkook's families were incredibly supportive, ensuring everything went smoothly and helping them understand each step.

Y/N and Saanvi were getting ready in one room, while Jungkook and Taehyung prepared in another. Both brides wore beautiful white flared gowns adorned with intricate golden and pink thread patterns. The gowns were stunning and fit them perfectly, accentuating their grace and elegance. Their hair was styled in messy buns, decorated with delicate white beads, adding a touch of whimsy to their look. A gorgeous diamond necklace sparkled around their necks, complemented by elegant earrings. The subtle nude pink makeup enhanced their natural beauty, completing their look. Finally, a white veil was attached to their buns, making them look like breathtaking fairies from a fairy tale.

Meanwhile, Taehyung and Jungkook donned white tuxedos, subtly embellished with golden thread and stones. The light decoration added a touch of sophistication to their attire. Their look was completed with matching ties and shoes, exuding an aura of charm and elegance.

In the hall, guests were eagerly awaiting the start of the ceremony, mingling with each other, sharing gossip, and cracking jokes to pass the time. The hall was beautifully decorated with white and peach flowers, fairy lights, and candles, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The stage was adorned with flowers and lights, with a sign that read, "Y/N weds Taehyung and Saanvi weds Jungkook." Rows of chairs on either side of the aisle were neatly covered in white cloth, each with a bow and adorned with flowers. The aisle itself was elegantly lined with candles and flowers, adding a magical touch to the setting.

Suddenly, the event organizer's voice resonated through the hall, announcing the stage, "Attention, please... all guests, please take your seats. The wedding ceremony is about to begin."

Hearing this, the guests quickly found their seats, excitement and anticipation filling the air as they prepared to witness the union of the two beautiful couples. The hall quieted down, and everyone eagerly awaited the start of the ceremony.

A short while later, the event organizer announced again, "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome today's grooms, Taehyung and Jungkook." As soon as these words were spoken, all eyes turned toward the entrance on the other side of the stage, where the gate slowly opened to reveal Taehyung and Jungkook. The hall erupted into applause, the sound of clapping hands filling the air.

Taehyung and Jungkook began walking down the aisle, moving gracefully towards the stage. Guests on either side showered them with flower petals, creating a path of vibrant colours and fragrant blossoms. Reaching the stage, the two grooms bowed to the guests in gratitude and then turned to await their brides.

A short while later, another announcement was made, this time for the brides' entry. Once again, all eyes turned towards the entrance gate. Slowly, the gate opened, revealing two fairy-like brides, Y/N and Saanvi, each interlocking their arms with their fathers and holding a bouquet of flowers in their other hand. They gracefully began to walk down the aisle.

The hall filled with loud cheers and applause, with guests showering the brides with flower petals. Taehyung and Jungkook were utterly mesmerized by their brides, unable to take their eyes off them, staring without blinking as they took in their beauty.

Finally, the brides reached the stage. Their fathers gently placed their hands in the hands of their grooms, symbolically entrusting their most precious treasures to Taehyung and Jungkook. It was a poignant moment, filled with emotion, as the fathers handed over their daughters, their hearts full of love and pride.

After the brides joined the grooms on stage, the priest stepped forward and addressed the gathering, "We are here today to celebrate this auspicious event, the marriage of two wonderful couples." The air was filled with a sense of anticipation and joy as he turned to the couples and said, "Let's begin with Taehyung and Y/N's wedding."

The priest approached Taehyung and Y/N, joining their hands together, and began to recite the vows. "Mr. Kim Taehyung, do you take Ms. Y/N to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honour her all the days of your life?"

Taehyung bowed slightly and replied with a voice full of emotion, "I do." His eyes never left Y/N's, filled with love and commitment.

The priest then looked at Y/N and recited, "Ms. Y/N, do you take Mr. Kim Taehyung to be your husband? Do you promise to be faithful to him in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love him and to honour him all the days of your life?"

Y/N, with tears of joy brimming in her eyes, replied, "I do." Her voice was steady, filled with certainty and love.

The priest presented the ring box and said, "Okay then, exchange your rings."

Y/N took the ring, looked into Taehyung's eyes, and smiled. The world seemed to fade away as she gently took his hand and slid the ring onto his finger, feeling the warmth and promise in that simple gesture. Taehyung then took the ring, softly holding Y/N's hand as if touching a delicate petal, and slid the ring onto her finger. His touch was tender, his eyes never wavering from hers.

"Now, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," the priest declared, his voice resonating with the finality of their union.

The crowd erupted in cheers and chants of "kiss... kiss... kiss!" Taehyung stepped closer to Y/N, his heart pounding with love and excitement. He cupped her face, his thumbs gently caressing her cheeks. With a tender smile, he leaned in and kissed her forehead, a gesture full of love and respect. The hall filled with applause, confetti burst into the air, and flowers rained down, adding to the joyous celebration.

Flashback:-

During the wedding preparations, Y/N had a moment of hesitation. "Tae, is the kiss important in the wedding?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Yes, it's part of the ritual," Taehyung replied, a bit confused but concerned.

"Actually, it's a little embarrassing for me because my parents will be there, and we don't have such rituals in our culture," Y/N admitted, her cheeks flushing slightly.

"Don't worry, princess. I'm here for you. I'll make sure you're never embarrassed," Taehyung reassured her, taking her hand lovingly and caressing it. His eyes were full of understanding and support.

Flashback end.

Back in the present, the beautiful memory of Taehyung's reassurance made Y/N's heart swell with love. As they stood on the stage, their families and friends cheering for them, she felt an overwhelming sense of happiness.

Now, it was time for the younger couple, Jungkook and Saanvi, to exchange their vows. After impatiently waiting, their moment had finally arrived. Taehyung and Y/N stood to the side of the stage, making way for Saanvi and Jungkook, who stepped into the spotlight at the centre.

The priest approached them and began the ceremony with the same rituals.

After reciting their vows, Saanvi gently took Jungkook's hand, feeling the warmth and connection, and slid a beautiful ring onto his ring finger. The crowd watched in silence, absorbing the tender moment. Jungkook then took his ring, slid it onto Saanvi's hand, and whispered softly so only she could hear, "Now you are mine forever." Hearing this, Saanvi couldn't help but smile, her heart fluttering with joy.

"Now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride," the priest declared before stepping back. Jungkook moved closer to Saanvi, closing the distance between them as he leaned toward her face. Saanvi felt a wave of nervousness wash over her; she didn't want Jungkook to kiss her on the lips in front of her family, fearing she would feel embarrassed.

Jungkook, sensing her nervousness, gazed into her eyes with understanding. He gently took her hand, gave a soft smile, and kissed her on the forehead instead. The audience erupted into cheers, the sound of applause mixing with joyous shouts, and flower confetti rained down, celebrating their union.

As the petals fell around them, Saanvi and Jungkook exchanged a look of pure happiness. The confetti glittered in the air, creating a magical scene that felt like a dream.

As the formalities concluded, the hall transitioned into a lively celebration. Music began to play, and the newlyweds led the way to the dance floor. Taehyung and Y/N shared their dance as husband and wife, moving gracefully to the music, their eyes locked in a private world of love and happiness. Jungkook and Saanvi soon joined them, their steps full of joy and laughter.

Guests clapped and cheered, some joining the dance floor, while others watched, their hearts warmed by the sight of such genuine happiness. The night was filled with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses as toasts were made in honour of the new couples. Traditional Korean and Indian dishes were served, symbolizing the beautiful blend of cultures that had come together in this wedding.

Now, both couples are prepared for the next chapter of their lives, filled with love, support, and the promise of a beautiful future together.

"From different worlds, we create a new one, filled with love and understanding."

How is this chapter and the wedding ceremony too? I mean, I'm not familiar with this wedding ritual; I just watched in the movie, so I might have written some rituals wrong, so feel free to correct me.

Also, vote and comment on it.
