"Sometimes the truth hurts, especially when you find out the ones you lovedโ€”the people that you thought would never hurt you by lying to you were the ones that kept it from you. So, yes, the truth hurts sometimes but the question is, is the truth better than living a life of lies that you wished was the truth?"

"NOTHING HAPPENING AT TCRI." Leonardo said, looking over at the building through a telescope. The seven teenagers were on another night of patrol and watching the building to see if anything suspicious would be happening; so far, nothing's happened throughout the past few weeks they've watched the building.

"Yet." Donatello added.

"This game is awesome!" Michelangelo suddenly called out, getting their attention as they looked over to find him playing on his t-phone. "The combat is so realistic!"

"You want me to make it more realistic?" Raphael asked irritated, clearly annoyed about the last few nights of patrol to watch TCRI and nothing's happened.

"Guys, stop messing around." Leonardo ordered.

"According to the kranng's storage device that I decrypted," Donatello said as he looked down at his t-phone. "Some kind of scouting ship is coming through the kranng portal tonight."

"So, we all have to stay on high alert," Boy Danger finished as he looked over at the orange-masked mutant turtle, who was still playing his game. "Mikey."

"I know, I know," he said, looking up at him. "We have to stay alert, blah, blah."

"Yeah, you never know what could sneak up on you."

"Oh, brother." Eclipse mumbled under her breath with an eye roll, already knowing who it was.

The seven of them looked up at the water tower in front of them, seeing Karai and Cameron standing on top. The two leapt off of the tower and landed in front of them.

"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me," Boy Danger said, his tone lingering with annoyance at the sight of the twoโ€”mostly towards Cameron. "Don't you two have anything better to do?"

Cameron smirked. "Nice to see you guys again," he looks over at Captain Violet and winks. "Especially you."

Captain Violet didn't know why but she felt a little uncomfortable by the wink, having a preference for when Kaz winks at her.

Leonardo glared at the two of them. "Cute, but I'm not in the mood." Karai's eyes narrowed and a second later, she pulled out her sword and lunged at him just as he drew his own swords. He blocked her and shoved her aside, stepping back in the process. "We don't have time for this!" He looks towards the others. "Guys!"

At once, they all took out their weapons and began fighting. "Booyakasha!" Michelangelo yelled during the fight.

"Booyakasha?" Karai questioned. "What does that even mean?"

"I don't know, but it's fun to yell." Michelangelo said.

"So," Cameron said as he blocks an oncoming attack from Boy Danger. "We heard the scrawny one mention the kranng. What's going on?"

"Yeah, well, it's none of your business." Boy Danger said, glaring at him.

"Aw, still don't trust us?" Cameron mocked, taking a great pleasure in messing with him, especially since if what his father said about the boy happens to be true.

"And I'm not scrawny," Donatello snapped, not giving Boy Danger time to said something as the teenaged boy himself held back a growl that threatened to come out. "I'm svelte."

"Oh, come on, let us in on the fun." Karai said, blocking Leonardo's swords.

"Fun? You think this is fun?" Eclipse asked.

"Well, it's gotta be better than what we normally do." Karai said.

"Look, we're a little busy trying to stop the beginning of an alien invasion here," Raphael said as his temper rose. "So, do us a favor and get lost! The both of you!"

Gaining their attention, both Karai and Cameron halted their attacks with wide eyes, lowering their weapons.

"An alien invasion?" Karai asked, sounding concerned for the first time. "Are you serious?"

"No, we're just kidding," Eclipse said sarcastically with an eye roll. "What the hell do you think?"

There was no time for anyone else to said anything because at that moment, thunder sounded from the clouds and lightning flashed as they all looked towards TCRI. At the top of the building, metal doors opened and a large, silvery shape appeared, revealing to be the scouting ship that they were keeping an eye out for.

"This can't be good." Leonardo said.

"Um, guys? I think I need to change my shell." Michelangelo told the others.

The scouting ship suddenly changed directions and headed straight for them. "I hope you two have a plan for fighting that thing." Cameron said.

Boy Danger scoffed as he and Leonardo shared a look. "Of course we do. Step one, run!"

Without waiting for another word and without hesitation, they all turned and started running over the roofs just as there was a loud explosion from behind as the ship fired at them. They all leapt off the ledge of the rooftop and landed on the fire escape ladder, wasting no time in climbing down the ladders and landed in an alley. They all ran down the alley and rounded the corner, losing the ship just for a moment.

"What the heck was that?" Karai asked.

"I don't know," Leonardo panted. "But, off the top of my head, I'd say they use it for flying and shooting at things."

"Like our shells!" Michelangelo said.

The seven teenagers ran into the street as both Leonardo and Captain Violet realized that Karai and Cameron stayed back and suddenly vanished, but they didn't paid any attention to them. The seven of them then disappeared and hid behind a car, keeping still and silent as the ship passed overhead.

"You think it knows where we are?" Captain Violet whispered.

"Yeah, maybe," Leonardo said.

As soon as he spoke, the car was lifted into the air. They all looked up to see the ship hovering over them, the car in its grasp. The seven of them screamed before leaping out of the way as the ship dropped the car right onto where they'd been sitting.

"Man, we gotta get underground!" Donatello said urgently.

"We'll draw their fire!" Leonardo said as he and Boy Danger sprinted off in an opposite direction of the others, their swords in their hands. "Hey, cyclops! Over here!"

While Boy Danger and Leonardo distracted the ship, the others ran for the nearest manhole cover as Raphael grabbed the manhole cover and yanked it away, letting Donatello, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Captain Violet leap through.

"Leo, Danger, come on!" Raphael called out towards them.

Both Leonardo and Boy Danger raced back toward them, the ship at their heels. Raphael jumped into the sewers, followed by Leonardo and then Boy Danger, who closed the manhole cover behind him as he landed beside the others. The seven of them looked up at the closed cover, bearing the ship glide over the where they stood.

They all looked through the grate, watching as the ship still hovered in the alley. A second later, it flickered and then became invisible.

"Oh, well, isn't that great." Eclipse said with a frown.

"Oh, great," Raphael added in agreement. "Cause it wasn't scary enough when we could see it."

The sound of police sirens reaches Boy Danger's ears as they pricked and the sound of helicopters mixed in as well.

"We better get outta here." He said.

They all turned and raced through the tunnels, heading back to the lair.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"THAT KRANNG SHIP is incredibly dangerous!" Leonardo said. "We've gotta figure out what it's doing here."

"Or," Raphael said as he twirled his sai in his hands. "We could just skip to the part where we destroy it." He spun around, stabbing his sais into the dummy, which fell to the ground.

Michelangelo knelt and picked up the dummy. "You're pretty tough when they can't hit you back," he said, frowning up at his brother.

Raphael glared, raising his fist, and Michelangelo yelped as he held the dummy up as a shield. Raphael lowered his hand and smirked at his youngest brother before looking back at the rest of them. "So, what are we waiting for?" He said, punching a fist into his hand. "Let's load up the ShellRaiser and challenge that thing to a rematch!"

"First, we need a way to find an invisible ship." Henry said.

"I know," Raphael said. "How about we shoot into the air until we hit it?"

"That... doesn't sound too smart." Leonardo said.

"Yeah, Raph," Michelangelo said with a smirk. "Not too smart, buddy." Raphael whipped around and raised his fist, and Michelangelo screamed and held the dummy up in defense.

"Actually," Donatello said as he walked over. "Raph's got something there."

"Yeah, Leo," Michelangelo said, using the dummy's hand to point at his brother. "Raph's got something there."

"Mikey," Eclipse said seriously. "Quit it."

"But instead of shooting objects, we'll shoot waves of electromagnetic radiation." Donatello said.

"So, in other words, radar." Briana guessed, and the purple masked mutant turtle nodded.

Donatello then reached behind him and pulled something out that looked like a small satellite. "I've built some radar beacons we can set up around town. If the ship gets near us, I'll get an alarm on my t-phone."

"Good work, Donnie," Leonardo said. "Come on, guys. Let's split up and place those beacons."

As the others began to walk away, Raphael suddenly raised his fist and knocked the dummy out of Michelangelo's hands before walking away with a smirk. Michelangelo glared at him before kneeling down and sitting the dummy up.

"You'll get him next time, buddy." Michelangelo said kindly, patting the dummy's chest.

"Mikey!" Both Leonardo and Henry called out for him.

"Loosen your kneepads, guys!"

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

CAPTAIN VIOLET HAD just finished attaching a beacon to the top of the vent that she stood on. She and the others had split up in different directions to set up the beacons. Once she was done, she took out her t-phone and pressed a button.

"All done over here," Captain Violet said into her t-phone. "Beacon all set up."

"Nice job, Little Genius. Well, that's the last of them," Donatello's voice said. "The others finished up with theirs and are heading back to the lair."

"See you at the lair then."

With that, the call ended as Captain Violet placed her phone back into her belt. Right when she went to leave, her footsteps came to a halt as she swore she heard something from behind her. Taking out her katana sword, she whirled around and pointed it at whoever was coming up behind her, only to see Cameron leaping onto the rooftop behind her.

"Cameron?" Captain Violet questioned, blinking when she realized it was him. With a sigh, she placed her sword away. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I thought we were overdue for a conversation," Cameron said. "You were the one that was avoiding me at first for a while till I messaged you a while back."

"Yeah, that," Captain Violet said as she rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. "I sorta promised my brothers and my sister that I'd stay away from you since they don't exactly trust you."

Cameron frowned slightly. "Why do you call them that?"

Captain Violet blinked at the sudden question. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, your so-called 'brothers' and 'sister,'" Cameron said as he added quotation marks around two of the words he spoke. "You don't share the same blood as them so, why bother calling them that?"

"I... well, you know, they practically raised me after they took me in," Captain Violet explained, still taken aback from the question. "And Henry, we've known him our whole lives."

"Yeah, but still," Cameron said with a frown. "I believe that to be family, you have to share the same blood. Five of them are mutants, one may be human but he's not the same blood as you. So, why bother calling them family if they're not the same blood as you?"

Captain Violet didn't said anything, a part of her knowing that deep down, he was right. Why did they care so much about her? She wasn't a mutant like them or share the same blood as Henryโ€”why did they seem to care so much about her? It's a question she's been wondering her whole life and a part of her was waiting for the day where they'd send her on her way since they wouldn't need her anymore and she was terrified about that day coming, believing that it'd be here sooner than she knows.

"Look, I'm just stating the facts how I see them," Cameron said with a frown, trying to make her see things his way yet he was unaware of how his words were causing her doubts to come out. "How do you know that they're not waiting to kick you outโ€”for them to said that they don't want you anymore?"

"I guess I don't know," Captain Violet admitted softly. "But they're the first ones that I've known that care about me."

"I'm not so sure they do," Cameron said. "How do you know that they're not lying to you? For all you know, they could know the truth about you and could be hiding from you."

"No, they wouldn't," Captain Violet shook her head, desperately not wanting to believe that but her own doubts wouldn't let her. "They... they know just how bad I want to know."

"I'm just saying," Cameron said as he held his hands up in defense. "You never know."

When she doesn't respond to that, Cameron gave a small sigh before glancing up at her. "Look, just think about it, okay?" He told her. "You never know if it's true or not."

Captain Violet nodded and watched as he leapt away, heading back to wherever he was heading too.

"There's no way they're lying to me... right?" She whispered to herself. Then, she shook her head and turned around, heading back to the lair.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"I KNOW WE shouldn't trust her," Leonardo said. It was the next day and the seven of them were kneeling in front of Splinter while April and Kaz were trainingโ€”Leonardo had just finished telling the others about his encounter with Karai the other night. "But still! I got the sense that she's really fed up with Shredder."

"That's probably what she wants you to think." Raphael said.

"I know! But..." Leonardo said before he looked over at the mutant rat. "Sensei, is there any chance that she's for real?"

"It is possible," Splinter said. "Loyalties have been known to shift. But, the kunoichi is trained to use deception to her advantage. Nevertheless, you cannot be sure what they will do."

"So, she either will or won't betray us?" Leonardo asked.

"Correct. You must trust your instincts." Splinter turned and headed toward his room. "But, beware the trap of believing something to be true simply because you wish it to be so."

"So, I should trust my instincts... unless my instincts are wrong?"

"Correct."

"Wow," Michelangelo said once he was gone. "You know it's good advice when you're still confused afterwards."

"Guys, seriously. An alliance with Karai?" Raphael asked. "No way! Why are we even talking about this?"

"Yeah, I'm with Raph on this," Eclipse said in agreement. "I don't trust Karai either and besides, even if we were to do it, we'd have to do it with Cameron and there's no way that I'd trust him either."

"It's too bad we can't trust them," Donatello said. "It would be nice to have more ninjas on our side."

"Uh, hello! What about us?"

They all looked to see Kaz and April standing there before the others had glanced over at Donatello, who looked suddenly nervous.

"No, I mean, a real ninja," Donatello said before he stammered. "I-I mean, not that you guys aren't real ones, just that... Karai's... better? I-I meanโ€”mean, notโ€”not better, justโ€”more experienced, eh... is it hot in here?"

"It's okay, I get it," April said sarcastically. "They're your mortal enemy, but hey! Karai's purtty!"

"No, she's not! You're way prettier! I-I meanโ€”!"

Briana blinked and held back a giggle from leaving her lips. She suddenly made eye contact with Kaz and she feels her cheeks turns bright pink as she quickly looks away, not noticing Kaz smirking a little from that.

Henry stares at Donatello before he looks over at Raphael, who nodded at each other. Then, the two of them stood up, each one grabbing one of his arms while Raphael covered his mouth. His voice was muffled as he looked confused.

"Don't fight it," Raphael said. "You'll thank us later."

"Trust me, we're doing you a favor." Henry added.

Donatello just hung his head in embarrassment.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"GUYS, I THINK I've got something," Donatello said, looking down at his now-beeping phone. "Doesn't match any authorized flight patterns. It's gotta be the kranng ship!"

"Or Santa!" Michelangelo said excitedly.

"Mikey, it's spring." Eclipse said. "I doubt it's him."

Leonardo turned the wheel and the ShellRaiser rounded the corner before coming to a quick stop since right in front of them was the kranng ship.

"No, it's the kranng ship," Michelangelo said with a groan. "Ugh, that's a bummer."

The ship hovered in front of them for a moment before shooting a giant laser at them.

"Move it, Leo!" Raphael shouts.

Leonardo slammed his foot on the gas and the van went flying backwards, avoiding three more blasts. "Guys, hang on!" He calls out to the others. The van twisted and turned as he sped up to avoid the shots that the ship fired at them.

"Uh, I think I figured out its mission," Captain Violet said. "Us!"

"Mikey, we need an escape route!" Boy Danger said.

"Take the alley on the right!"

Leonardo took a sharp right, driving down an alleyway. His eyes widened and he hit the brakes, causing the ShellRaiser to skid to a halt. "It's a dead-end!"

Michelangelo looked closely at the map. "Don't take the alley on the right!"

"A little late for that, Mikey!" Eclipse yelled.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang as the ShellRaiser was hit by a force that nearly knocked it over as the ship was firing everything it had at the vehicle. The bangs got louder and louder to the point where the emergency lights started beeping.

"Any ideas, guys?" Leonardo asked.

"Just one." Raphael said. He got out of his seat and ran to the back by his brother, who ducked and covered his head. Raphael raised his fists and started punching and smacking his shell.

"Ow, ow, ow!"

A second later, the bangs stopped as the ship stopped firing at the vehicle while the ship began floating away. "That's Karai! With Cameron!" Leonardo realized.

Leonardo then pulled the van out of park, swerved around, and started speeding off after the ship where Karai and Cameron were still hitching a ride.

"What's the plan?" Eclipse asked.

"We've gotta go back and help them." Leonardo said firmly.

"Whoa, whoa, hold on!" Boy Danger said, not liking the sound of that. The last thing he wanted was to be around the two people he didn't trustโ€”or in this case, he just didn't feel like dealing with Cameron seeing as how the boy annoys him the most. "They can handle themselves!"

"Yeah, I'm with Danger on this." Raphael spoke up. "I said let's put some distance between that thing and us."

"No!"

"But the ShellRaiser can't take another hit right now!" Donatello said seriously.

"Then I'll do it myself!" Leonardo said as he unbuckled his seatbelt and jumped up from his seat. "Danger, take the wheel." The whole van swerved for a moment before Boy Danger quickly took the wheel. Leonardo opened the hatch that lead to the Stealth Bike. "I'll meet you back underground."

"Hey!" Raphael shouted. "The Stealth Bike's my thing!"

"Well, now your thing is sucking it up." Leonardo snapped as he closed the hatch.

"Hey, that's my thing!" Donatello snapped.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

THE SHELLRAISER WAS waiting underground where Boy Danger had it as they were waiting for Leonardo to get back. "We're back." Leonardo announced, opening the hatch.

"We?" Eclipse questioned.

Leonardo sighed as Karai and Cameron appeared through the hatch.

"Whatโ€”Leo!" Boy Danger yelled. "You brought them inside!?"

"Dude, they'll see all our gear!" Raphael added.

Karai looked around the van curiously. "Yeah. Cause if Shredder finds out you have an ice cream lamp, it is over." She said, smirking while Raphael refused to look at her.

"They just risked their lives to save us," Leonardo said. "They've earned a little trust. Let's hear them out."

"If you said so." Boy Danger said, pushing down the throttle and the ShellRaiser powered down.

All the attention turned towards Karai and Cameron. "You guys need our help," Karai started. "I mean, you really think you can shoot down a high-tech alien ship with garbage?"

"Compressed garbage." Donatello corrected irritably.

"And manhole covers." Michelangelo added.

Cameron blinked. "What's the difference?" He curiously asked.

"The point is," Karai started. "To take out a ship like that, you need a real weapon."

"Oh, yeah?" Eclipse asked. "Like what?"

"What if we got you a shoulder fired missile launcher?" Karai asked.

Raphael stared at her for a moment before turning to the blue masked mutant turtle. "I'm starting to like her."

"Where are you two gonna get a shoulder fired missile launcher?" Donatello questioned.

"Shredder, of course." Cameron replied.

Briana blinked. "Uh, this is Shredder we're talking about. He really hates us."

"Yeah, he's not gonna wanna share his toys with us." Boy Danger added.

"He won't know it," Karai said simply. "He's buying a big shipment of weapons at the docks tomorrow night. All we need to do is sneak in and help ourselves."

Nobody else said anything till Raphael spoke up. "Anyone else smell a trap?"

"I do." Eclipse commented.

"Sorry, that was me." Michelangelo muttered.

"Why would we trap you?" Karai asked. "You're the only ones who know what the kranng are up to."

"True," Donatello said. "But, you guys don't really have the best track record."

"And you two also happen to be members of the Foot Clan." Boy Danger added, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Fine, we'll get you the missile launcher ourselves." Karai said.

"You're really willing to steal from Shredder?" Leonardo asked.

"Look, these things have to be stopped," Karai said. "If Shredder's not gonna do something about it, then we will, with or without help."

Leonardo looked around at the others. Donatello, Michelangelo, and Briana nodded, Raphael and Eclipse raised their hands in a gesture of surrender, and Boy Danger sighed before raising his hand to let him know that it was his call.

"Alright, here's the deal," Leonardo said. "You get us the missile launcher, and we'll team up."

Karai smirked approvingly at him as she and Leonardo shook hands.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

EVERYTHING WAS SET. They had a plan to take down the kranng's scouting ship if everything went accordingly to plan. "Stoked!" Michelangelo said excitedly as he, Briana, and Raphael played on the pinball machine. "I can't believe we're getting a missile launcher! What should we blow up first?"

"Uh... the kranng ship?" Raphael asked.

"Oh, right," Michelangelo said. "What should we blow up second?"

"If they can pull it off." Leonardo said firmly as he was currently punching and kicking at the dummy a little more forcefully than usual.

"Are you worried about your girlfriend?" Donatello jeered teasingly. "I see why you guys do that now, it's kinda fun."

"You guys tease me all the time about Kaz." Briana pointed out.

"Because it's funny." Eclipse told her with a smirk.

"And your face gets all red when we do," Michelangelo said with a smirk as he poked her cheek. "It's cute."

Briana blushed lightly in embarrassment and playfully swatted his hand away.

Leonardo glared at his younger brother but his cheeks had gone slightly pink. "It isn't gonna be easy," he said seriously. "Shredder's gonna be there too."

"Hey... Leo's right!" Raphael suddenly turned away from the machine and walked over. "For once, we know where Shredder's gonna be ahead of time! Which means... we could set a trap for him!"

"What?" Leonardo asked. "No, look, we already made a deal with Karai and Cameron. We can't just go behind their backs. This is about the kranng ship, they want to take us out!"

"Uh, so does Shredder," Eclipse reminded. "You know Raph's right. This could be our only chance to take him by surprise for once. Are we really gonna pass that up?"

Leonardo looked over at Henry, hoping that he'd agreed with him. "Please tell me that you're not actually considering this." He said.

"Well... it's an idea." Henry admitted, knowing that it was an advantage that they knew where Shredder would be and the man himself wouldn't even know they were there.

"We made a deal with Karai and Cameron, we can't go back on it." Leonardo said. "We have to focus on kranng."

"We do this, and we can get rid of Shredder for good." Raphael said firmly.

"Leo, I don't like the idea of going after Shredder either but they're right," Henry said. "He doesn't know that we know about his shipment. And besides, if Karai had a chance like this to go after Splinter, you know she'd take it. Why shouldn't we?"

Leonardo stayed quiet for a few seconds, thinking it over. He knows that not only are Raphael and Eclipse right, but he knows Henry's right about Karai. If she had the chance to take Splinter down, she'd take it within a heartbeat. So, why was he so hesitant over not taking this chance to bring Shredder down for good?

Leonardo sighed. "All right, guys, let's take down the Shredder."

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

"AIM FOR HIS armor. The electro-grenade will use the metal as a conductor to amplify the shock." Donatello said as he handed Michelangelo a metal bomb.

"How much of that did I need to understand?" Michelangelo asked.

"Aim for his armor."

"Got it."

"You guys sure we can trust Mikey with this?" Raphael asked.

"Definitely." Boy Danger said.

"When it comes to water balloon launchers, he's the best in the business." Leonardo added confidently.

"Booyakasha, ShredHead." Michelangelo said as he aimed at Shredder and fired the metal bomb.

Cameron, however, noticed and looked over to Karai as he gestured towards it. "Look out!" Karai shouts as she pushes Shredder out of the way.

"Are you kidding me?" Eclipse asked irritated by what just happened.

"I do not understand that woman." Michelangelo said.

Karai suddenly grabbed the missile launcher and aimed at them, firing.

"Incoming!" Boy Danger shouts as the seven of them jumped down.

"Well, this can't get much worse." Raphael said.

As if it was on cue, Donatello's t-phone beeped as he took it out and glanced down at it. "The radar! The kranng ship is nearby!" He said.

"Fall back, guys!" Leonardo said.

"No argument here!" Donatello said.

Right as they started running, both Boy Danger and Captain Violet got separated from them when Soren moved in front of the two teenagers, blocking their path. The five mutant turtles turned around for a second but were forced to keep walking backwards with Shredder after them.

"Go! We'll meet up with you guys!" Boy Danger told them.

With no other choice, the five mutant turtles left with the Shredder following right after them. "Well, this should be interesting." Soren said with a smirk, taking out his sword.

Neither one of them said anything as the two took out their weapons, the fight officially starting between the three. Throughout the fight, Soren kept his eyes on Boy Danger's movements as if he was searching for something specifically and he smirked lightly when he spotted the teenaged boy's eyes flashing a bright yellow.

'So, I was right. This kid is one of those shapeshifters from back in the days. Considering how those shapeshifters are supposedly extinct now, I can probably convince Master Shredder to agreed to capturing him and Princess Briana, seeing as how we can use the both of them to our advantage.' Soren thought secretly to himself.

Captain Violet went to go for an attack but Boy Danger stopped her. "I'll take care of him, you go get the missile launcher so we can take the kranng ship out."

"You sure?" Captain Violet asked, unsure if she should leave him on his own.

"Yeah, I'll be fine."

She nodded and raced off to grab the missile launcher while Boy Danger and Soren continued to fight. Soren went to bring his sword down onto him but Boy Danger blocked the oncoming attack with his twin swords before pushing him back and delivering a roundhouse kick that sends him stumbling back onto the ground. Right when Boy Danger could go in, a voice suddenly calls out, "No!"

Then, Cameron jumps in front of the attack, blocking it with his own sword before pushing the boy back. Then, he quickly turns towards Soren to check on him. "Are you alright, father?" He asks.

While Soren nods, Boy Danger's eyes widened and so does Captain Violet's eyes, who overheard him. "Father!? This is your father!?" She asks, surprised.

"I wonder what else is he lying about." Boy Danger mumbled but Cameron glared at him.

"Oh, I'm the one that's lying?" Cameron asked with a glare. "I bet you do know the truth about her and you just haven't told her. And I bet those turtles know too."

Immediately, Boy Danger felt his body tensed at those wordsโ€”something that Captain Violet took notice of. "Danger?"

Cameron smirked at his reaction. "I told you he knewโ€”in fact, they knew about you. They just haven't told you yet."

"Shut up." Boy Danger said angrily, glaring at him, trying to ignore the hurt look in Captain Violet's eyes that made him feel guilty.

"Father!" Karai's voice suddenly shouts that grabs everyone's attention, giving Boy Danger and Captain Violet to meet up with the others where they watch Karai jumping into the water to save Shredder since he had gotten hit the kranng's ship and fell into the water after Leonardo had used the missile launcher to take the ship out.

The seven teenagers then quickly took their chance to escape from the docks while their enemies were waiting for Karai to resurface to help Shredder out of the water.

๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘

WHEN THE SEVEN teenagers made it back to the city, Leonardo was standing by the edge of the rooftop. "Leo, it's not that bad," Donatello said. "You blew up the kranng ship."

"But I also blew our chance to get Karai on our side." Leonardo said.

"Look, she's Shredder's daughter, his blood, she was never gonna be on our side." Raphael said.

"Yeah, maybe you're right," Leonardo said with a frown. "Maybe I was just believing what I wanted to."

"I've been there, dude," Michelangelo said. "For me, it was leprechauns."

Leonardo frowned and stared at him, not realizing that Raphael, Donatello, Eclipse, and Boy Danger were shaking their heads at him.

"Are you seriously comparing what I'm going through to the time that you found out that leprechauns aren't real?" Leonardo asked as the three other mutant turtles facepalmed.

"Leprechauns aren't real!?" Michelangelo asked shocked.

"Before I forget," Boy Danger added, getting their attention. "That Soren guy? Yeah, he's Cameron's father."

"That's his father?" Eclipse questioned, and Boy Danger nodded.

"Are you guys lying to me?"

The five mutant turtles froze at those words and Boy Danger squeezes his eyes shut for a minute before he opens them again. They stare at each other before turning to look at her while Leonardo stands up.

"Are you?" Captain Violet asks softly, turning around to meet them with a frown. "Do you guys know the truth about me? But you're just lying to me?"

"Viโ€”" Leonardo started but got cut off.

"Are you?" Captain Violet asked again, frowning even more when none of them wouldn't look at her, giving her the answer that she needed. "You are, all of you. Cameron was right then."

"Vi, look, we can explainโ€”" Leonardo tried to said again.

Captain Violet shook her head as she backed up. "I... I can't." Then she reached into her belt and pulled out a smoke bomb. She threw it onto the rooftop and when the purple smoke disappeared, she was gone.

"Now what?" Michelangelo asks softly.

"I think we gotta let Sensei know."

"IT WAS DANGEROUS for you to tell them, Henry."

Henry hadn't met Splinter's eyes since they got back to the lair. He knew that he had disappointed him and he couldn't face seeing it written on his face. He didn't have it in him to look up at the mutant rat that's like a father to him and see the disappointment on his faceโ€”he couldn't.

Leonardo frowned at those words. "It's not Henry's fault, Sensei."

"Yeah, you shouldn't be mad at him, not when he was having a hard time keeping it to himself with all that pressure on him." Raphael said upset as the others looked over at him.

"Raphaelโ€”"

"No! With all due respect, sensei, you weren't there when he told us. You didn't see how he was crumbling on the inside under all that pressure on his shoulders. Besides, what does it matter if he told us? You shouldn't have told him to keep it from us in the first place. We all had a right to know! Especially since it was about Briana!" Raphael argued.

"I have to agree with Raph on this," Eclipse added in agreement. "It wasn't fair to Henry for you to tell him to keep it hidden from us, sensei."

"Eclipseโ€”"

"No offense, sensei, but they're right," Michelangelo added as well. "I mean, you were the one that taught us the importance of family and how important it was for us to watch each other's backs."

"Michelangeloโ€”"

"Plus, we could've helped Henry with it too," Donatello added. "So, that way he wasn't dealing with all that pressure by himself."

"Guys, it's okay, really." Henry tried to assure them. He didn't want them to be upset with their father just because of him.

"They're right though, Henry," Leonardo said before looking up at his father and teacher. "Sensei, that's our rule. Family first, always and forever. It wasn't fair for Henry to have all that pressure on his shoulders so if telling us the truth helped take some of it off of his shoulders then, that's how it's gonna be."

Splinter stared at them, knowing that he was now caught with his web of lies that he's been keeping from them about Briana and the truth about her. He's been lying to them about Briana for their entire lives and now, he's been caught with no way out but to tell them the truth.

Even if it was too dangerous for them.

At this point, all he could do was hope for the best and for when the time came that enemies from all over the world would began their search for Briana, he could only pray that Henry, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Eclipse had what it took to keep Briana from falling into the wrong hands.

Especially if Henry, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Eclipse were ones of the eleven guardians that the prophecy talked about.

Splinter sighed. "I'm afraid you're all right. Perhaps it is time that I am honest with all of you but beware, the truth is just as dangerous to know, especially for Briana."

LANDING ON THE fire escape ladder, Briana knocked on the window and waited for it to be opened. It didn't take long for Kaz to open his bedroom window when he realized who was standing on the other side of it. "Bri? What are you doing here?" He asked before he smirked at her. "Missed me already, Love?"

Briana couldn't help but blushed lightly at the new nickname, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink as she smiled shyly at him. "Maybe." She admitted shyly as she nervously played with the ends of her hair. "Is... is that okay?"

"Yeah, who knowsโ€”maybe I missed you too, M'lady," Kaz said, giving her a wink before he smirked a little upon seeing her blush more. He swears she just keeps getting more adorable with every second. "Come on in." He said, letting her step into his bedroom.

"Thanks." She said, stepping into his bedroom with a shy smile.

"So, not that I'm not happy you came to see me cause I am, but," Kaz said as he stared at her. "I thought you and the others were trying to stop the kranng ship."

"We did, but, uh..." Briana started before she trailed off, the fact that the others knew the truth about her still hurt.

Kaz noticed her hesitation. "Something happened?"

"You could said that." Briana said softly, looking down at the ground a little.

Kaz then gently lifted her face as their eyes made contact with the other, getting locked in a lovingly gaze with the other. "You wanna talk about it?" He suggested softly, neither one of them moved to break the contact.

And as Briana stared into his dark brown eyes, she could feel her heartbeat quickening in her chest. For a split, quick second, her eyes moved to his lips before meeting his eyes again as she felt her stomach tingled with nervousness, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"I... uh, y-you know how I-I've been so curious about my past?" She asks softly, stuttering a little. Kaz nodded, letting her continue at her own pace. "I... well, it turns out that Henry, Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and Clips knew about it and they never told me. I... they wanted to explain but I-I couldn't let them and I... left them because it..." she trailed off, not being able to finish the rest of her sentence.

"Hurt?" Kaz finished gently for her.

Briana nodded. "I couldn't face them, not after finding out that they've been lying to me." She frown slightly, blinking back the tears that threatened to spill. "It's just... they knew how bad I wanted to know and they... now, I can't help but think that maybe it's because they don't need me andโ€”"

"I don't think that's the reason they didn't tell you." Kaz admitted, not wanting her to believe her doubts. "Maybe lying wasn't the best idea but from what I've seen since meeting you guys, they're always gonna need you."

"I... I don't know about that," Briana admitted sadly, frowning.

Kaz gets confused by that. "What do you mean?"

"Just... you know, Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and Clips are mutants and I'm not. Then, there's Henry and I don't share the same blood as him," Briana explained with a frown, holding back her tears. "Why would they want me aroundโ€”much less need me if I'm not related to them?"

"They're still your family, Bri," Kaz said. "I mean, them and Master Splinter pretty much raised you."

"That's not what Cameron says," Briana adds. "He says that to be a family, you have to share the same blood as them and I don't share that with any of them."

Kaz frowned lightly at those words. "I know I haven't met this Cameron guy but he sounds like an idiot." He said seriously. "I wouldn't listen to him. Family doesn't always have to be blood, Bri."

Briana stared at him as he continued. "Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and Clips found you in the sewers and took you in, they pretty much helped Master Splinter raised you. You've known Henry your whole life and you've always considered him as an older brother. As far as you're concerned, they're your family. What anybody else tells you doesn't matter."

Briana blinked as she stared at him in awe, her heart racing in her chest at his words and how confidently he said them.

"I know it probably hurts that they kept it from you, but I don't think they would've kept it from you if it wasn't for a good reason," Kaz said. "They're always gonna try to protect you, that's something that'll never change."

Briana nodded, letting his words sink in. She forced herself to push her doubts awayโ€”to lock them behind her walls so she wouldn't have to deal with them but a few of those doubts of her wouldn't release its tight grip on her.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Briana said. "Thank you."

Kaz nodded, watching as a small smile came onto her face as he smiled. "Hey, there's that smile that I like seeing so much." He told her with a smirk.

Briana felt her face turned bright red from that comment as she suddenly began to giggle, her legs shaking at the sudden nervousness and her smile widened.

"You... you like my smile?" She asked, shyly playing with the ends of her hair.

"I do," Kaz admitted as he winked at her. "Don't stop smiling, okay?"

"Okay," Briana said with a shy smile, nodding at his words. "I won't."

Then, Kaz suddenly leaned forward and pushed a kiss against her cheek, making Briana blushed bright red as she suddenly began to giggle nonstop. Kaz couldn't help but smile at her, his dark brown eyes meeting her sapphire blue eyes in a lovingly gaze.

What neither one of them realized was that standing on a nearby rooftop was none other than Cameron watching them. He frowned slightly and even clenched his fists when he watched Kaz kissed her cheek.

"So, that's him, huh?" Cameron said with a scoff. "What's so great about him? He's nothing but a common city boy! A commoner! She's a princess! I'm the one that should be with her!"

And the more he continued to watch, Cameron couldn't help but continued to glare at Kaz, completely unaware that this was only the start of his rivalry with Kaz and his very obsession that could end up taking Briana's life from her.

"The truth is never easy. Sometimes it's hard to hear and other times, it's too dangerous to even know about. So, is living a life of lies that you wished was the truth better than knowing the truth? Well, that depends, doesn't it? And in my case, I'm not exactly sure what's the answer to that question."
