CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN:
( daniel's wedding )
▂✫⌒*・゚
THE ABSOLUTE QUIETNESS ALERTED Spencer of her current goal while she aimlessly tiptoed down the stairs. Her assigned partner offered to check the place upstairs in order to profile any evidence left behind. Spencer does not understand, however. Their help was reported recently after four murders of older muggleborns occurred. She questions why there are people still stuck trying to continue what Voldemort had wanted to do. Did they not understand that they have lost? Spencer shakes her head lightly before she glances around in the spot where the wizard had been cursed.
"Finite incantatem," Spencer whispers, her wand holding out up front. Almost instantly, the quietness that lingered on the room vanished and a clear hearing of birds chirping made through the way of the windows. Her lips twist into a frown while she takes note of that notion. Silence, she repeats in her head. A planned attack then...
Her eyes gazes toward the top of the stairs and she tilts her head curiously. "If I am standing here, why is my wand in the floor? Am I too slow? Or, if I cannot hear right... no, if that is the case, then why was I stretching out for the wand," Spencer murmurs to herself in question. She glares harshly at the area on top before her gaze softens in realization. "I could hear when I was by the stairs, but going down is where the barrier stood. If I was down here, then I could not hear someone approaching me. But if I landed with the front of my body against the floor, then I was cursed by behind where the stairs are."
"No," Spencer denies her own statement. "This does not make sense. Why cast a Silencing Charm if the victim finds out they are being attacked? I can see their face but no one can hear me...? Possibly—" she stops mid-sentence and points her wand by the door across from her. Spencer heads toward there and looks toward the floor and the wall. "Two people working together? One hiding in the silence and the other casting the spell?"
"Montague," an accented voice makes her lose focus and she turns around to glance toward her partner. It is a young man (older than her by seven years) with a simple suit worn to signify their profession. His name is Agustin Castaño having originated from Spain, but moved closer to Scotland as a kid. His wizard skills are impressive and the two of them work well together. They are not exactly 'official' partners, but those that are part of the Academy are established a mission a few times to see how they work with others, and if they are able to provide help on the current assignment. "Find anything?"
Spencer purses her lips before suggesting, "Have we thought about there being two attackers rather than one?"
Agustin glances at her in surprise and nods his head at her in his way of motioning to elaborate further. Spencer clears her throat and adds, "We know it is difficult trying to find any evidence when the murder weapon is simply the curse. However, based on how the body was found... they were attacked from behind, but this place had the Silencing Charm around it—"
"Silencing Charm? Was there also charms in the other crime scenes?" Agustin cuts in, his eyebrows furrowing in thought.
Spencer tilts her head to the side. "We'll have to check that to see if it is a recurring action they do. You know... it's odd. Reminds me of what I read about—" Spencer tells him, before she cuts herself off and her eyes widen. Agustin glances at her in confusion.
"It's always reading with you, isn't it?" He questions without a hint of surprise in his voice. Realizing what he just did (again), he purses his lips and lets out, "I apologize. Go on."
She smiles kindly at him in recognition. "Ever heard of the Hitmen Twins?" Spencer questions, her expression turning back to a serious one.
"Not particularly," he admits, his face only turning more confused.
"The Castlenor twins consist of Adrina and Axel. They were part of the Magical Law Enforcement group for the Ministry. Leaders of the Hitmen while it was taken over by Death Eaters," Spencer informs. She stares pass him in a dream state remembering the time that she drank Polyjuice Potion in order to turn into one of of the twins. Now that she thinks about it... they have not been found either. Since they were never official Death Eaters, the Aurors did not exactly have a list out for them. However, they are still dark wizards. "A dangerous duo. Narcissists, cruel, impatient, and most specifically, they detach themselves from their victim's humanity."
Agustin frowns deeply. "Those are horrible combinations for them to have. Doing it as a job is different, but acting on their own..."
"They start becoming disorganized making it more likely for them to go after more," Spencer finishes. She looks at Agustin and mimics his frown. "I hope it is not them as they were always the best ones, but I have to admit... it's starting to make sense."
"Should we tell your brother of the findings and guesses?" Agustin questions.
"It does not hurt even if we are wrong," Spencer sighs.

YOU MAY BE WONDERING: Did Spencer Montague already become a wizard profiler? Not exactly. She did indeed take the opportunity of going into the program where they train and study to become one. In doing so, it allowed her to take parts in tasks beside actual agents (and yes, it did include having her brother being a sort of mentor). While it certainly has been interesting doing this work, it was not exactly a huge thrill which is alright since she was not expecting pure happiness or anything. There are times where the tasks are scary considering it is their job to profile the wanted people as well as the crime scene. Technically, they have to catch them which certainly makes their life interesting.
So, while she is not an official wizard profiler (yet), Spencer has taken roles of going to missions and training with real-life cases. The one with the twins was one of the first that she did with Agustin and their profile had been correct. After telling Daniel of what they may have connected, the two were taken to a different crime scene that the twins had committed and came up with the same results (a tad more organizer, but still enough evidence to have Daniel announce it to the official team).
Spencer and Agustin did not go on the mission to catch them, but it was not long before they were caught through the middle of their next attack. While her brother had gone off with his own team, Agustin ended up having a conversation with her.
"Will you be called Agent Montague as well?" He questions with interest, his head tilted to the side in curiosity.
She parts her lips in surprise barely taking the time to realize that once they are given the actual job... see, it would not be a problem, but Daniel has provoked his last name once more. It is now Daniel Montague once again. She remembers how he told her that he would always cherish the name 'Gray', but considering he now has a relationship with Charlie— basically, he figured it was better to change it back to honor Spencer and to not make anything awkward between the Weasley and him.
"Shit," Spencer murmurs. "It's not bad, but if we ever work together..."
"Just tell them to call you by your first name," Agustin points out. Then, he smirks at her knowingly. "Or get married to your boyfriend already. What was it? Zabini?"
Spencer rolls her eyes, but does not say anything against it. Instead, she shrugs her shoulders and replies, "Charlie and Daniel would kill me if I get married before them."
"True," he agrees. The two of them work in silence as they look at the topics that their previous lesson had done. It involved the idea of how trauma in childhood can have an affect on people. The two of them wear a similar look on their face having realized that certain memories that they individually had could have had a different impact to what they are now.
It was not until another person entered in and announced, "Agustin, your mother is here." Spencer continued reading, her eyes glancing up for a few seconds to notice Agustin's mother enter the room with a plate for lunch. She raises her eyebrows curiously, taking a quick look at Agustin's shocked face before he stands. Immediately, her eyes fall toward the clock and takes notice that they will have to head toward the main office where her brother and a few other agents will be with the Castlenor twins. Apparently, Spencer and Agustin (with a few other profilers-in-training) will have to accompany them to Azkaban. Plus, Daniel had also said he would need to talk to her.
Spencer focuses on cleaning her area, leaving out the main reading as she waits for the time to get there. Meanwhile, Agustin had stood up and walked toward his mother warily.
"Hello, Ma," he greets awkwardly. "What are you doing here?"
"I just came to visit and bring you lunch," his mother excuses easily. "Is it bad that I wanted to see you, Ti—?"
Instantly, Agustin flinches. "Mother," he cuts off instantly and with a sharp tone.
His mother pays him no attention and glances toward Spencer. The former Ravenclaw stood up from her seat and looked at the two of them curiously. Spencer frowned slightly noticing the discomfort in her friend's posture, but she plays nicely toward the woman not knowing exactly what was going on.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Castaño. My name is Spencer Montague, a classmate and friend of your son," Spencer introduces herself, holding out her hand politely. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion as she watches his mother stiff. Slowly, she puts her hand back in her side figuring the women would not shake her hand.
"That is not—"
"Mother, excuse my partner and I," Agustin instantly cuts off. Spencer does not fail to notice the obvious coldness and wavering in his tone. "We must head to our authorities. Thank you for lunch."
By the tone of his voice, it is clear that it is the end of their conversation. Noticing the sudden change of environment between them, Spencer nods in agreement at his words and walks beside Agustin as they leave the room in what feels like a run. She stays quiet in thought as she figures out what just occurred. Either way, she does not enjoy the way her friend had instantly quietened up. It was unlike him. Spencer glances at him in concern and gives him a small smile. He looks away instantly showing his embarrassment.
Although Spencer did not enjoy what just occurred, she knows that Agustin does not want any questioning nor a change of emotion between them. She does not see why there should be a change of emotion, however. Either way, she respects his wishes. It does not take long for the two to reach their destination, and Spencer brightens at the sight of Daniel standing beside one of his coworkers and a few other higher authorities.
"Ah, Miss Montague, we heard it was with your contribution that the Hitmen Twins were caught," Everest Cresswood, the one that had first contacted her, compliments kindly.
Spencer nods back in appreciation and motions to Agustin. "Yes, Mr. Castaño also helped with it. It is safe to announce that him and I work well together," she agrees professionally. And it was true! While she brought up the twins when they were investigating, Agustin had provided well on his part with looking toward the area and in their study of people. In fact, Spencer has noticed that he works well in pointing out the types of personality and how it affects a person.
Agustin suddenly smiles at her words. Agent Cresswood nodded in understanding and gives the two a look. "Of course. Mr. Castaño, if you do not mind, I'd like you to accompany me inside the questioning with the twins. I have heard that you tend to have great communication skills in the area of questioning and finding out information," the older man requests.
Her friend widens his eyes in surprise before nodding surely. "Yes, of course, sir," Agustin agrees immediately.
Agent Cresswood looks back at Spencer. "Miss Montague, you will be attending with us to Azkaban with the rest of the chosen students, but Agent Montague will head elsewhere. He requests your presence with him for a personal matter which you are allowed to decline or accept," he tells her calmly.
Spencer blinks confusingly, her eyes passing by the man to look at her brother. Daniel is already staring at her with a conflicted expression before he gives her a small smile. Knowing her brother will be talking to her with it, she glances back at Agent Cresswood and nods. "Understood, sir."
When the older man moves to the side to talk to the rest of the trainees, Spencer turns to Agustin. "For a second, I thought I was in trouble," she hums, scrunching up her nose in displeasure.
Agustin chuckles lightly. "I don't see why you would have been..." he points out easily. There is a moment where he looks at her closely before a smile reaches his lips when he seems to find whatever it was he was looking for. "See you Monday?"
"If the Weasley twins don't kill me with their next experimentation," Spencer assures. They exchanged their usual goodbyes before she makes her way toward her brother.
Daniel, who had his arms crossed patiently, uncrosses them and gives her a tight-lipped smile. Spencer narrows her eyes unsurely and waits for him to tell her what is happening. Her brother pauses for a few seconds before he tells her, "I will be visiting Glorious,"
"What?" Spencer gasps immediately. The two of them have not seen their mother since she was taken to Azkaban once the Battle of Hogwarts finished. It has been ages since then. She knew her mother was still breathing, but she never once wanted to go and visit her. Spencer did not want to. She was not ready.
Except it has been four years. Four years since Voldemort was defeated. Four years of being in the academy and gaining experience of how to be a wizard profiler. Technically, this is considered her second to last year before she takes the exam that helps guides the authorities whether or not she is ready to become an official one.
"I need to do this," Daniel whispers. Spencer takes the time to notice his vulnerability. She glances at him curiously before letting out a small nod. "Okay," she murmurs.
"Spencer," Daniel calls out quietly. "If you truly don't want to—"
"No," Spencer denies. "If I don't go now, I never will. She ruined us, Daniel. She ruined us."

AZKABAN DESTROYS HAPPINESS EASILY. Spencer knew that since the start, but she never truly stepped into that place until now. Cold air brushed against her skin and her soul had felt like it was taken out of her body already. She stepped closer toward her brother and crossed her arms around her chest in comfort. At this moment, all she wants to do is go home and wrap herself around her boyfriend's arms. Being around him always made her feel safe.
She ignores the constant shouts from the inmates and kept her eyes forward. Spencer was going to see her mother. She shudders at the thought before stopping behind Daniel when he stands in front of locked door.
"Are you ready?" He questions his sister. Spencer shakes her head and scoffs. Never, she thinks to herself. She finally found a family that loves her... why would she want to be ready to face her biological mother?
When the door opened, Spencer found herself biting back her tongue as she took a step inside after Daniel did. Sitting in a stone-cold chair is a familiar figure with her hair frizzy that it almost reminds her of Aunt Mordra. Her hands are shackled on the side of the table and there is a blank look on her face equally dirty and sharp. Their mother's dark eyes gazes upwards and she tilts her head curiously when spotting her children.
"Well, well," Glorious Montague taunts in a mysterious tone. "It has been awhile, hasn't it?"
"Shut up," Daniel demands instantly. He motions for the guards to step outside for privacy. They do as they are told and close the door once they are outside. Daniel grabs Spencer's hand and gently pulls her to the seat across from their mother. Unlike the expression he wore before, her brother was now hiding any fear or worry. Only a serious and empty-of-emotion expression is visible. "I do the talking. You listen."
"Aren't I—?"
"Silencio," Daniel interrupts coldly. Their mother's voice fades within the air. Spencer forces herself not to smirk on triumphed at the shocked expression on her mother's face. "You speak only when I let you, understood? Good."
There was no chance for their mother to speak and she only glares at them in response. Spencer stares down at the table before slowly glancing up at her. Her mother was already staring intensely. While Daniel inherited more of their father's looks, Spencer had received her mother's. Their jaw was similar's as it was to her aunt. Their nose shape even more so. It almost seemed like if she was staring at a mirror of an unknown future.
"Stop looking at her," Daniel finally speaks after a long moment of silence. Glorious takes her eyes away from Spencer and turns toward her son in amusement. "You do not get that privilege."
Their mother smirks slightly and takes a look at herself. Daniel clenches his jaw and points a finger at her, "No. Don't call yourself a mother when you were anything but. Spencer was not raised by you. As far as I know, she raised herself."
Glorious motions for Daniel to repute the spell casted on her. Knowing at one point he will have to, Daniel sighs before taking it off. Instantly, Glorious lets out an elegant sigh as if she bears all the answers to the world.
"Not technically," Glorious corrects. "Mordra spent ages watching over Morgana and Spencer until her arrest. Even Morgana watched over you, didn't she?"
Spencer glares at her mother. "She was only one year older than me," she accused. "You're unfathomably wicked and cruel."
"Oh, Spencer," Glorious hums. "Tell me... how different are you from us? What was your reaction to Mordra dying? Wasn't it Daniel that tortured her to death?"
The youngest Montague appears taken back by the question. Her eyes linger toward the scar that has faded, but still reads 'I must be like Morgana'. How different was she truly from her own family's dark past? She had been glad to see that her aunt had died. Daniel had become a tad paler from their mother's words before he snaps out of it and glares at her.
"Don't try twisting our minds. It won't work," Daniel easily contradicts. Spencer furrows her brows in realization before trying to do the same as him. They are profilers— they have studied people like their mother. Letting her get to them is a way for her to receive entertainment and still manipulate them even within the walls of Azkaban.
"My dear son," Glorious murmurs gently. She heads to raise her hand toward his face, but the shackles stop her from doing so. Her eyes fall toward them in distaste before neatly placing her hands down at the table. "It has been long without seeing you."
Daniel rolls his eyes. "Perhaps not long enough," he chides in response. "I did not come here to catch up with you, Glorious."
"A shame," their mother sighs dramatically. "Then again, you two have always brought shame to the family. You could have been our perfect son, but then you decided to go against us."
"You killed my girlfriend," Daniel snaps. "Your hand may not have been touching the wand, but you knew. You watched it happened and defended her."
"You would have gotten over it," Glorious hisses back.
"I was in love with her!" Daniel argues, slamming his hand toward the table. Spencer jumps in surprise and silently watches as her brother fumes while their mother raises an eyebrow.
Glorious leans closer and smiles. "Is that a 'was' I hear? What did I tell you, Daniel, she was nothing but a disgusting muggle," their mother sneers. "Surely, you have learned that by now—"
"I'm marrying Charlie Weasley in a month from today," Daniel reveals, bringing in the bomb that would surely shock their mother. Glorious's smile is wiped away from her face and a look of fury grows. "You prefer that, mother? Acknowledging that I am finally marrying a pureblood who happens to be a Weasley? Or that I am not straight? I mean seriously... which one shocks you more?"
"You're only saying that to anger me," Glorious snarls.
Spencer lets out a small chuckle. "We don't need much to anger you," she remarks. "We did not come here to chat."
Daniel nods in agreement. "See, mother, you'll be rotting in prison, while I will be married soon enough. Spencer has a family which does not include you in it. And you? You will be forgotten," he announces clearly. A pleasant smirk reaches his lips. "And our family's dark past will vanished before your eyes."
"You cannot do that. I forbid you—"
"You forbid us?" Spencer scoffs. "Since when did we listen to you? Take a guess who owns the Montague Manor now, mother. Do you think Graham and his parents will step up? They have less authority than I and I am merely a student at the WPA."
"Unfortunately, to you at least, what we have spoken is the truth," Daniel proclaims to the imprisoned woman. "We just came to tell you that without you in our lives, we have been our happiest. You have led us to an actual family. Thank you."
He smiles widely at the last two words knowing that Glorious would only go insane with them. Spencer hurriedly stands up as Glorious snatches her hand up trying to break the shackles to hold onto their arms. Daniel motions for her to head toward the door, glaring at his mother intensely.
"Until never, Glorious," Spencer calls out, not even turning back to stare at her one last time. She exits the cell and instantly lets out a sigh of relief. Her brother speaks a few more words before he exits afterwards.
"Thank fuck," Daniel laughs quietly. Spencer grins at him in acknowledgement and he returns it. "Want to help me prepare the final arrangements for the wedding?"

RICKY, THEODORE, AND HERMIONE officially graduated Hogwarts at age nineteen. Afterwards, Ricky became an assistant to Professor Flitwick (considering he still wants to become a Charm professor but he is letting Professor Flitwick do his job first). Hermione went off to work at the Ministry (which for the first time since Kingsley took charge is when Spencer began liking it). Theodore has actually found a part in looking for any families that had been involved with Voldemort— specifically if they (meaning Death Eaters or elder victims) have any children that are young and in a need of help after what happened to their parents. Ron went into becoming an Auror. Harry technically is one as well, but as soon as he managed to capture more Death Eaters, he decided to focus on becoming a professor.
Ginny was accepted into a Quidditch team (the Holyhead Harpies) while Luna had went on to become a wizarding naturalist (aka a Mazoologist). Neville started working at Hogwarts as well but he chose to work as a Herbology professor after Professor Sprout retired. Fred and George are still doing an excellent job with their joke shop. Then, of course, Blaise had gotten into a mediwizard school and is still attending while doing some research on how to help others like how he had (barely) saved Fred's life.
All of them always meet up whenever they can. However, it was August 25th, 2002 when Charlie Weasley and Daniel Montague would finally get married after being about five years together.
"Hurry up, George!" Molly Weasley is running across the Burrow, surrounded by her whole children and three vases of flowers on her hands.
"I'm not George, I'm Fred!"
Spencer steps inside the Burrow for what feels like is the first time (it is not but she is being dramatic) with Blaise right beside her. Her eyebrows raises in amusement as she spots the twins purposefully playing a trick among their mother. Upon noticing her, the two of them sprint toward her and tackle her in a hug.
"Our favorite Ravenclaw!" The two of them exclaim in unison. Spencer rolls her eyes and presses a kiss on their cheek.
"You two are losers, why do I love you guys?" She questions in exasperation. George smiles widely and sighs in adoration.
"It's hard not to," George replies, giving her a short hug and letting Fred give her one as well. The two redheads give Blaise a handshake in acknowledgement before welcoming them in. This time they had no prank seeing as they did not want to ruin the great look on Blaise with the wedding occurring. Fred bows gently toward her. "Beautiful as always, dearest Spence. Blaise is an exquisite man. I would have want to marry him too since he saved my life," Fred teases gently.
Spencer smiles at him with a shake of her head. "I'd appreciate if you don't steal my boyfriend from me," she pats his chest warmly before stepping to the side. The young Montague reunites with the remainder of her friends. It was so... different. Beautiful. If someone told her at the age of fourteen that in a few years she would be happy, she would be questioning their sanity. She had been miserable with Morgana always trying to ruin her life, her parents practically abusing her emotionally. The only good thing in her life had been Ricky. Now?
Now she has way more than him— and he is still her number one. Beautifully enough, Theodore and Ricky has actually gotten engaged. Not at the wedding, of course, but before that and so Spencer knew she had to prepare for that one as well later on. She knew it was a matter of time before Ginny and Harry get married along with Hermione and Ron.
The battle that took place long ago still haunts her at times. However, she has grown to live with them and become someone better. Someone she longed to be for the longest time and now has achieved through it. Sure, she is still trying to become an agent like her brother, but it has been a pleasant ride that she will almost be completing.
When her brother and Charlie pronounced the words 'I do', it lifted up her shoulders that Daniel truly had the chance to find someone else to love. It is what he deserves after years of only having one lover. Charlie Weasley has become his final love and he is someone he loves better than anyone. Spencer could not be any happier for him.
And now she stands in front of the Weasleys, Lovegoods, Adams, Zabinis, every person Daniel or Charlie has come to meet and adore. Spencer shifts awkwardly around the podium, her long blue evening gown reaching to the ground with a slight opening to where her belly button is. It emphasizes on her legs with the thigh-high left leg slit streaming down. Blaise had described her as looking like an even better Cinderella than he can ever imagine— though, she knows that is just him trying to devour her in compliments.
"My name is Spencer Montague," Spencer starts off slow, glancing around the room with curiosity and a tiny smile. "I'm the sister of the brilliant idiot whose name is Daniel. Don't get it confused with Charlie, he may be qualified to be described all the same, but he is slightly cool cause he hangs out with dragons."
The crowd laugh in amusement while Charlie nods in agreement, giving a smug smile toward her brother.
"I didn't know I had a brother until I was almost sixteen... Before I had met him, I felt like my life was completely horrible," Spencer reveals, and her gaze falls toward the ground. "Truth be told, I think my only happiness had come from my best friend, Ricky Adams. To me, he was a gift beyond anything I deserved. When I met Daniel... I had just ran away from the Montague Manor. I didn't expect to meet him and I definitely had trouble believing it, but at the end I suppose I gave him a chance."
"He did not disappoint at all. I remember this one time he told me that our minds were amazing. At that time, I did not agree with him because it had done nothing but made me suffer," Spencer continues, growing a slight smile on her face. "I've come to realize that our minds can be dangerous. It is what makes us... us. For the longest time, I thought it was my enemy. I suppose throughout all of this I have learned that it is not. Not everyone has the same ability we do, but it doesn't make your mind any less scary. Sometimes, it knows more than we do. Which is odd, and yet, somehow understandable."
She pauses for a few seconds trying to wrap it all up together. "What I'm trying to say is that we cannot let our fear and darkness win. We must fight for those we love and cherish. We must find beauty in darkness. Have a look around for peace inside chaos, strength in the midst of hard times. Joy even after horrendous grief. So, yes, our minds can be dangerous, but do not for a second think it is not beautiful."
"That is what Daniel taught me and what I have learned over the years. Daniel... I'm so proud of you. When you told me about Estela Gray, you mentioned her as a reference to her being your first and only love," Spencer rubs her eyes gently knowing tears were falling down because of how emotional she has gotten. "And now you're here absolutely smitten with a dragon-lover and have an actual chance of being a family with him— though, you might want to foul proof the cottage to make sure that the small dragons Charlie will be taking with him doesn't burn the house down."
Just as it appear that she is finished, Spencer raises her hand to make them wait for a couple more seconds. "And Charlie, you are one of the most genuine person I have met. Thank you for letting my brother take his time with you. For falling in love with him all the same. Let me just add that I am also glad the two of you are married so in some way I'm closer to the Weasleys now— the lot of you showed me the meaning of family love."
Fred and George whoop loudly from the side before being shushed down by Molly (who continues to dab her eyes with a neckerchief that belongs to Arthur).
"Thank you," Spencer finishes off softly, raising her glass of firewhiskey but not daring to put it on her lips. The audience members clap loudly while she carefully gets down from the stage. Her brother and Charlie had stood up to give her a hug, both of them heart-felt with her words.
It does not take long for the actual dancing to start reminding them of Fleur and Bill's wedding. Blaise and Spencer began dancing together not too long after.
His hands are placed firmly on her waist while she rests her head on his chest. They follow the rhythm of the music while staying close to one another. It was so odd to Spencer. She never would have thought that the first person she would genuinely like would become possibly one of the most important figures in her life. She was fifteen when she began having a crush on him. Fifteen... and Spencer was one to believe that she would either not fall in love or simply not end up with the first boy she actually dates.
Turns out, she was wrong. Spencer does not mind being wrong either way. Some things are just meant for the better.
"You're not going to run off on me this time, right, Cinderella?" Blaise questions at one point, his head resting on hers. Spencer lets out a small laugh and shakes her head. She lifts up her head from his chest and gazes up at him.
"Never again," she promises. Fleur and Bill's wedding had been amazing up to the point where the two had to be separated. It almost broke her heart how close their hands were about to be before they were just... separated. Thankfully, the two truly did find themselves back together. It took time, but completely worth it with Voldemort now an empty memory and well, Spencer is with Blaise. "Thank you for waiting," she murmurs.
Blaise gives her a grin. "You can tell me to wait a hundred years more, and I would," he tells her quietly. "Albeit, it will make me suffer, but if I get a chance to spend the rest of my life with you..."
Her breath out of a sudden stops functioning as she realizes what his words mean. Spencer licks her lips nervously, stammering, "You want to— you want to spend the rest of your life with me?"
Her boyfriend stares at her oddly. "Why wouldn't I? Do you not want to...?"
"I do!" Spencer is quick to cut him off, pursing her lips shut right after when she realizes it had been louder than intended. Blaise gives out a small chuckle and waits for her to elaborate. "I'll love to, yeah. Definitely. Merlin, why am I nervous?"
Blaise smirks amusingly. "We've been dating for six years," he points out the obvious. Six years... in theory it sounds like a whole lot, but they are just twenty-one years old. Spencer knows one day she will want to get married and have a kid with him (so she may have already imagined her future with Blaise!). Of course, the kid would come after she makes a title for herself: Agent Undetermined— since Daniel is sticking with Montague, she is still trying to see if she can have another name to be referred to.
"Maybe, but you're still the handsomest man I've met," Spencer replies coolly. She matches his smirk as his cheeks get warmer. Knowing exactly how to get him even more flustered, she grabs the collar of his shirt and pulls him in for a kiss. Blaise responds quick, his hand trailing up her back to pull her closer. She tugs onto his lips, moving in deeper before pulling away. Blaise is left trying to lean in for more before he realizes what she had done.
"You are the worst person," Blaise groans. Spencer hums in agreement and places her hand on his cheeks to feel exactly how warm he had gotten in a short amount of time. She moves his face around gently before placing a quick peck on the side of his lip. Blaise closes his eyes in comfort while he murmurs, "You're not supposed to agree with me, idiot."
Spencer shrugs and returns her head back on his chest. "Yeah, well, I don't think my brother will enjoy watching me make out with you. Or Harry, or Ron, or your mother, or Ricky, or Theodore, or George and Fred, or Teddy—"
"Everyone in this room then," Blaise steps in with a mischievous smile. Spencer fails to notice and nods her head. Just as she starts to repeat what he said, he begins pulling her away from the dance floor. "Then perhaps another place will suffice," he whispers in her ear, his voice completely low that it gives her chills. Spencer raises her eyebrows in surprise, but before any of them can get far, Remus appears in front of them with Teddy in his arms.
"Oh, Spencer, Blaise! Would you mind taking care of Teddy while I go take Tonks out to...?" Remus questions politely, noticing that the two were going out of the dancing area but not knowing where. Spencer forces herself not to laugh as she nods in agreement while Blaise simply purses his lips. Remus gives them a thankful look before grabbing his wife out to be with him. Spencer carries Teddy on the side and grins immediately when he starts showing off his colors.
"Who's the cutest kid?" Spencer gushes, rubbing her nose against Teddy's the moment she bends down to his size. Teddy points to himself excitedly, rubbing his hands into his clothes. "I want to dance too!"
Blaise bends down at the same height as them and grins at the young kid. "Yeah? Do you want to with my girl or dance with me?"
"That's my Nina!" Teddy exclaims as his way to correcting what Spencer means to him. Spencer makes a face of adoration. He is calling her 'Nina' because it is a shorter way of saying 'madrina' which is godmother in Italian and Spanish. However, Blaise has taught him some words and Teddy usually calls Spencer and Harry, 'Nina' and 'Nino'. "But I want to dance with both!"
Her boyfriend makes a face of surprise before he shrugs and lifts up the young boy. Shortly, they begin dancing with Teddy right in the middle of them. He was awfully tall and Spencer knew it came from the fact that Remus is tall himself. Spencer let herself watch quietly as Teddy wraps his arms around Blaise and his eyes slowly begin closing. A small smile reaches her lips at the sight. Blaise catches her eyes and raises an eyebrow.
"What?" He questions softly while making sure his voice would not wake up Teddy. Spencer shakes her head keeping the same smile on her face.
"Nothing," she denies quietly.
Blaise glances at her curiously before nodding his head in acceptance. "I want to take you to Italy," he admits, staring down onto her eyes. Spencer takes her time to scan his face before she grins.
"Yeah?"
"Definitely. I have a whole date planned," Blaise starts off in a whisper. "There's a beautiful vacation home we have there. It is brilliant. One of the best views there is... I want to show you if you'll allow me to."
Spencer loves his dates. There are everything she can ever ask for. Sometimes he takes her out to see the stars over a rooftop, or they would go to this muggle amusement park. He would take her to a bookstore and just like before... the two of them would pick a book for the other to read. Blaise continued doing those commentaries on them, and Spencer tries doing the same but they are nothing like his words or his drawings. Blaise loves her in a way that makes her believe she is worth fighting for.
And it is that reason she promises him that the two would head to Italy where unbeknownst to her (and only her), Spencer Montague's life would lead to just how she imagined it.
