"You didn't really think that it was just me, Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Clips, Henry, April, and Kaz, right? Nope, not even close! This family just keeps getting bigger!"

A FEW WEEKS had passed since the whole incident with Slash and Max, the seven of them had all healed up nicely and Donatello's arm was better than ever. The only difference was that to Raphael and Briana, things didn't feel the same way that they did before and often times the two would find themselves thinking back to when times were simpler—or more accurately, a time before Slash and Max had gotten mutated—a time where they were just... Spike and Max

Briana sometimes found herself thinking back to that incident—to Max.

"MAX! NO!"

"Max! Aw, you're okay, boy. Thanks, Raphie."

"Are you two hurt?"

"No, I'm fine. My ears are just gonna be ringing for hours now, and I think Spike's just freaked out."

"Aw... hey there, little guy. You okay, Spike? You're all good. Ol' Raph won't let anything happen to you."

"Wow, I did not see that one coming. Is everyone else okay?"

"Yeah, we—"

"Are you crazy!? No, we're not okay!"

"What happened here!?"

"I'll tell you what happened, Master Splinter! Donnie almost blew us all up. AGAIN! And worse, he almost blew up Spike and Max!"

"Raph, dude, I'm really sorry. I—"

"Sorry doesn't cut it this time! Until the mad scientist gets his act together, I'm holding this for safekeeping!"

"No, Raph, be reasonable! That's my last canister of mutagen!"

She wondered if there was something about that incident that she could've do and prevent the whole thing from happening in the first place. If she had done something, then maybe both Max and Spike would still be here, and she wouldn't be missing her good boy so much.

But she didn't do anything, and because of that, Max wanted to kill all of her brothers and sisters.

He wasn't like Slash, who seemed to have only targeted Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo—no, Max was targeting all of them; Leonardo, Henry, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Eclipse.

He had wanted to get rid of them, thinking that would free Briana from them as she could hear his words in her head everyday.

"They're the ones that have been lying to you, remember? Why do you care about what happens to them now if they're the ones that betrayed you?"

And she knew exactly where Max heard that from...

"I know what you're thinking of, boy. I don't want to avoid them but it still hurts too much, knowing that they knew something about my past and instead of telling me, they kept it from me."

"I know they didn't mean to lie to me and I'm not mad. I just... talking to them right now hurts too much right now after finding out that they knew."

Was she responsible for the whole mess in the first place? The only reason why Max wanted to get rid of her brothers and sister for good was because of what she told him—all her doubts and insecurities, she told Max about it and he used it as his motivation to do what he did.

"I can't believe you're falling for their whole we were protecting you excuse. They never saw what they did to you—I did! You were broken, and they broke you even more."

She hadn't—no, she didn't need Max to tell her that she was broken. She knew she was, it was all she's ever been and felt her entire life. After all, ever since she was a little kid and when everyone else were passed out asleep, Briana was the one that would cried herself to sleep, feeling like the lost and broken little girl that she was, who didn't understand why her own parents would give her up.

Not only that, she knows that her brothers and sister hadn't seen what their little secret had done to her—no, what their little secret was doing to her—how badly it broke her and made all of her doubts and insecurities conquered her mind every single day.

She knows they don't see it because she didn't let them see it, especially since she has always been perfectly capable of hiding her doubts and insecurities from anybody. No, she could never let them see how broken she truly was—to her, they didn't need to see her brokenness and more importantly, she wouldn't let her brokenness ruin their happiness.

"My sons and daughters, you are truly becoming impressive warriors. But to grow as a team, you must know each other's strengths and weaknesses." Splinter said as the seven teens drew their weapons.

Out of nowhere, Michelangelo had then burped into Donatello's face, causing Donatello's eyes to turn red and watery. "Ugh, right in my face! Really?"

"Garlic and clam pizza!" Michelangelo said, smiling while the others grimaced with disgusted expressions on their faces. Even with his heightened senses, Henry could smell it from where he stood and it smelt awful.

"This competition is a free-for-all. Last ninja standing wins," Splinter said. "Hajime!"

"I'm still seeing spots." Donatello mumbled, not seeing Raphael sneak up behind him until he kicked him into the tree.

"Sorry, Donnie, but it's a ninja-eat-ninja world." Raphael commented. Michelangelo was too busy laughing until he gasped, upon realizing that Raphael was going for him next—but Leonardo came in front of him, blocking Raphael's sais with his swords.

"What are you doing, Leo? I was going for Mikey." Raphael questioned, blocking his swords with his sais.

"What part of 'last ninja standing' don't you understand?" Leonardo asked before he spun and kicked Raphael in the chest. The moment that Raphael stood up, he went after Leonardo again as the two began fighting.

With Donatello being the first one out, Henry and Michelangelo faced off against the other while Eclipse and Briana went against the other.

Raphael swung his sais, but he blocked and kicked him back. Then, Raphael attacked him and he blocked and knocked out one of his sais as he knocked out of his swords too. Leonardo round-kicked Raphael, only for him to block it. But then, Leonardo smirked and jumped and kicked his chin with his other foot, making Raphael fall onto the ground while Leonardo landed on his feet easily.

Henry's ears prickled at the sound of an angry growl, and just when the others had turned towards the scene, Michelangelo looked nervous. "Uh-oh, he's awoken the beast."

Then, before anyone could react, Raphael attacked his brother and shoved him to the ground hard. "Raph! What are you doing?" Donatello asked angrily, as he and the others raced over.

"I-I didn't mean to hurt him! It was an accident! Seriously!" Raphael said, trying to defend himself.

"We have spoken about this, Raphael," Splinter scolded. "Anger is a dangerous ally. It clouds your judgement. You need to control it, before it controls you."

"But, Sensei, I wasn't angry! I was just..." Raphael said. "Determined to win."

Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo didn't seem to believe as the three of them stared at him with questioningly looks—Donatello and Michelangelo helping him stand up.

"What?! I said I wasn't angry!" Raphael yelled at them.

"Right... you're totally not angry." Michelangelo said, skeptical.

Eclipse smacked the back of his head at those words. "Quit antagonizing him."

"Raph—"

Not letting Henry finish, Raphael looked at his brothers before turned and walked out of the dojo, no doubt heading for the surface to calm down.

THE NEXT DAY, the school bell rang as everyone was starting to make their way to their classes. Casey was at his locker with a beaten up face when Kaz showed up and leaned against the locker next to his.

"Okay, who are you, and what did you do to the real Casey Jones?" Kaz questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Cause unless I show up at your place to drag you out of bed, you never show up to class on time."

"Well, we have that trig exam today, right?" Casey said, trying to play it off while hiding his beaten up face. "I totally studied for it."

"You know, I would believe it, if it weren't for the fact that you don't study unless I'm there to force you," Kaz said, having known him too well. "Why are you hiding your face?"

"What? I'm not."

Kaz raised an eyebrow at him, clearly not believing him. He grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back a little to get a glimpse of his face, only to find it all beaten up.

"Studied, right?" Kaz questioned, not having believed his words. "Did your trig textbook punch you in the face?"

Knowing that he was caught, Casey was about to tell him about what he said when April walked by with Irma following her. "Well, well, Casey Jones finally makes it to class. What a surprise, ready for the big trig exam?"

"Oh, yeah," Casey said, going with the lie he told Kaz. "I was up all night... studying."

"Really? Did your homework punch you in the face?" April questioned.

"We had a um uh, late-night hockey practice." Casey said.

"Isn't the rink closed after dark ever since that mysterious fight broke out there a few weeks back? So, how exactly did you get those bruises, Casey? Hmm?" Irma questioned.

"What are you, Irma, my interrogator?" Casey asked in an annoyed tone.

Right as Irma began walking away, Casey pulled April closer to him and Kaz as he whispered to the two. "I saw something crazy last night—as in mutant crazy."

Casey didn't notice the quick exchanges between Kaz and April. April didn't get a chance to said anything as Irma grabbed her hand and began pulling her away from the two.

"Come on, April. We've got our exam, and I will not be late this time."

THE MOMENT THAT school was over for the day, Kaz and April had gone to the lair and were currently inside of the dojo with Splinter for training while the seven other teens were headed for the pit to take their seats. Michelangelo jumped and sat beside Donatello, spilling some of his popcorn on him. "Yo! You ready for 48 hours of mega-thrusting, evil-fighting, galaxy-saving, super sentai action?"

"I was, until you spilled greasy popcorn on me!" Donatello shouted at him.

Michelangelo picked a popcorn kernel from his brother's nose and ate it. "My bad."

"Hey, Leo," Leonardo turned to see Raphael coming over to him. "You got a minute?"

"I was gonna check out Super Robo Mecha Force," Leonardo said.

"Cool! So, here's the deal. See, I—me—ah. I'm, um, sorry." He whispered the last part.

"What was that?"

"I said I was sorry." Leonardo leaned closer to try and hear, but Raphael yelled. "Sorry! Okay? SORRY!" Henry could see the shocked expressions on Donatello's and Michelangelo's faces. "I thought I had my anger under control. Turns out I didn't. But now I do, seriously."

"He means for now," Michelangelo said. "I give him ten seconds."

"Mikey." Eclipse warned.

Michelangelo ignored her and started counting. "9, 8, 7–"

"Mikey, stop." Briana warned.

"What are you saying, Raph?" Leonardo asked.

"6–"

"It's not that you are angry."

"5–"

"But we make you angry?"

"Leo." Henry warned, knowing exactly what he was doing.

"4–"

"I never said that." Raphael argued.

"3, 2, 1."

"SHUT UP!" Raphael yelled.

"Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!" Michelangelo exclaimed, grinning.

Eclipse stared at him with a glare. "You just don't learn, don't you?"

Raphael panted angrily and stormed off. "Raph, wait," Leonardo called. "I was just busting your shell. Come on, hang out."

"Eh, let the big green baby go." Donatello."

"Dude, really?" Henry questioned.

"That's mean." Briana added.

Raphael grabbed one of his throwing stars and tossed it at Michelangelo's popcorn bag, causing it spill all over him and Donatello, who were doing a fist-bump while Raphael left the lair.

"You two had that one coming." Eclipse told them before she stood up and went after the red masked mutant turtle.

Once she was gone, Henry turned to the other three mutant turtles with a frown on his face. "You guys don't learn your lesson, huh?" He asked.

"It was a joke, it's not our fault if he can't handle it." Michelangelo said.

"It's not a joke, not to Raph," Henry defended. "He was trying to apologize, but you guys had to make him upset again."

"We don't make him upset," Donatello said.

"We were just teasing him." Leonardo added.

"And that's fine," Henry said. "It's fine if you guys are teasing him, but you guys also have to learn when not to fuel his anger with fire because that is just going to make him more upset."

Leonardo, Donatello, or Michelangelo said anything after that, letting his words sink in.

"THOSE GUYS ARE making me loopy. They just don't get it!" Raphael complained to his sister as they were standing on a nearby rooftop. "How is it possible that you, Hen, and Bri can get it but they can't!?"

"Because we're obviously your favorites." Eclipse said with a jokingly smirk.

Raphael couldn't help but give a small chuckle at those words. "Okay, fair point, but still! They just don't get it! All they see is my anger and they act like I hurt Leo on purpose, when I didn't!"

"They were teasing you, Raph," Eclipse said. "Yeah, they have terrible timing but they didn't mean any harm."

Then, as Eclipse and Raphael hopped down into a alleyway and lifted the manhole cover to head back to the lair, none of them realized was that Casey had spotted them, recognized Raphael, and seemed to have had his phone out.

"IT CAN'T BE! Our great enemy!" The princess said.

The monkey screeched in fear as Lunk had said, "Yes, Squeakums. It's Cyberpoid X!"

"Haha! I have invaded the secret Mecha Force lair of Super Robo Mecha Force Five team five." The robot used its laser to trap the four members in bubbles.

"Oh, no! He has trapped us in many force bubbles! Captain Dash, what are we going to do—ah!"

Somehow, Captain Dash had managed to slap the poor genius through the bubbles. "Calm down, Dr. Blip. Team, I have created a powerful shame for the rest of you. But I shall not give up, not now, not ever!"

He stiffened when the enemy pointed a cannon at him.

"What about now, sir?"

"How can one guy infiltrate Super Robo Mecha headquarters?" Briana questioned.

"He used his laser tentacles to shut down the defense systems." Michelangelo told her.

Raphael walked through the turnstiles with Eclipse. "You guys watch so much tv, your brains are gonna rot."

"Yay, Raph's back." Donatello said, dully.

Eclipse smacked the back of his head as she sat down, and Raphael sat down as well. But they weren't the only ones that had made it to the lair.

"ALRIGHT, JONES, WE made it this far," Mara told him quietly as she, Casey, Zane, and Calista were crunched down by the turnstiles to keep from getting spotted after Casey had called them. "Now what, genius?"

"Uh... I honestly didn't think far up ahead." Casey whispered.

"...Seriously?"

"I didn't think there'd be more of them!" Casey defended himself in a whisper.

"Don't fight now, or else we'll get caught." Zane whispered.

Calista was the only one who hadn't said anything as she had nothing but a slight frown on her face from the sight of the five mutant turtles.

"You know, I'm kinda curious how Henry and Bri know about them," Mara whispered. "You think—"

Before she could finish, Casey had accidentally knocked one of the pizza boxes onto the ground. He managed to catch the box, but the fork had clattered to the ground.

Henry's ears prickled at the sound as he, Briana, and the five mutant turtles turned around and spotted them. "Intruders!" Donatello yelled.

"Oh, man." Casey mumbled.

"Oh, nice going, Casey," Calista told him. "You got us caught."

Both Henry and Briana felt their eyes widened when they saw who was inside the lair.

"Aw, sewer apples." Briana muttered under her breath.

"You again!?" Raphael said, recognizing Casey as the five mutant turtles had ran over.

"You know this guy, Raph?" Michelangelo asked.

"Guys, wait!" Henry said as he and Briana ran over.

"They're not intruders!" Briana added.

More footsteps were heard as Splinter was emerging from the dojo with Kaz and April. "Always trust your instincts, April, Kaz. A well-honed intuition can be sharper than your eyes." Splinter informed.

"Yes, Sensei. I'll—" April and Kaz noticed some familiar faces being surrounded. "Casey? Mara? Zane? Calista?"

"You know these guys?" The question was asked by both sides directly at April, Kaz, Henry, and Briana while April and Kaz ran over.

"Don't hurt them! They're our friends." April explained. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Better question is, how do you guys know these freaks?" Casey asked.

"These are the other friends that I told you about." Kaz said.

"Wait," Zane said, confused. "So, they're not the bad guys?"

"No," Henry said as he began the introduction. "Meet Leonardo," he gave a small nod. "Donatello," he smiled awkwardly. "Eclipse," she gave a small nod as well. "Michelangelo."

"What up?" Michelangelo greeted, only for Raphael to reach up and smack the back of his head. Michelangelo gave him an annoyed look while Raphael shook his head in irritation.

"And the one and only, Raphael." Henry finished.

"So, are they all Italian or something?" Mara asked.

"Indeed," Splinter spoke for the first time since they've been there, shocking Casey. "I named my sons after my favorite painters and sculptures of the Italian renaissance—" he held out a book titled History of Renaissance Art. "And I named my daughter after the lunar eclipse."

Kaz, already knowing what was about to happen, stared at Casey, who screamed while pointing at Splinter before falling flat on his back, unconscious.

"Casey, wake up," Kaz said, kneeling down beside him as he helped him sit up once he woke up. "This is Master Splinter, he's cool."

"You do not have to fear me, my friend," Splinter said. "Rest assured, I do not bite."

"He's a giant t-t-talking rat?" Casey asked.

Raphael laughed loudly. "Hahaha, big bad vigilante's afraid of rats."

Michelangelo took the opportunity to pick a roach off the ground and hold it up to Raphael's face, and since Briana was near him, it was also in her face as well. The moment that the two noticed it, both Raphael and Briana screamed—Briana pushed her brother's arm away from her face while Raphael leapt into the air, retreating into his shell, and falling to the ground.

Kaz and April managed to get Casey to his feet, as Casey gave Splinter a nervous look. Suddenly, April groaned and clutched her head as everyone and turned towards her.

"What is it, April?" Splinter asked.

"Sensei, we're not alone."

"Sensei?" Calista mumbled lowly under her breath so nobody heard her, her perceptive of April, Henry, Kaz, and Briana already changing—to make it worse for her, she hated how Mara and Zane were taking it all in as if there weren't five mutant turtles and a mutant rat in front of them.

Everyone looked up to see Foot Bots in the lair as it was suddenly swarming with them, all standing in different corners of the room and on the ceiling. The seven teens drew their weapons as the Foot Bots jumped down from the ceiling and took out their own weapons.

"Raph, you led the enemy right to our lair!?" Leonardo asked accusingly.

"It's the kid's fault!" Raphael defended. "He was following me!"

"My fault!?" Casey questioned as he glared at him.

"Booyakasha!" Michelangelo yelled, whacking a Foot Bot with his nunchucks.

"Booyakasha? What the hell does that even mean?" Calista mumbled under her breath again.

"You're the one who did this." Raphael growled at Casey.

"They followed you too, dude!" Casey argued me.

"Don't 'dude' me, dude!"

"Are you two gonna fight like kids and get your head chopped off or can we focus here?" Kaz reminded, saving Casey from getting his head taken off by a Foot Bot.

"Hey! He'll give away our location!" Donatello yelled, as everyone turned to see one of the Foot Bots' eyes glow red, as it was scanning the lair.

"Don't let that robot escape!"

"Casey Jones is on it." He said, running after it.

Raphael shoved him out of the way. "Tell Casey Jones I don't need his help."

Kaz sighed before running after them, jumping over the turnstiles.

"Ain't no way am I letting Jones have all the fun." Mara said with a smirk as she ran after them. Briana noticed this and took off running after her, jumping over the turnstiles too.

The group were running after the robot and Raphael threw a grappling hook at the robot, only for it to catch Casey instead.

"What are you doing?" Casey snapped.

"Me? You got in my way!" Raphael snapped.

"Come on, focus!" Mara said, running past them with Briana and Kaz.

They chased after the Foot Bot until more dropped them.

"Where'd he go?" Briana asked, as they started hitting and stabbing the Foot Bots.

"That bot gets back to Karai and Cameron and gives away our hideout, you answer to Splinter." Raphael said.

"The rat?" Casey demanded.

"No duh, Jones! Who else is he talking about?" Mara retorted.

"There he is!" Kaz said, spotting the robot run off.

Casey grabbed a spray can, shook it, pulled the lid off with the mouth of his mask, and spit it out. The can let out a hiss, threw it at the bot, and it exploded, leaving yellow paint all over the robot but with no damage.

"Yes!" Casey exclaimed, now they couldn't lose sight of him.

They took running after the robot again. "Faster, guys!" Casey said, passing them on his skates.

The sound of rumbling and screeching grabbed his attention as Casey turned to see a subway train coming. "Look out!" He shouted, shoving Raphael and Kaz out of the way while Mara did the same with Briana as the subway train went past them. "You guys okay?"

"Yeah, thanks." Raphael said. "There he is!"

They exchanged looks, and jumped on top of the robot. Their weapons hit as the Foot Bot flew past them. They attacked again, ducking to avoid the pipes. The robot knocked into Casey, almost slamming him off the train but Kaz grabbed his arm, and Raphael pulled them both back onto the train.

"Thanks, guys." Casey said.

"No problem." Kaz said.

"Now, we're even." Raphael added.

The Foot Bot jumped and crashed through the windows of the subway bridge. Casey leapt through the hole, Kaz and Raphael following close behind as the three of them attacked the bot. Both Briana and Mara shown up seconds later through the stairs as Briana kicked the robot down the stairs.

Casey skated down the bars of the staircase, as the others jumped down. Briana threw her sword while Raphael threw one of his sais, pinning the robot against the pillar. However, the robot broke free, losing both arms to the sword and the sai. Both Briana and Raphael retrieved their weapons from the pillar, and they all jumped from the turnstiles to see the bot running up the stairs.

"He's going for the street!" Mara said.

"We can't let him get away!" Briana said.

"Casey!" Kaz said, pointing to his gloved hand where he knew he had a stunner.

With that, Casey jumped to catch up and both Kaz and Raphael helped him by grabbing his hands and throwing him at the bot. Casey used a hand-made stunner to electrify the robot, sending it tumbling down the stairs. Briana threw her sword at its head, powering it down for good.

"That was... to close." Casey said, trying to catch his breath.

"You think?" Mara asked, trying to catch her breath as well.

"Nice job," Kaz told Casey.

"He's right. Sure, you're raw, unfocused, dangerous, crazy!" Raphael said, before smirking at Casey. "But not bad."

"Thanks," Casey said, removing his mask. "You're not so bad yourself, for an amphibian." Then, with smirks, Kaz, Raphael, and Casey gripped the other's hands tightly—a newfound friendship forming between the three of them.

"You know, for your first time," Briana said towards Mara with a smirk, retrieving her sword and putting it away. "You did really good."

"You did too," Mara said with a smirk, holding up a fist bump. "Shall we?"

Briana smirked and held up a fist bump as well. The two of them pushed their fist bumps together, calling out in unison. "Pound it!"

NONE OF THEM had a single clue to how much time had passed as they made it back to the lair. "Dudes, the way we chased that thing down!" Raphael said.

"Don't forget about that subway chase!" Kaz added.

"And what about when I shocked it with my stunner?" Casey asked. "How cool was that?"

"Okay, you definitely have to teach me some of those moves." Mara told Briana, a grin on her face as the group hopped over the turnstiles, only to find the rest of the Foot Bots trashed.

"Aw, man," Mara said, putting an arm around Briana's shoulder. "No more action for me and B?"

"Aw, what's up? No more robots left for me, Kaz, and Raph?" Casey asked, putting one arm around Kaz's shoulder and the other around Raphael's shoulder.

"Whoa! Okay, what's up with you guys? You're like best friends forever or something." Michelangelo questioned.

Casey couldn't help but hide behind Kaz as Splinter approached. "I see you two have found a new ally, Raphael, Briana."

Briana looked over at Mara and smiled. "Yeah, I did." She agreed.

"Thank you for helping my family." Splinter thanked them.

"No problem, rat-dude," Casey said and Mara nodded in agreement. Then, Casey turned to both Kaz and Raphael. "Wasn't a bad warm-up. But now it's time to clean the scum off the streets."

Raphael shoved him playfully. "Let's do this!"

Kaz smirked, a wave of adrenaline rushing through him. "What are we waiting for then?"

The three of them laughed before turning, hopping over the turnstiles, and leaving the lair once again.

Mara turned towards Briana with a smirk. "We can't let them have all the fun now."

Briana just smiled at her as she chuckled. "Nope, let's go." And with that, the two of them turned and hopped over the turnstiles to run after them with grins on their faces.

"Great," Donatello said with a whimper. "You know what this means, right?"

"Raph made a new friend?" Eclipse wondered.

"Worse!" Donatello shuddered. "Technically, this means that now, we have... three Raphaels!"

Michelangelo and Leonardo felt their eyes widened before groaning, Henry and Eclipse shook their heads at them, and April and Zane weren't sure whenever to look concerned or worried. Calista, on the other hand, couldn't help but looked a tad annoyed by this—and she was already not looking forward to anything having to deal with them.

"And from here on out, the family just continues to grow bigger and bigger with a whole lot more adventures coming."
