After many soothing conversations, Karan and Monami were absolutely ready to proceed towards Amritsar for their mission. Though Karan wasn't feeling to go there by heart, but he knows that he can't compromise with his duty. Plus, looking at the excitement and happiness on his lady love's face, all his worries just flew away. 

Karan was loading their bags in the boot of their jeep, when he noticed Monami smiling looking at nothing with some sort of sparkle in her eyes. He knew that if he'll ask her now in front of the academy people who were there to see them off, she will just avoid it any how. He made a mental note to enquire about her behavior to her. After a few more bye-bye, Karan and Monami finally drove away.

It's been an hour since they've been on their way to Amritsar. Monami was constantly looking out of the window and enjoying the mild wind which was passing by touching her milky skin. Karan admired her aura but was confused when he found her lost and smiling without any reason. So being curious, he decided to ask her finally.

Karan - Rani Sahiba, kya hua? Kya soch kar mand-mand muskuraya ja raha hai?

Monami - Na..Nahi, kuchh bhi to nahi!

Karan - Rani Sahiba, you're the worst liar I've ever seen. Come out with it!

Monami huffed on the fact that how well does he knows her but also felt good when she realised that there's no need for her to lie or pretend in front of her Khadoos Shergill.

Monami - Karan, actually main soch rahi thi ki jaise hum abhi Amritsar ja rahe hain, to kya hum vaha tumhari family se mil sakte hain? Please!

This question was a sudden attack on Karan. He immediately applied the break, making Monami worried.

Monami - Kya ho gaya, Karan? Maine kuchh galat keh diya kya?

Karan (holding her by her shoulders) - Monami, I love you aur tumhari har khwahish puri karna ab mera sabse bada goal hota hai! But... please Monami, ye mat maango ki main unn sabke beech, uss dukh ke beech, uss nafrat ke beech dobara jau! Aur tumhe to bilkul bhi vaha nahi le jana chahta.

Monami - But kyu, Karan?! They're your family!

Karan - I understand you Monami but please try to understand me as well! Main..main darta hoon...

Monami sighed and caressed his palms which was on her cheeks. She understood what he might be feeling right now and decided to not to scratch his wound more.

Monami - Ok fine, but this the last time jab main tumhari baat maan rahi hoon. (With an arrogant pout) Aage se..you have to obey your Rani Sahiba!

Karan chuckled and adored her cuteness and the way she tries to bring a smile on his face.

Karan (bowing his head) - Jo hukum, Rani Sahiba!

Monami patted his head in fake arrogance and as they looked at each other, they bursted into a good laughter.

Karan - Vaise kya main jaan sakta hoon ki aapka itna mann kyu hai meri family se milne ka? Aakhir kyu milna hai aapko unse?!

Monami - What do you mean by 'kyu milna hai'?! (While blushing slightly) They are your family & my Sasural! Technically to main pure Luna Pind ki hi hone wali bahu hui na aur pura Pind mera Sasural?!

Karan - Ji ji, Rani Sahiba! Bilkul! (Huskily) Aapko sach mein bahot jaldi hai apne Sasural jaane ki. 

Monami (in attitude) - Ho bhi kyu na?!

Karan shook his head on Monami's cute antics. Though they laughed at Monami's excitement and each other's words, they knew that it isn't possible. Karan felt quite bad for not fulfilling his Rani Sahiba's dream of visiting her Sasural once but he himself was extremely helpless.  

In another few hours, they were finally in front of the sign board indicating that it's finally Amritsar ahead now. 

Karan halted the jeep for a moment and stared at the sign board with glistening eyes. Those eyes had longingness, calmness, nervousness and most importantly, happiness of returning home after years! Monami observed his changing expressions and kept her hand on his shoulder, comforting him & bringing him out of his trance.

He shrugged off the feelings that he felt at the moment and again started the jeep to drive towards a very special place. As they entered inside the Luna Pind, nostalgia hit Karan hard! Looking at the fields of mustard, he remembered how he used to have joyful walks with his Darji in his good childhood days. Looking at the mud, he remembered how he & Rana used to play in the mud and used to laugh their hearts out while enjoying throwing the mud on each other. He also remembers about the scolding they used to get from Beeji for behaving so immaturely even after being the elder one and getting involved in mud-fights and ruining the clothes.

A layer of fresh tears instantly occupied Karan's eyes as he looked down upon the lane of his childhood memories. His lips instantly curved into a small smile as he remembered his Beeji's love, Darji's sweet scolding and his little brother's funny antics. Monami noticed his way of staring at the whole place and smiled realizing that he's just missing his family. She knew that she shouldn't stretch the topic right now, otherwise Karan would end up sobbing and shedding tears which would definitely pinch her heart. 

Karan decided to not to look at Monami for the moment because he himself knows that hiding his tears & sorrow from her would be next to impossible for him, so he thought to just drive away from the house area to their hotel which was located at the end of the Pind, so to reach the hotel they have to cross the whole village. While looking here and there and trying to capture the beauty of the Pind in her eyes, Monami saw a beautiful gurudwara and felt some peace occupying her heart just by a mere glance.

Monami - Karan, hum uss gurudware mein chalein kya? I want to pray for our happiness & mission's success!

Karan couldn't deny to any word his Rani Sahiba utters and he himself wanted to visit the gurudwara once again, after years of being away from all the peace and serenity he attains after visiting the gurudwara. 

Karan - Bilkul Rani Sahiba, chalo..chalte hain!

Karan parked the jeep near the gurudwara, and both came out of the jeep and bowed in front of the gurudwara from outside only first. Then Karan decided to cover his head from his handkerchief and Monami covered her head by her dupatta. And they proceeded inside the Gurudwara with their hands joined and heads slightly bowed.

Ajuni sabham

They went inside the Gurudwara and walked up to Sri Guru Granth Sahib, draped in fine raiment, is placed on a palanquin, underneath a flower-bedecked, and under a canopy. As they walked ahead, they felt very calm and peaceful. As they went near Sri Guru Granth Sahib, some of their hopes ignited and the storm in their hearts calmed down a bit. They sat on their knees, bowed their heads in respect to Sri Guru Granth Sahib & Waheguru ji and touched their foreheads seeking blessings from the ultimate almighty. They folded their hands and held them together in front of their chests and closed their eyes to pray to the guardian of the world.

Hai bhi sach nanak hose bhi sach 

Monami (praying in mind) - Babaji, main nahi jaanti ki sab kuchh kaise theek hoga, but theek hona padega! Karan sirf upar-upar se dikhata hai ki vo theek hai, lekin sachai to aap bhi jaante hain kya hai. Please babaji, Karan aur uski family ko please ek kardijiye! Please Karan ko humesha khush rakhiye! Please uski har manokamna puri kardijiye! Aur Babaji, aap bhi jaante hain ki Karan hi mera sab kuchh hai to please..uske chehre se uski muskaan kabhi jaane mat dijiyega!

Karan (praying in mind) - Babaji, mujhe zindagi mein kuchh nahi chahiye. Aapne jo diya hai, vo bahot hai! Lekin Babaji, aaj bhi apne parivaar ki yaad aati hai. Pata nahi kabhi mil bhi paunga ya nahi, lekin bus yahi ardaas hai aapse ki.. bus unhe khush rakhna! Mere Beeji-Darji ki tabiyat theek rakhna aur Rane ko tarakki dena aur..aur..ye jo meri Rani Sahiba hain, inki har manokamna puri kardena! Babaji, ye aap bhi jaante hain ki Monami kitna maayne rakhti hai mere liye, please uski khushiyon ko koi aanch mat aane dijiyega. Aur mujhe itni shakti dena ki main apni Rani Sahiba ko duniya ki har burai se door rakh saku!

That's how MoRan prayed for each other being extremely selfless in love! The Gurudev present there waved the feather on their heads, providing them with the much-needed blessings. They stood up and were about to go towards the langar place when Karan's heart pounded strongly. He looked back just to find no one there.

Monami - Kya hua Karan?

Karan - Monami, mujhe aisa laga jaise..jaise Beeji thi yaha!

Monami - Karan, you're just missing her. Tum Amritsar mein ho, apne pind mein, to to Beeji ki yaad aana obvious hai. Don't overthink!

Karan nodded being unsatisfied and they both started leaving. Karan's instincts were right! It was his Beeji who also came there to pray to God. When MoRan were about to leave, that's when she entered and didn't came into MoRan's view. 

Je laai har lakhtaar
Ukhiya pukh na utari

Beeji (joining her hands in front) - Waheguruji! Apni iss bhagat ki ardaas sun leyo. Aaj savere se hi lag raha hai ki kuchh achha hone wala hai. Aisa lag raha hai ki mera puttar vapis aane wala hai! Babaji, agar aisa hai to mere pe bhi apni kripa barsa do tussi...mujhe mere puttar se milva do, babaji! 

Je banna puriya paar
Sahasyanpa lakh woh ha

With her heart filled with hope & belief, Sanjot descended the stairs of the Gurudwara, while MoRan were also about to leave from the Gurudwara after having the kada prasad. As the prasad is always the most delicious, Monami too found it so soulful that she wanted to have some from Karan's part as well due to which they had a small quarrel in the Gurudwara itself. By the time they resolved their quarrel & came out of the Gurudwara, Sanjot already had left. Karan was feeling as if he's missing on something big, but just decided to ignore his overthinking brain. 

Ta ek na chale naal
Ke ve sach yaara hoi ae

Sanjot & Karan, who are praying desperately to meet each other after years, just got a chance to face each other. But maybe it wasn't acceptable to God & maybe he has some different or better plans, Sanjot & Karan couldn't meet each other despite of being at the same place, at the same time. But sometimes Gods decisions are way better than ours! So, keeping full faith in the supreme most almighty, they just leave their lives & relationships in 'his' hands' & walk away to their destined destinations!

Ke ve kude tutte paal
Hukum rajai chalna nanak likheya naal
