Just to clarify: I'm not skipping the episode Tokka Vs The World episode. I'm just saving that one for my version of season five. However, I AM skipping the Tale of TigerClaw episode and I'm still debating if I'll add it in later or not, but from the looks of it, I don't believe I will at the moment.
But asides from that, I'm honestly NOT ready for this...
Enjoy!
"Death. It creeps up on you when you least expect it, especially when it's someone you love dearly and you never saw it coming."
THE BRIGHT SUNLIGHT was hitting him right in the face as the sound of birds chirping reaches his ears. Henry gives a small groan as he blinks, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness while wondering why he was even sleeping outside in the first place. As he puts his hands down on the ground, he was about to push himself up but stopped and froze when he spotted his hands covered in red liquid.
Startled, Henry fell backwards before he scrambled up onto his feet, glancing down at his blood-covered hands with wide, terrified eyes. He didn't seem to care if he was completely bared in the moment from the sight of his bloody hands.
"Oh, god, no, no, no," Henry muttered to himself. "Who's blood... why am I... what happened?"
"Henry?"
Henry spun around to find Natalie walking over, her hands were also covered in blood and like him, she was completely bared as well. But what really freaked him out was the blood on her lips.
"Uh, Natalie," Henry said, his eyes as wide as hers while looking just as panicked. "There's blood on your face."
"On yours too."
"What?" Henry felt his skin paled before he glanced down at his bloody hands. "Oh, god, who got hurt? Who did Iโ"
"Henry," Natalie cut in, a frown on her face while she looked a bit sick before pointing to the left. "Look over there."
Henry turned his head and his stomach dropped at the sight of the torn up lifeless body of a deer that was laying in a pool of blood with a hole in its stomach. From the sight of it, Henry felt his stomach get upset as his skin looked like it was starting to turn green.
"Oh, I'm gonnaโ" Henry doesn't have time to finish his sentence before he spins around and doubles over as he throws up.
"Man, I really hope Daniel's looking for us." Natalie comments.
Luckily, it didn't take Daniel long to find them with Derek, Scott, and David with the use of their wolf senses. Henry was hiding behind a tree to get himself cleaned up and put on the clothes that Daniel had brought for him while Natalie, who was hiding behind a bush, was doing the same thing as him: cleaning up and putting on the clothes that Daniel had brought for her.
Once he was done putting the clothes on, Henry stepped out from behind the tree as he walked over to where they stood. Despite having thrown up earlier after seeing the bloody deer, his stomach still felt queasy, as if he was about to throw up again.
He just hoped that nobody would bring it up.
And by nobody, he really meant Derek.
"Please tell me that nobody got hurt." Henry said.
"Yeah, the last thing I want to hear is that I killed someone." Natalie said, stepping out from behind the bush after she was done putting the clothes on.
"No, no, you're both good," Daniel said. "Nobody got hurt."
"Well, nobody but that alien," David said with a shrug. "Other than that, you're both safe."
Both Henry and Natalie blinked. "Uh, alien?"
"Right, you two don't remember since this shift was your first timeโ well, second time for Natalie," Scott said. "Basicallyโ"
"Oh, who cares about that!" Derek interrupted, looking over at them with a smug smirk. "So, how was that deer?"
From the very mention of it, Henry swore that his stomach turned while something warm went up his throat that he tried to swallow, but failed nonetheless.
"Derekโ"
"I mean, I bet it was chewy, right? Soft and chewy?"
Henry's skin started to turn green as he held a hand up to his lips, trying to keep it down.
Natalie noticed this. "Uh, Derek, I wouldn'tโ"
"Come on, you can't tell me that deer isn't your favoriteโ"
Before Derek could finish, Henry suddenly doubled over and threw up again, but this time, all over Derek's shoesโ his favorite shoes. Scott, however, choked on his laughter but a few snickers left his lips while Natalie looked a bit amused by it.
"...are youโ"
"Hey, this is what you get when you're being an ass." Scott said, trying to stop the bits of laughter that left his lips.
Derek glared at him before looking over at his father, who held up his hands in defense. "Don't look at me, boy, you had this one coming." David said.
Derek pouted before he started whining, looking back down at his shoes. "Dude, come on, these were my favorite!"
Henry coughed before he wiped his lips, looking up at Derek with a small glare. "Next time, don't be an ass."
Derek scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's not my fault that you have a weak stomach, which I don't how you do considering what Mikey eats."
"I don't eat what Mikey eats."
Derek rolls his eyes and points a finger at his cousin. "You owe me a new pair of shoes."
This time, it was Henry who rolled his eyes at him and instead of agreeing, he flipped Derek off, who didn't seem to like that very much and would argue that Henry did indeed owed him new shoes.

IT WAS COMPLETE darkness and within the darkness, there stood two figures. One of them was easily recognized as Splinter while the other figure was massive and not human, making it extremely easy for the figure to be recognized.
The figure raised its arm and slashed down at Splinter, striking him.
"No!" A gasp left Twilight's lips as her eyes shot awoke, snapping out of her meditation as she tried to calm her breathing down, her heartbeat racing in her chest from what she just saw. She closed her eyes and kept them closed until her breathing came back down to a steady pace. Once it did, she pushed herself back up onto her feet while a wave of old memories resurfaces in her head.
Knowing that Oroku Saki and the Foot Clan were somewhere out there, it made those old memories resurfaced and the old feelings of anger and hatred that she held for the man resurfaced again as wellโ feelings that she had thought she had managed to put behind her. But now, it was all stirring back up again because of Oroku Saki himself and once again, all she wanted to do was use her magic to get rid of himโ to avenge her best friend and make Oroku Saki suffer through any type of pain for what he did to Karai.
"Are you alright, my friend?"
She turns around to see Splinter walking over to her, a concerned look on his face. "Yeah, I'm alright, Yoshi," Twilight answers. "Just... it was just another vision."
Splinter, however, seemed to already know what it could've been about. "You saw it too, haven't you?"
Twilight Sparkle frowns lightly as she nods. "Yoshi, I know it's Saki but... he can't be saved. The person he used to be before... he's gone, Yoshi. There's nothing good left in him. He's a monster."
"Perhaps," Splinter said in agreement. "That is why I will be the one that stops him."
"He'll kill you, Yoshi," Twilight Sparkle responds. "You saw what he's become. You and Quill together couldn't beat him the first time."
"If it is the only way to save my family, there is no other choice."
"You have people who need you, Yoshi. Your children, Miwa."
"They'll have you, Flash, and Quill." Splinter answered.
Twilight Sparkle frowned at his words, suddenly feeling like she was back in the past, holding a baby Miwa in her arms while trying to convince her best friend to come with her, only to have that night end in the death of her best friend and her goddaughter ending up in the hands of Oroku Saki.
She couldn't let it happen again.
She just couldn't.
"Yoshi, that night... I begged Shen not to go backโ that you, Flash, and Quill would come back from that fight alive, but she put Miwa into my arms and told me to take her and run, that she had to stop you guys from fighting with Saki. And I should've done what Shen asked me to doโ to take Miwa and run, but I couldn't let my best friend risk her life for that monster so, I went after her, and... well, look at what happened." Twilight Sparkle shakes her head at the memories as she wipes her eyes. "Miwa got kidnapped by Saki when the whole time, I thought she had died and I blamed myself for it, just like I blamed myself for Shen's death when I should've just grabbed Shen and dragged her away with me and Miwa. I think about that night all the time and what I should've done differently. How I should've dragged Shen away with me and Miwa and then, my best friend would be alive with you and your daughter or how I should've brought Miwa with me when Shen asked me too that night so, Saki never would've kidnapped her."
Then, Twilight Sparkle frowns as she stares at him, a pleading look in her eyes. "Shen was my best friend and I loved her like a sister, but that night, I failed her. I failed my best friend, Yoshi. Miwa already grew up without her mother, don't make her grow up without her father too. So, I'm begging you, Yoshi, don't do thisโ not for Saki."
But Splinter knew what he had to do, even if the vision showed that it would cost him his life.
If it was meant to keep his family and his friends safe, there was no other option for him.
He knew what he had to do, and he knew that his children would be safe with Twilight, Flash, and Quill.
So, he offers her a sad smile and responds with...
"I'm sorry, my friend, but I know what I have to do."
๐๐๐
THE NEWLY MUTATED Shredder glared at the spirit that had appeared in front of him. Of course, he knew who it was, especially if there was once a time where he was friends with her daughter or if he helped his former best friends that he once considered his brothers in an old war to take back the Crystal Empire from someone known as the Dark One.
"Oroku Saki," Twilight Velvet said, looking him up and down. "You've surely changed from the last time we've seen each other. You used to be a good man and now... well, you can quite imagined that the past Destroyers aren't happy with you."
"I do not care about what you all think," Super Shredder said coldly, glaring at the woman in front of him. "Give me that power I can feel coming from this place!"
Twilight Velvet only chuckled at his words. "If you believe that the Destroyers had called you to give you power, then I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. After all, that power you can feel from here isn't for you. But first, let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we?"
She raised her right hand into the air and waved it around the chamber, letting memories of the past fill the entire chamber.
Memories that Super Shredder knew all too well as multiple voices were heard throughout the chamber.
"Hello, my name is Tang Shen. It's nice to meet you."
"This is my best friend, Twilight Sparkle. Twilight, these are my friends; Yoshi, Flash, Quill, and Saki."
"You are growing strong, Saki. One day, perhaps I may be as strong as you, brother."
"You are a good man, Saki, and I do care for you. But... I'm afraid my heart lies with Yoshi."
"Hey, Saki, let's do 'get help.'"
"It reminds me of the Yokai friends we invented as children, remember Saki?"
"Saki, my daughter is not even born yet and you want me and Twilight to use her as a weapon because of that stupid prophecy?! You're crazy!"
"I have always been there for you, brother."
"I swear to god, Saki, if you say it againโ"
"That's it!"
"Enough, you are brothers. Act like brothers."
"Please stop!"
"Daddy... what happened to mommy?"
"I want to know the truth. The truth about my mother, and Splinter."
"Tell me the truth! Splinter's my father, isn't he!?"
"You were never my father!"
"You had it all, Saki," Twilight Velvet spoke up. "You had a father who raised you, and brothers who cared about you and who would've done anything for you. But you were so focused on what you wanted that you let anger and hatred cloud your vision and because of that, you destroyed everything good that you had in your life."
Super Shredder scoffed at her words, rolling his eyes. "Good? It was the Hamato Clan that destroyed my ancestors and murdered my family. It was the Sentry Clan that helped the Hamato Clan to do so."
"But Hamato Yuta didn't kill you," Twilight Velvet reminded. "He could've. After all, you were the son of his enemy. Instead, he took you in and raised you and made sure that you were fed. He was your father that loved you and Hamato Yoshi, Fabian Sentry, and Quill Sentry were your best friends and brothers who loved you."
"Lies, it was nothing but lies and a deception," Super Shredder said, convinced of the words he told himself over the years. "They were never there for me, none of them! And Yoshi... that rat stole the woman I loved and he never cared about her, only himself."
"Is that so? I remember it differently," Twilight Velvet said. "I remember Yoshi, Quill, and Fabian doing their best to stand by your side and be there for you. However, you ended up pushing them away until one by one, you lost them completely. After all, you lost Fabian the moment that you called his first unborn daughter a weapon, did you not? You lost Quill the moment that you told him that his daughter was better off without him after she disappeared, did you not? And you lost Yoshi the moment that you killed Tang Shen and kidnapped his daughter, did you not?"
"I did not kill her! It was Splinter who took her life!" Super Shredder argued, yet deep down a part of him wasn't even sure if he was right about that.
"Is that so?"
"Please stop!"
The sound of metal piercing flesh followed by a cry of pain reaches his ears as the memory replays in front of him over and over again.
"Deep down, you know the truth, Saki. You are the one that killed Tang Shen, not Yoshi. Just like you killed Hamato Yuta after you confronted him about the truth of your ancestors." Twilight Velvet said firmly. "The blood of Tang Shen and Hamato Yuta are not the only ones on your hands, but the blood of multiple innocents rests on your hands as well as your decisions. You kidnapped Miwa and lied to her her entire life, you brainwashed her into staying with you, you've nearly killed your enemies, who are only children, and you've been trying to kidnap a child all so you could use her as a weapon for your own selfish deeds."
"I... I..."
"You cannot hide from the truth anymore, Oroku Saki."
Super Shredder closes his eyes for a second, as if the memory of Tang Shen's death was still playing in his head. The sound of her cry of pain as he stabbed her remains in his head. "Yes, it's true..." he finally spoke. "I am the one that killed Tang Shen. I killed Hamato Yuta after confronting him for the truth of my ancestors. I've nearly killed children. I sided with the kraang. I've been trying to kidnap a child that I can turn into my greatest weapon. I've done it all. I accept it."
He reopened his eyes and there was nothing in them; no regret or remorse within them.
Just hatred and vengeance.
"However, I can live with it for I am destruction. I am death. I am... the Shredder," Super Shredder said as he glared at the spirit in front of him. "Now, give me the power that I seek or I will burn this temple to the ground."
The moment that he spoke those words, Twilight Velvet couldn't help but chuckle while at the same time, thunder and lightning were heard from the outside for a quick sky.
As if there was a force from within the temple that didn't like the threat that had left his lips.
"It's like I told you, Saki, the past Destroyers may have allowed you to come through, it does not mean that they are pleased with you and intend on giving you what you want," Twilight Velvet said. "They are not happy with what you've been doing in the world that they created."
"I will burn you and this place to the ground! There will be nothing left!"
"Goodbye, Oroku Saki."
When Super Shredder charged at her, Twilight Velvet waved her hand through the air and before he knew it, Super Shredder was standing right outside of the temple at the closed door.
Super Shredder growled as he slammed a fist on the door. "NO!"
๐๐๐
"I DON'T HAVE time for this," Jakestiltskin said, rolling his eyes at the familiar spirit that stood in front of him. "I came here, seeking that power I felt in order to destroy those who wronged me. Give it to me."
Twilight Velvet gave a low chuckle as she shook her head. "I'll tell you the same thing that I told Saki: you may feel that power but it is not meant for you. Now, let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we?"
She raised her right hand into the air and waved it around the chamber, letting memories of the past fill the entire chamber.
Memories that Jakestilitskin knew all too well as multiple voices were heard throughout the chamber.
"The deal is if your uncle and aunt do not have a child, then you'll be king."
"I'm gonna be the best king that the world's ever seen."
"Daddy, mommy, I don't feel so good..."
"Jake, since your aunt's pregnant, you're going to be your cousin's personal guard instead."
"A personal guard? I wasn't born to be a personal guard! I was born to be king! It was supposed to be mine!"
"Jake, sweetie... please don't do this. You're my son, and I love you."
"You took away my dream, my birthright. You're no longer my mother."
"NO!"
"You had a family that loved you, Jake. Your parents adored you," Twilight Velvet said. "But you threw it away for something that wasn't yours to begin with."
"The throne was supposed to be mine," Jakestilitskin spat bitterly, glaring at the spirit in front of him. "But that little Destroyer ruined all of it."
"But the throne was never really yours in the first place," Twilight Velvet said. "It was only going to be yours if my daughter and your uncle were unable to have a baby. And in your fit of anger and hatred, you murdered your own mother in cold blood."
"That traitor isn't my mother!" Jakestilitskin snapped angrily. "I disowned those liars and traitors a long time ago."
"Perhaps, but that doesn't change the fact that by blood, you are Jake Sentry, not Oroku Jake." Twilight Velvet added.
"Jake Sentry is dead," Jakestilitskin coldly argued. "He was weak and naive, so naive that his former family lied to him and destroyed his dream of ruling the world with power with ease. I, on the other am, am not weak and I will not let anyone get in the way of my dreamโ what rightfully belongs to me."
"Is that truly how you remember them? Your mother, before you killed her?"
"Jake, that's enough!" Quill told his fifteen-year-old son firmly. "Your need for power has gotten way out of hand! You gave Soren the idea to try to poison your aunt just to try to kill your cousin?!"
Jake glared at his father and it was clear that there was nothing but hatred and burning storm of anger inside of his eyes. "Aunt Twilight's fine, her stupid demon side warned her before she even took it." he rolled his eyes. "That 'power' was supposed to be mine, in the first place! Not to a monster or a Destroyer from the prophecy! She doesn't deserve the throneโ that damn baby is nothing but a monster that's destined to destroy everything!"
"That baby is your cousin and the firstborn heir to the throne, young man, so you will speak with respect." Quill said firmly, glaring at his son with a disappointed look on his face by his words.
"I refuse to respect a brat that's nothing but a weapon to be used for."
Dana Walker-Sentry gasped lightly at her son's words, tears forming in her bright blue eyes as she slowly stepped closer to him, hoping to change his mind. "Jake, sweetie, isn't being your cousin's personal guard enough for you?"
Jake only scoffed as he shoved her back. "A guard? A bodyguard? That's what you think of me? I wasn't born to be some stupid guard that has to take orders! I was born to be king and be the one that hands out the orders!"
"Well, whatever you like it or not, it's not going to happen, Jake!" Quill argued. "You are not going to be king!"
Jake growled as he clenched his fists, not even caring if he could feel the insides of his body being torn up. All he could feel in the moment was that bubble of anger and hatred growing and growing, consuming his vision till everything he saw was red.
"Screw you! Screw all of you! I hate you both!" Jake snapped, earning a small, muffled sob from his mother, who carried her lips with her hands. "I hate all of you, including that stupid baby!"
"That's enough, Jake!"
But Jake refused to listen to his father as he let out a angry yell, pulling out his own sword as he glared at the two adults in front of him, the hurt look on his mother's face or the shock written all over his father's face didn't even faze him anymore.
"Jake, sweetie... please don't do this," Dana said softly, her voice crackling as tears silently slipped down her face at the son that she didn't even recognize anymore. "You're my son, and I love you."
"You took away my dream, my birthright. You're no longer my mother."
"NO!"
But before Quill could jump in front of his wife to take the blow, the sound of metal piercing flesh reaches his ears as he's forced to watch Jake drive his own sword into his mother's upper chest.
Dana gasps softly in pain, the silent tears flowing down her face as she stares at her son. "J-J-Jake..." she breathes out.
But Jake meets her stare with no sign of remorse or guilt in his eyes as he pulls his sword out, simply watching as his mother's lifeless body falls to the ground and into his father's arms as Quill dove into the floor, catching his now dead wife in his arms.
"No, no... Dana!"
"You broke your father's heart that night because not only did you make him lose his wifeโ your mother, but he lost his son as well," Twilight Velvet said. "He lost you."
"I don't care." Jakestilitskin spat coldly with no sign of any emotion written on his face. "He's not my father, not anymore. My father is Oroku Saki. My name isn't Jake Sentry because that name is dead to me. My name is Oroku Jake and I want that power so, give it to me or this entire temple will burn to ashes."
Twilight Velvet shook her head. "So, you're picking the same path as Saki, huh? The past Destroyers might've granted you and Saki passage into the temple, but their power is not yours and they do not intention on giving it to you or Saki. Heed my warning, Jake: if you continue down this path, it will lead you to nothing more than your death and nobody will remember or even think about your name."
"You damn witch!"
Jakestiltiskin charged at the spirit, but Twilight Velvet stood there as she waved her hand in the air and before he knew it, Jakestiltiskin was outside where the doors to the temple were closed.
"NO!"
"Master Jakeโ"
"Silence!" Jakestilitskin snapped, clearly not in the mood to hear any of them.
"Master Jake, it's your father."
Jakestilitskin only glared at the doors to the temple before he turned around to face the man. "Father?"
Stockman-fly buzzed. "The serum! The mutagen!"
"Your serum worked, Stockman, Soren, Isabella," Super Shredder said as he faced everyone. "The flaw was in myself. My denial of my true nature, my dismissal of who I was meant to be, my delusions, but no more. The delusional and weak man known as Oroku Saki is gone. There is only death and destruction for I am... the Shredder!"
Super Shredder turned his gaze towards the Crystal Empireโ the kingdom looking so small from where they stood on the tallest mountain and a devious smirk came onto his face.
"It is time that we end our conflict with Hamato Yoshi and his family... once and for all."
๐๐๐
THERE WAS AN off, unsettling feeling in the air and Briana knew it. She could feel it and it felt like as if the air had suddenly gone still, but what really scared her was how it felt to her. She could've swore that it felt like there was death and destruction circling her, ready to either grab onto her or someone she cared about and she was terrified of it. It was as if the death and destruction circling her was ready to explode from her body and latched onto someone she cared about, taking them with her and there wasn't anything she could do to stop it.
No matter how badly she wished she could.
Briana tried not to put too much focus into what she was feeling it and rather focused on using the same healing mantra that Unagami had told her about to help April's spirit recover. Despite her friend being freed from the corruptive influence of Za-Naron, April's spirit needed time to recover and although Splinter had been helping her through some meditation while Leonardo and Henry used the healing hands mantra on her, Briana decided to lean a helping hand as well and use the one that she had learnt to help her friend.
Of course, it wouldn't bring April up to her full strength immediately, but it was a start and that was enough for all of them.
"You doing okay, April?" Briana asked once she was done.
"Yeah, definitely a lot better, actually," April reassured. "Not a one hundred percent yet, but I'm getting there and I guess, it's better than nothing with the Foot Clan here now."
Briana nodded in agreement. "Yeah, definitely."
Although April wasn't up to her full strength yet or has say anything about what she felt from her, she could still feel the battle that was raging on from inside of Brianaโ the battle where the darkness inside of her was trying to consume her whole by suffocating the light in her heart until there was nothing but darkness inside of her.
Not only did April not like it, but she had no idea why she could suddenly feel that way about herโ why she was suddenly feeling a darkness inside of her friend.
"Bri! April!" Leonardo stepped into the room, a panicked expression on his face. "I just got a text from Karai. They're in trouble!"
๐๐๐
five minutes earlier
PATROLLING THE AREA within the forest from the last battle against the Foot Clan, Karai, Derek, Scott, the Mighty Mutanimals, Daniel, David, Maya, Genevieve, Josephine, Pollyanna, Quill, John, and the guards of the Crystal Empire were all at work, searching for any signs of their enemies.
"So, if I was a complete psychopath like that idiot and stuck in a place where I pretty much can't leave," Derek said as he rolled his eyes, looking a bit annoyed over the fact that there was no sign of their enemies. "Where the hell did they go?"
"What if they found that the Temple of Destroyers place?" Scott questioned. "The one that Raph, Casey, Zane, Briana, and Kaz read about when they first got here?"
"Father did say that it was real and he did hear the voice that Briana was hearing," Karai added. "And considering how obsessed Shredder and Jake are with power, it'd make sense if they went there to get more, if they haven't already."
"We should contact the turtles and formulate a plan of attack." LeatherHead responded.
"My thoughts exactly," Slash said. "If they're still there, we can finally get the drop on them."
However, Rockwell suddenly felt a presence due to his powers while Derek and the other shapeshifters felt their noses pricked. "Everyone, we are not alone!" The mutant monkey warned.
Immediately, everyone went into defensive positions and readied themselves, glancing in every direction. Then, in the direction in front of everyone, Super Shredder and Jakestiltiskin appeared with their goons following close behind.
"Karai!"
"You ain't touching her." Slash snapped.
Derek found himself agreeing with the giant mutant turtle as he shifted himself towards Karai protectively. Despite knowing how well she could handle herself in a fight, he found himself not wanting Super Shredder anywhere near her.
"Scott, text Leo, Henry, and the others and tell them what's happening," Karai said.
"On it." Scott said, already pulling out his phone to do so.
LeatherHead roared and charged, causing the battle to start as both sides charged. The mutant alligator tackled Super Shredder, but he kicked the mutant alligator off and slashed his back with his blades, causing LeatherHead to roar in pain.
Quill and some of the guards were next to surround Super Shredder, keeping their shields up and swords pointed at him. Super Shredder, however, wasn't impressed and managed to knock down the guards and slashed at their legs, shoulders, and backs but Quill, who had been able to dodge the attack. Then, Quill dropped his shield but kept his sword in his hand and the moment that Super Shredder charged at him, he ducked to avoid him and slammed a knee into his stomach before uppercutting him in the face. Then, Quill lifted his sword and slashed at his side before stabbing his former brother in the left side. But before Quill could attack him again, Super Shredder grabbed him by his throat, slammed him into the ground before stabbing his right shoulder, and then throwing him into a tree.
Slash came next to land a successful hit with his mace to knock him back, but Super Shredder quickly recovered and was forced onto the defense when Daniel, David, and Scott took their chance to attack him while Rockwell telekinetically lifted rocks and boulders to throw at him. But none of that was able to stop Super Shredder as he avoided the rocks that were being thrown at him before grabbing Scott by his face and throwing him into the mutant monkey, sending the two crashing back. Then, he grabbed David and Daniel and slammed the two into each other before tossing them both to the side.
Slash attacked again with his mace but this time, Super Shredder blocked it with his gauntlets before quickly moving behind the giant mutant turtle and stomping on his foot before slamming a fist into his shell as the force of his punch sent Slash flying through the air before crashing onto the ground.
Both Derek and Karai circled him from both sides. "You think that this makes you more of a man than Splinter?" Karai questioned. "You really are delusional."
"Psycho's more like it." Derek commented.
Super Shredder ignored him and kept his focus on his former daughter. "This is the end of my result of my newfound power. I had shed my old coat of skin that was holding me back. This is who I am!"
"Blah, blah, blah, yeah, sure, whatever," Derek said as he rolled his eyes. "Can we skip the whole villain monologue this time? Nobody cares, dude."
"Congratulations," Karai told the man sarcastically with a glare. "So, you gonna try to convince me to come back to you? Try and brainwash me again?" She didn't seem to noticed how her words seemed to make Derek clenched his fists, his sudden hatred for the man growing tenfold.
"No," Super Shredder said. "You are not my daughter, you are that of Hamato Yoshi and Tang Shen, that is your choice. A choice that will cost you your life, just as it cost your mother's when I cut her down."
Derek felt his body froze at those words, his eyes widening as he realized what the man had just admitted too. He looked over at Karai to find that he wasn't the only one that realized it, spotting the furious look on her face.
"Karai, wait!" Derek said.
But Karai had immediately transformed into her mutant snake form and launched herself at Super Shredder in a fit of rage. However, he was prepared for it as Super Shredder sliced at the lunging Karai, cutting her across her body as she slid across the ground. He stepped closer to the downed Karai, who had transformed back into her human form, and grabbed her as he lifted her into the air before slamming her onto his raised knee, causing her to yell out in pain before throwing her away.
Karai's yell of pain rang in Derek's ears but it also triggered something else as it flashed before his very eyes.
A familiar yell of pain makes his ears prick as his feet finally came to a stop to the scene where the sound came from.
"Paige!"
"D-Derek..."
Derek could feel his body shaking with rage while Karai's yell of pain continues to ring in his ears. He clenches his fists as he feels his claws coming in and his teeth already changing while his eyes start to glow yellow. Then, without thinking or hesitation, Derek charges towards him.
Derek lunges at Super Shredder with his claws, but he blocks them with his gauntlets. Then, Super Shredder raised his leg and went to kick him, but Derek caught his leg and digs his claws into the skin as hard as he can before pulling it out and slashing at his chest. Super Shredder then grabs Derek's arm and goes to twist it behind his back, but Derek rips his arm free and instead grabs Super Shredder's arm, biting into it as he sinks his sharp teeth into it, earning a yell of pain from it. Then, Super Shredder kicks the teenage werewolf into his ribs, knocking the air out of his lungs and forcing Derek to let go as he falls onto his knees, coughing and gasping for air. Before he could react, Super Shredder slams a fist into Derek's face, knocking him backwards and then grabs him by his throat, lifting him up into the air, glaring at him.
"When they ask what happened here, tell them exactly who it was," Super Shredder told him. "Tell Hamato Yoshi that our quarrel ends tonight." He then tosses Derek away, who rolls to a stop just a few feet away from the downed Karai.
Derek gives a weak, frustrated growl as he slowly looks up to find Super Shredder and the Foot Clan walking away, leaving the rest of them laying on the ground, completely weaken and injured.
๐๐๐
BY THE TIME that everyone had gotten there, their enemies were long gone and the five mutant turtles, Henry, Briana, Kaz, Mara, Zane, Casey, April, Calista, and Splinter got there to find everyone helping each other stand up and onto their feet. Immediately, they all rushed forward to help but there was only one person who wasn't getting up.
"Karai!"
"Miwa!"
Derek had been ignoring his own injures and was rather focused on helping Karai while he had Scott applying pressure to her wound, hoping that it would be enough to stop the bleeding while he performed CPR and chest-compressions.
'Damn it, Karai. Come on!' Derek thought secretly to himself, not knowing why he seemed to be so panicked at the moment.
"She's lost a lot of blood, and she's not breathing." Scott informed the others, not removing his hands from the wound.
"Screw it." Derek muttered to himself before leaning down to her lips and performing mouth-to-mouth before switching in between to chest-compressions and mouth-to-mouth. "Come on, come on..." he muttered again. "Not again... not you too, Karai."
Henry's ears had pricked, picking up on Derek's mumbled words or how his eyes held panic and fear in them. 'Again? What does he mean again?' He thought secretly to himself. 'Did he...' he didn't let the thought finish, pushing it aside for now.
Suddenly, Karai's eyes shot open with a cough as she tried to regain her breath, still barely conscious.
"Miwa!" Splinter didn't waste any time in hugging his daughter while everyone else looked relieved. The mutant rat gave Derek a grateful nod, who gave a small nod in return with his own relieved expression on his face.
"What happened?" Raphael questioned.
"Saki happened." Quill said with a grunt, a hand on his bleeding shoulder.
"Super Shredder's back!?" Michelangelo questioned.
"He admitted it."
Everyone turned their heads to Derek, who despite having been beaten with possible broken ribs, held a furious look on his face. Though, Henry could've swore that he spotted a hint of sympathy when Derek took a quick glance down at Karai before he had quickly looked away.
"He admitted that he murdered Karai's mother and then, he tried to kill her too. It's like he's completely gotten rid of his humanity because trust me, there's nothing human about him," Derek said, his hands clenched at his sides. Even if he wasn't facing Super Shredder, just talking about him fills him with so much anger. He turns his gaze to Splinter as he pushes that anger aside for the moment. "He said that he wants to end your quarrel. He wants everyone dead."
Henry suddenly felt his nose pricked at the scents that filled the air, turning his head in the two directions they came from. "They went in different directions. Only one path has one scent."
It was easy for them to guess who went where.
"Henry, Raphael, Briana, Kaz, Casey, April, and Slash will come with me," Splinter instructed, taking note of who was still capable of fighting. "Leonardo, you will lead Donatello, Eclipse, Michelangelo, Zane, Mara, and LeatherHead in the other direction. Calista, Derek, and Scott help get Karai and everybody else back to the Crystal Empire."
Calista, not liking the idea of being separated from her girlfriend, wanted to argue but one sharp glare from Henry shut her right up. 'It should be fine. It's not like she'll be with April anyways.' She thought secretly to herself.
"Sensei, that's not a good idea," Leonardo tried to protest. "We shouldn't split up like this."
"Leo's right, sensei," Henry agreed. "None of us had been able to take Shredder down. We'd have a better chance taking him down together."
"This is not up for discussion," Splinter said firmly before glancing over at the two of them. "Leonardo, Henry, remember what I say before you embarked on this journey," he pointed toward their hearts to remind them. "From your hearts."
But even as everyone began to split up into their groups, both Henry and Leonardo couldn't help but feel uneasy about this but went through it. Henry and Eclipse glanced over at each other.
"Be careful." Eclipse told him.
"You too." Henry said.
The two shared a brief moment before going off in opposite directions with their groups while Calista, Derek, and Scott headed back to the Crystal Empire while helping everyone that was injured.
๐๐๐
THE FIRST GROUP consisting of Leonardo, Eclipse, Donatello, Michelangelo, Mara, Zane, and LeatherHead made their way towards a condensed area and a river over the cliffside. The mutant alligator sniffed the air. "The trail ends here. I can smell them."
"Yo! You saying we stank?" Bebop's voice echoed, sending them on guard. "We're gonna kick your asses for that, fool!" The mutant warthog fired a series of laser-projectiles Mohawks at them, causing the group to scatter and avoid them.
Suddenly, LeatherHead was rammed into the side by Rocksteady, but the mutant alligator was able to recover quickly, despite his previous injuries, and faced his enemy. The two large mutants charged and grappled with one another.
"LeatherHead!" Michelangelo was about to run over and help his friend, only for Bebop to block his path, delivering a roundhouse kick to knock the mutant turtle down.
Everyone turned to see TigerClaw, Soren, Isabella, Cameron, Noelle, Tyson, Razar, FishFace, and Stockman-fly charging at the group as well. In response, they readied their weapons and charged at their enemies.
๐๐๐
THE OTHER GROUP being led by Splinter had arrived at a familiar mountain range that they recognized. "This is where we faced each other before." Splinter said.
Henry couldn't help but feel like that they were being watched and looked up at the top of the mountain, only to glare at what he saw. "Guys, look." He said.
Everyone directed their attention to the top of the mountain where they found Super Shredder staring at them before he backed up, disappearing from their view.
"He's expecting us." Raphael stated.
"Then, let's not keep him waiting!" Slash said eagerly, as the group wasted no time in climbing the mountain.
However, as everyone was climbing to the top, Briana couldn't help but feel uneasy about this whole situation. She didn't know why but it felt like that feeling of death and destruction had quickly grabbed onto her, and now, it was as if the death feeling was expanding from her, exploding from her body.
"You feel it, don't you? Someone's going to die." Unagami said from inside her head.
Briana nearly huffed in annoyance at the demon's words but ignored it as she focused on climbing.
"Ignore me all you want, but you're the prophesied Last Destroyer. Death and destruction is always going to follow you, and there's nothing you can do to stop it." Unagami stated from inside her head again.
Then, once the group made it to the top of the mountain, Super Shredder was standing in front of them just a few feet away. "Hamato Yoshi. At last, my nightmare will end, for tonight, you will finally perish."
"Indeed, I will end your nightmares, Saki," Splinter responded, pulling the sword from his cane. "Permanently."
The two ran at each other, Splinter missing his strike, allowing Super Shredder to punch his shoulder before knocking him across the mountain. Splinter backed up to avoid his strikes, attempting to get back up, only for the mutant to grab him by the tail, slamming him into the mountain before throwing him across it, though the mutant rat managed to flip himself onto his feet as he skidded to a stop. He used the top of his cane to keep him up.
Super Shredder dashed at him for another attack, only for Slash to slam into him, preventing him from reaching Splinter. He managed to land another hit on Super Shredder before the large mutant slammed his hands onto his head and grabbed the turtle's plastron, throwing him across the mountain.
Casey shot an explosive puck at Shredder's face, temporarily blinding him. "Goongala!" He shot another puck at Super Shredder, which exploded in his face, leaving him open to Henry, Kaz, Briana, April, and Raphael. Casey continued to hit the large mutant with explosive pucks now and then, buying time for his friends to strike while April tended to Splinter.
Raphael and Kaz jumped onto Super Shredder's back, striking at his head. Super Shredder grabbed Kaz and slammed him into the mountain a few times before throwing him across it, and the teenaged boy rolled to a stop.
Super Shredder grabbed Raphael, slamming him into the ground and repeatedly punching him before grabbing him and kicking him across the mountain. He slammed into Casey, knocking him off the mountain but Casey managed to pull out his grappling hook and swing himself toward the ground.
April let her powers loose, lifting several rocks and threw them at Super Shredder. However, the large mutant quickly zoomed at her, dodging each object and tried to slice at her, but April saw his movements and drew her tesson to block the claw strike. But then, he stabbed her right shoulder and kicked her down onto the ground.
Briana leapt at the large mutant from behind with her katana blade, managing to slashed at his left shoulder. She jumped back to avoid his punch but the moment that she had jumped, Super Shredder grabbed her leg and slammed her into the mountain a few times before throwing her across the mountain.
Super Shredder turned towards the fallen teens but before he could attack them, Henry slammed a foot into the large mutant's chest, causing him to stumble back. Henry ducked underneath his blades and used his claws to scratch his chest before throwing a kunai knife at the large mutant. But Super Shredder deflected the knife and threw it right back at Henry, who ducked to avoid it. Taking advantage, Super Shredder slammed a knee into his ribcage before kicking him across the mountain toward April, Briana, Kaz, and Raphael.
Super Shredder started shooting metal barbs at them but Splinter leapt in front of them, knocking the barbs back until one struck through his shoulder, knocking him down.
"Your weakness is that you care about others," Super Shredder taunted, moving toward him. "I have torn all weaknesses away and became all powerful."
Splinter pushed himself up, running at his former adoptive brother and prepared to strike.
๐๐๐
WITH THE OTHER team, everyone was facing off against the Foot Clan with all of their strength, locked in a brutal battle. LeatherHead threw Rocksteady to the ground, moving to slam his tail into the rhino, though he managed to dodge.
"You want to get funky fresh with me?" Bebop taunted, dodging Michelangelo, but his cockiness stopped when the orange masked mutant turtle managed to smack him in the face with his nunchucks, sending the mutant warthog flying back.
Donatello was facing off against Soren as he used his bo staff to block the sword as their weapons slashed. The two leapt back and Soren was the first to charge, swinging his sword at him. However, Donatello ducked and swung his staff into his face, sending Soren flying back and crashing into the river.
Both Leonardo and Eclipse were facing Isabella, each one dodging her electricity. Leonardo held up his katana blades to block the bolt of electricity that were sent his way by Isabella and with her distracted, it gave Eclipse the chance to deliver a roundhouse kick, knocking her back. The brother-and-sister duo smirked at each other and at the same time, they leapt forward and slammed their fists into her, knocking Isabella into a river.
Mara ducked to avoid the ice blast that was sent her way by Noelle before the girl blocked her fist. "You wouldn't mind telling me where my Kazzy is, would you?"
Mara rolled her eyes as she kneed the teenaged girl in the stomach. "Damn, Casey was right. You really are annoying," she said with a scoff. "Listen here, Frosty the Snowman, get over yourself cause Kaz sure did."
"No, you're lying! I'm the one he really wants one, not just stupid Destroyer!" Noelle argues, refusing to believe the girl's words as she fired another ice blast at her.
Mara yelped and jumped to the side in order to avoid it, watching as the ice blast froze the tree behind her. Then, she turned her head and glared at her. "Oh, now you did it," she snapped. "Insulting my best friend was the wrong choice."
"Like I care."
"You're about to cause I'm gonna kick your ass, Frosty."
Mara charged at Noelle and ducked underneath the girl's arm when she went to punch her. Then, Mara kicked her from behind before slamming a fist into the girl's face, knocking her onto the ground.
"Come on, June-bug," Tyson said as he stepped closer to Zane after blocking the punch. "You know you want me back."
Zane scoffed as he kicked his stomach, causing Tyson to stumble back. "Yeah, right. Get over yourself, Tyson," he said. "It's not going to happen."
LeatherHead slammed into Razar and then into TigerClaw, dragging the two to the river.
"LeatherHead!" Michelangelo called, looking relieved when the mutant alligator resurfaced.
"Guys, we did it!" Donatello cheered. "We beat them."
Leonardo watched Bebop and Rocksteady leave, but not without taunting them. His eyes widened as he realized what this whole thing actually was. "Oh, no, we didn't beat them! It was all a distraction to split us up!"
Eclipse felt her eyes widened. "We gotta go help them!"
Immediately, everyone rushed off and took off running, hoping to make it in time to help the rest of their family.
๐๐๐
BACK AT THE mountaintop, Slash was barely conscious while the fallen teens were struggling to pick themselves back up as the only thing that they were able to do was watch the confrontation between the two former brothers as Splinter was fighting with a rage that none of them had seen in him.
Splinter managed to cut off one of Super Shredder's metal barbs, green ooze spraying from it. He cut off more of the barbs and clutched his sword, poised for another strike.
Super Shredder regrew his lost barbs, slamming his fist into Splinter, making both April and Kaz yell. "SPLINTER!"
Super Shredder slammed Splinter into the ground before throwing him across the mountain. He ran at Splinter and grabbed him before punching him a few times and throwing him across the mountain again.
"Is this how you choose to die, brother?" Super Shredder snarled, stalking toward him. "Lying on your belly like an animal?"
Splinter grabbed his sword, slowly pushing himself to his feet and facing the giant mutant. "Come, Saki," he said, keeping the sword out of his sight. "End this madness."
Super Shredder ran at him, moving to strike him. Splinter ducked out of the way, a hidden chain in the hilt of the sword wrapped around Super Shredder's ankles as Splinter dashed past. He pulled the chain, tripping Super Shredder, who slid across the mountain before falling off.
"Yes!"
Splinter turned to see Slash, Raphael, Briana, April, Kaz, and Henry all helping each other stand with smiles.
"You did it, sensei!" Raphael said.
"My family..." Splinter said, looking relieved.
But then, smiles quickly faded when Henry felt his ears pricked. "No... it can't be..."
"You feel it, don't you? It's about to happen." Unagami said from inside her head.
'No, it can't be true. He... sensei defeated Shredder... right?' Briana thought secretly to herself, worry in her eyes.
April sensed something through her psychic abilities. "Oh, no... Splinter!"
Splinter turned around to catch her warning but then, the piercing sound of metal slashing into pure flesh fills the air and reaches their ears as Super Shredder had quickly impaled Splinter, thrusting his blades into his torso.
"MASTER SPLINTER!"
"SENSEI!"
"FATHER!"
Super Shredder lifted Splinter into the air as the mutant rat gasped for breath. "And now, Hamato Yoshi... dies!" He throws him off the roof.
Time slowed down as everyone that stood on the mountain all screamed out in horror, unable to do anything but watch as Splinter's body was thrown off while everyone down below could only watch in horror as Splinter's body fell toward the ground.
Casey came in, swinging with his grappling hook to catch Splinter's body before falling toward the ground. Despite being close enough to the ground to not get seriously injured, Casey angled himself so he took the brute of the fall.
Splinter's eyes slowly began to close as his life faded from his body. The last thing he heard was his name being called as blurry faces were in his line of sight before everything went black.
Back at the top, Super Shredder only laughed, clearly having no remorse with what he just did. "Finally... victory is mine!"
Briana, who was breathing heavily out of anger, could feel her hands shaking with rage. Her entire body was shaking and trembling with rage as she gritted her teeth.
"You want revenge? Vengeance? Let that anger and hatred out. Every single negative emotion you've buried... let it out!" Unagami said from inside her head. "Everything you kept behind your walls... let it all out! Let him have it! Kill him!"
And for the first time in her life, Briana agreed with the demon inside of her. Her eyes turned evil red with black pupils in them while her hair started floating and her feet were slightly hovering off the ground. A black aura formed around her body while her hands glowed in a teal blue aura.
Before Super Shredder knew it, he was lifted into the air and suddenly cried out in pain when he felt his bones being crushed from the inside. Briana held him in the air and squeezed her fists, using her magic to squeeze his throat as hard as she could and cut him off from his oxygen. She could feel it deep down inside of her; the sight of watching Super Shredder gasped for air... there was a part of her deep down that liked it and it was even more glad that she was the one that was causing it for himโ that was cutting off his oxygen supply.
And although, she could feel a part of her trying to fight back and regain control out of fear, she could feel her anger pushing it away as she continued to choke the large mutant and crush him from the inside. Then, she slammed him into the ground before using her magic to cause a landslide, watching as the large mutant got caught in the landslide and getting dragged down toward the ground with not a single hint of regret or guilt in her eyes.
"Now, didn't that feel amazing? That power? The anger and hatred?" Unagami questioned from inside her head, a smirk on her face. "All you gotta do is let the darkness take over and nobody will be able to take away anyone you care about ever again."
Despite being injured and weaken from the fight, April closed her eyes and focused her powers on Briana, using her powers to connect herself to her friend. And right when Briana was about to give inโ to let the darkness take over, a familiar voiceโ April's voice echoed in her head.
"Don't do it! Don't let the darkness in."
"It's the only way you'd be able to protect your loved ones."
"Don't listen to her, Bri! You know we'll figure it out together! We always do!"
And as angry as she was or despite the urge that she felt to go kill her enemies, Briana found herself regaining control again as her feet touched the ground and her eyes returned back to their natural eye color while her hair stopped floating. With her thoughts and focus on her adoptive father, she and the others hurried to get back down the mountain as fast as they all could.
But what neither April nor Briana realized was that from the moment that April's powers had connected her to the purple haired girl, a connection had been forged between the two.
Everyone gathered around the lifeless body of Splinter with Leonardo, Eclipse, Donatello, and Michelangelo being the closest ones to him. Raphael and Briana were beside Michelangelo upon reaching the others while Henry was beside Eclipse. Everyone had tears flowing down their faces at the fact that Splinter was now gone and this time, it was for good.
There was no saving him this time.
"No...! Please...!" Leonardo muttered to himself. He remembered the first time that he was given his katana blades and the encouraging smile on his father's face. Ever since he was little, he had always admired him and did the best he could to live up to his expectations. It didn't matter if he felt like he didn't do a good enough job because no matter what, Splinter had always been proud of him.
Henry squeezed his eyes shut as he bit the bottom half of his lip, unable to stop the tears from falling. He remembered the first time that Splinter had given him his twin swords and the warm smile or the prideful look on his face. From the moment that he first met them as a little kid, Henry has always seen Splinter as a father figure and Splinter had always treated Henry as a son, making him feel part of the family or giving him the parental love that he had been deprived of with his own parents.
Eclipse closed her eyes, silent tears slipping down her face. She remembered the first time being given her kamas with that proud, encouraging smile on her father's face. She remembered how her father always made sure to be there when she needed him.
April's tears fell even as Mara tried to wrap her arm around her in comfort, despite the fact that Mara was trying not to let her own tears fall as well. When she was younger, her father had passed away and Mara remembered how much she missed him. However, when she met Splinter for the first time, Mara couldn't help but see him as the coolest hero she's ever seen while at the same time, she had also started to see him as a father figure.
As her tears fell, April remembered how Splinter taught her ninjstu or welcomed her, always making sure that she knew that she was welcomed at the lair. Splinter wasn't just her teacher, but he became like a second father to her.
When his parents had divorced, Kaz spent a lot of time hanging out at Casey's place since it was the one place where he could escape to where his heart didn't feel like it was breaking at the sound of his mother's soft cries at night, but also the place where Kaz also felt at home. Then, when he met Splinter for the first time, Kaz was welcomed into the lair with warm arms and Splinter made sure that he knew that the lair would always be his home if he needed to get away. Splinter wasn't just his teacher who taught him ninjstu or worked with Kaz to help him understand his powers better, but he was also a second father to him as well.
Zane felt his eyes filled up with tears, biting the lower half of his lip to try to keep them from falling. From the moment that he first met Splinter, Zane had always respected him and admired him, knowing that if he ever needed too, he could always go to him for advice.
Casey tried to wrap an arm around Zane in comfort, despite trying to keep it together as well. He remembered how the first time he met Splinter, Casey had actually been afraid of him due to his fear of rats but soon, he had come to respect him and see him as the wise and most badass hero that Splinter was.
Donatello closed his eyes as his tears fell, remembering how Splinter would sometimes observe his studies or when his father had first given him his bo staff. He remembered how Splinter would always give him advice and how he also encouraged him in his quest for knowledge but to keep an open mind for new possibilities as well as following your heart.
"Papa..." Michelangelo cried, remembering the first time that Splinter had given him his nunchucks. Even if there had been times where his father was strict, he knew that it was out of love and compassion. He remembered all the times when Splinter would sit with him to watch cartoons on the tv, which made the experience a whole lot better for him.
"Daddy..." Briana softly cried, remembering how she begged and begged Splinter to let her train alongside Leonardo, Henry, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Eclipse when they were kids. She remembered how she'd stay in the dojo even after training is done, trying to get the kata or the new training move right but had failed each time or how she used to struggle with holding the wooden weapons for training because of how heavy they had felt for her back when she was so, so skinny (though she was still a bit skinny right now). She remembered how she thought about quitting for a second, thinking that she was never gonna be as good as her big brothers and big sister but it was Splinter that had convinced her not too and helped her get better with her training. She remembered the first time that she had been given her katana blade and how proud Splinter had looked at her with that encouraging smile on her face.
Raphael closed his eyes so tightly, desperately trying to hold back his tears but in the end, silent tears slipped down his face. Out of all of his brothers and his two sisters, Splinter had always been the strictest with him and while at times it felt like he didn't care, Raphael knew in his heart that Splinter did care. He remembered the times where Splinter gave him advice and lessons to help him control his temper. To him, Splinter wasn't just the strongest warrior he's ever seen but the best father he could ever ask for as well.
And with heavy hearts, the five mutant turtles, Henry, and Briana all picked up Splinter's body and slowly walked away from the area with everyone following as they made their way back to the Crystal Empire.
When they were all gone, the pile of rocks and boulders that had clustered together at the bottom of the mountain from the landslide, a hand clenched into his fist shot out from the pile as a pair of blades shot out.
"Nobody knows when it's their time to go or how it'd happen, not even their loved ones. But when that time comes, the best thing to do is to remember that person and everything they taught you and to do the next best thing while making them proud, knowing that they're watching over you from above."
