Ceremonial Bliss
6 months later
Y/n and Taehyung, along with Saanvi and Jungkook, sat on the stage, their faces gleaming with the golden hue of turmeric as everyone applied haldi to them. The joyous colours of the wedding festivities were starting to reflect on the couples' faces, and the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and laughter. Traditional music is played in the background, adding to the festive ambience.
Today marked the Haldi, Mehendi, and Sangeet ceremonies for both couples. After receiving government approval, the wedding date was set, and anticipation has been building ever since. Taehyung and Jungkook's families, along with all the BTS members, arrived in India a few days before the wedding. They spent time sightseeing and preparing for the celebrations.
Everyone then travelled to Jaipur for the destination wedding, a city renowned for its royal heritage and stunning architecture. A breathtaking resort had been booked, exuding an ancient charm blended with modern amenities. The resort was adorned with intricate decorations, colourful flowers, and twinkling lights, creating a magical setting. The bride, groom, their families, and relatives all stayed there, with all the wedding functions and rituals planned to take place at this magnificent venue.
For the Haldi ceremony, everyone dressed in yellow traditional attire, adding to the vibrant theme. The morning sun casts golden rays, enhancing the serene beauty of the event. Relatives and friends gathered around the couples, singing, dancing, and joyfully applying the turmeric paste.
Jimin, with a mischievous grin, approached Jungkook with a bowl full of turmeric and promptly poured it over his head. "Wow, satisfying," Jimin chuckled. "Finally, revenge complete! No more calling me shorty."
Jungkook, gritting his teeth, responded, "Now you see what I'm going to do, shorty!" He grabbed some turmeric and chased after Jimin.
Laughter erupted as everyone watched the playful chase. Jimin ran behind Y/n, seeking refuge. "Princess, save me from this muscular bunny!" he pleaded.
Jungkook, advancing toward Y/n, said, "Lomdi, move aside. Today, no one can save Shorty Hyung from me."
"Alright, alright, enough," Y/n laughed. "Why are you turning the Haldi ceremony into a battleground?"
With playful teasing and laughter, the ceremony concluded. Everyone took showers and enjoyed a hearty lunch before diving into dance practice for the evening's Sangeet.
A friendly competition was brewing for the Sangeet, pitting the girls against the boys. From the boys' side, everyone except Jungkook and Taehyung was participating. On the girls' side, all the girls except Saanvi and Y/n were getting ready to perform. The practice sessions were intense and spirited, with everyone eager to outshine the other team.
The boys’ room was filled with laughter and shouts as they perfected their dance moves. Jungkook and Taehyung watched their friends with amusement, occasionally offering tips and encouragement. In the girls' room, the atmosphere was just as lively, with the girls practising their coordinated steps and cheering each other on.
Y/n decided to take a break and brought juice for the girls. "Okay, girls, take it easy. It’s not a real competition. Take some rest and refresh yourselves with this juice," she said, handing out the drinks.
As everyone took a break, Saanvi's youngest sister, Chanchal, spoke up. "The boys are practising a lot... should we go and check on them?"
Y/n's cousin added, "They won’t let us in, Y/n di. We might lose! Do something."
"Alright, I’ll try to sneak a peek," Saanvi said with a mischievous smile. She headed toward the boys' room, her heart pounding with excitement. When she reached the door, she tiptoed to the window and tried to open it quietly. Just then, Jungkook caught her from behind. "You know, cheating is a bad thing, baby," he teased, his voice low and playful.
"Oh, thank God it's you. Please help me out, just give me a hint of what you guys are doing," Saanvi said, smiling sheepishly, trying to win him over.
"No way, that’s not going to happen. Go back to the girls' room, fast," Jungkook said, laughing as he gently guided her away and closed the door behind him.
Saanvi returned with a pout, her plan foiled. "Oh no, they won’t let us see anything," she said, frustration evident in her voice.
"Okay, let me try," Y/n said, determined to get some inside information. She pulled out her phone and called Taehyung.
"Hey, Taetae, I miss you," Y/n said sweetly when Taehyung answered.
"I miss you too, princess, but don’t try to cheat," Taehyung laughed, instantly catching on to her plan.
"Oh, come on, just a tiny hint? Pretty please?" Y/n coaxed, trying to sound as endearing as possible.
"Nice try, but no," Taehyung replied, chuckling. "You'll just have to wait and see like everyone else."
The girls groaned in disappointment but quickly got back to their practice, fueled by their determination to win. Meanwhile, the boys continued their preparations, confident and excited for the upcoming performance.
As evening fell, everyone started getting ready for the Mehendi and Sangeet ceremonies. The excitement was palpable as people donned their best outfits, eager to celebrate. Once dressed, they gathered in the hall, creating a sea of green as everyone wore different shades of green traditional outfits.
Y/n and Saanvi were dressed in matching emerald green lehengas, adorned with red pearl-studded golden necklaces and earrings, looking absolutely breathtaking. Their intricate outfits shimmered under the hall's lights, making them look like royalty. Jungkook and Taehyung wore green kurtas, looking stunning as always in traditional attire, their handsome faces glowing with happiness.
The hall was decorated beautifully, with fairy lights twinkling and floral arrangements adding a burst of colour. The air was filled with the scent of fresh flowers and the earthy aroma of henna. Intricate mehndi designs began to be applied to the brides' and grooms' hands by professional artists, while others waited their turn. The atmosphere was filled with the scent of henna and the sound of laughter and chatter.
The artist asked Y/n and Saanvi for their grooms' names to incorporate into the mehndi design. Before either of them could reply, Jin and Jimin burst in, their faces lit up with mischief. "Write Kim Seokjin on Y/n's hand and... umm... write Park Jimin on Saanvi's," Jin said, grinning widely. Jimin and Jin looked at each other and burst into laughter, their antics drawing everyone's attention.
"You evil eye!" Jungkook shouted from across the room, glaring playfully at them. His eyes sparkled with amusement, but his protective nature shone through.
"And I'm worldwide handsome, you know!" Jin responded loudly, his booming laughter infectious. His confidence and charm added to the lively atmosphere.
The room was filled with joy and teasing, making the Mehendi ceremony lively and unforgettable. Everyone continued to get their mehndi applied, chatting and joking as they waited. The professional artists worked diligently, creating beautiful, intricate designs that would be remembered for years to come. The intricate patterns symbolized love and prosperity, a perfect prelude to the upcoming wedding.
And then the Sangeet function began. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone, young and old, dancing to different songs and thoroughly enjoying themselves. The hall was beautifully decorated with fairy lights, vibrant drapes, and floral arrangements, adding to the festive spirit. The DJ played a mix of traditional and modern hits, ensuring there was something for everyone.
Many young children gave adorable solo performances, earning cheers and applause from the audience. Their innocence and enthusiasm brought smiles to everyone's faces, setting a warm and joyous tone for the evening.
Finally, it was time for the much-anticipated boys vs. girls competition. The excitement in the air was palpable as the girls were up first. They took their places on stage, dressed in colourful and sparkling outfits. The music started, and they began to dance. Their performance was incredible, perfectly synchronized with the music and rhythm. They swayed their bodies gracefully, captivating everyone with their moves. The audience was mesmerized, thoroughly enjoying the performance.
The girls danced with energy and passion, hitting every beat with precision. They incorporated traditional and contemporary dance moves, showcasing their versatility. The crowd clapped along to the rhythm, cheering them on. However, there was an underlying thought in everyone's minds: competing against BTS was going to be tough. To add to the excitement, the winning party would be served dinner by the losing party, raising the stakes even higher.
The girls gave an outstanding performance, and the hall echoed with loud applause and cheers. The atmosphere was filled with admiration and pride for their effort. As the cheers slowly died down, it was time to invite the boys' gang to the stage.
But suddenly, the boys seemed to have disappeared. Everyone looked around, puzzled, wondering where they had gone. Just then, the song "Sheela Ki Jawani" started playing, and all eyes turned to the stage. To everyone's surprise and delight, there stood the boys, dressed in sarees with lipstick on, ready to perform a hilarious dance.
The boys' entrance was dramatic, with each of them striking a pose as they sashayed onto the stage. They swayed their hips, did thumkas, and flicked their imaginary long hair, mimicking the girls' dance moves with exaggerated expressions. Their performance included several songs like "Munni Badnaam Hui" and "Laila," each more entertaining than the last.
The boys had clearly put a lot of thought and effort into their performance, and their comedic timing was perfect. They exaggerated their movements and expressions, drawing laughter from the audience with every step. Jimin, Jin, and the others played their roles to perfection, embracing the silliness and having fun.
The audience couldn't contain their laughter, watching the boys' funny and energetic dance. The boys even included some playful interactions with the audience, blowing kisses and winking, adding to the hilarity. They had put their all into the performance, leaving everyone in splits. The hall was filled with the sound of laughter, applause, and cheers, creating a joyful and unforgettable atmosphere.
After the boys' dance ended, everyone was still laughing. Their antics had everyone in stitches, and it took a while for the laughter to die down. Eventually, the winner was announced, and the girls emerged victorious. This meant the boys had to serve dinner, but they didn't mind at all. They had willingly lost, finding immense joy in making everyone laugh.
After the announcement, everyone removed their dried mehndi, revealing the intricate and beautiful designs beneath. It was now time for dinner, and the boys dutifully served everyone. Jungkook brought dinner to Saanvi, and Taehyung brought dinner to Y/n, both feeding their partners lovingly with their own hands. Y/n and Saanvi also fed their partners from the same plates, sharing tender and intimate moments amid the laughter and chatter.
All the guests enjoyed their meal, and one by one, they started to retire to their rooms to rest for the night. Only the boys remained, still busy serving the last few guests.
Seeing this, Chanchal, Saanvi's sister, spoke up. "Guys, you all sit down. We'll serve you. You also deserve to be treated because you made everyone laugh so much."
The boys, touched by the gesture, smiled and sat down. The girls took over, serving the boys with the same care and affection. The plates were filled with delicious food and laughter.
After dinner, all the adults and children went off to sleep, while the youths gathered to continue their evening. They sat together, cracking jokes and teasing each other, thoroughly enjoying the lingering excitement of the day.
The laughter and camaraderie lasted late into the night until everyone finally decided to head to bed. However, Taehyung gently stopped Y/n from leaving. As everyone else dispersed, he came closer to her and hugged her tightly. "You looked absolutely stunning tonight. It was hard for me to take my eyes off you," he whispered.
Y/n looked up at him and playfully bopped his nose. "And you weren't any less than a prince charming yourself."
Taehyung gazed into her eyes, his expression tender and filled with love. "Tomorrow, you’ll officially be mine," he said softly.
The moon above cast a soft, silvery glow upon them, adding to the magic of the moment. The night was quiet, with only the faint sounds of the distant festivities still lingering in the air. Y/n felt a warmth spread through her heart as she looked into Taehyung's eyes, filled with promise and affection.
"As we celebrated our union, the moon watched over us, casting a magical glow on our love."
