After my little emotional moment, we all enjoyed ourselves in the living room and watched some family movies together. It wasn't long until the movie was almost halfway over and my daughter started to scream out.
"I'll take care of Samaria." I picked up my daughter, "You guys can resume the movie. I'll be back as soon as possible. She just needs to be bottle fed and she'll sleep for the rest of the night."
"Okay, Ro."
I walked to Samaria's bedroom with her cradled in my arms with her continuing to shed tears. I sat down at the chair beside her crib and gave her the bottle full of warm milk.
"Shhh, Daddy's here, Samaria." I said quietly and calmed her down.
Samaria continued to drink from her bottle while I looked down at her with a warm smile. She took after me a lot; just like my son. Minutes passed and she was finished with her milk and I proceeded to cradle her in my arms and rock from side-to-side in hopes that she'll fall asleep within seconds. Thankfully, she did.
I silently stood up from the chair and laid her down into her crib and tucked her in with her teddy-bear blanket and sat a small stuffed animal next to her bedside to give her some comfort.
"Goodnight, Princess."
I turned on the baby monitor so we could hear if she wakes up from her slumber. Then I quietly eased out of the bedroom and travelled back into the living room with my wife and son to continue our family movie night.
"Is she asleep?" Ashley asked.
"Yeah. All she needed was a bottle full of warm milk and cradled to sleep. I also turned on the baby monitor in case she were to wake up throughout the night."
"Look at you being responsible!"
"I'm always responsible." I smiled.
After awhile, we proceeded to watch the movie that lasted for an hour and a half. When the movie ended, it was past Loto's bedtime and he went to his bedroom and fell asleep for the night. As for Ashley and I, we made our way to the bedroom and spent some private time together.
"That was quite an eventful night, might I add."
"Definitely. I wouldn't change it for the world."
"Neither would I."
I sat down on the bed and scratched my beard for a moment until a sudden realization came to mind.
"Ashley."
"Yeah, Ro?"
"I was thinking about Loto's schooling. We haven't enrolled him yet into preschool and he's really intelligent for his age."
"I mean, we were needing to talk about his schooling until I realized I was pregnant with Samaria. It kind of fell off for almost a year since you've been busy in the ring and I've been focusing on the pregnancy at the time."
"Yeah. I just want what's best for our kids, you know?"
"Definitely. Speaking of Loto, do you think he might become a wrestler like you once he's grown?"
"That's the one thing I've been wondering about. Loto has a bright future ahead of him and I can see him either wrestling or becoming a football player. Either way, if our son were to ever become a wrestler, I'd love to see him winning titles and becoming the top face of the company. If he were to do football, I could see our son someday becoming one of the biggest names of the NFL."
"Who knows what could be in store for our son, Ro. He has plenty of time to think about these things." She smiled, "After all, he's still a toddler."
"You're right, Ash."
The entire night was spent on the both of us thinking about our kids' futures. Although Samaria was just recently born and Loto's around two-years-old, we always ponder about what the future has in store for them.
It wasn't long until Ashley fell asleep next to me about an hour later. It sucked that it's almost time for me to return back to work to continue the rest of the storyline between The Bloodline and then Kevin Owens making his way into the picture.
Morning
"Good morning, Ashley."
"Morning."
"I have to head back to Orlando today. Are you going to be able to handle Samaria and Loto while I'm at work?"
"Of course, Ro. I know how to handle our children."
"I know, I know." I chuckled, "I just know how much of a handful those two can get."
"As a mother, it becomes easy over time."
"I'm sure it does, babe. I just don't want you to overwork yourself while I'm gone."
We spent the entire morning making breakfast for the kids and us before I had to return to the ring to continue my long-paced storyline. I eventually made my way into my vehicle and drove back to Orlando, Florida and meet up with Paul and my cousin.
"Hello, my Tribal Chief."
"Sup, Paul."
"Did you hear about the passing of Pat Patterson?"
"No, I didn't."
"Oh, well we're about to begin the show here momentarily."
SmackDown was starting and we all stood out on the ramp and paid our condolences to the late Pat Patterson in pure silence. I stood there with my eyes closed until it was over with. Soon, they cued on the entrance and then Kayla Braxton made her way down to the ring and started to announce us.
"Please, join me in welcoming; arguably, one of the most; if not, the most dominant superstar of his era. A five-time heavyweight champion. A Royal Rumble match winner. A former United States, Intercontinental and tag-team champion. He is the Head of the Table, the best of the best, and he is the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns!"
As my entrance started, Paul, Jey and I walked down to the ring as the Thunderdome crowd began to cheer.
I looked at Kayla with a stern look, "You missed one. The announcement. You know which one you missed?" I chuckled.
I looked over at Paul and he brought the microphone to his mouth.
"The reigns-ing, defending, undisputed Universal Champion of the world. Your Tribal Chief, ladies and gentlemen. The best of the best, Roman Reigns."
The crowd heavily booed.
"Okay, my apologies." Kayla apologized, "Roman, last week you made some pretty stark comments towards your cousin, Jey Uso, about your status and your perception on SmackDown, but you've become a commanding figure here in the WWE Thunderdome. I have to ask, what happened last week?"
They shown a package of last week's episode where I chewed out my cousin on the microphone and stressing him out.
"So Roman, as we just saw, Kevin made it clear that he does not fear you. But after last week when you avoided, co-confrontation with him," she stuttered, "Maybe the question should be, do you fear Kevin?"
I laughed.
"So, this probably the biggest thing you've ever done in your career. The biggest thing you've ever done on SmackDown; the most relevant you've ever been. This is gonna be the most viewed thing you've ever been apart of, and you come in here and you ask me stupid questions. We legitimately have a man of experience of ten over here. Michael Cole could've done this job and we take a chance by allowing you to talk to me, The Head of the Table, The Tribal Chief, your Tribal Chief; and you blow it with a stupid question. Next question!"
"Okay well, let's shift gears to talk about your cousin, Jey Uso, and what a lot of the WWE Universe have been wondering and that is, is it a possibility that you're using Jey as a pawn? Possibly manipulating him?"
"Manipulating. Those are stupid words for stupid people. I don't mean any disrespect, but do I look like a man who manipulates? I am a protector, I am a provider. Like I just said, I'm the Head of the Table. My cousin, Jey Uso, one half of the greatest tag-team of the generation; I take nothing away from that, but what has he done in the past two to three months? What has he done? Have you done any of your homework? Have you done any research? Have you looked at the facts? We give you a huge opportunity. Paul goes to back for you, he's been working with you on Talking Smack; he goes to back for you, gives you an opportunity like this to talk to me; and you blow it. Not only on your first question, but on your question. Paul, please handle this amateur."
Paul cleared his throat.
"Kayla, in the past five weeks, who has main-evented SmackDown and each and solitary week? The answer to that rhetorical question is Jey Uso. How have the ratings been? According to my friends in analytics at FOX Network, the ratings have been on the highest surge in the entire town of the year of 2020. Why? Because of main-event Jey Uso. Is that a manipulation? No. Roman Reigns has given his entire family something to aspire to. Roman Reigns is a motivator. Roman Reigns has insp-" Paul said before being interrupted.
Kevin Owens' music came on and stood at the ramp.
"You know, last week, I made it pretty clear that I don't fear you. And since we've established that you don't fear me, I don't see the point in waiting for later tonight. I figured since you didn't come to me last week, I'll just come to you now and we can settle this right here, right now! What do you think of that?" Kevin asked.
I held out my hand for the microphone and before Paul could hand me the microphone, Jey snatched it out of his hand.
"We get down, Uce. We run this show! No, we accept! Easy."
"I wasn't talking to the bus-boy, I was talking to the Head of the Table. What do you say, huh? If not now, let me think of the--Oh! I got just the place! TLC."
The crowd cheered.
"And let's not stop there, Roman! You are the Head of the Table; or so you claim. Let's get a table in there. Let's get a ladder. Let's get some chairs. Put that title on the line and you and I settle this like men! What do you say?" Said Kevin.
"Put the microphone in his hand!" Paul said towards Jey.
"Or we just do it right now; because that's fine too! Come on."
Kevin dropped the microphone and the crowd went insane.
I smirked, "I bet that's what you want, huh? You want to fight me right now; that'd be the best thing for your career. You being on the Island of Relevancy is the best thing that's ever gonna happen to you, but understand this, I've trained my cousin well. We don't back to any man, we do not fear anyone. He said we accept and I'm telling you right now, the Head of the Table accepts. And you're lucky, if I was the man I used to be, I'd whoop your ass right now. But there's a time and a place for everything. And the time's not right. What do I look like? A savage? I'm a gentlemen. There's a lady in the ring. Grow up." I said, tossing my microphone to the canvas.
The crowd started to boo extremely loud. As always, I wanted to keep them waiting.
"Whoa, whoa. Hey, hey! Cut that music. Hey, Roman! I just want you to know, you want me to grow up? I'll grow up when you grow some balls because you might call yourself a gentlemen, but right now, it's good. Everyone knows you're just a bitch!"
I stood there with anger written on my face. I refused to give into his words and went to the back with Jey and Paul.
