『 ENEMY
𝘪i. help wanted 』
(episode two. first learn stand)
AT JUNES WORK, THE PLACE WAS SLOW AT THE MOMENT, WITH ONLY A FEW TABLES TAKEN. June notices a new costumer sitting there, the menu covering her view of the persons face. She walks over to the person, introducing herself as usual. "Hi, I'm June. Are we waiting on anybody or is it just you?" She asks, the person pulls down the menu to show their face, it's a woman; in her 40s maybe, but June feels like she's seen the woman before, but can't point where.
"Can I get you started with anything?" June asks, pulling out her pen and notebook. "Actually there's only one thing I need, and that's for you to stay the hell away from my daughters." She spoke, in a commanding tone. June realizes who it is and why she recognizes her.
"You." June glances around before continuing, "You really came to my job?" Amanda sighs, "Well I tried calling your parents, no call back big surprise, should I have kicked in your front door. Is that more your speed?" The brunette explains to the girl with a blank look on her face. "Everyday in my house, there are little reminders of the mess you made. I see my daughters covering up their bruises and scars. The only reason you aren't behind bars, again might I add, right now, is because she asked me not to drag this ordeal out. So you can have your little tournament." Amanda explains, she continues her voice barely above a whisper. "But if you touch one hair on her head before then, you'll be scrubbing toilets in prison for the rest of your life. If you're lucky."
June releases a breath she didn't realize she was holding in. Her breath is slightly shaky, trying to comprehend everything the woman had just said. "Excuse me, miss. I think my soup is ready, I see it in the counter over there." A man a couple tables down says, impatiently.
"Yeah, in a minute." June brushes him off, turning back to Amanda. "I think you should leave." She tells the woman, "I will. Not here to cause a scene, just hear to deliver a message. I need to know that you got that message." Amanda states, still in a slightly commanding tone.
June shrugs, "I don't care about your message." She scowls, as the woman stands up the face her, eye to eye. "That would be a mistake."
The two stare into each others eyes, almost not blinking, but is interrupted by June's boss, who noticed the altercation. "Is everything all right here?" The older man spoke in a thick accent. "I don't know, is it?" Amanda questioned, not breaking eye contact with the teen.
The man from earlier spoke up again, "Miss, I don't want my soup to get cold." Junes blood was boiling, she couldn't stand it anymore, and this idiot wasn't helping. June in rage, slammed the table, the loud noise erupting through the building, "입 닥쳐!" (Shut the hell up!).
"월! 당신의 행동은 충분했습니다!" (June, I've had enough of you're behavior!) He spoke, knowing she only understood him, "You're fired."
June was still angry, even more now. She turns to Amanda, "Thanks a lot." She starts to walk out of the building announcing, "This place got a B on the heath inspection, they hide the sign so you can't see it." She turns towards the man annoying her, "I saw one of the cooks dip his balls in the gamjatang. 똥! 이건 니 잘못이야, 개년아!" (Shit! This is your fault, bitch). June shouts, switching languages as she storms out of the restaurant.

AT COBRA KAI, THE TEAM PRACTICED DIFFERENT MIYAGI-DO TECHNIQUES. "There's a reason Miyagi-Do is difficult to learn. These blocks are incredibly precise. Each one is designed to overcome a specific attack." Robby explains, walking around the room, before stopping in front of June.
"Show me wax on wax off." Robby nods, sending a couple punches towards June, which she blocked. "The more you learn Miyagi-Do, the tougher you are to defeat."
Kreese then makes his presence known, as the students stopped practicing."Except for one tiny flaw. Their entire style is reactive, which all their moves are counter moves. That means that we are in control. And we can use that to set traps."
The boy teaching nodded, turning back to June. "Show me paint the fence." She blocked a punch but was too slow to dodge when Robby sweeps her legs out from underneath her. "Sorry. Just part of the lesson." Robby smirks, offering a hand. June reaches for that outstretched hand, pulling herself up, before flipping the boy over onto the ground, looming over him, and angrily punching just off from his face, landing into the mat.
"Enough! Seok in my office." Kreese demanded, looking to the girl. His gaze then switched over to Robby who looked very confused, "Continue the lesson."
The sensei and student sat on opposite ends of the desk, in the small office. "What is it? Something happen at home?"
June shook her head, "No." Kreese didn't seem to believe the girl, knowing she lied. She huffed, "I lost my job. And it's not so easy looking for a new one when your on probation."
"Do you feel sorry for yourself?" Kreese questioned, the girls brows furrowed, staying silent. "When something bad happens, you have two choices. You let it tear you down or you let it build you up. Sometimes a step backwards... opens a new path forward." June looks down to her lap, playing with her hands, as the man's words sunk in. "Now, what happened?"

KREESE BENDS DOWN TO PICK UP THE BLOCK OF CHEESE, COMING FACE TO FACE WITH AMANDA LARUSSO. "Butter fingers, huh?" He teases, placing it back on the display. "What are you doing here?" Amanda questioned, "Why it's honey crisp season! This store has the best produce in the valley." Kreese explains, grabbing a apple from the display next to him.
"Don't you need to be a legally mandated distance away from me?" Amanda states, "Other way around. Technically, you're the one in violation." Kreese shrugs, gesturing to her as he talked. Amanda, keeping her face strong, steps closer to him. "I know about the deal you struck with my husband and Johnny. And I just want you to know, that what ever happens at the tournament." She pauses, getting even closer to the man to whisper, "I will make sure you lose."
She turns around, walking back to her cart. "Is that why you're sabotaging my student?" Kreese questions, referring to June. "I wasn't trying to get June fired." She said, turning her head to face him. "But that girls asking for trouble. She broke into my house, attacked my kids. They're gonna have scars for the rest their lives." She says, before looking away from him.
"I respect you defending your daughters. I think that's what all mothers should do. Unfortunately, June doesn't have a mother, or one that's still alive to defend her." Kreese pauses, as Amanda's face drops. "Their guardian used to be their grandmother, but things happen. This girl has to pay the bills, put food on the table, it's just her and her brother." Amanda sighs, trying to recollect her thoughts. "I've seen that girl cry, talking about her creepy landlord, who did some inappropriate things you could say to her as a child. Just because she couldn't pay rent."
"I didn't know that."
"Well now you know. So you might want to leave the girl alone. Or deal with the consequences." Kreese pauses as a worker walks over to give Amanda some cheese found in the back. "Remember, not all kids are as lucky as yours." He says before taking a bite of the apple he's been holding, Kreese walks a few steps before turning around again. "Sweet." He smiles, holding up the apple to her, before laughing as he walked away.

WYATT AND JUNE ENTERED THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. Wyatt just coming home from school, while June went to walk home with her brother. The girl pulled out her set of keys, and looked down to see the bag full of groceries sat at the doorstep. "What the hell?" Wyatt muttered, as June scowled grabbing the bag and walking back for where they came, Wyatt following after her.
After a bit of walking the two made it to the nice Encino area, looking up to the fancy car dealership.
The two waltz into the dealership, turning a corner to see none other than Amanda LaRusso. The woman notices the twins, cursing to herself, "Oh shit."
"Shit? What? What's shit? Why are we saying—" The dorky looking employee stutters, looking to Amanda in confusion. June stomps up to the the two adults, dropping the bag full of groceries onto the sleek tile floor.
"You really think this makes up for it? Leaving this at my doorstep?" June spat, "We don't need your pity." Amanda sighs, looking down at the bag, before glancing between the siblings. "I just wanted to make sure you guys had enough food."
"Yeah, we can feed ourselves." June defends, pointed to herself. "Look, why don't we go talk, we can go in my office?" Amanda suggested, trying to get the fuming teens out of the way to the public.
"No, we're talking here." Wyatt said, voice raising a bit. "Okay, maybe we just lower our volume? Huh? You know, Gandhi once said that nobody can hurt me without my permission." The dorky employee that was still there spoke, June gave him a look at said, 'What the hell?'. While Wyatt leaned a it closer to the man, "Take another step and I'll snap you in half like a pencil."
Amanda sighs, rubbing her face, as the man walked away. "Look, I just want all of this to be over."
June stares at the woman, "Well, don't worry. It'll all be over soon. When I humiliate your daughter at the All Valley in front of everyone. Thanks for lighting a fire under me." June gives the woman a fake toothy smile, kicking the bag of groceries.
"You're in for trouble, and losses." Wyatt added, before smashing a tomato under his shoe.

"EVER SINCE I'VE STARTED AT THIS NEW SCHOOL, MY LIFES BEEN MISERABLE." Kenny stated, thinking of the times where he was laughed at in the halls. "They chase me. Beat me up. It's not gonna stop."
"I don't know how I'm gonna keep going." He sat down on the bus, laying his head back. "I don't feel safe." A small carton of milk then bounced off his head, being thrown from Anthony LaRusso and his friends.
"One of them even knows karate."
The two teens in front of the boy, chuckled about the part about this kid knowing karate. "Karate, huh?" Shawn questions continue if to laugh. "Okay, shut it. This is serious." Willow reprimanded her brother, trying to hold in her laughter.
"What's so funny?" Kenny questions, feeling small compared to his older siblings.
"Hey, don't worry about it, little bro." Shawn starts, the two teens glancing at each other. "We know a couple people who can help." Willow says, turning back to her younger brother.
