"Dogs, everyone says that they're man's best friend. I, for one, can't help but agreed with that fact and I'm not just saying that because I love animals, especially dogs. I mean, this is also when I get my very own dog! Oh, that's right, I didn't tell you that yet! Well, his name's Max, he's a German Shepherd that's actually a Belgian Malinois, and he is definitely the best dog I've ever hadโ€”! Okay, now I'm rambling, sorry! I'll let you get to the story!"

BRIANA WAS INSIDE the lab sitting in her chair while she was writing in her diary. She was meeting Kaz in a bit and she just had to write about how she felt in her diary. Just the very thought of Kaz was enough to Briana blush as her heartbeat would pick up in her chest. Calling her completely lovestruck by him was a understatement for sure but it was definitely true. The moment Briana first met Kaz that first night, it was love at first sight for her. She was too busy writing in her diary to even paid attention to Donatello working on his master plan or Leonardo, Raphael, Henry, Michelangelo, and Eclipse walking into the lab to see what the two were up too, seeing as how they've been within the lab since their morning training was over.

"What are you two up to?" Leonardo asked, making their presence known.

"I'm just writing." Briana answered, not looking up from what she was writing in her diary.

"And I'm just putting the finishing touches on my master plan." Donatello answered, not looking up from what he was tracing.

"Uh, master plan?" Raphael questioned.

Donatello added another line to his chart. "Yeah, to get April to hang out with me."

"Try this," Eclipse suggested, smirking. "'April, do you want to hang out with me?'"

"Yeah, it's not that simple," Donatello said as he continued to examine his chart. "I have to prepare for every possible response to maximize my chances of success. For instance, if April says she can't because she has homework," he points to a particular thread. "Then I will suggest an informal study session and offer healthy, brain stimulating snacks."

"And what if she says she can't because you're a total nerd?" Raphael asked.

"Ah! That's this thread here!" Donatello said as he pointed to said thread. "I will list my many non-nerdy qualities and suggest activities that will highlight my coolness. Such as skateboarding and shark wrestling."

"Well, isn't that romantic?" Henry teased before he mimicked the purple masked mutant turtle's voice. "Hey, April! Wanna see me wrangle up a couple of sharks? It'll be fun!" Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Eclipse burst out laughing.

Donatello frowned. "I don't sound like that!"

"That's why we're laughing because you sound nothing like that." Eclipse told him with a smirk.

Donatello opened his mouth to said something but was cut off by another voice. "Guys!"

April then came into the lab, holding her laptop in her arms. Donatello panicked and flipped the board several times, trying to cover his flowchart. He grabbed it and it finally stopped on the other side where there was a movie poster reading: 'Space Heroes III: The Search for Mindstrong.'

"H-hey... h-hey, Apโ€”hey, April." Donatello stammered, smiling awkwardly.

April paid him no mind, sitting down at the desk and setting her laptop down, opening it. "You guys gotta check this out!" She typed away at the keys for a moment before a site came up. She clicked on a video and it started playing.

"Renowned neurochemist, Dr. Tyler Rockwell has been reported missing. I spoke with Rockwell's colleague, Dr. Victor Falco."

The image of a man with gray hair and wearing a white lab coat came up. "I hadn't heard from him in days so I stopped by his lab. The place was a mess and he was gone. I fear the worst."

"Police say that they haveโ€”"

April stopped the video and shut her laptop.

"So?" Raphael asked.

"So, the kranng have been kidnapping scientists from all over the city." April explained. "Including my dad. Maybe that's what happened to this Rockwell guy."

"Or, they may not be connected at all." Leonardo said simply.

"There's only one way to find out," April said as she stood up. "We should go to that lab and look around."

"April's right!" Donatello piped up. "We should go check it out! What's that? You guys are busy?" He placed a hand on April's shoulder. "Guess it's just the two of us, April."

Then, the purple masked mutant turtle began to lead April away. When she wasn't looking, Donatello looked back at the others, giving them a thumbs up as he winked then leaving the lab with April.

Once they were gone, Leonardo snorted and walked up to the board. "I bet that wasn't on his flowchart." He turned the board so he could see the chart and stared at it. "Woah, it is! Okay, that's spooky."

"Uh, I think the word you're looking for is creepy." Eclipse said. Raphael, Michelangelo, and Henry nodded in agreement.

The orange masked mutant turtle then smirked towards the purple haired girl. "Soo, you and Kaz going on a date tonight?"

Briana felt her cheeks and face turned bright red from the words that left her brother's mouth. "N-no!" She stuttered, which only making Michelangelo smirk even more. "We're just hanโ€”hangโ€”hanging out!"

Then, Briana closed her diary and placed it in the drawer before standing up. "Have fun on your date." The orange masked mutant turtle said teasingly while the others watched with amused grins.

"Mikey!" Briana whined with a red face as she quickly left the lab to avoid anymore teasing.

"It's definitely a date." Raphael said with a smirk. Leonardo, Henry, and Eclipse nodded.

Henry looked over and spotted Michelangelo reading Briana's diary. "You know she's gonna kill you when she finds out that you're reading her diary, right?"

"Not if she doesn't find out." Michelangelo said with a smirk, Briana's diary in his hands.

"She will," Eclipse added. "Don't come asking for help when she does."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

BRIANA HAD HUNG out at the ice rink with Kaz and after a few hours of ice skating, the two were heading back to the lair. The two were chatting with each other and even now and then, Briana couldn't help but blush whenever Kaz flirted with her, her heartbeat quickening in her chest. "You know, for your first time ice skating, you did really good." He said.

Briana smiled shyly as she played with her purple hair. "You were still better than me though," she complimented. "Especially with those cool tricks and spins you were able to do."

Kaz shrugged, waving it off to the side. "You'll be able to do them too one day," he said. "I just pretty much grew up at the ice rink with how many times Casey and I had gone there back when we were kids."

Briana smiled at his words as she blushed lightly. "Well, this was a lot of fun, I had a really good time," she admitted honestly. "I wouldn't mind doing it again."

Kaz smirked as he winked at her. "You looking for more ways to spend time with me, M'lady?"

Briana felt her cheeks turned bright red as she blushed, nervously twirling the ends of her purple hair around her finger while her heartbeat quickened its pace in her chest. She shyly looked up and her sapphire blue eyes met his dark brown eyes. "Maybe I am." She admitted softly, her cheeks bright red.

Then, the two made sure that nobody was looking before entering a alleyway. Just as they made their way over to the manhole cover, the sound of whimpering caught their attention, causing them to look over. In their view and slowly coming out from behind the dumpster was a small brown fur puppy with black fur mixed with the brown. The small puppy even had black fur around his face too.

Just from the sight of the puppy, Briana felt her sapphire blue eyes turned into hearts. "Aww!" She said. "Poor boy."

Briana slowly walked over to the small puppy and bent down a little in front of him, slowly holding out her hand as she let the small puppy sniff her hand. The puppy sniffed her hand and remained where he hid before looking up at the purple haired girl and slowly walking over to her as if he'd made the decision to trust her. Once the puppy walked over and reached her, she carefully picked up the puppy and held him in her arms.

"You're okay, boy," Briana whispered softly to the puppy, who stared up at her, not realizing that Kaz was watching with a soft smile and a awestruck expression on his face. "You're okay."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE BOTH BRIANA and Kaz had gotten back to the lair and Briana got the puppy cleaned up and fed, the small puppy had grown comfortable around them and was now sitting on the purple haired girl's lap, enjoying the pets that he was getting from her as everyone was watching tv. Then, they all looked over to see April and Donatello coming back to the lair but what none of them excepted to see was April supporting Donatello, who was limping.

"Whoa, what happened?" Raphael asked.

"Donnie got beat up by a lab monkey." April answered, making everyone look at each other.

Henry stepped forward and placed Donatello's other arm around his neck to help him walk. "April, can you get a ice pack?" He asked.

April nodded and ran for the kitchen while Henry slowly and carefully led Donatello to the couch where he gently lowered him onto the couch and he laid back on his shell.

"Donnie, you gonna be okay?" Leonardo asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Donatello answered.

"In that case..."

Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Henry burst out laughing while Kaz tried to keep himself from laughing. Briana bit her lips in order to keep herself from laughing at the thought of her brother getting beaten by a monkey.

"You got beaten up by a monkey?" Eclipse asked, still laughing. "In front of your girlfriend?"

"She's not my girlfriend!" Donatello said. "And that monkey was a vicious monkey!"

"I'm sure he went bananas!" Leonardo said, only making them laugh harder. "No, no, he went ape!" None of them were able to stop themselves from laughing.

Raphael was the first one to notice April coming back as he quickly stopped laughing. "No more monkey puns." He warned the others as everyone quickly stopped laughing.

April sat down on the couch and placed Donatello's head in her lap. He chuckled quietly, smiling as April placed the ice pack on his head.

"Are you laughing at him because he's hurt?" April demanded irritably.

"No," Michelangelo said. "We were laughing at him cause he got hurt by a... monkey!" He threw his head back and fell onto his shell, laughing once more.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

A FULL DAY after the monkey incident, they were still laughing about it while Donatello had healed up just fine yet he was still upset about losing since he still got his shell kicked by a monkey. Everyone was sitting in the living room; Leonardo and Michelangelo were sparring, Raphael was reading a magazine, Eclipse was reading a comic book, Donatello was in front of the tv, Henry and Kaz were doing their homework on their respective laptops, Briana was looking up dog names on her own laptop while petting the puppy that was laying right next to her, and April was looking at her laptop, going through the files that were in the flash drive that Donatello had swiped off of Rockwell's desk.

"Guys, I think I found something," she said after some time. Curious, they all went over to look at the screen. "These notes are hard to follow but it looks like Rockwell was able to modify the mutagen."

"Why would he do that?" Leonardo asked.

"He thought he could use it to create a neuro-chemical that would temporarily give someone psychic abilities." April explained.

"You mean that monkey was psychic?" Eclipse asked.

April shook her head. "It's more like he was reading our emotions. After all, he was only hostile when Donnie was hostile."

"Yeah, well, next time I'll be sure to think friendly thoughts while I'm beating a little sunshine into him." Donatello said, smacking a fist into his palm.

"Okay, we need to track him down before he attacks someone else," Leonardo stated. "Let's go up to the surface, spread out, and search."

Raphael frowned. "How are we gonna stay in contact?"

"I have a little something that might help," Donatello said as he looked proud. He walked over to the front of them, hands on his hips. "Gentlemen and ladies! I give you... the T-Phone!" He lifted his arm to reveal a hand-sized cell phone shaped like a turtle shell with a little retro ringtone coming from the speakers.

"Dude, I'm in charge of naming stuff," Michelangelo said as he stood up. "I would've called it... the T-Phone."

The purple masked mutant turtle raised a brow. "I did call it the T-Phone."

"Yeah, but I would've called it the T-Phone." Michelangelo said, sounding upset.

Eclipse rolled her eyes at him while Raphael smacked the back of his head with his magazine.

"And, April," Donatello held the T-Phone to her. "If you give me your cell number, I can patch you into our network."

"Sweet!" April took her phone and started typing in her number.

Donatello beamed, doing a little fist pump. "See that? I got her number!" He whispered to Raphael and Eclipse so only they could hear.

"Her number's on the fridge, you dork." Raphael replied to him only.

"So is Kaz's and Henry's number." Eclipse replied to him only as well, reminding him of how the phone numbers of their three human friends were on the fridge.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"GUYS! SOMEONE JUST spotted the monkey on Bleecker!" April's voice came through their T-Phones as they were all in different locations, searching for the monkey.

"I think I'm on his trail," Eclipse said into his phone. She ran and leaped over a couple of rooftops before she spotted the creature. "I got eyes on him. He's heading south on Delancey!"

"I'm on Houston!" Donatello said into his phone. "I'll cut him off."

Keeping a tight grip on her phone, she kept going over the rooftops. From far away, she could see Donatello's figure suddenly stop.

"Donnie, you still see him?" She asked through her phone.

"No, I lost him."

"He changed directions." Leonardo's voice comes through the phone. "Anyone got eyes on him?"

"Mikey, the monkey's headed your way." Kaz's voice comes through the phone after spotting the monkey.

"I'm on it!"

Eclipse changed course, heading for Michelangelo's location. Not long after that, she spotted the orange masked mutant turtle running in the street, giving the assumption that he lost the monkey. Every one of them ran around, searching for the monkey, only for the monkey to escape them as they all met up in the open end of a alley.

"Did you guys see where he went?" Captain Violet asked.

"I thought he went in that direction." Donatello said, pointing right.

"I thought it was that way." Raphael said, pointing left.

Suddenly, Boy Danger could've swore he felt his ears perked up, picking up the sound of a monkey from somewhere around them. Blinking, he looked around in confusion when he didn't spot the monkey till he noticed April heading into the alley. He watched as April grabbed the lid and slowly lifted it before holding out her hand towards something that was inside the dumpster and helped him out of it. The monkey stood there, staring at April.

Suddenly, one of Michelangelo's nunchucks shot out and wrapped around the monkey, pinning his arms to his sides. The creature roared, baring his sharp teeth.

"Ah-ha! Got you this time!" Michelangelo exclaimed.

"Great, we found the monkey," Raphael said. "But we're not any closer to finding Dr. Rockwell."

The monkey roared in April's face, making her back up. When he calmed down, she walked up to him, examining his face then she blinked. "Actually..." she turned to face her friends. "We're a lot closer than you think."

"What? How?" Donatello asked.

April gestured to the monkey. "I think this is Dr. Rockwell."

They all turned to stare at the calming animal.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

DR. FALCO WASN'T even the slightest startled when Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Eclipse came into the lab. After meeting Donatello and April the other night, the shock of meeting a mutant turtle had worn off at that point. After explaining that the monkey was actually Dr. Rockwell, they helped Falco get Rockwell strapped to a large chair so he couldn't get out and escape. The moment he was strapped in, Rockwell started thrashing and hooting, trying to get out. Falco quickly took out a syringe and stuck it into Rockwell's arm, causing the mutant monkey to grew quiet, his breathing slowed down, and his eyes finally closed.

"There, that should calm him down a little." Falco said, walking closer to the monkey. "Poor Rockwell."

"Is there any way to get him back to normal?" Kaz asked.

"I wouldn't even know where to begin," Falco said sadly, placing a hand on Rockwell's head. "But I'll see if there's a way to give him some supplants of a normal life."

Boy Danger frowned slightly, not sure of why his instincts were telling him not to trust him. He could feel something inside of him growling at him as if it was telling him not to trust him.

"He's lying." Boy Danger could hear a voice in his head telling him that, the suspicious in his gut growing. He tried to see what was telling him this but he shook it off, not seeing what was making him feel this way.

'Besides, it's probably nothing, right?' Boy Danger thought secretly to himself, putting his suspicions aside.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

EVERYONE WAS SITTING in the kitchen, waiting for their dinner to arrive while Michelangelo was playing a video game on his T-Phone. "Man, this is asteroid field is tough!" He grumbled irritably. "I just can't beat it!"

"Pizza's here!" Raphael called out as he entered the kitchen.

As everyone each grabbed a slice, the steam issued from the box and wafted over to the orange masked mutant turtle. His head snapped up and he sniffed the air.

"Must eat pizza... but can't stop playing..." Michelangelo leaned over to the box. "But must eat pizza! But can't stop playing! But must eat pizza! AAHHH...!" He slammed his face into the pizza box. He sat back, a pizza shoved halfway into his mouth, and started playing his game again.

"Sorry we didn't get any closer to finding your dad, April." Leonardo apologized.

"It's okay," she said gently. "Everything we learned about Kranng is another piece of the puzzle."

"Yeah, but psychic research?" Leonardo asked while shaking his head. "This is one weird puzzle."

Henry was lost in his thoughts, wondering about the voice he had heard earlier. He could feel something in his gut telling him to go back to the lab and save Rockwell but no matter how hard he tried to ignore it, it wouldn't dissolve that easily.

Splinter walked up, holding a plate with a single slice of pizza. "I am curious, April," he said. "How did you know the monkey was really human?"

April paused. "I don't know. Sometimes I just... get a feeling about these things."

"A feeling? Hmm... interesting."

Splinter walked away to enjoy his dinner without another word. All of them did the same, chewing down their own slices. Eclipse looked over and noticed the purple masked mutant turtle wasn't eating but looking at his laptop.

"Hey, Donnie, how come you're not eating?" She asked. "There's only one slice, dude." She grabbed the box and shifted it closer to him. "Don't you want it?"

"Wha...? Oh, I'm not hungry." Donatello said. "Something's been bothering me."

Catching his attention, Henry looked up and sighed. "If I'm being honest, something's been bothering me too since we left Rockwell with Falco."

Relieved that someone else had the same suspicions as him, Donatello nodded. "Falco said that Rockwell was experimenting on a monkey."

Leonardo raised a brow. "And?"

"Well, according to these notes, he never had a monkey in his lab. He was just using samples of monkey DNA."

"We're still not following you."

Henry felt his ears perked up as his body stiffened. "I might have a idea on where this is going."

"If he never had a monkey," Donatello said as he looked up at them. "What broke out of that cage?"

Silence fills the room as realization hits all of them. "It must've been Rockwell." Raphael said.

"Which means Falco put him there and he's been lying this whole time." Donatello added with a scowl.

'Damn it, Henry, you knew! You knew he was lying!' Henry thought secretly to himself, silently scolding himself.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

BY THE TIME that the five mutant turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet entered the room with their weapons at ready, they could see Rockwell still strapped to the chair unconscious while Falco was standing in the middle of the room, holding a syringe with a bright liquid. He brought the needle to his neck and injected himself with it. Then, he retracted the needle, and when his eyes opened, they were bloodshot and crazy as if he were a mad scientist. In this case, he could actually be considered one.

"Alright, Falco!" Leonardo pointed to the scientist. "We've had enough of yourโ€”"

"Do not say 'monkeying around.'" Eclipses warned and Raphael nodded in agreement.

"I wasn't going to..."

"Yes, you were," Falco said. He dropped the syringe and walked up to them, a smirk on his face.

"It's over, Falco!" Boy Danger declared.

"We know it was you that mutated Rockwell!" Donatello added.

Falco's smirk widened. "I used him as a guinea pig."

"Well, it didn't work!" Michelangelo said. "You turned him into a monkey."

"Mikey, that's not what he meant." Captain Violet told him.

"The psychic neuro-chemical I extracted from his monkey brain is changing me," Falco said. "Your minds are opening up to him."

"So, this was your plan all along." Donatello said.

"Of course! No man can defeat you when you know his every thought."

"Oh, really?" Raphael growled. "Then you must know I'm gonna smackโ€”"

"Smack the white off my lab coat?" Falco chuckled. "How humorous."

"Lucky guess!" Raphael yelled, charging at the scientist, who didn't move. The red masked mutant turtle spun around and made to kick the man in the head but Falco simple ducked and backed away. "What?"

Falco grinned evilly before motioning for him to come again with his finger. Once again, Raphael charged and went to attack again but it didn't work with Falco reading his every thought. Then, Leonardo, Eclipse, Michelangelo, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet went in to attack the scientist as well but none of them were able to get a single hit on him.

"A man who can read minds is unstoppable." Falco said, standing over the heroes that were on the ground. "Once I dispose of you, no one will be able to stand in my way!"

"We'll see about that!"

Donatello drew his bo staff and charged at Falco. He swung his staff once, twice, thrice, and Falco managed to dodge every single one of them. He threw Raphael's sai at the mutant turtle, who used his staff to dodge it. He lunged his staff forward, trying to hit Falco's torso but Falco simply grabbed his staff, spun around, and threw him to the side. The turtle hit the wall and fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

"I really must admire that complex brain of yours!" Falco said. "You come up with so many ideas! Too bad I can see them all coming. By the way... do you really think you have a chance with April?"

Donatello looked angry at that statement but then closed his eyes. "I can do this." He whispered. "I just have to fight without thinking. No thinking..." Falco laughed evilly. "Don't think, just do."

Donatello opened his eyes and smirked at the scientist. Then, without hesitating, he charged and for the first time, Falco looked surprised. Donatello spun around twice, each turn ending with a kick; one to the face and the other to the chest. Falco growled and charged but Donatello only held his leg out and tripped the man. Then, he raised his fist as he punched Falco in the process. He took a step forward, kicking his foot out and knocking Falco in the back. Falco turned and went for one more punch but as he swung, the mutant turtle jumped and backflipped over the scientist.

He landed on the side of the wall, pushing himself out. He did a corkscrew spin in midair while punching Falco in the torso several times before hitting him with a force that the man was pushed back into the large cage in the wall. Donatello grabbed his bo staff and sheathed it just as the others came too and walked over to him.

"Wow, Donnie! Nice work!" Raphael said, looking impressed.

"Ha! What'd I tell you about those backflips, huh?" Michelangelo smirked as he picked up a canister of mutagen. "Pretty cool..."

"Now that we have the ooze, let's see what Falco knows about the Kranng." They all turned towards the cage to find it empty. "Falco's gone!" Donatello exclaimed.

Grunts came from the across the room as they looked over to see Rockwell had woken up.

"So, what do we do about him?" Captain Violet asked, feeling bad for the strapped mutant.

Then, Donatello went up and unlocked the braces that kept the mutant monkey restrained to the chair. The mutant monkey then leaped to the window. He opened it, paused, then looked over at them.

"I'm no psychic," the purple masked mutant turtle. "But I think he's trying to thank us."

The monkey stared at them for a while before finally jumping out the window.

"Uh, if he reacts to angry thoughts, is New York City really the best place for him?" Boy Danger asked, sounding skeptical.

They froze, having forgotten all about that part. Then, there was the sound of a car horn going off.

"Hey, monkey! Get outโ€”!" But the yelling got cut off by a loud, crashing sound followed by a monkey hooting a man screaming. There came the sound of a car crashing, causing the seven teenagers to flinch.

"I'm sure he'll be okay." Leonardo said, not sounding too sure himself.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE EVERYTHING WAS back to normal, everyone was inside the lair, doing their own things. Both April and Kaz were both inside the dojo with Splinter since he had wanted to talk to both of them.

"April, it seems you have a rare gift, a sensitivity I have trained my entire life to develop." Splinter said.

"Don't worry, you'll get it." April said sweetly.

"I did. It just took me a long time."

"That's nothing to be ashamed of."

"And Kaz, it seems you have a burning fire deep within you," Splinter added as well, having sensed a power inside him. "What I'm trying to say is that I would like to train you both to be a ninja and a kunoichi, a female ninja."

Both Kaz and April couldn't help but smile at those words. "Wow, that's quite an honor! If I do this, does that mean I can kick everybody's butt?" April asked.

"We don't believe in using our abilities that way." Splinter said seriously.

"Oh, yeah... but I could, right?" April asked.

Splinter chuckled. "Yes, but I warn you two, it will not be easy," he said more seriously. "You will be trained just as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, Eclipse, Henry, and Briana have. Training to be a ninja or a kunoichi will be the hardest things you've ever done. It will drain you mentally, physically, and spiritually."

"Well, it can't be worse than high school." Kaz said with a shrug and April nodded in agreement to that.

Back in the main area of the lair, Raphael and Henry were reading their comic books, Eclipse was on her T-Phone, and Briana was still looking for dog names on her laptop with the small puppy laying next to her as April and Kaz walked out of the dojo. As Kaz sat down on the couch, Donatello looked over to where April was as he leaned against the doorframe of the lab coolly.

"Hey, April," he said. "You, ah, wanna hang out tonight?"

"That sounds great, Donnie," April said. "But I can't. I'm training with Splinter to be a kunoichi."

"Oh." He poked his head back into his lab, the others could hear him mumbling something to himself. "Well, then... maybe we can train together sometime."

"Sounds great!" April said, smiling and started to walk away.

"You see?" Donatello beamed to the others. "Haha! My flowchart is awesome!"

"Dork." Raphael answered without looking up from his comic book while the others shook their heads.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

A FEW HOURS later and Henry, April, and Kaz had left the lair, heading back to their homes before it got too late. Briana stared at her laptop before her sapphire blue eyes landed on a name as a wide grin came onto her face. She set her laptop to the side and picked up the small brown puppy, setting him in her lap.

"Did you find a name for him?" Eclipse asked curiously.

Briana nodded with a eager grin on her face. "Max," she said before looking down at the puppy. "What do you think, boy? How does Max sound?"

Now named Max, the puppy gave a bark as its tail wagged, licking her face. Briana giggled as she petted the puppy with a smile.

"That's your name then," Briana said with a smile. "Max. Looks like I gotta get you a collar now."

Max just wagged his tail, licking her face while Briana giggled and scooped him up in her arms, petting him while the mutant turtles smiled.

"Well, now you know how I found Max. I never regretted taking him in and I meant it when I said that he's the best puppy I ever had. You wondering what I mean by 'had?' You'll find out later on in the story."
