As the soft strumming of the acoustic guitar fills the studio, Jiah's voice flows effortlessly through the mic, her rich and velvety tone adding a unique color to Sour Grapes. The song, a dreamy yet melancholic R&B track from LE SSERAFIM's debut album, takes on a fresh, raw feel in this live acoustic rendition.

Jiah's eyes remain closed as she sings the opening verse, fully immersed in the music. Her voice, smooth and controlled, carries a certain warmth that captivates both the studio audience and viewers watching from home. She seamlessly transitions into the second verse, her expression softening as she sings the lyrics with delicate emotion.
As she reaches the end of the second verse, she lets her voice gently trail off before breaking into a smile. Looking up at Lee Mujin, she exhales lightly, as if relieved yet satisfied with her performance.
Lee Mujin, who had been nodding along with a pleased expression, claps his hands together. "That was amazing," he says with a bright smile.
Jiah bows slightly in gratitude before turning to the camera. "Hello, everyone! I'm LE SSERAFIM's Hwang Jiah." Her voice is cheerful, but there's still a lingering hint of excitement from performing live.
Lee Mujin chuckles. "So, the song you just performed was Sour Grapes, a Bside from your debut album, right?"
Jiah nods, adjusting the mic in front of her slightly. "Yes, that's right. It's one of my favorite tracks from our debut album, but believe it or not, this is my first time performing it live like this!" She turns to Lee Mujin with a playful glint in her eyes. "How did you like my performance?"
Lee Mujin grins. "I really enjoyed it. The song itself has such a unique feel it's slow-paced but still follows the current music trends really well. I also liked how you made it your own with your vocal strength. You have a very warm and stable tone, and it suited the song beautifully."
Jiah beams at the compliment, bowing slightly. "Thank you so much! I was a little nervous since it's my first time performing this song in this kind of setting, but I'm glad you liked it."
Lee Mujin nods. "You really don't have to be nervous. I think you delivered it wonderfully."
Jiah chuckles. "I'll take your word for it!"
The two share a lighthearted laugh before Lee Mujin leans forward slightly. "So, Sour Grapes is one of the songs from your debut album. Can you tell us a bit about what kind of song it is and why you like it?"
Jiah nods, taking a moment to think before answering. "Of course! Sour Grapes is a song that talks about the complicated feelings of love it's about feeling hesitant and unsure, like a love that seems sweet but might actually be bitter, just like a sour grape." She smiles. "It has this dreamy, almost hypnotic feel to it, which makes it really fun to sing. I personally love how the melody flows so smoothly."
Lee Mujin tilts his head in interest. "That's a great way to put it. It does have that dreamy, mesmerizing quality to it."
Jiah grins. "Exactly! And I think that's why it's a song that really stands out from the rest of our debut album. Each track has its own color, but Sour Grapes feels the most... laid-back? It's not as intense as some of our other songs, but it still leaves a strong impression."
Lee Mujin nods in agreement. "I can see that. And honestly, I think it fits your voice really well."
Jiah laughs softly. "I'll take that as a huge compliment, thank you!"
Lee Mujin chuckles. "It is a compliment!"
Jiah playfully claps her hands together. "I'll tell my members that I got praised by Lee Mujin sunbaenim!"
The two share another light laugh, the atmosphere remaining warm and relaxed.
Lee Mujin then glances at the guitar beside him before looking back at Jiah. "So, since we're talking about your debut album, I'm curious do you have a favorite song from it? Maybe aside from Sour Grapes?"
Jiah's eyes light up at the question, her mind clearly running through the album's tracklist. "Ah, that's a tough one!" She taps her fingers lightly against the table in thought. "If I had to pick... I think I'd say The Great Mermaid."
Lee Mujin raises a brow. "Oh? That's an interesting choice! Why that one?"
Jiah grins. "Well, I just love the message behind it. It's a song that really embodies the confidence and strength we want to portray as LE SSERAFIM. The lyrics talk about breaking free from expectations and choosing your own path, and I think that's something really empowering."
Lee Mujin nods thoughtfully. "That's a great reason. And I suppose it also reflects LE SSERAFIM's concept as a whole, right?"
Jiah nods enthusiastically. "Exactly! From the beginning, we've wanted to show a different side of girl groups a side that's bold, confident, and fearless. The Great Mermaid really captures that essence."
Lee Mujin smiles. "I can see that. And speaking of being fearless..." He pauses for a moment before smirking. "Your group's name LE SSERAFIM is actually an anagram of 'I'm Fearless.'"
Jiah laughs. "Yes! That's something a lot of people found really cool when our group name was first revealed."
Lee Mujin chuckles. "It's definitely clever. So, do you think you're fearless?"
Jiah hums, pretending to think deeply. "Mmm... I think I'm learning to be fearless. I wouldn't say I started off that way, but with each step in my career, I feel like I'm getting closer to embodying that mindset."
Lee Mujin nods, clearly impressed with her answer. "That's a great way to put it."
Jiah smiles. "Thank you!"
Lee Mujin then glances down at his notes before looking back up at her. "Alright, I have to ask since you mentioned The Great Mermaid as one of your favorite tracks, would you be willing to sing a bit of it for us?"
Jiah's eyes widen slightly before she grins. "Of course! I'd love to!"
Lee Mujin gestures toward the mic. "Then let's hear it!"
Jiah adjusts her posture, preparing to sing. As the instrumental starts playing softly in the background, she takes a deep breath before letting her voice flow effortlessly into the opening lines of The Great Mermaid.
I'm living my life weonhaneun geon da gajil geoya

Won't give up won't give up

Don't mess with me shwipda shipeonni?

As the soft instrumental of The Great Mermaid fades, Jiah lowers the mic with a small smile, her voice still lingering in the air. The studio remains silent for a brief moment before Lee Mujin breaks into applause, his expression filled with admiration.
"Wow," he says, shaking his head slightly. "Your vocals are really something else."
Jiah laughs, bowing her head slightly. "Thank you so much!"
Lee Mujin leans back in his seat, still visibly impressed. "Seriously, your voice has such a unique quality to it. It's powerful but also controlled, and the way you delivered that song was just..." He gestures with his hands as if trying to find the right word. "Perfect."
Jiah chuckles, covering her mouth shyly. "You're too kind!"
Lee Mujin smiles before shifting the conversation. "Speaking of LE SSERAFIM, your member, Chaewon, was actually on the show about three weeks ago."
Jiah nods, her face lighting up. "Yes! I watched her episode."
Lee Mujin grins. "Then you know I have to mention this the difference in your vocal tones is incredible. You both have such distinct voices, and it's amazing how that works within the same group."
Jiah hums in agreement. "It's something we're really proud of."
Lee Mujin nods. "And it's great for a group to have such a variety of vocal tones. Listening to your album, I could tell that your producers really worked to highlight everyone's individual strengths."
Jiah smiles. "They did! They really paid attention to what suits each of us best."
Lee Mujin nods approvingly. "It definitely shows."
Lee Mujin leans forward slightly, a small smile on his face as he says, "I asked Chaewon this question before, so I feel like I should ask you as well."
Jiah nods, tilting her head in curiosity as she waits for the question.
He continues, "This is your second time debuting. How does it feel doing it again?"
Jiah's lips part slightly as she processes the question. She instinctively moves her hair behind her shoulder before finally answering, "To be honest... at first, I felt really nervous coming back into the industry." She exhales softly, her fingers absentmindedly tapping against her lap. "After IZ*ONE disbanded, I was away from the public eye for nearly a year. The only thing my fans had during that time was 'Yours' the song I released with EXO's Chanyeol sunbaenim."
Lee Mujin listens intently, nodding as she speaks. His expression is thoughtful, understanding the weight of her words.
Jiah continues, a small, almost nostalgic smile on her lips. "The industry moves so fast, and when I was preparing for debut again, I felt like a real-life rookie. So many new artists had debuted, trends had changed, and I wasn't sure if people would still remember me. I kept wondering... 'Will people still care? Will they be excited to see me again?'"
Lee Mujin hums, showing that he's fully engaged in her words. "That must have been really nerve-wracking."
She nods, laughing softly. "It was! But now that I've been active again for three weeks, I feel more relaxed. I've gotten used to the rhythm of promotions, and seeing fans supporting us makes me feel at ease." She glances at the camera with a grateful smile. "I don't feel like a rookie anymore. I feel like I've truly come back."
Lee Mujin grins at her response. "That's great to hear. And speaking of 'Yours,' I really enjoyed listening to that song."
Jiah's eyes widen slightly in surprise. "Really?"
He nods. "Yes! It's a beautiful song. The melody is gentle, and your voice suited it perfectly. I think it really showed off your vocal tone in a different way compared to your IZ*ONE songs or even LE SSERAFIM's music."
Jiah smiles shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank you so much. That means a lot coming from you."
Lee Mujin then leans back slightly in his chair. "Since we're talking about it, I think the fans would love to hear you sing it live."
Jiah lets out a small laugh, covering her mouth for a second. "Ah... this is actually the first time I'm performing it."
He raises his eyebrows in slight surprise. "Really? You've never sung it live before?"
She shakes her head. "No, never."
Lee Mujin chuckles. "Wow, then that makes this performance even more special! I'm sure you'll do great. Take your time, and whenever you're ready."
Jiah exhales softly, adjusting the mic in front of her. She places her hands on her lap, closing her eyes for a moment before nodding.
The studio falls silent, anticipation thick in the air. Even the staff members behind the cameras seem to hold their breath as they wait for her to start singing.
Finally, Jiah takes a deep breath and begins to sing.
Oh oh, neol dameun siseon (Love me, don't hurt me)
Oh, oh, nuneul gamado, yeah (Just kiss me, don't burn me)
I'll be yours, I'll be yours, baby
I'll be yours, I'll be yours, baby
As Jiah finishes singing Your, her voice lingers in the air for a brief moment before silence takes over. Then, the studio erupts into soft applause, with Lee Mujin leading the praise. He claps his hands together, nodding in approval.
"Wow," he breathes, visibly impressed. "Hearing this song live... it's just great. I could feel every emotion behind your voice. You should definitely sing this more often."
Jiah lets out a small laugh, slightly shy from the praise. "I will try to sing it more for my fans," she promises with a warm smile.
Lee Mujin adjusts his mic before leaning forward, his curiosity piqued. "So, this is your solo song. Did you have any part in making it?"
Jiah nods immediately, a proud but humble expression on her face. "Yes, the song was completely mine. I had the idea for it from the start, and obviously, I got a lot of help from Chanyeol sunbaenim, Yoongi-oppa, and a producer from BigHit." She pauses for a moment, glancing at Mujin before adding, "But a lot of the time, I was the one composing and creating the beat. They just helped add more layers to it and tweaked certain things to make it sound even better."
Mujin raises his eyebrows, impressed. "Wow, so you were really hands-on with it."
Jiah nods enthusiastically. "Yeah! I wanted to learn as much as I could. It was important to me that the song felt personal. And working with them, especially sunbaenims like Chanyeol sunbaenim and Yoongi-oppa, was an amazing learning experience. They gave me a lot of constructive criticism, which helped me develop an open mind when it comes to making music."
Mujin rests his chin on his hand, his expression thoughtful. "That's really cool. A lot of idols don't get to have that much creative input so early on. But it seems like you're really passionate about making your own music."
Jiah smiles at his words but doesn't say anything yet. Mujin narrows his eyes playfully. "Wait... does that mean you're open to releasing more music?"
Jiah lets out a small chuckle, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Ah... I'm not sure I can say this," she starts, hesitating for dramatic effect before continuing, "but I'm actually in the process of releasing another song."
Mujin's mouth falls open slightly in shock. "Really? You're already working on another song?"
Jiah nods, biting her lip to hold back a grin.
He shakes his head in amazement. "You're just full of surprises today."
Jiah laughs. "I try my best."
Mujin leans in. "Can you tell us anything about it? What kind of song is it?"
Jiah tilts her head in thought. "I'm still not sure which song I want to release," she admits. "There are a few I've been working on, but I haven't decided on the one yet."
Mujin hums in understanding. "I see. So you're exploring different styles?"
"Exactly," Jiah confirms.
He taps his fingers against the table before asking, "Do you at least have a vibe you're going for?"
Jiah's eyes brighten as she nods. "Yes! There's definitely a specific vibe I want the song to have."
Mujin raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Hmm... If you had to pick a song that captures that vibe, what would it be?"
Jiah thinks for a moment before grinning. "Actually, I have the perfect song in mind."
Mujin sits up straight, clearly interested. "Oh? Can we hear it?"
Jiah chuckles and nods. "Alright. I'll sing Tell Me You Love Me by Demi Lovato."
Mujin clasps his hands together. "That's a great choice."
Jiah takes a deep breath before closing her eyes for a brief moment. As she begins to sing, the atmosphere in the studio shifts. Her voice is powerful yet emotional, carrying the weight of the song's lyrics with ease. Mujin listens intently, his expression turning serious as he takes in her performance.
As she reaches the chorus, her voice soars effortlessly, filling the space with raw emotion. She sings with a certain intensity, as if pouring her own experiences into every word. Even the staff behind the cameras seem to be fully engrossed in her performance.
Oh, tell me you love me
I need someone on days like this, I do
On days like this
Oh, tell me you love me
I need someone
On days like this, I do
When she finishes, a brief silence follows before Mujin claps his hands together, shaking his head in amazement.
"That was incredible," he says sincerely. "Your voice fits this style so well."
Jiah exhales softly, a small but satisfied smile on her face. "Thank you."
Mujin leans back, still looking impressed. "If your new song has a vibe similar to this... I think fans are going to love it."
Jiah grins. "I hope so."
Mujin laughs. "No, I know so. You have a voice that can handle so many different genres. I'm really excited to see what you release next."
Jiah bows her head slightly in gratitude. "That means a lot. Thank you."
Mujin smiles. "Alright, now I'm even more curious about your next song... but I won't pressure you into spoiling anything."
Jiah laughs. "Thank you, I appreciate that."
Mujin nods before turning to the camera. "Everyone, make sure to keep an eye out for Jiah's next song. I have a feeling it's going to be something special."
Jiah smiles, nodding in agreement. "I'll do my best to make it worth the wait."
Lee Mujin leans back slightly, folding his hands together as he looks at Jiah. "So, with FEARLESS promotions coming to an end soon, is there something you specifically want to do?"
Jiah tilts her head in thought, her expression thoughtful as she considers the question. "Hmm... that's a good question," she muses. After a moment, her eyes light up. "Actually, Yunjin and I have been talking about this for a long time. We really want to do a duet together at some point."
Mujin nods, intrigued. "Oh? Do you two have a song in mind?"
Jiah laughs, a little shy as she admits, "It's kind of silly, but we really want to sing Space Between from Descendants. The one that Mal and Evie sing together."
Mujin's eyebrows raise in surprise before he nods in understanding. "Oh, that's actually a great choice. It's one of those songs that really carries a lot of emotion."
Jiah grins. "Exactly! That's why we picked it. I think Yunjin and I would be able to capture the emotions behind it really well. The lyrics are really touching too, and it's a song about friendship and growing apart but still staying connected."
Mujin hums in agreement. "It's a really meaningful song. And now that you mention it, I can actually imagine your voices blending together beautifully. You and Yunjin have very different vocal tones, but they'd complement each other well in a duet."
Jiah nods eagerly. "That's what we thought too! I think it would be really fun to do, and it's different from the usual performances we do as a group."
Mujin leans forward slightly. "Hearing you talk about it makes me hope that this actually happens. Maybe at a concert or a special stage?"
Jiah laughs. "I hope so too! We've been saying it for so long now that we might just have to do it."
Mujin chuckles before looking at her thoughtfully. "You know, from what I've seen so far, it seems like you have a preference for slower songs rather than upbeat ones. Would you say that's true?"
Jiah thinks about it for a moment before nodding. "I wouldn't say I'm picky when it comes to music, but when I sing, I definitely lean toward slower songs. I like songs that really let me highlight emotions, and ballads or slower songs allow me to do that in a way that feels natural."
Mujin smiles. "That's a really good way to think about it. I think it's important for a singer to know what kind of songs suit them best and play to their strengths."
Jiah nods in agreement. "Yeah! I mean, I do enjoy singing more upbeat songs too, especially when performing with my group, but when it's just me, I feel like I can really immerse myself in slower songs. They allow me to express myself in a way that feels really personal."
Mujin looks impressed. "That makes a lot of sense. You have a very expressive voice, and I think that's why people are drawn to your singing."
Jiah smiles at his words, bowing her head slightly in appreciation. "Thank you, that means a lot."
Mujin claps his hands together, a playful smile on his face. "Alright then! Since we're on the topic of songs that highlight emotions, do you have another song you'd like to sing?"
Jiah nods without hesitation. "Actually, yes! I want to sing Euphoria by Jungkook."
Mujin's eyebrows lift in surprise. "Oh? That's a great song. What made you choose it?"
Jiah laughs, covering her mouth for a second before responding. "Well, Jungkook-oppa actually told me to sing this song."
Mujin's eyes widen in amusement. "Wait, really? He told you to sing it?"
Jiah nods, still laughing. "Yeah! He said that since I have a higher vocal range, it would suit me well, and that I should try singing it one day. So I thought why not today, hopefully he won't kill me if I mess up."
Mujin grins. "Well, if Jungkook himself suggested it, then I think we have to hear it."
Jiah takes a deep breath, adjusting her posture before closing her eyes briefly. Then, she begins to sing.
The opening notes of Euphoria fill the studio as Jiah's voice rings out, clear and powerful. She starts softly, letting the melody guide her, her voice effortlessly floating over the notes. As she gets into the chorus, her tone grows stronger, carrying the song's uplifting energy while maintaining a sense of delicacy.
Jeogi meolliseo badaga deullyeo
Kkumeul geonneoseo supul neomeoro
Seonmyeonghaejineun geugoseuro ga
Take my hands now (hands now)
You are the cause of my euphoria
Mujin watches intently, his expression one of admiration. There's something captivating about the way Jiah sings-her voice isn't just technically strong; it's filled with emotion. She doesn't just sing the song; she feels it.
As she reaches the second chorus, she fully embraces the song's essence, her voice soaring with ease. She doesn't just replicate Jungkook's version she makes it her own, adding subtle inflections and emotional nuances that make her rendition unique.
When she finally reaches the last note, the studio falls silent for a second before Mujin bursts into applause.
"That was amazing," he says, shaking his head in disbelief. "You really owned that song."
Jiah exhales softly, smiling. "Thank you."
Mujin leans forward, looking genuinely impressed. "I see what Jungkook meant now. This song suits you so well. You should definitely consider performing it more often."
Jiah laughs. "Maybe I will."
Mujin grins. "You absolutely should. Your vocal tone and control were incredible. And you didn't just sing it you interpreted it in your own way. That's what makes a performance stand out."
Jiah nods, appreciative of his feedback. "That means a lot, really. I always try to make songs feel personal when I sing them."
Mujin smiles. "And it shows. You have a real gift for conveying emotions through your voice."
Jiah smiles, a little shy from the praise. "Thank you so much."
Mujin leans forward, resting his arms on the table. "Now, before we wrap things up, there's something that all guests on this show must do."
Jiah tilts her head curiously. "Oh? What is it?"
Mujin grins. "A duet."
Jiah's eyes widen, and she lets out a surprised laugh. "Really? I get to sing a duet with you?"
Mujin nods. "Of course! Every guest and I do a duet. It's tradition."
Jiah laughs, already excited. "That sounds really fun! But... what song should we sing?"
Mujin taps his chin, thinking. "Hmm... do you have any song in mind?"
Jiah hums, deep in thought. "Well, we could go for a classic... maybe Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat?"
Mujin nods. "That's a good one, but I feel like it's a little too soft. Maybe something with more power behind it?"
Jiah's eyes light up. "Ooh, what about Rewrite the Stars from The Greatest Showman?"
Mujin raises a brow, considering it. "That's a great choice too, but I feel like we should go for something that lets both of us really belt it out."
Jiah laughs. "Okay, so we need something powerful..." She thinks for a moment, then gasps. "What about Dusk Till Dawn by ZAYN and Sia?"
Mujin snaps his fingers. "That's the one. It's dramatic, emotional, and has both soft and powerful moments. It'll be perfect for our duet."
Jiah nods eagerly. "I love that song! Let's do it."
Mujin grabs his guitar and starts playing the intro, his voice coming in first.
"Not tryna be indie, not tryna be cool..."
His voice is smooth and controlled, setting the tone perfectly. Then, Jiah joins in for her part, her voice seamlessly blending with his.
"I'll hold you when things go wrong..."
As the song progresses, their voices rise, matching each other's energy effortlessly. Mujin's deep and steady vocals complement Jiah's powerful yet emotional delivery. When they hit the chorus together, the harmonization is flawless, sending chills through the studio.
"So baby, hold me close to the light..."
Jiah's voice soars during the high notes, and Mujin meets her intensity, creating a breathtaking dynamic. The balance between their voices makes the song feel even more dramatic, as if they're telling a story through their performance.
When they reach the climax of the song, both of them push their vocals to the limit, fully immersed in the emotions of the track. Jiah's ability to bring out raw emotion in her singing pairs beautifully with Mujin's rich tone, making for a truly unforgettable duet.
As the song comes to an end, the final note lingers in the air before silence falls. A moment later, Mujin lets out a satisfied sigh.
"That... was amazing."
Jiah laughs, shaking her head. "That was so fun! I feel like we were just performing at a concert."
Mujin chuckles. "Seriously, that was one of the best duets we've had on the show. You matched the energy perfectly."
Jiah beams. "Thank you! You were amazing too. Your voice suits that song so well."
Mujin nods appreciatively before setting his guitar aside. "Well, Jiah, it's been an absolute pleasure having you here today. From your solo performances to our duet, everything was just fantastic."
Jiah bows slightly in her seat. "Thank you for having me! I had such a great time."
Mujin smiles warmly. "Before we officially wrap things up, do you have anything you'd like to say to your fans?"
Jiah turns to the camera, her expression softening as she prepares to address the viewers.
"To everyone watching, thank you so much for all of your love and support. This past year has been such a whirlwind, from my debut with LE SSERAFIM to all the incredible opportunities I've been given. Being able to perform here today and share my music with you all means so much to me.
I also want to thank Mujin sunbaenim for having me on the show. Singing here today reminded me just how much I love music, and I hope you all enjoyed my performances as much as I enjoyed singing them.
Please continue to support LE SSERAFIM as we work hard to bring you even better music in the future. And... maybe you'll be hearing another song from me soon!"
She winks playfully at the camera, making Mujin laugh.
"That sounds like a hint if I've ever heard one," he teases.
Jiah giggles. "Maybe just a little."
Mujin smiles. "Well, I'm sure everyone watching is looking forward to whatever you do next. Thank you again for being here, and let's meet again in the future."
Jiah bows one last time. "Yes! I'd love that. Thank you so much."
Mujin smiles. "That was a perfect ending. Thank you so much for coming, Jiah. It was truly a pleasure having you here."
Jiah bows, beaming. "The pleasure was mine."
As the cameras begin to fade, the two exchange a few more words off-mic, laughing and chatting, ending the episode on a warm and friendly note.
