Finally, the fated day arived. Karunika and Adam were awake at the crack of dawn, not because of excitement or work. But because there was a wonderful little angel who hadn't let them sleep.
As she rocked Madirakshi to sleep, Adam began getting ready for the wedding, wearing his most beautiful angvastr. The one he wore when they met their daughter again after the vanvas. When he saw her as the wonderful and beautiful woman that she is.
He was totally prepared to wear a rather normal one, but Aahana had insisted. She said, " Pitashree, you must wear your best. I want to see you at your best as I close my eyes to take you in , for a long time. " Adam couldn't say no.
As she went to her daughter's room, she saw that she had already begun getting ready. From her clothes to her shringaar, most of it was done, except the mangteeka.
She gently did it and then applied the kajal behind her ears. Now her daughter was truly ready for her wedding.
As she got ready to leave for the mandap, she was met by her very teary father.
" Pitashree. Don't cry. How will I walk forward knowing that my going gives you pain. Come on. You must smile for me. " She said, running into his arms.
" Putri. You are my happiness. My strength. You leaving ne renders me weak in all forms. " He told her, as he held her close. How soon had time passed. Only a few years ago, had she been jumping in his arms, begging him to throw her in the air, rocking on his back as he exercised and sneaked food out when Karunika wasn't looking. Now she would be going to a new place, a new home. She would watch her own husband do that to her children. Time stops for no one, so grasp on those moments before they become history was all he could think off.
Karunika had vowed not to cry that day, not because she was trying to be strong. But she wanted her daughter to have the farewell that she did as she had left her home.

As she approached the mandap, she saw her groom, standing with his family.
(Meet our Rajkumaar Uttar everyone!)
Aahana was invited over by an extended hand to her, an invitation, into his life and his heart.
Her hand that met his solidified the invitation, an eager reply, an invitation wholeheartedly accepted.
As they finally sat down for the wedding, Karunika, Adam , Karn, Vrushali, Yudhishthir Devika, Bheem, Valandhara, Arjun and his two wives, Panchali, Subhadra, Nakul, Karenumati and Sahdev and Meenakshi all relived their marriages that day. Watching as each step taken by the children reminded of the promises they made to each other. The ones they accidentally broke, the ones they amended.
" Vivah sampann hua. "(Marriage is complete)
As they came around for everyone's blessings, Karunika held Uttar's hand. " Raajkumaar. Once you had us in your debt for saving our daughter's life. Today I ask you. Take care of her happiness. She has grown up seeing her father love her mother unconditionally. Present the same example to your children. Let them understand the power of love too. Spread it, spread the love. " She said, hugging the boy close.
" Mata. If ever I fail, I'll give Aahana a dagger herself, so that she could teach me a lesson. " He said, while his bride blushed.
" Don't do that putr. Someday you'll wake up at night with a pregnant wife threatning you with death because you were unable to procure the special type of achaar for her and then you would have to do so late at night while the world sleeps. " Arjun said. Subhadra meanwhile rounded on her husband, with a glare that could rival any.
" Is that so? Did I trouble you so much? I am sorry if I woke you up at night while I carried YOUR son in my womb and he demands something. " She said angrily, while everyone laughed.
" Parth. You should know. Never give a mother a dagger. You don't know, the next day she could be making the same pickles with your own body parts. " Krishn added, while everyone roared in laughter.
As she got ready to leave, she ran to her brothers, who yet again held her up in the air, despite her better protests, that her dress would tear.
You would assume they listened to her.
They did not. It ended up ripping at the seam of her waist.
Safe to say, the ones who cried at her vidai was not her. It was her brothers. Who each had a red mark on their faces due to a slap, as well as torn dhotis in the back, as they stood, trying to hide their nether regions.
Aahana truly went away happily that day, torn clothes and all.

As Karunika and Adam tried to retire for the night, she finally let out the tears she was holding.
She cuddled up to her husband, as they talked about her daughter, her sweet daughter who was beginning a new life that day.
She who began her new life in a new house. Why did the women have to go? So she cried as her daughter began her new life. Not because she was sad that she left her, but because she would be unable to experience many milestones with her, the ones that would help her gain experience in life.
She would become a ruling queen from the little girl who sat by her mother, hitting the kheer bowl too hard as a baby and spilling it down her body. She would become the woman who grew up from the girl who would follow her around in the forests as they looked for flowers. She would become a woman of her own right.
They slept that night, dreaming of their daughter, as they thought of the challenges that they would face, now that she was gone. Now no one would wake them in the morning by jumping on the bed, trying to get her to teach her archery in the morning. No one would interrupt Adam's court proceedings, when she wanted to play with him in the gardens. She was and would always be their light.
