POST-WAR

our minds can be dangerous.
for the longest time,
i thought it was my enemy.
i suppose throughout all of this
i have learned that it is not.

what i'm trying to say is that
we cannot let our fear and darkness win.
we must fight for those we love and cherish.
we must find beauty within the darkness.
have a look around for peace inside chaos,
strength in the midst of difficult times.
joy even after horrendous grief.
so, yes, our minds can be dangerous,
but do not for a second think it is not
beautiful.
