He opened his hand, showing you a key fob. 

You

"Oh sweet! You found one!... Why are you being so discreet about it?"

Xiao

"I don't want Childe to do that again."

You

"Oh... Hm, makes sense."

You informed the others about the key fob Xiao found, making sure that Childe wasn't able to get a hold of it.

You

"... Oh shit."

Scaramouche

"What?..."

You

"How are we supposed to figure out which car this key fob belongs to?..."

Xiao

"Please, don't make it alarm again."

You

"Don't worry, I'm not as stupid as Childe over here."

You glared at him.

You

"The only way to spot the car is by hearing the noise it makes... But knowing the Infected, they'll run right after it."

Xiao

"Then we make a distraction."

All of you went silent.

Scaramouche

"I'm not being the sacrifice."

You

"Neither am I!"

You quickly replied right after Scaramouche had said something. 

You and Scaramouche looked at Childe.

Childe

"What?! There's no way that you guys are actually thinking of sacrificing me!"

Scaramouche 

"Well, you're the only one left so deal with it!"

Childe

"Huh?!"

Xiao

"I didn't mean sacrificing anyone."

You

"Then what do you plan to do?"

Xiao

"We can make noise to drive them away from the car. One person will go to the other side of the building and throw a few things on the ground that will certainly make noise. The rest of us will wait on the other side to enter the car after the Infected move away from it. Then, as the person who makes noise flees, we can pick them up."

You

"So... Who's gonna be making the noise?"

Childe

"No!"

Scaramouche

"Childe's the tallest here, meaning that he's probably the fastest!"

Childe

"Huh?! That's not true, Xiao's the fastest one here!"

Scaramouche

"Yeah, but he can't do all that because he lost his Vision! So, the only person left is you!"

Childe groaned in frustration and finally agreed to go. 

While you waited for Childe's signal which was basically throwing a bunch of random items on the ground, there was just one problem that you hadn't thought about until now.

You

"Wait a minute... You guys are over 18, right?"

Xiao

"I'm... 2000+ years old."

You

"No, you're not."

You said, in disbelief.

Xiao

"I am."

You

"Then how come you're not all wrinkly and shit?!"

Scaramouche

"We aren't human."

You

"Ohh... Makes sense."

Scaramouche

"Why'd you ask such a question?"

You

"You've gotta be 18 and over to drive one of these."

Scaramouche

"Are you saying that you're not able to drive a car?!"

You

"Huh?! Of course not! I'm of age to drive one, but it's just that I never took the time to actually do the driving test."

Xiao

"Knowing you, I don't think you would even want to do the driving test."

You

"And that, you are correct. Plus, the driving tests in the Underground were bullshit. They never even taught you the proper rules of the road."

You all waited for Childe to start tossing items on the ground as a sign that it was time to get in the vehicle. Childe began flinging pots all over the place, and you all heard a lot of clatter. He had never run so rapidly and unexpectedly in his life after doing so.

All of the Infected ran towards the source of the noise, Childe's location.

You all dashed to the car as soon as the Infected were entirely out of sight. You opened the door and slammed it shut without reluctance, making sure to lock it with the knowledge you had.

"Shit!..."

Scaramouche

"What?!"

You

"I don't know how to drive!"

You had already done the basic steps like turning on the car... And that's basically all that you knew how to do.

Xiao

"You have got to be kidding me."

The moment you heard the Infected's loud ass footsteps, you just forced yourself to slam your foot on the pedal, hoping that it was the right one.

As Childe ran, not even realizing that the Infected were going after the car and not him, you tried your best to drive the car to wherever the hell Childe ran off to.

You

"Hurry up!"

You exclaimed, motioning your hand to tell Childe to get in the car immediately.

Within the stressful time that you had, you were able to get used to just steering and putting your foot on the pedal.

Childe

"How do I close it?!"

Scaramouche

"Just pull it, damn it!"

While Childe was figuring out how to shut the door, Scaramouche was all over him, attempting to teach him how to close a car door while fleeing from the Infected while in the middle of a crisis.

Once Childe was able to get a hold of the car door, all of you sighed in relief.

Childe

"So... Y/N, you know how to use this thing, right?"

You

"... No."

Childe started to freak out.

You

"Oh my god- Childe, shut up, I've already gotten used to it."

Childe sighed in relief.

Childe

"Please don't make us crash into something..."

Xiao could be seen in the mirror, fatigued, slumped against the glass. His arms were both wrapped around his abdomen. You figured he was hungry, which he was.

You

"Hey, how about we stop somewhere to rest?..."

Scaramouche

"Y/N, we've come this far and you want to... Rest?"

You

"Well if we're gonna go to the Council's building which has like over 30 floors and we'll be taking the stairs, then I think that it's best for us to rest and get energized for that big occasion."

Scaramouche

"Well, where do you plan to stay?"

Xiao

"Wangshu Inn. Do you have a place here that's similar to Wangshu Inn?"

You

"... What?"

Childe

"He means like... an Inn."

You

"Oh!... Sure we do have Inns here, but they're definitely broken down by now. I already have a place in mind, so you don't have to worry about it."

After quite the long drive, you arrived at yet again, another tall building.

Scaramouche

"This again?!"

You

"It's not a building where you see papers and stuff!"

Scaramouche

"That's not what I'm focusing on, it's the stairs!"

Xiao

"... Weren't you just willing to go climb the stairs of a 30+ story building?"

Scaramouche

"Agh, it doesn't matter, I'm just about to collapse at this point."

All of you were very cautious, walking down the halls of the highest floor of that building as you led the way.

You double-checked if the room you aimed for was correct, and tried opening it.

"Shit!... It's locked!"

Scaramouche

"Don't swear so loudly! We'll get caught!"

Childe

"Use this."

Childe passed you a simple needle.

You

"So... You just carry around needles everywhere you go?..."

Childe

"Hey, don't ask me, I got it from Xiao."

Xiao

"I thought it would be of use just in case something like this happened."

You

"Well, at least you plan ahead."

You started picking at the lock using the needle. The others tapped their feet, anxious.

Scaramouche

"Can your dumbass be any slower?!"
