Coriolanus stood in the station looking at the white rose in his hand bottling his nerves as the train pulled up, he stood up straighter and walked past the carts trying to find Aletta as the other tributes looked at him, he turned around and saw Jessup helping her out of the cart, Aletta squeezed Jessup's bicep in thanks and turned and saw a tall blonde with curly hair and blue eyes behind her, who walked up to her slowly as Jessup stood behind her looking at Coriolanus with caution.

" Welcome to the Capitol " Coriolanus pulled the rose from behind his back and held out to Aletta, who eyed it before eyeing the blonde in front of her.

" You look like you shouldn't be here? " Aletta replied.

" Well, I shouldn't....but I'm your mentor " Coriolanus shrugged.

" a rebel? " Aletta smirked before looking at Jessup behind her and turned back to her mentor " And what does my mentor do besides bring me roses? ".

" I do my best to take care of you " Coriolanus smiled.

Suddenly there was a yell behind them causing them to look away from each other and saw a tribute was thrown to the ground as a peacekeeper yelled at her and dragged her to her feet.

" Well...good luck with that gorgeous " Aletta smirked one last time, before grabbing the rose and was pulled away by peacekeepers as Coriolanus stared at her with a dazed look on his face.

Coriolanus followed his tribute as she and the rest of the tributes were escorted onto a trailer, he watched a one of the tributes tried running and the guards quickly chased after him, Coriolanus looked at them before quickly running onto the trailer and hurried to the back as Aletta looked up at him in surprise.

Coriolanus turned around and saw all the tributes staring at him.

" Hey " Coriolanus said.

" What's wrong pretty boy? In the wrong cage? " Reaper glared.

" No.....this cage is delightful " the blonde replied.

Reaper glared and rushed at Coriolanus and slammed him against the wall behind him.

" I'm gonna kill you right now " Reaper hissed.

" He'll do it, Reaper killed a peacekeeper back in 11 " Gill stuttered.

" shut up Gill " Reaper glared at the sickly girl.

" I say we all kill him ".

" I'm in ".

" Nothing left to loose now ".

" You all got family back home?....they kill them, if you hurt him.....then you " Aletta spoke as she looked at them " Besides he's my mentor, I might need him " she shrugged. 

" How come you get a mender? " Carol asked.

" Mentor? " Coriolanus corrected " You each get one ".

" Oh, well.....I'll just trust you on that, right ".

" I'm just here to help you " Coriolanus tried reasoning.

" Why does rainbow girl here get special treatment? Huh " Carol scoffed as she bend in front of Aletta.

" You lot must not be all that memorable " Aletta shrugged causing the girl in front of her to glare as the other besides Jessup and Wovey did as well but before they could do anything the trailer jolted and began to tip upside down slowly causing them to panic, Coriolanus quickly grabbed Aletta pulled her to his chest.

Aletta, Coriolanus and the other tributes yelled as the doors opened and they slid down the trailer and into the hard ground.

" Ohh, ouch....well, we'll give them a chance to stand up and catch their breath, I'm jealous of that entrance, I'm Lucretia's Lucky Flikerman, a man who needs no introduction, you'll know me as your favourite weather man and amateur magician " Flickerman said to the cameras and the ground in front of him before trowing a coin in the air " But guess, where I am today? Here's a hint....that's right the Capitol zoo, where this years tributes will be held here on display behind these bars for your viewing pleasure ".

Aletta groaned as she got off her mentor, who had shielded her from the impact of the fall.

" that's right all 24 of them— " Flikerman said and gestured to them but cut him self off, when he saw Coriolanus " What in the gem of Pamen? You see that's an academy rouge? No...excuse me, hello sir...yes you in the red...who are you? And why are you in there with them? We're live " Flikerman called out to the academy student.

Coriolanus's breath quickened and Aletta noticed and grabbed his arm causing him to look down at her.

" Aletta Everdeen.....may I introduce you to my neighbours " Coriolanus asked as he turned to face her properly, he grabbed the rose out of her hand and broke the stem and placed it behind her ear as his fingertips slowly brushed her cheek before he helped his out out to her, Aletta sighed before grabbing his hand.

" Well, that's something you don't see everyday, their holding hands " Flikerman said as they walked over hand in hand " Who are you, sir? what are you doing in the cage? ".

" Hi, how do you do...my name is Coriolanus Snow and this is my tribute......Aletta Everdeen from district 12" Coriolanus smiled at a boy and girl, who had wondered in front of the cage.

" Hi, there...what's your names? " Aletta smiled at the boy and girl.

" My Name is Pontius " the boy smiled.

" It's nice to meet you....is this your sister? " Aletta asked.

" That's Venus...shes only 4 " Pintius replied.

" Well, I think 4 is a very smart age to be " Aletta let go of Coriolanus's hand and kneeled down in front of them.

" Where did you find that snake? " Venus asked.

" He found me....must of been a music love, mine and my sister singing calmed him right down " Aletta replied.

" Can I touch your dress? ".

" Of course, I like your dress too " Aletta smiled as she stood and allowed the girl to touch the fabric of the dress and then turned to Flikerman and smiled " And who might you be? ".

" Who don't know, who I am? " Flikerman questioned before turning to the camera man, who was laughing " Don't laugh......not everyone has television in the districts ".

" I'm Lucretia's Lucky Flikerman " Flikerman said to the girl " But more enticingly, who are you? Aletta from district 12 ".

" I'm just a nobody, there's nothing remotely interesting about me ".

" Well, your dress is far from gray and seems to be a big hit with the children " Filkerman said.

" Oh, yes...it's my sister, she lent it to me for luck, she it's extra special to me " Aletta smiled.

" And she's in district 12 ".

" Yes " Aletta smiled before looking up at her mentor and touched his shoulder " Do you know my mentor? Says his name is Coriolanus Snow and clearly I've hit the Jack pot with this one, because nobody else has even bothered to show up ".

" The game makers did tell you to jump into the cage with them? " Flikerman questioned.

" They didn't tell me not too " the blonde shrugged with a smile " They just said it was a mentors job to introduce our tribute to the citizens of Panem and I thought if Aletta is brave enough to be here, why shouldn't I? ".

" For the record I didn't have a choice " Aletta added.

" For the record, I think your about to be whisked away, young man " Filkerman said as two peacekeepers grabbed Coriolanus but Aletta grabbed his arm.

" Wait, Get us some food, please " Aletta pleaded " Jessup and I haven't eaten since the reaping ".

Coriolanus looked at the girl as he was dragged away.
