Here it is, folks! The last episode to season one before we've officially reached season two!

Enjoy!

"Heroes. I think it's safe to said that everyone has those heroes that he or she looks up too. To some, it may be a family member or to others, it could be a role model that they look up too. But, really, what makes somebody into a hero? Because in the end, the hero that you may be looking up too may not always be the good guy that you think he or she is."

"AND NOW... THE final episode of Space Heroes!"

Briana was eagerly sitting on the floor alongside Leonardo as the two were sitting dangerously close to the tv, their eyes glued on the bright screen since neither one of them wanted to miss a single thing from the cartoon, seeing as how this was the very last episode before their favorite cartoon was completely finished.

Captain Ryan and his crew were trying to escape the danger that they were facing as their ship was taking multiple hits from the enemy ships.

"Captain, the Destructinators are on our tail!" Cranshaw cried out. "We're... lost!"

"I've got an idea," Captain Ryan said. "It's crazy, it defiles all logic, it's illegal in 16 solar systems, and... my mother would most assuredly not approve, but... it might just work."

With that, Captain Ryan then pressed a button on his chair's arm. There was a second's silence and sirens blared while red lights flashed and the entire ship started shaking.

"Abandon ship!" Captain Ryan said loudly.

"Huh?" Leonardo asked, completely shocked while Briana stared at the bright screen with wide eyes and her jaw opened a little.

While his crew had marched over to the transporter, Captain Ryan remained behind.

"Captain, aren't you coming?" Cranshaw asked desperately.

"A true captain goes down with his ship."

"Sir... it's been a privilege toโ€”argh!"

Captain Ryan had slapped Cranshaw across the face for the last time. "Just go!" The doors then closed and Captain Ryan sat back down in his seat, gazing at his ship for the last time. "Well, old girl, it's just you and me..."

"What a hero..." Leonardo said, gazing at the screen while Briana was too intrigued by the show.

Suddenly, the tv powered down and shut off, causing the two to whip around to see the purple masked mutant turtle with the remote.

"Hey!" Briana cried.

"What are you doing?" Leonardo snapped. "That's the final episode of Space Heroes!"

"I've got something a little more important." Donatello said.

Briana couldn't help but pout a little, clearly disappointed that she and Leonardo wouldn't get to find out what happens next for the finale episode. Grudgingly, she forces herself to her feet as she and the others follow him into the lab where they gather around his desk where a gigantic, golf ball that was a bigger than a watermelon seemed to beโ€”of course, the gigantic ball turned out to be a kranng communication device that April and Kaz had discovered deep within the sewers while the others had been out saving Donatello and Kirby.

"April and I have been shifting through all this kranng chatter," Donatello said, typing away on his computer. "And... well, listen to what we've translated."

He typed a bit more as the device lit up. Within seconds, a kranng droid's voice came from the device. "The final phase of the plan known as Kranng's invasion shall commence in the unit of time that is 6 hours. The Technodrome shall arrive from Dimension X through the portal."

"Are you sure this is the translated version?" Michelangelo asked with a smirk.

Donatello facepalmed. "They said in 6 hours, something called the Technodrome is coming through that portal. This is the final phase of the kranng invasion."

"Wait," Leonardo said. "But I thought April and Kaz were the keys to the kranng plot, and they don't have either of them."

"If that Technodrome comes through, well..." Donatello turned to look at them. "It sounds like the end of the world."

"So, what do we do?" Eclipse asked.

Both Leonardo and Henry shared a look and nodded. "Guys..." Leonardo said, as they all turned to face them. "We've gotta find a way to shut that portal down."

"Leo's right," Henry added. "It's up to us."

"To save the world?" Michelangelo asked.

"Leonardo and Henry are correct," Splinter said from behind as he walked in. "When you first went up to the surface, I feared you were not ready. But, I have come to realize that you were not only ready to become heroes; it was your destiny. And if the fate of the world must rest in somebody's hands, I am grateful it is yours."

Everyone smiled and bowed to him. Right when they started to leave the room, Splinter stopped Leonardo and Henry.

"Leonardo, Henry. A moment please." Splinter said as the two turned back to him. "With the world at stake, the only thing of importance is that you complete your mission."

"Yes, sensei."

"No matter what you have to sacrifice... or who."

Both of the teens froze at those words and Henry swore he felt his stomach dropped. Did he actually mean...? The thought of that was enough to make Henry feel sick. However, both Leonardo and Henry nodded slightly up at their father and once the mutant rat walked away, the two teens felt his words ran through their heads again.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

ONCE THE SEVEN teens had everything that they'd need for this mission and their plan that Leonardo and Henry made, they were all set to go. They had just finished saying bye to April, Kaz, and Splinter before they'd left, promising to come back as soon as they were done.

"Gentlemen, ladies," Leonardo said. "Let's save the world."

The doors to the ShellRaiser opened and the seven of them entered their vehicle. The doors slid shut, the engine powered up, and the lights flashed on as the ShellRaiser drove off down the tracks till it was out of sight.

"Alright, guys," Leonardo said. "We're gonna keep it simple. We go to TCRI and use the micro vision Omni disintegrator, which Donnie and Violet calculates is strong enough to destroy the portal with a single shot."

"Well, why didn't we use it last time?" Michelangelo whined.

"Because we didn't have it last time." Donatello stressed, mocking his brother's tone.

Michelangelo frowned. "You have an answer for everything, don't you, Donnie?"

"Yes, I do."

Eclipse snorted. "Good one, Donnie."

"Speaking of good one," Raphael added. "Are you sure this plan will work, Leo, Danger?"

Both Boy Danger and Leonardo hesitated at first, sharing a quick glance with the other as neither one wanted to imagine what would happened if it didn't.

"It has to." Boy Danger finally said, after he and Leonardo looked away.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

IT'S BEEN AN hour since the seven teens had left the lair and there was still no word from any of them. With no word from any of them and not knowing if they were alright, both Kaz and April were deeply worried for them and even though Splinter kept reminding them to remain patient, it wasn't as easy for them as they'd wanted it to be. Every now and then, Kaz would find himself glancing up at the entrance of the lair where he hoped that they'd be walking in, all ready to tell them that it worked while he leaned against the wall next to the pinball machine but it never happened so far and it was enough to make him anxious.

April was just as anxious as he was. The teenaged redheaded girl kept pacing around the living, throwing the occasional dirty looks at Splinter behind his back since she was seriously upset with him at the moment. She groaned and walked over to the pinball machine, leaning against it glumly.

"Hey, April, Kaz," Kirby greeted the two teens. "Where is everybody?"

"The kranng are making their move," April informed. "The turtles, Henry, and Bri are on their way to TCRI."

"TCRI? Oh, no..."

"What's wrong?" Kaz asked, noticing Kirby's sudden distress.

"The kranng know that the others are coming for them." Kirby revealed.

"How do you know this?" April asked, taking out her T-phone.

Kirby stopped her before she could do anything. "Don't! The kranng cracked the T-phone's inscription. We've got to warn them in person."

Kaz couldn't help but hesitated a little and noticed April did as well.

"I'm your father, April," Kirby said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You have to trust me." April spared a glance over at Kaz for a while before they nodded. "Come on." He turned and began to leave the lair with the two teens following close behind.

"April? Kaz?" Splinter asked, causing the three to halt in their steps. "Where are you going?"

"The turtles, Henry, and Bri are in trouble," April informed. "We gotta warn them."

"But, you know it is dangerous for you two to be on the surface." Splinter reminded firmly.

"Well, some of us can't just sit around and do nothing!"

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

LAUGHTER FILLED THE air as the seven teens were wearing their own metal wings that Donatello had made to fly through the air. As they flew through the air, Captain Violet could feel the wind blowing through her purple hair and she couldn't help but feel free by how being up in the air felt, her mind wondering if Kaz felt that way whenever he had the chance to use his flying powers.

"Do you know what it's time for?" Michelangelo yelled. "The world's first ever, midair, high-three!"

Immediately, the seven of them turned their wings, met in a circle high in the air, and shared a high-five to what they called a high-three. After that, they broke the circle and went on gliding, continuing with their mission.

"This is awesome!" Michelangelo cried happily. "Turtles and humans were born to fly!"

"Alright, guys," Leonardo said seriously. "Let's do this."

They all flew forward, heading to TCRI as everyone followed Leonardo's and Boy Danger's lead, gliding across the sky and around the building till they reached a narrow edge on the side where a group of pigeons rested. As they landed, most of the pigeons scattered and flew off, but one remained.

Raphael smirked. He leapt forward and snatched the bird in his hands. He backed up and slid across the wall until he was up by the little security camera on the corner. Lifting his hand holding the pigeon, he used it to block the camera.

The others followed, being careful not to make him fall or move. Once they were safe, Raphael slowly set the bird down, stroked its head for a bit, and walked after them. The seven teens were holding very still while Leonardo held his hand up to keep them still. He leaned forward and peeked just barely to look around the corner before pulling back and whispering something to Donatello and Michelangelo, who nodded.

Leonardo backed up and moved to where Raphael, Eclipse, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet stood while Donatello backed up several feet, drawing his bo staff. Michelangelo reached into his belt and took out his climbing claws, placing them on his hands.

Then, he leaped out from behind the kranng and into the light. "Hey, kranng!" He started making silly faces, laughing and making noises at the two alien robots that stood there. While he was doing that, he pretended to lose his balance and fell off of the edge, leaning against the wall and staying there, thanks to the claws. Then, the two alien droids stepped onto the ledge and peered down, only to find Michelangelo smirking at them before pointing to the side. Donatello ran forward, swinging his staff and knocking the two droids off of the edge and towards the far ground down below. Donatello placed his staff away while Michelangelo climbed back onto the ledge where they stood.

Then, Boy Danger pulled out a grappling hook. He aimed and shot, as the hook flew out to hit the opposite pillar of the building. The others drew their weapons and managed to use them to get across the building.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"Henry, Bri, and the turtles are out there risking their lives..." Splinter was trying to focus on mediating, but it wasn't easy since the words of April and Kaz kept replaying in his head over and over again. "Don't you think they could use your help?" His body tensed as he tried to remain motionless. "Even if they're ready, they could still use your help." He released a breath that he was holding in and frowned lightly. "Some of us can't just sit around and do nothing!"

Soft footsteps echoed throughout the dojo and immediately, Splinter leapt to his feet and whipped around, grabbing his staff and holding it out. "Stop!"

But it was only Kirby that stood there. However, the look on his face looked blank with eyes that made him look like a robot.

"Where are April and Kaz?"

"Master Shredder wanted you to have this message." Kirby said mechanically.

From behind, two Mousers came marching out with loud squeals before stopping in front of him. A bright red light issued from them, forming a huge hologram of the one and only Oroku Sakiโ€”the Shredder.

"So, Hamato Yoshi... you thought you could hide from me forever."

Splinter glared intensely at the hologram, old memories resurfacing in his head. It was like he could still picture Tang Shen's and Twilight Sparkle's begs and pleads for them not to fight, the burning fire that raged on within his father's dojo and childhood home while he, Flash Sentry, Quill Sentry, and Oroku Saki were fighting, Tang Shen jumping in front of him to stop Saki from delivering the fatal blow onto him, and his wife's lifeless body in his arms.

"I have April O'Neil and Kazimeras. And if you value their lives, you will come and face me like a man. We will finish what we started... all those years ago."

The message ended, and the hologram disappeared. Kirby stared at Splinter before he simple turned and walked out of the dojo with the mousers following. The giant mutant rat fell to his knees as he dropped his staff, squeezing his eyes shut tightly as those memories resurfaced in his head once more. He took several long breaths to calm himself down before forcing himself to stand up with a determined look in his eyes.

He knew what he had to do.

He was going to get April and Kaz back.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE NEXT THING Splinter knew was that he was standing in front of the dark chapel that Shredder had made into his lair. He walks up to the double doors and easily defeated the two Foot Bots that had been guarding. As he headed inside, more guards had charged at him as expected and he easily took them down as he wasn't really focused on them since he was more focused on getting April and Kaz out of there.

He makes it another set of doors inside and sneaks inside easily. He glided past Bradford and Xever easily as the mutant dog was the first to charge at him. However, Splinter had easily dodged the large mutant dog and when Bradford went to grab him again, Splinter leapt up, spun around, and kicked him in his large muzzle. Bradford fell back and landed on the ground.

Instantly, Xever was the next one to charge at him and tried to kick him with his metal feet. Splinter held his hands up in defense and easily dodged once again. Xever hissed and went to hit him again, but Splinter shifted aside as Xever landed back on the ground. Growling was heard behind him and this time, Splinter leapt back at the last second as Xever's foot landed right between Bradford's legs instead of Splinter's face. Then, Splinter dodged when Xever leapt at him again and instead grabbed the fish's tail. Xever hissed, as he reared and aimed to bite Splinter, who only made the mutant fish bite his own tail instead. Splinter then smacked the mutant fish in his chest and he flew back and landed against the wall, sliding down and falling into the water on either side of the walkway.

Splinter took a look behind him to see Bradford marching away as he slammed the doors shut. At the sound of a grunt, he turned and spotted both April and Kaz sitting on the low steps at the other end of the walkway with their hands chained to the floor.

Quickly and quietly, he makes his way towards them. "April, Kaz, it is me," he whispered. "Do not make a sound, I will have you out in a moment."

Splinter reached for the chains, only for his hands to go through them. He looks up to see the hologram of April and Kaz vanishes to reveal another mouser behind the steps. A deep, cold laughter echos throughout the room as Splinter realizes that he's been tricked.

"Hamato Yoshi... I am so glad you accepted my... invitation."

Fire broke out throughout the hall, illuminating it in an almost unnatural glow. He whipped around, trying to find where Shredder was hiding.

"What have you done with April and Kaz?" He demanded angrily.

"Now that you are here, Miss O'Neil and Mr Smith are no longer any use to me," Shredder said. "I gave them to my new friends. The kranng."

Splinter felt his body tensed. "You fool! Do you have any idea what you've done!?"

The giant mutant rat felt something powerful hit him in the back that knocked him down, causing him to fall onto his chest but quickly pulled himself up at the sound of shifting metal from in front of him.

"Yes," Shredder said. "I took your family away, and now I can put an end to you! Once, and for all..."

Splinter frowned before removing the hood of his robe to show himself as he turned to face Shredder. Neither one hadn't seen each other since fifteen years ago alongside their other two best friends and brothers, Flash Sentry and Quill Sentry.

"What? A rat!?" Shredder said with a laugh. "I see you as hideous as those turtles that surround you! Oh, how fitting, you're a rat who has been caught in my trap."

"Look closely at my face, Shredder," Splinter said lowly. "For it is the last thing you will ever see!"

Shredder couldn't help but smirk beneath his helmet. "I am not the only one here from our shared past, Hamato Yoshi."

From behind Shredder, Splinter watches as Jake steps out from the shadows, but the only difference is that the eighteen-year-old is looking at someone with narrowed eyesโ€”as if he was controlling that somebody with his magic as his hands were glowing in a slight green aura. When the second person steps out, Splinter feels his eyes widened at the familiar person.

"Flash Sentry?"

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

AFTER MANAGING TO sneak through the vents, the seven teens emerged from the main floor on the top floor that was filled with kranng and their tech. They all hid in the shadows of the ceiling, hanging from several ropes to slide in unnoticed. A slow, loud rumble made them look up to see the huge giant rock creature that had been there last time they were at TCRI.

"I forgot about him." Raphael muttered.

"Me too." Eclipse added.

"Don't worry, we'll be long gone before that rock monster even knows we're here." Donatello reassured.

Leonardo pulls out the disintegrator from where it was hanging on his belt. He powered it up and aimed at the portal. "Okay, guys," he breathed. "This all ends in 3...2...1."

The ball of energy shot for the portal, hits it, but does completely nothing to the portal expect for bouncing off of it and evaporating into thin air. The portal sparked, revealing some kind of shield around it before it died down again.

"What!? There's a force field!?" Leonardo snapped before he whipped around at Donatello. "Why didn't you tell me!?"

"Well, because I wanted us to fail," Donatello said sarcastically before yelling. "OBVIOUSLY I DIDN'T KNOW!"

"Would you two mind paying attention?" Boy Danger snapped at the two. "Cause we're about to have company."

Immediately, the kranng had turned towards them and began firing. "Anyone got a plan B?" Raphael asked.

A low rumble sound came from behind and the giant rock creature stood there with his fist raised. The seven teens screamed in shock and leaped away from the oncoming fist. As they landed on the ground, the seven of them drew their weapons and began to take out the alien robots while also dodging the giant rock creature.

"Donnie, how's that plan B coming?" Leonardo called.

"I'm thinking!" Donatello snapped.

"Think faster!" Leonardo shouted, firing the gun at the rock monster again, ripping his arm off.

"I can probably hack into the kranng system if you give me enough time!"

"Great! Do that!"

Donatello ran off and leapt to an upper level where he began to hook his t-phone into the small panel to hack into while the others kept the alien robots and the giant rock creature away from him.

"Come on, come on!" Leonardo dodged the giant as he tried to smash him, powering the gun for another hit. Once it powered up, the gun shot out a ball of energy that blasted off the giant's other arm. "This thing's almost out of juice!"

"And guys, look!" Captain Violet said, pointing over at the portal. "The portal!"

The portal was slowly starting to power up, ready for something that was on the other side to come through.

"Whatever's coming through the portal's gonna be here soon." Boy Danger said.

"When's that force field coming down, Donnie?" Raphael asked.

"I'm working on it!"

"Try to work a little faster!" Eclipse said seriously.

Boy Danger heard loud stomping and kicking and turned to see the giant rock creature coming his way as he leaped out of the way in time to avoid getting stomped on. Leonardo took his chance, leaping up into the air and aiming at the monster's chest, and pulled the trigger. He leapt back and landed beside Michelangelo and Boy Danger as bits of rocks fell to the ground. The monster stirred for a bit before its body parts started scooting back into its place again.

"I forgot he could do that." Michelangelo said.

"Guys, I think I've got it!" Donatello called.

A loud, whirring noise was heard and the portal sounded like it was shutting down. "Yes!" Donatello shouted. "All hail me!" No sooner had the words left his mouth was there a bright flash of light from the portal. "Uh-oh." He muttered. "Guys?"

No one said anything as they all just stared at the portal in shocked. A bright, glowing pink light had shot out to the sky and something big was coming through to it.

"Holy giant floating shippy-ship," Michelangelo said. The kranng droids advanced on the seven teens at once and started shooting. "Leo!" He shouted. "Do the zippy-zappy thing now!"

Leonardo gripped the gun tight. "Come on, baby, come on, baby. Come on, baby!" The gun then made a sound as if it powered up. "Yes! Say goodnight, kranng!"

Leonardo sprang to his feet and aimed the gun at the alien droids, only for the gun to powered down before he could pull the trigger.

The seven teens sat there, their mouths opened.

"What the heck happened!?" Eclipse yelled.

"I think the batteries died!" Leonardo said.

"And we'll be joining them, unless someone thinks of something!" Raphael said.

"What's plan C, guys?" Captain Violet asked their two leaders.

Neither Leonardo or Boy Danger said anything as the two frantically looked around the room. "Donnie, what would happen if I ruptured the power cell?" Leonardo asked.

"The whole place would go up," Donatello said. "With us in it!"

Leonardo grew determined as he drew one of his swords. "Go!" He said sharply.

"Whoa, Leo!" Donatello stopped him. "You're not thinking about what I think you're thinking?" His only answer was to turn and bolt in the opposite direction, sword in hand. "He's thinking it!"

"Come on, we'll meet him outside!" Boy Danger said.

As they all managed to escape TCRI with their metal wings before the building blew up, Leonardo was spotted falling down towards the ground and with nothing to prepare him the ground, all he could do was wait to hit it.

"Gotcha!" Boy Danger said, grabbing Leonardo's shoulders and pulling him up before he could hit the ground.

"Ha, in your face, gravity!" Raphael called.

Leonardo gave out a relieved sigh. "Thanks, Danger."

"Anytime, bro."

"Ha! I can't believe it!" Donatello cried. "We saved the world!"

"Yeah!" Michelangelo yelled happily. "That wasn't so hard, was it?"

None of them could answer as a loud rumble made them look up to see the ginormous kranng ship soaring right overhead. They all yelped, swerving to get out of the way and floated up into the air, staring at the ship.

Michelangelo frowned. "I gotta stop saying stuff like that."

"What the heck is that thing!?" Raphael yelled.

"It's the end of the world!" Leonardo responded.

"Actually," Donatello cut in. "It's just the end of humanity's reign as the planet's dominant life form. You know, like when the dinosaursโ€”"

"Not helping!" Boy Danger yelled.

"Really, now!?" Eclipse asked towards her brother. "You're gonna do this now!?"

"Well, excuse me!" Donatello snapped. "It's how I deal with stress!"

"Well, maybe it doesn't have weapons," Captain Violet said hopefully. "Does it look like it has weapons?"

Several giant pink lasers shot past them. "Forget I said anything." Captain Violet said.

Immediately, the weapons fired and constantly, the seven teens had to dodge and duck to avoid getting hit. Michelangelo went out of control and slammed right into Donatello.

"Mikey! Donnie!" Leonardo called out.

The two went spinning, crashing onto a nearby roof of a nearby building. Eclipse, Captain Violet, and Raphael went after them while dodging the lasers, landing gracefully on the rooftop.

Boy Danger tried to swerve through the lasers, but lost control and it sent him and Leonardo tumbling out of the sky and toward an alley. Leonardo lost his hold on the handle of Boy Danger's wings, and he was thrown off, landing on a filthy mattress while Boy Danger hit the alley wall and slid into a dumpster.

"Are you guys alright?" Eclipse asked, as she and the others slid down the fire escape.

"Been better." Boy Danger said with a groan of pain, climbing out from the dumpster.

A huge shadow then loomed over them and the seven of them looked up to see the Technodrome hovering them.

"What do we do now?" Captain Violet asked.

"We need to talk to Sensei," Leonardo replied. "Come on."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"SENSEI?"

"APRIL?"

"KAZ? Max?"

"Spike!?" Raphael looked around the living room for his pet. There was movement from some of the pillows in the pit, and Spike lifted his little head while Max stood up onto his paws, stretching out his paws after the nap he took. Raphael immediately ran and picked up the little turtle, placing him on his shoulders. "Oh, don't scare me like that, buddy." He sighed, smiling down at his pet.

Max then took off running for Briana and once he reached her, he leapt into her arms as she caught him. "Hey, boy." She said with a smile, holding him in her arms as he licked her face.

"Where is everyone?" Henry asked.

As they all split up and began to look around the lair, it wasn't long before they heard Michelangelo yell out from the dojo. "Whoa, dude, chill!" Immediately, the remaining of the others ran towards the dojo to find Kirby trying to attack him with a staff. They rushed forward and managed to grab onto Kirby, pinning him to the ground after snatching the staff out from his hands.

"What the heck is going on?" Eclipse asked.

"Guys, check this out!" Donatello said, revealing a small, metal object attached to the back of his neck.

It took Donatello about an hour to get the object off of Kirby and once he did, Kirby had gone back to acting like himself again.

"So, what is it?" Leonardo asked.

"I think it's a mind control device." Donatello answered.

"Really?" Raphael asked wickedly and before anyone could stop him, he snatched the device from his brother and pulled Michelangelo forward by the arm. "Maybe it'll work on Mikey."

"No, stop it! Stop it!" Michelangelo yelled.

"Raph." Both Leonardo and Henry said in unison, sternly.

Raphael then released Michelangelo and a low groan came from behind as they all turned towards Kirby.

"Mr. O'Neil?" Donatello spoke as they all went over to the tired man. "Are you okay?"

Kirby rubbed his forehead. "I... I've done something terrible."

Donatello placed a hand on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault, Mr. O'Neil."

Kirby sighed. "It appears that kranng have formed an alliance with your enemy, the Shredder. That's not all. I fear Shredder has handed April and Kaz over to the kranng."

"Shredder kidnapped April and Kaz?" Donatello said.

"Sensei must've gone after them." Eclipse said.

"So, where are they now?" Briana asked.

"They're taking April to the Technodrome," Kirby said.

"The what?" Raphael asked before a voice came from behind them and it was the tv.

"Carlos Chang O'Brien Gambe here. Pandemonium in the streets as a... Techno-terror-drome... hovers over downtown."

"Dudes, dudettes," Michelangelo said. "This is getting freakier by the minute."

"We just escaped that freaky sphere!" Raphael snapped. "Now we gotta break into it!?"

"In a manner of hours," Kirby said. "The world we once knew will be gone. The kranng want April to help with their conquest for Earth."

"So, if they took April to the Technodrome, where did they take Kaz?" Briana asked.

"While I was still with the kranng as their prisoner, I heard them talking about a human ally of theirs." Kirby responded.

"Human ally?" Henry asked.

Kirby nodded. "His name's Ethan Smith, I only seen him one time before Donatello rescued me from my cell. He's the one that most likely has Kaz."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

KAZ COULDN'T HELP but groan as he woke up, his dark brown eyes opening slowly. As he forced himself to sit up, memories of what happened flashed across his head; following Kirby only to get captured by Karai and Cameron, being brought to Shredder and handed over to man that he knows he recognizes from somewhereโ€”that was all he remember before everything went black. He looked around the area and noticed that he was inside a lab that had serums, notes, books, and experiments all over the room.

Kaz walked over to a nearby desk and noticed that the computer was on, his eyes landed on the name in the middle of the screen.

SMITH INCORPORATES

Kaz frowned, realizing where he was. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me."

"You're awoke." A familiar voice said from behind. Kaz groaned in annoyance as he turned around, coming face-to-face with the man he's loathed since he was six-years-old.

"Great, it's you," Kaz said as he rolled his eyes. "Dad."

"Oh, come on," Ethan said as he began to walk closer. "Is that anyway to greet your old man?"

Kaz scoffed at his words. "Oh, I'm sorry, but how did you expect me to react? I mean, you walked out on mom after she found out that she was pregnant with Kyle and that you've been cheating on her for years. And you literally just kidnapped me, cause you probably know that I want nothing to do with you."

Ethan shook his head as he went over to his computer. "You always were a mama's boy."

Kaz turned around and crossed his arms over his chest. "What do you want? Why am I here?"

"What makes you think I want something?" Ethan asked, turning around to face his son. "Can't I just want to see my son?"

Kaz couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, please. Everything you do is for one person and for one person only, and that's yourself."

"Maybe," Ethan said as he picked up a small canister that held a orangish-reddish serum inside before setting it back down on his desk. "How are your powers going?"

Kaz froze, slowly turning back around to face him. "How did you...?"

This time, it was Ethan's turn to scoff. "Oh, don't be so surprised, Kazimerasโ€”"

"It's Kaz." He corrected angrily. "Not Kazimeras, just Kaz."

"Either way, don't tell me that you believed your mother's lie that you were born with those powers," Ethan said with a smirk. "Please, I give you your powers."

"You?" Kaz asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Why, yes," Ethan said as he gestured to the small canister that held the serum on his desk. "I created the Phoenix serum that gave you your powers."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

SMITH INCORPORATES IS what the sign that was plastered across the building read while the seven teens were standing on the rooftop, waiting for Donatello to get the window open for them to sneak in.

"You're sure this is the right place, Donnie?" Leonardo asked.

"Definitely," Donatello answered. "Ethan Smith owns this building and when I tried to hack into his security system, his cameras were off. He doesn't want anyone to see what's going on in here."

Once he got the window open, they all quietly snuck in as they stuck to the ceiling beams for cover and to keep themselves hidden in the shadows. Spotting a light coming from one of the rooms, Leonardo motioned to the others to follow as they quietly followed his lead, being sure not to make a sound or leave their cover. Making their way into the same room as Ethan and Kaz, their voices grew louder the closer they got.

They watch as Ethan starts making his way towards his desk, warily of his actions. "You know, I would said that I'm surprised by this, but honestly?" Ethan said with a smirk. "I'm really not."

And with that, Ethan pressed a button that caused the upper ceiling lights to turn on, revealing the seven teens as they froze.

"Did you really think that I wasn't expecting for you to try to save my son?" Ethan questioned.

"Uh... maybe?" Michelangelo asked. They all hopped down to the ground, their hands on their weapons in case of a fight.

"Wait, did you said son?" Raphael asked.

Ethan smirked, resting a hand on Kaz's shoulder. "Oh, you didn't tell your friends about me, Kazimeras? I'm hurt."

Kaz shoved his hand off of his shoulder and glared at him, the hatred was clear in his eyes that was directed towards his father.

"Well, as much as I'd like to get my son's friends, I'm actually quite busy right now." Ethan said, and with a snap of his fingers, Foot Bots jumped out and surrounded the seven teens.

While the seven teens drew their weapons and were easily taking out his Foot Bots, Kaz continued to glare up at his father. "You're helping Shredder?"

"He's a very powerful man, Kazimeras," Ethan said. "One that knows exactly what an army of inhuman soldiers is capable of."

Kaz backed up and pulled his arm away when Ethan tried to grab him. "You're both crazy," he said. "And I want nothing to do with you."

Ethan glared at him. "Fair warning, don't pick the hard way."

"Too late."

And with that, Kaz flipped one of his father's table and used it to push against his father, causing Ethan to stumble backwards while it gave Kaz the chance to get away from him. Ethan glared as he shoved the table away from him, pushing himself onto his feet as he began to run after his son.

"Kazimeras!" He yelled.

With the Foot Bots defeated, Ethan didn't get to reach his son because the seven teens had jumped in his path that made him come to a halt.

"I wouldn't think about it if I were you." Boy Danger said, the seven of them had their weapons at the ready in case Ethan tried anything.

Ethan glared at them. "You won't get ready with this."

Eclipse smirked. "I think we just did."

"Mikey, now!" Leonardo said.

"Booyakasha!" Michelangelo called out as he threw a smoke bomb.

Ethan coughed at the purple smoke and once the purple smoke was gone, so were the seven teens and his son. He clenched his fists and slammed his left hand onto a nearby table in anger.

"Where's that city boy loser?" A voice cuts in, reaching his ears.

"Cameron," another voice warns.

Ethan turns around to find Soren and Cameron entering his lab, only to find the destroyed Foot Bots around the area and no sign of his son.

"I told you those freaks were going to come for him, Ethan," Soren said. "Foot Bots weren't going to be enough."

"Shut up, Chandler," Ethan said with a glare. "If Shredder wants his inhuman army then, I need Subject Phoenix."

"Can't you just make another one if you know it worked on that city boy loser?" Cameron asked, rolling his eyes.

"My serum hadn't work on my other experiments like it did on him," Ethan informed. "And I need Kazimeras to find out why."

"FLASH SENTRY..." THE mutant rat could only stand in shock at who stood there. He easily recognize the familiar blue hair from his old friend and he couldn't help but notice that his eyes were glowing green instead of their natural blue color. He moves his eyes back to the eighteen-year-old boy and he could see the same features in him that resemble his other old friend, Quill Sentry, as the boy still had the same sickly, pale skin tone that he had back when he had first met him when the boy was just a baby.

"Hamato Yoshi." Flash Sentry said in an almost mechanically tone that Kirby had as well.

Splinter then glared at the Shredder, a rage of anger ran through his body. "Oroku Saki... you were once my friend, I thought of you as my brother. There was a time where I would have trusted you with my very life, and I know that Flash and Quill felt the same way about us. But, 15 years ago, I was a different man. I had everything I could wantโ€”a loving wife and a beautiful daughter. And then, you, my loyal friend... jealousy consumed you. You sought that which was mine. You took everything that I loved. Everything! And still, you hunt me down! So, I fight you now... to end this!"

And with that, the two former friends and brothers began to fight against the other. Each one delivering powerful punches and kicks as the two glared at each other with so much anger and hatred. As Shredder leapt to higher ground, Splinter went to do the same but was blocked by Flash Sentry as the two landed back on the ground. The two stared at each other for a few seconds before they began fighting, throwing punches and kicksโ€”however, the ones Flash Sentry were throwing at him were designed to do one thing and one thing: cripple.

"Flash!" Splinter shouted, desperately trying to get through to one of his best friends that he consider as a brother. "Do not do this!"

"You started this when you took my daughter, Yoshi," Flash Sentry said, his tone sounding soulless as if his words weren't really his. "Where is she?"

"She's safe!" Splinter said, quickly avoiding one of his deadly blows. "I did what you asked me to do, brother! I kept her safe and I will continue to do so!"

"No," the blue haired man said, blocking one of Splinter's kicks. "You stole her from me."

Jake kept his eyes on the fightโ€”more specifically, his uncle as the green aura that glowed around his fists was slowly starting to fade. He gritted his teeth together as he did his best to ignore the wave of pain he could feel starting to come from the inside of him and a wet liquid was slowly starting to drip out from his nose.

'No, no! Not now! I can't lose my control!' Jake thought secretly to himself, forcing himself to keep going with the spell that would only do more damage to the inside of his body.

"That's not true, brother! You and Twilight sent her to me!" Splinter said desperately, shifting to the side to avoid the deadly kick that would've made him spill his guts.

At the mention of that name, Flash Sentry froze as the green glow in his eyes suddenly started to flicker. "T-t-Twilight?" He questioned, his tone sounding somewhat normal.

'NO! I'm losing control!' Jake thought secretly to himself. The more he pushed himself, blood continued to drip from his nose and Jake gave a sharp hiss of pain as his body tensed.

Unable to take the pain anymore, Jake gave a sharp breath before collapsing onto the ground. The green aura around his hands disappeared while his uncle's eyes had gone back to their natural eye color, the spell no longer in effect of the blue haired man.

Flash Sentry's eyes were squeezed shut as he grabbed onto his head, rubbing his forehead. "Flash?" Splinter asked cautiously.

The man himself opened his eyes and found his old friendโ€”that just happened to be a mutant rat standing in front of him. "Yoshi." He answered.

The sound of shifting metal interrupted the reunion between the two as they looked over and spotted Shredder charging at them. Splinter raised his staff and blocked the attack, pushing the man back. Shredder lunged again, but this time, Flash Sentry aimed his own sword at the man and Shredder blocked. Taking the chance, Splinter drove his staff forward, but Shredder blocked it with his blades, slicing the top of the staff. Of course, Shredder didn't realize that the top of the staff had a hidden holster for a katana hidden within the staff. The three grown men fought with their respective weapons, each one dodging the other's attacks.

"Why must you persist in this insanity?" Splinter demanded.

"You took Tang Shen from me!"

Flash Sentry couldn't help but roll his eyes at that respond, his memories slowly resurfacing now that the spell was gone. "You're still going on with that, Saki? Shen wasn't yours!"

"You never had anything but your hatred!" Splinter yelled. "And if you defeat us, you will have nothing!"

To both of their surprise, Shredder started laughing as he threw his head back with laughterโ€”only his laughter sounded cold and just pure evil.

"That is where you are wrong!" Shredder yelled. "You took something from me, so I took something from youโ€”your daughter!"

Splinter felt his entire body go numb at those words. There was no way... No, it couldn't be! Miwa had died in the fire alongside Tang Shen! But... unlike Tang Shen's body who was in Splinter's arms, they had never found Miwa's body, which meant that... no, it couldn't be true.

"No... it can't be."

EVERYTHING WAS IN chaos. There were so many people running and screaming, children crying for their parents; everything and everyone was in a wound state of panic. The Technodrome was even dispersed some kind of pods, which were going around the city and scooping people up. After escaping from Smith Incorporates, the now eight teens were crouched behind a few abandoned cars and on the other side was a few kranng droids and a podโ€”a pod that they needed to sneak into the Technodrome in order to save April.

"We gotta get in one of those pods," Leonardo whispered. "But we need a diversion."

"I could try to override their security codes byโ€”"

Donatello's words were cut off by the sound of grunts and banging metal. They whipped around and found Raphael and Eclipse standing on top of the pod with the kranng droids destroyed. The two were smirking at the others, spinning the head of their respective weapon.

"Or, that might work," Leonardo said. "Let's go!"

As they all climbed into the pod and closed it, the pod hovered and floated away into the sky. Then, the pod approached the Technodrome as a small door opened and the pod entered through it.

"Okay, this is it," Boy Danger said, as they all grabbed the edge of the shield. "On three. One, two, three."

Together, they opened the shield and went to jump out, but the second they stood, their bodies lifted into the air as they all yelped in surprise.

"Uh, what's going on?" Kaz asked.

"I think the kranng forgot to pay their gravity bill!" Michelangelo said.

"It appears the kranng have generated anti-gravitons!" Donatello said.

"Is there anyway for you to generate anti-anti-gravitons?" Leonardo asked.

"You mean gravitons?"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Guys, I'm gonna throw up," Michelangelo warned. "Or down. Or maybe sideways. But one thing's for sure, I'm majority gonna throw!"

"Mikey, don't you dare!" Eclipse said firmly. "If you throw up and it goes everywhere, we're gonna have serious problems!"

Another pod from behind Michelangelo knocked into him, shoving him towards the others.

"We still have a job to do," Leonardo said determinedly. "So, let's go!"

As they headed on their way to try to find where the kranng were keeping April, Michelangelo called out. "This is awesome! The kranng should turn this into a carnival ride!"

"Uh, I think they're more interested in using it to destroy the earth, Mikey." Captain Violet said.

Michelangelo shrugged. "It could do both."

"Didn't he feel like throwing up earlier?" Kaz questioned.

Eclipse shrugged. "I don't know anymore."

Boy Danger felt his ears pricked up at a loud, piercing scream.

"It's April!" Donatello cried.

"Can you say that a little louder?" Raphael snapped, tone hushed. "I don't think the entire Technodrome heard you." As soon as those words left his mouth, fifty or possibly more floating kranng aliens appeared at the entrance the moment Raphael had turned around. "Never mind, they did."

Without needing to be told, they all drew their weapons and charged at the kranng. Though, they couldn't help but have a blast fighting in zero gravity as each one of them were leaping off the walls to get closer to the aliens to knock them down. The last one stood floating in the air before Leonardo leapt and crushed it to the ground.

Boy Danger's ears pricked up again at the loud, distant scream of April O'Neil again. Raphael took one of his sais and pried open the metal slot, the screaming sounded a lot more louder now as the eight teens went through the open slot and towards the sound.

THE SHREDDER ONLY continued to laugh. "Do not look so glum, Hamato Yoshi," he said. "After all, you took in Flash's and Twilight's daughter, didn't you? Princess Briana?"

Flash Sentry glared at the man in front of him and clenched his fists, not liking the sound of his daughter's name in his former friend and brother's mouth. "Leave my daughter's name out of your mouth, Saki."

Shredder glared at the man with a scoff. "You and Twilight sent her to Hamato Yoshi, who doesn't even value her for what she's truly capable of!" He glared at the man and mutant rat that stood in front of him. "She has all that power and you haven't even told her what she can doโ€”what she's destined to become. Imagine having the prophesied last Destroyer by your side and what you could do with her."

"She's a child, Saki!" Splinter snapped, glaring at the man as he didn't like what he was saying about Briana. "She's not a weapon!"

"But that's exactly what she is with all that power!" Shredder shouted. "The power to destroy the world itself and make others fear her. Don't worry, once I bring you both to your end, and after I bring those turtles and that human boy of yours to their end as well, I will take Princess Briana just as I took your daughter all those years ago." He threw his arms out, the blades of his gauntlets shooting out.

"Over my dead body am I gonna let you go after my daughter!" Flash Sentry shouted, tightly holding the hilt of his sword.

Shredder lunged at the two again, and their old fight began once again. Shredder's punch hit them in the chest, pushing them back. Splinter took a defensive stance, blocking the next few hits. He aimed and missed a kick for Shredder's feet while Flash Sentry missed the chance to punch his chest. Shredder hit Splinter's face repeatedly before knocking him backward and then, delivering a punch to Flash Sentry's stomach that knocked the air out of him as the blue haired man fell onto the ground, desperately trying to fill his lungs with air again. Splinter caught a glimpse of a fist before it connected with his nose, knocking him off his feet again and he groaned, pushing himself onto his knees.

"It's over, Hamato Yoshi," Shredder growled. "Soon, you will be no more and your own daughter will go through her life cursing your name. And by the time I'm finished with Princess Briana, she won't even remember you or those turtles and that human boy she cares so deeply about."

Splinter felt a surge of rage wash over him at those threats towards his children. He snap in anger and dodged Shredder's blade, and he dodged it again when Shredder attempted lunge at him again, but this time, he caught it with his bare teeth as he snapped the blade clean off. Then, he flipped over him and landed a powerful kick to the chest, knocking him off his feet. Splinter landed on his feet and lunged againโ€”Flash Sentry joining in as the two deliver hard attacks that even knocked Shredder's helmet off of his face to reveal his scarred, burnt, unrecognizable, and ugly face.

Splinter wasted no time in picking up his sword and sprinted forward, ready to do what he should've done back then.

"No!"

A blade blocked his path as the two blades held in place. Splinter, however, could only stare at the face that belonged to Karai and he could see the featuresโ€”and the amber yellow eyes she got from her mother.

Wait...

"Miwa...?"

Karai pulled her blade back and swung it forward. It struck Splinter's shoulder, but only just. He moved aside, holding onto his shoulder while Karai raced over to Shredder.

"Father!" She cried.

Splinter watched with a broken heart as Karai was helping Shredder sit down gently.

"Karai..." Shredder groaned, pointing a finger at Splinter. "That rat is... Hamato Yoshi."

"Yoshi," Flash Sentry whispered to him. "We should go."

But Splinter stared at them. "Miwa..."

"My name is Karai!" She snapped. "Father told me what you did to my mother, and now I'm going to return the favor!"

Karai drew her sword and charged again.

"No!" Splinter cried. He turned and sprinted away, both he and Flash Sentry leaping up to the upper level by the open window.

Splinter wouldn't fight his daughter, even if she thought he was the enemy.

"Why won't you fight!?" Karai yelled. "Coward!"

Both Splinter and Flash Sentry turned and ran out through the window. 'Miwa...' Splinter could only think secretly to himself.

SILENCE FILLED THE air within the dojo back underneath the sewers inside the lair. Both of them had made it back to the lair safety and without being followed. Flash Sentry was staring at the photos that Splinter had as his blue eyes landed on one photo that caught his attention: a little eight-year-old girl with purple hair and blue sapphire eyes had the biggest smile on her face as she was surrounded by five mutant turtles and a younger Henry Hart, who were at the ages of nine-years-old.

The more he stared at the photo, he couldn't help but smile lightly, feeling relieved and glad that she had always been safe and happy yet the smile faded as the photo was also a reminder of the one thing that he nor his wife got to do with Briana, their firstborn child.

Watch her grow up.

Flash Sentry knew that sending her to Splinter on the day of her birth meant that he and Twilight would miss everything with herโ€”everything that they had wanted to do with her, but at the same time, he knew that there was no other way to keep her safe if they hadn't sent her away.

Sending Briana away to Splinter was the best chance they could give her, even if it hurts them in the progress.

"She's a lot like you, you know."

Flash Sentry looks over to see Splinter joining him before he lets his eyes move back to the photo. "I think she's looks like Twilight more."

"Perhaps, but she has your personality, believe it or not." Splinter said.

Flash Sentry couldn't help but frown lightly as he looked away from the photos, moving away a little. "I hope not," he said seriously. "She doesn't need my trust issues or anything from me."

"She is a little naive, too trusting of others, but," Splinter said, turning to face him. "She does share the same dream as you, and other parts of your personality as well."

Although he tried not to, Flash Sentry couldn't help but smile just a little at the thought of his daughter. How he wished he could meet her in person, but it was too dangerousโ€”sometimes he couldn't help but pin the blame onto that cursed prophecy for ruining what he and Twilight had wanted for their daughterโ€”their firstborn child. But, as it seems, fate just had to go its way.

"Flash, how did you end up with Saki?" Splinter questioned. "I thought you were in the Crystal Empire this whole time with Quill and Twilight."

Flash Sentry gave a small sigh as he turned to face him. "You'd think after sending Briana away to you, Saki would've given up," he said with a bitter chuckle. "He didn't. He'd keep attacking the Crystal Empire with his Foot Clan since then, and well, this time, it was a few years after we had sent to Briana away..."

The entire Crystal Empire was in chaos with the Foot Clan attacking once again. Not only were the guards were protecting the citizens but were also doing their best to fight back the Foot Clan, Soren, and Jake himself.

"Please tell me you two found a solution." Quill said, rushing into their office where his younger brother and sister-in-law were looking through one of Twilight's mother's spell book.

"Just one," Twilight Sparkle said with a frown. "It'll push Saki, Soren, Jake, and the rest of the Foot Clan out from the kingdom but the fog won't let anyone in or out. The Crystal Empire will fade and everyone will think we're a myth."

"If that's ourโ€”"

"Mommy? Daddy?"

The three adults looked over to see a three-year-old girl with blue hair and a purple streak in it along with violet eyes that were shielded by her black glasses. She was wearing her light pink pajamas as she looked up at her parents with a fearfully expression on her face.

"What's going on? I'm scared." The little girl said.

"Come here, Diana," Flash Sentry said gently as he went over to her. He bent down and picked her up, holding her in his arms as he brought her over. "Everything's gonna be alright, okay? Daddy's got you."

Diana nodded a little and held onto her father, burying her face into his shirt. Flash Sentry shared a look with his wife, knowing that they were running out of time.

"No," Twilight Sparkle told him softly. "I-I can't do the spell, Flash. How would..." she lets herself trail off from her sentence with a frown.

"I know, but we have to do something," Flash Sentry told her gently. "They're not gonna leave us alone unless we tell them where she is."

"If I do this spell, how is Briana going to find us on her fifteenth birthday?" Twilight Sparkle asked. "She'll think it'll a myth, she won't believe it."

"We're just gonna have to hope she does, Twilight," Flash Sentry reminded her. "She'll figure it out. But for right now, we have to do something to protect the kingdom. To protect Diana."

Twilight looked over at her youngest daughter and glanced down at the spell book, staring at the page of the spell that she didn't want to do but knew there was no chance.

"Okay," she whispered. "I'll do it."

Flash Sentry nodded and bent down a little, carefully setting Diana on the ground. "I'll be back, okay? Stay here with your mother, everything's gonna be alright."

Diana nodded softly. "Okay, daddy."

Flash Sentry smiled softly and pressed a fatherly kiss against her forehead before he stood up, turning towards his wife. "Quill and I can buy you time and keep the Foot Bots back." He told her.

"Stay safe, okay?" Twilight Sparkle told him gently yet seriously. "We both know Saki isn't the same person we knew."

Flash Sentry nodded as the couple shared a quick kiss before the two brothers left the office, each one with their respective sword out while Twilight turned back to the spell, taking a deep breath for what she was about to do.

"Quill and I were able to keep the Foot Bots back," Flash Sentry continued to explain. "But while we were doing that, I saw Saki coming up behind Quill while he was dealing with a few Foot Bots. My brother hadn't noticed yet so I pushed him out of the way and well," he lifted his shirt a little to show a scar on his left side. "That's how I got that," he pulled his shirt back down. "After that, everything kinda happened so fast. I guess while I was done, either Saki or Jake must've grabbed me while Twilight did the spell, and well, the spell worked since it cast out Saki, Jake, Soren, and the Foot Clan. I just got casted out with them since they managed to grab me."

Splinter nodded slowly, letting those words sink in. "I'm sorry that you got separated from your family, Flash," he said. "If I had known that he was attacking you and Twilight, I would've tried to help."

"Don't worry, Yoshi," Flash Sentry reassured. "You were busy here with your children and making sure that they were safe. Twilight and I can't blame you for that, not when we asked you to take Briana in."

Splinter gave him a small smile. "Are you sure you don't want to meet her? We can keep who you really are from Briana for now."

"As much as I'd like that, we both know I can't," Flash Sentry said, a small sigh leaving his lips. "Doing that will just put Briana in more danger and all Twilight and I want is for her to be safe."

"Is that what you both really want?"

Flash Sentry remained silent for a while. "What we both want can't happen till her fifteenth birthday. But if I may, can I ask you something? About Briana?"

Splinter nodded. "Of course."

"I know she's safe with you but, is she... is she happy?"

Splinter gave him a reassuring smile. "She is, she's very spoiled by my sons and daughter. I'd even said that she's the one who holds them together."

Flash Sentry smiled softly. "I bet." He then gave his old friend a sad smile. "I'm sorry about Miwa, maybe one day she'll find out the truth."

"Maybe."

"APRIL O'NEIL, YOUR mind belongs to kranng! Soon, your world will be ours! Let the planetary mutation... begin! Witness the end of your world!"

"Not if we can help it!" Leonardo called.

The creature blinked and then turned its head towards them. "The turtles!?" It screeched. "Kranng will not be stopped by pathetic mutants!"

"At least we're not stupid aliens!" Michelangelo responded.

"Raph, now!" Boy Danger said.

Immediately, Raphael lunged forward and aimed a powerful kick right between the kranng's eyes. As the alien screeched, the others climbed down the cables and watched as Donatello managed to get the metal table downโ€”the arms holding April released and he removed the device from her head. She fell forward, but he caught her in his arms.

April lifted her head, grinning softly as she looked up at him. "You're my hero..." she said.

Donatello's face went pink as he giggled happily at her.

"Hey, Chuckles," Raphael said, earning a glare from his brother. "We gotta get out of here."

It took 10 minutes for them to find an exit. Making it back to the chambers where the escape pods were. They all kept running towards the end of the hallway where the pods were.

"Leo, Danger, I have a question." Michelangelo yelled.

"Can it wait?"

"Not really. Did we beat that big kranng thingy?"

"Yes, Mikey, we did."

"Okay. Then, why is it following us!?"

"What?"

They all stopped in their tracks instantly and turned to find the giant kranng monsterย  was indeed following after them. Attached to the monster was a large metal suit that made it look way bigger than it was before. It screeched, bolting towards them while they turned and bolted again.

"Everybody, there's one last escape pod up ahead!" Donatello yelled.

And indeed was he right, because up ahead was only one pod left. Boy Danger turned to look back only to see the giant kranng's foot stomped down, knocking the orange masked mutant turtle into one of the chambers. He screamed and Boy Danger felt something inside of him growled at the giant kranng, not realizing that his eyes started glowing a flash of yellow.

"Protect." A voice told him from inside his head.

Boy Danger reached into his belt and took out one of his twin swords before bolting towards them. The kranng leaned forward to look into the chamber while the gun on top of his head powered up.

"Get away from my brother!" Boy Danger snarled. He leapt up, raising his twin sword and slicing the gun off the kranng's head. He landed and reached into the chamber towards Michelangelo, who was only a few feet down, as the orange masked mutant turtle had his hands and feet against the wall to stop himself from falling.

"Mikey! Up here!" Boy Danger called.

He grabbed one of his nunchucks and swung one end up. Boy Danger caught it, using it to pull him up. "You alright?" Boy Danger questioned.

Michelangelo nodded before noticing that his eyes were glowing yellow. "Uh, bro, your eyes."

"What about them?"

"They're glowing yellow."

"What?" Boy Danger questioned softly before shaking his head. "It doesn't matter right now. Let's get out of here."

The two turned and took off running for the escape pod. Michelangelo kept going while Boy Danger came to a halt, stopping beside Leonardo while everyone else was waiting inside the escape pod.

"There's nowhere for you to run, mutants!" Kranng yelled.

Leonardo, Boy Danger, and Michelangelo ignored him. Michelangelo jumped into the pod where the others were while Leonardo and Boy Danger remained in their spot.

"Leo! Danger!" Eclipse yelled.

"All of you will die here!" The kranng yelled.

Splinter's words came rushing through Leonardo's and Boy Danger's heads as the memory resurfaced. "With the world at stake, the only thing of importance is that you complete your mission. No matter what you have to sacrifice... or who."

"Leo," Boy Danger said towards him. "Go with the others, there's no need for both of us to go down."

"Sensei made us both the leaders, but you're also my brother," Leonardo told him. "We stick together."

Boy Danger and Leonardo stared at each other, the two thinking of the same plan that meant the others would get out of there aliveโ€”even if it was without them.

"You ready?" Boy Danger asked.

Leonardo nodded determinedly. "Let's do it."

Then, Boy Danger pulled out Michelangelo's nunchucks that he kept after pulling him out from the chamber. He charged at kranng, yanking the chain out at its maximum length. Ignoring the others calling for him, he ran to kranng's feet where he whipped the chain out and leapt into the air. He tangled his arms and legs in the chain, tying him up and landing behind him, holding onto the chain with all his strength as his eyes started to glow yellow again, his fists on the chain tightened even more immediately once his eyes had began to glow. Then, Leonardo leapt into the air and landed behind the kranng, taking out his own sword as he shoved it through the chain and plunged it into the floor before grabbing ahold onto the chain, helping Boy Danger keep the giant kranng back. Immediately, the kranng screeched and began pulling on the restraints.

"Leo, Danger, get back here!" Eclipse yelled.

"No!" Leonardo shouted. "You guys gotta leave now!"

"What!? No way!" Captain Violet yelled.

"Are you two crazy!?" Raphael yelled.

"We're not leaving you two, dude!" Michelangelo yelled.

"We're not asking!" Boy Danger yelled. "Get out of here, now!"

The chain snapped off Leonardo's sword and both Leonardo and Boy Danger pushed their feet into the ground, yanking the chain back to keep the giant kranng away from the pod.

"You guys gotta leave now! We can't hold him back any longer!" Leonardo yelled.

"We gotta go!" They heard Donatello tell the others.

"What!?" Both Raphael and Eclipse shouted at him in unison.

"We can't! It's Leo and Danger!" Captain Violet added.

Michelangelo closed the glass shield, despite the disapprove of Raphael, Eclipse, and Captain Violet, and the pod had started to fly back. The chains on the kranng broke, and both Leonardo and Boy Danger fell backwards. They looked up to see the pod shoot out back out of the door just as kranng swung at them.

The pod was gone.

The others had made it out.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE SECOND THAT the pod made it outside, it fell into the East River and floated back to the surface, the glass shield opening.

"I... I can't believe it!" Donatello said. "We made it!"

A loud sound from behind and they all looked to see the Technodrome falling from the sky. It crashed into the water, and the pod tilted widely due to the crash with movement. Once the pod settled down, they looked to see the Technodrome slowly sinking deeper and deeper into the dark water.

"Leo! Henry!" Michelangelo cried.

"No!" Captain Violet yelled.

Everyone could only watch sadly as the Technodrome sunk till the entire ship was under the water. But even though they won, none of them found it in their hearts to celebrate.

Leonardo and Henry were gone.

"I can't believe they're gone." Donatello said softly. "Leo... Henry."

Everyone started to look towards the ground while Raphael slid to the floor. "And I gave them nothing but a hard time. If I could take it back, I'd definitely be nicer." He said sadly.

"I mean, I always knew you were a big softie."

"Really?"

"Reallyโ€”wait," Raphael said, whipping his head around and gasped.

Both Leonardo and Henry, who had his mask off, were in the swim as the two swam slowly towards them. Despite how tired the two looked, the two of them had small smiles on their faces while swimming towards them.

Raphael sprang to his feet while the others grinned, looking delighted.

"Leo, Henry! You jerks! You scared the heck out of us!" Raphael said, yet a wide smile was on his face when he saw them.

"Hey, you can't get rid of us that easily." Henry said jokingly.

Both Leonardo and Henry reached up and grabbed the edge of the pod while the others quickly helped them climb inside the pod. Then, everyone sprang forward as they all did a group hug, laughing and cheering.

"Aw, man, I love you guys!" Michelangelo said happily.

There was loud splashing all around as the other escape pods surfaced, revealing the people that had gotten captured as the men, women, and children were now cheering at being safe. But, none of them cared about that right now as they were all just glad that Leonardo and Henry were back with them.

HALF AN HOUR later and everyone was gathered within the dojo, celebrating. Still happy and enthusiastic, Michelangelo yelled out. "Who saved the world?"

"WE SAVED THE WORLD!"

"I said, who saved the world!?"

"WE SAVED THE WORLD!"

"I SAIDโ€”"

"Stop asking!" Raphael snapped.

Michelangelo blinked, stopping his chant. "We saved the world..." he mumbled.

Henry looked over and noticed Splinter staring at the photo of his human self with his family while talking with April. He nudged Leonardo and motioned to it as the two walked over.

"Is something wrong, sensei?" Leonardo asked just as Splinter and April finished talking.

"I learned some things from the Shredder." Splinter said, not elaborating on what it was.

Henry frowned. "What things, sensei?"

"That's for another time, my sons," Splinter said as he rested his hands on their shoulders. "Tonight is for celebration! After all, it is not everyday you make the world safe from an alien invasion."

"You got that right!" Michelangelo said, appearing with the others and throwing his arms around Leonardo and Henry. "Everybody! Who saved the world!?"

"Mikey," they all said, sounding annoyed.

Michelangelo groaned.

"WE SAVED THE WORLD!" They cheered, leaping into the air.

"YEAH!" Michelangelo cheered with a wide grin.

While they were all spending the rest of the day relaxing and having fun in the lair with music playing as they all celebrated their big win, Splinter couldn't help but look towards his bedroom where the door was opened just a peek, knowing who was in there.

Hidden within the darkness of his friend's room, Flash Sentry kept his eyes on Briana, knowing that this was the closest he could get to her right now. He couldn't help but smile softly as he watched her.

"She's okay," he said quietly just to reassure himself. "We did the right thing, Twilight. She's safe and happy."

ONCE EVERYONE HAD gone to sleep that night after a long night of celebrating, Flash Sentry was prepared to leave the lair and head out. He and Splinter were standing outside the lair in order to said goodbye.

"Do you know where you're going?" Splinter asked.

"I'll keep myself hidden in the city for a while," Flash Sentry answered. "But then, I'm heading to Japan."

"Japan?"

Flash Sentry nodded. "Someone's gotta keep an eye on my father, make sure he and his assassins don't find out where Briana is."

Splinter frowned lightly. "You think he'd go after her?"

"You met my father, Yoshi, we both know he would." Flash Sentry said.

"Be careful out there." Splinter said.

"I will," Flash Sentry said. "And Yoshi, thank you for giving Briana the childhood that Twilight and I couldn't. You're doing a great job with her."

Splinter nodded, a warm smile on his face. "I'll see you again one day, brother."

Flash Sentry returned the smile. "See you again, brother."

And with that, the blue haired man turned and walked away in the opposite direction, leaving the lair that held his firstborn child behind with a heavy heart.

"Heroes have to know when to make the hardest decisions and to do it the right way. That's a heroโ€”someone who isn't afraid to fight for what's right and not back down from making the hard decisions. And lucky for me, my entire family is made up of heroes."
