LOVE AT DAWN

Book title: love at dawn
Author: LiebeKlara
Title (5/5)
I really love the title of the story. It’s short and relevant with the story’s plot.
Cover (5/5)
The cover matched perfectly with the genre. The cover definitely represents the 18th century era. It’s cute and shows an adorable relation between the protagonists.
Description/Prologue (5/5)
The blurb of the story is really interesting. It definitely attracts me to read more. The story of Edith, Andre and Fiona is really mesmerizing in my view. I really love the start of the story. The prologue starts with an old lady and a young man. The interesting thing about the prologue was; I already had so many questions about the relationship between the two opening characters. The start was intriguing.
First chapter (5/5)
The description of the first chapter was really beautiful. A young girl meets a handsome painter. The meeting of Edith and Andre was very intriguing and cute. I really love the way you’ve described the city in prospect of Edith’s point of view.
Character development (10/10)
Throughout the story, I really liked Edith’s character. She was beautiful, kind and of course, a confident soul. You’ve introduced many characters in Edith’s as well as Fiona’s story. But if you ask me, what’s the most intriguing character according to me then it was definitely Andre. You did an excellent job in describing your characters.
Plot (10/10)
Honestly, I’ve never read historical fiction this keenly. There weren’t any plot holes rather I was thrilled with the plot twists. You’ve given a vast description of revolution and the difficulties people face. Like in chapter 14 “Raphael confides”, there’s a line said by Raphael “That’s why I abhor the revolution! It calls black white and distorts everything.” It shows how disturbed he was by the revolution. Overall, I really liked the story. Keep it up!
Writing style (14/15)
You’ve a way of writing. There weren’t any grammatical mistakes, at least I haven’t seen any. Your writing style is really nice and actually matches the 18th century era. I was a bit confused whilst reading some paragraphs but overall your writing skills are eye catching.
Dialogue (9/10)
The whole story is not filled with dialogues. It was mostly paragraph oriented which is not a bad thing because there were some dialogues which I found powerful.
Setting (10/10)
Perfect, in every sense. The setting and surroundings of the story was purely historical. The scenes and the revolution period have been described so beautifully. I love it.
Emotional impact (9.5/10)
I could definitely relate with Edith and Andre’s story. I’m sure there is going to be a sequel as Fiona’s story is still left and I’m sure the author will reveal the truth behind Andre’s mysterious character. Reading, Edith and Andre’s story was exciting but I didn’t get the same excitement while reading Fiona’s little journey. It was a bit confusing for me. But still, keep writing!
