Review:

Title (3.5/5)

The title is unique and powerful. It holds an extreme level of power and definitely relates with the genre but it's too big. You can just keep โ€œKayadhu Kalyaanโ€ but again it's your choice.

Cover (5/5)

It's quite beautiful. I love the designs and the fonts. The title on the cover can be seen properly and overall, it'll definitely attract readers to read the book.

Description/Prologue (5/5)

The blurb is up to the point and I really liked your writing style. As the book is mythological fiction; you've provided the description in that style only. The grammar/vocabulary used in both the preface and blurb is excellent. In the preface, you've only mentioned about the demon king Hiranyakashipu and it did make the starting of the book more intriguing as his character is intimidating and his journey of hating Lord Vishnu is commendable too.

First chapter (4.5/5)

This is my first time reading a mythological book and this book really didn't disappoint me. I really like the dynamics and description mentioned in the first chapter about the world of serpents. Jhamba, the king of serpents was also introduced in this chapter and his character is soul-worthy that I was mesmerized with the images as well as the description shown in the first chapter.

Character development (9/10)

You've described the characters really nicely. Since the beginning of the story till the chapter; many characters have been introduced. The most intriguing character was the demon king. Every character has its ups and downs especially Kayadhu, her character is very strong. But it will be more appealing if you describe them in a simpler way. It'll be easy for the readers to read and understand the mythological characters.

Plot (9/10)

In simpler ways, I liked what I read. Like I've already mentioned, this is my first time reading mythology. As I'm aware of most of the characters in this book, I really enjoyed the plot. It's ofcourse unrealistic world but some of the lords mentioned in this book are real. Like the worshiping of Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Narada have been explained so purely. Coming to the real plot, Kayadhu marrying a demon king (a king who wants to capture the three worlds) and being a queen of demons is something beyond my imagination. It's a very unique and interesting plot. Usually, these mythology books do not look that appealing whilst reading but I really like the book. Keep writing!

Writing style (14/15)

I'm amazed with the writing style. It's perfect and your writing has an ability to grab the reader's attention. A bit of suggestion, although your writing styles are great, your vocabulary/use of words is too high level. It can create difficulty for those who are not aware of high vocabulary.

Dialogue (9/10)

There weren't many dialogues but the few dialogues I've encountered were really powerful. There were repetition of a few words here and there, just that.

Setting (10/10)

The setting was perfect. I felt like I was transported to heaven or something, surrounded by lords, kings and queens. Overall, I love how you've described every scene.

Emotional impact (8/10)

I wasn't really connected with the story emotionally but I was connected mentally like I'm stuck in another world. The story was nice and I would love to read further and I love the experience of reading mythological fiction.

Reviewer opinion (15/15)

Hello, thank you for choosing Emerald Veils. First of all, I really liked the book and enjoyed reading it. It was my first experience reading something like this and I didn't regret reading it. I'll definitely read the whole book so I can see the potential and all the best for the future! Keep writing.
