MYLAH EVANS has always blended into the shadows despite her dad's fame as a legendary basketball player. Many things were expected of Mylah throughout her life. 

Growing up in the shadow of her father's fame, she's learned to keep her head down and stay out of trouble. Especially in a small town where everyone seemed to know everything about you and nothing was a secret. 

So when Mylah was sexually assaulted by someone she once cared for, she kept it a secret from everyone. But that was difficult when, a few months later, she found out she was pregnant. Her dad only focused was on making sure it didn't hurt his career in the NBA or that she would cause more shame to the family name. 

As the basketball season unfolded in Tree Hill, Mylah watched from the sidelines as her best friend Lucas joined the team, a move that stirred up tension, especially among the Scotts. She finds herself drawn into the basketball world, a place that she would rather not be given growing up in that world with her dad. Mylah is unsure of where her loyalties lie and what the future holds for her and those she cares about. In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, one thing became clear: nothing would ever be the same in Tree Hill.

But when she meets Nathan Scott, the star player on the Tree Hill Ravens basketball team, everything changes.

Mylah never expected to fall for Nathan Scott. He was the enemy, at least in her dad's eyes. He was the epitome of everything she had been taught to avoid: charming, popular, and a Scott. Yet, against all odds, she found herself drawn to him in a way she couldn't explain.

As Mylah moves through high school, she will one day confront the boy who took everything from her. She will have to decide what it means for her and her daughter when she tells the truth, whether it sets her free or if everything will crumble around her. She will also have to deal with Nathan and if she is willing to risk everything to be with him. 

Will Mylah take the risk?

P.S: I want to thank everyone who is going to or will read this story. I had this idea for a while but didn't know if I should share it or not. Also, I thought I would write a One Tree Hill story because I love these characters so much and haven't seen many stories about them. Please don't forget to comment and vote on my story. P.S.S: This is a rewrite, so some characters and the plot will change from the previous version. Also, April is coming up as sexual assault awareness month. I have been putting off posting this story because I know that it can trigger many of my readers, and it has a topic that is uncomfortable for most. But I decided to post it anyway because I and some of my friends have dealt with sexual assault. 

If this story is too triggering for you, I understand that you may not want to read it, which will not hurt my feelings. I decided that this story needed to be written. I want to spread awareness of this issue and understand what some survivors go through. Also, I do not include my character or future characters in my books to have been sexually assaulted for the plot or romanticize it because this is a severe issue. I am doing this to take a stand and hope that some who come across my book will be able to treat those who go through this as a victim and understand that your story has power, and speak up because the world needs to hear it when you are comfortable to do so. I hope you enjoy this book and my others, as this one will be more personal.
