F O R T Y - F O U R
Jungkook waited outside of the school, skipping the small school session he had in the beginning of class about nonsense and what they could do to 'better the school'. He waited for Taehyung.
He saw Hoseok, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin who was now approaching the school. Jungkook jumped off the walk, pushing himself by Jimin. Jeongguk was still very much suspended.
"Hyung, have you spotted Taehyung? He blocked my number and I don't know where he is, Jeongguk said he's blocked too. He ran off last night and I have yet to see him," Jungkook said, gripping Jimin's wrist.
The aforementioned was baffled when being called 'hyung' by Jungkook. "No, he didn't come to me." He said, biting down on his lip. "I'm sorry,"
"Please don't lie to me, Jimin, I feel like shit. I just want to apologize to Taehyung." Jungkook said, using his fingers to brush his hair back. "Fuck! Can you call him from your phone?"
Jimin nodded, pulling out his phone and going to his contact. "Let me talk to him first, I'll put him on speaker, okay?" He said, doing as he said he would. He held the phone between he and Jungkook.
The phone was answered, Jungkook wanting nothing more but to shout that he missed Taehyung but decided against him, shoving his knuckles into his mouth to keep quiet.
Jimin opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Taehyung who sounded sleepy and tired. "J-Jiminie? I hate to bring this up before you need to go school, I-I don't . . . I don't know where I am right now." He said into the phone. "Um, I don't particularly know what happened yesterday either. I feel weird."
The oldest bit down on his lip, trying to keep Jungkook quiet. "Describe your location to me, tell me anything. Where are you? Outside? In a hotel? In someone's house? Are you in your own house?" There was many questions asked.
Taehyung's breathing hitched. "Err, n-not inside." He stumbled over his words, his vowels small and jumbled. "I'm . . . Uh, I don't know, the street doesn't sound familiar."
"Can you say what street it is? I'll put it into my phone," Jungkook decided to open his mouth and speak.
"You're the last person I want to see, Jungkook. I rather you stay where you are and just have Jimin come." Taehyung's voice was nothing but broken.
"It was a joke, Taehyung, I was joking to Seokjin-hyung, I'll show you everything you want to see once me and Jimin get to you." Said Jungkook. "Jeongguk would never use you and I would never cheat on you, you have no idea how much you mean to the both of us, I have zero reason to just hide it from you,"
Jimin gulped. "What street are you on?" He asked warily, trying to keep everyone calm. "I don't want you to be hurt,"
"Blackberry? I don't know this road," Taehyung repeated, rubbing his eyes. "I'm just, I'm on the floor, on the sidewalk,"
"Do you have any markings on you? Any holes or wounds?" Jimin said as he gripped Jungkook's wrist, rushing away to the Jeon Twin's car. He urged him to hurry up.
"I don't think so, just weak." Taehyung muttered.
"What all do you remember?" Jungkook called back, getting into the driver seat as Jimin got on the other side. He put the road into his phone, seeing three possible options. He glanced over all of them.
The first one was forty-five minutes away.
The second one was an hour away.
And finally, the third one was six hours away. Jungkook presumed Taehyung couldn't have gotten too far and the forty-five minute one was his best bet.
"Uh, I remember leaving Jungkook's house because of what I heard . . . I was running and I ran and ran." Taehyung said. "I-It was raining a lot, I don't know where else to go, I didn't know the streets I was turning down, I just ran."
"Anything else? Did you run into anyone?"
"Not that I recall, I just kept going, I was tired and crying and whatnot . . ." Taehyung trailed off, movement clear.
"Do you remember me calling you?" Asked the youngest. He started up the car and began to drive. Neither of the cared for school at the moment. "I called you from a payphone."
"No, not really," he answered. "It's cold out here, I feel icky," he added on to his sentence, sniffling.
"You slept outside and was soaked in rain, I don't expect you to be okay or in peachy health, Taehyung." Said Jimin, looking over the directions. "You're forty-five minutes away! Tae! How far did you run?!"
Taehyung groaned, pushing fully up until he was standing. "I-I don't know," he managed to spit out, holding his head with his one palm. He was slightly dizzy but was able to recuperate with himself. "Should I go somewhere?" He asked.
Jimin hummed clearly, a silent pause holding the answer apart. "You need to just get somewhere warm, is there anywhere near you? Like a diner? A hotel?"
"I don't have any money on me, I don't even have shoes on." Taehyung commented, scanning his surroundings. "There's a small little shop, it has plushies." He mentioned. "It has a stuffed bear!"
Jimin face palmed. "You're so fucking confusing, Taehyung. Okay, go to the plushie shop and just try to wash yourself in the bathroom, please." He said. "You're bipolar by the way, just to say. Me and Kook are on our way." He shook his head to himself. Taehyung was just sounding tired and sleepy and now he was gasping over stuffed animals.

It was a painful forty-five minutes. Jungkook pestered for Jimin to message his boyfriend every two minutes. He wasn't calm about any of this even if Taehyung seemed fine now that he had found teddy bear plushies.
The two teens looked around, not familiar with the place either. They saw the street sign that read out 'Blackberry Rd', now that was left was to find the plushie store Taehyung praised of.
Jungkook had his head spinning with possibilities. "Do you think he was drugged?" He asked, another 'do you think' question directed to Jimin.
The aforementioned signed. "What if he just ran and past out? Shut up, we'll be able to talk to him shortly. Just keep your eyes peeled for a-"
"Found it!" Jungkook said, he gripping Jimin's wrist and tugging him away this time, rushing across the street to the shop.
Jimin kindly and apolitically waved at the cars he and his friend ran in front of, not appreciating the fingers he was given but didn't mind the nonetheless.
"Slow down! We know he's already in-" Jimin was cut off once more by the determined brunet. "Why- Why do I talk?" He asked to no one but himself.
Jungkook ignored all comments made, running as quick as he could, even if the other couldn't keep up too well. He made it to the doors, not allowing himself to even stop to begin to catch his breath.
He shoved the doors wide open, stepping on inside. "KIM TAEHYUNG!" He shouted with all his might, everyone going silent, the only thing playing was the store music in the background.
There was a small squeak, Taehyung holding several plushies in his arms as he poked his head up. And, yes, this was the same person who ran crying late last night because he mistaken that his boyfriend was cheating on him, for those who wonder.
Jungkook ran over, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. He picked him up, holding him close to his body. "Oh my god," he breathed, squeezing his eyes shut as he embraced Taehyung. He could feel his heartbeat against his own.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered, feeling Taehyung wrap his legs around his waist and his arms around his neck, feeling Taehyung's hand in his hair, tangling itself immediately into his brown locks.
"I forgive you," breathed out Taehyung, smiling at Jimin as he stayed in his lover's arms, happy to just see them again, even if he second guessed things.
"No, no, you shouldn't, I made you run away, I made you cry, you shouldn't forgive me," Jungkook said, gently setting Taehyung down so he could stand. "I'll buy you everything you need and want, I'll give you anything, I know I can't buy you happiness but I'll buy you everything I can just to make you realize I lo-"
Jimin's eyes widened, biting down on his lip as he heard Jungkook almost spill out his last word. Taehyung's plump lips parted, his eyes also going wide.
"Jungkook, I know what you mean and I know you want to just make things right, but you don't need to say those words to me if you don't feel that way," Taehyung said, placing his hands on Jungkook's cheeks.
"No," Jungkook breathed, brushing the red locks Taehyung withheld. "I mean it with every ounce of me, I love you, Taehyung. I know we only started to date but I'm in head over heels for you." And with those words, he pressed his lips to Taehyung's.
