You could hear racing footsteps going up the stairs, making you panic.

You eventually got the hang of it. You pushed yourself up against the door, opening it violently, just as a few of the Infected reached the highest floor. You double-checked that everyone was in the room before slamming the door and making even more noise. You couldn't control it, though, because you were in such a state of panic.

Childe

"Phew, that made my heart race!"

You had your hands firmly put on the door, listening to your racing heartbeat.

Scaramouche

"... This place is actually pretty neat."

You turned around, looking at the modern setting.

Childe

"Someone wealthy must own this place."

You

"Yeah. It's my friend's dead dad's apartment."

Xiao

"...!"

Scaramouche

"What happened to him?!"

You

"Scara, look at the situation we're in."

Scaramouche

"... Right."

You heard a broom fall over by the kitchen area of the room.

You

"Aww shit, don't tell me the Infected were able to get in here."

As you took a few cautious steps towards it, someone popped out from hiding behind the counter.

"I'm not a zombie! I promise!"

The person in hiding had their arms put up as if they were surrendering.

"... Where did you get 'zombie' from?"

"Is that not what they are?... There are zombies everywhere... I've been trying to bury them, but they're way too violent!"

Another person from Teyvat?!

The person looked over to Childe.

"Yes! I'm glad to know you're alright!"

Xiao

Hu Tao put down her hands.

Hu Tao

"I'm sorry if I caused you trouble, I thought the zombies were trying to unlock the door... And you, I haven't seen you around... Do you work elsewhere in Teyvat?"

You

Childe

You and the others explain the entire situation to Hu Tao. The lack of strength, dead visions, and the Infected were mentioned.

You then explained the plan to retrieve the antidote, and how you'd all be resting in the room for the night.

The others attended to their basic needs, like showering and freshening up while you went out to get food and random clothing.

Once you got back, you just saw Xiao plainly sitting at the dining table.

"You still haven't showered?..."

Xiao

"Childe's taking a long time. I also don't know how to use the shower here."

You

"Wait- So you're telling me, you have no idea how to shower?!"

Xiao

"No, I do know how to shower. I don't know how to manage this new environment is all."

You

"Oh... Makes sense. Once Childe's finished, I'll teach you how."

You dropped off neatly folded clothing for Childe in front of the bathroom door while Hu Tao was busy washing his clothing.

*Knock knock* "Childe, why are you taking so damn long?!"

"Hey, let me take my time!"

*Groan* "... I left some clean clothes for you on the other side of the door. Wear these while your other clothes are being washed. And stop taking up so much time! Scaramouche fucking stinks!"

"Shut up!"

Childe had finally come out of the bathroom, looking all sparkly and freshened up.

You then started to teach Xiao how to use modern controls of a shower.

"Okay- Watch. When you turn the handle to the left, the water turns-"

Scaramouche

"Are you bathing with Xiao?!"

You

"Scara literally shut the fuck up."

Scaramouche

"I was just asking a question!"

You

*Sigh* "As I was saying, the water turns on when you turn it to the left. If this part of the handle is located in the blue area, that means the water will turn cold. If it's located in the red area, that means the water will turn hot. If you want it warm, put it in the middle. Does that make sense?"

Xiao

"I believe so."

You

"And then, you pull this thing to make the water run through the showerhead."

Xiao

"Okay."

It was just then Xiao put both of his hands on the bottom of his shirt and started pulling it off.

He paused, his stomach being exposed.

"Xiao you've gotta wait until I leave before you do things like that!..."

You were trying to cover him with your hands, looking away.

"Oh. Sorry."

"Your towel's gonna be hung up there."

You then left the bathroom, still a bit flustered from what you almost saw.

Scaramouche

"Ooh! Xiao's horny for you, Y/N."

You

"If you don't shut the fuck up right now,"

Scaramouche

"Hey, hey, I'm only telling the truth."

You stared at him with squinting eyes and waited on the nearby sofa for Xiao to finish.

It was then you heard a very loud bang come from the bathroom.

"Oh shit! Xiao's got the horny disease!"

You

"Scara, don't even!"

You got up from the sofa and knocked on the bathroom door a few times.

"Xiao, what happened?!"

Xiao

"The water was..."

You

"..."

Xiao

"Too hot. So I jumped out."

You

"Wh- Then turn the handle to the right!"

Xiao

"But... In order to do that, I'd have to run through the hot water. I don't want to burn myself."

You

"Then do it-" *Sigh* "Xiao, wear your towel."

After a while, you went into the bathroom to adjust the water for him. You covered the left side of your face with your hand, hoping to avoid seeing Xiao, who was literally half-naked.

You then shut the door.

"Okay, is the water better now?"

Xiao

"Yes. Thank you."

After a very stressful time, he exited the bathroom.

"Xiao."

"Your... Sweater's on backwards."

Xiao

He looked down at the sweater he was wearing.

Once again, he was literally about to start stripping in front of you.

You had your eyes shut close, and when you finally decided to open them, his sweater had already been put on the right way this time. You exhaled with relief.
