Karan (to himself) - Mera towel to already yaha hai. I should take a bath also!

In a few seconds, the shower was on, and Karan was drenched in the furious drops of water. He was enjoying the warm water droplets on his body which were relaxing his contracted muscles and were freshening his mind as well.

Soon he was out of the washroom with his towel tied around his waist displaying his whole body. The water droplets were streaming down his well-built body and were seeming appealing to anyone's view.

Suddenly, the door opened, and Karan got quite surprised due to the sudden commotion. It was Supriya who has come with his cup of coffee. Karan got awkward as he's now a grown up and he can't be half naked in front of his mother. So, he quickly started wearing the shirt over his wet body being embarrassed. 

Karan (awkwardly) - Maa? A..ap yaha?

Supriya - Haan, teri coffee dene aayi thi. Lekin tu kitna careless hai! Aise bina kapdo ke khada hai, Monami aa jati to? Tujhe pata hai pehle main use hi bhejne wali thi, lekin fir yaad aaya ki ye to mere bete ki purani aadat hai...room ka door bina lock kiye nahane jana!

Karan (murmuring)- Awkward sirf Monami ke hone se thode hi hota hoon. Aap bhi to aa gaye!

Karan just murmured his words to himself, but Supriya heard them. She frowned a bit and twisted his ear as if he's a 5-year-old kid. He winced in pain and Supriya chuckled seeing his dramebaaz antics. 

Supriya (leaving his ear) - Beta ji, main maa hoon teri! Maine tujhe ye aadha nanga kya pura ka pura nangu-pangu bhi dekha hai! Bhool gaya, kaise bachpan mein kapde na pehenne ke liye rota rehta tha?!

Karan got embarrassed listening to his 'Bachpan ki harkatein' and his face instantly went red. He went to Supriya and hid herself in the pallu of her saree to which she chuckled cutely.

Supriya - Chal chal, ab zyada drame mat kar aur jaldi neeche aaja nashte ke liye!

Karan nodded and gulped down his coffee quickly. They both went to the dining room together witnessing Monami & Raghuveer laughing whole heartedly. Supriya was feeling very happy as Monami was missing her parents since quite a few days and now seeing her bonding well with Raghuveer, she felt much peace in her heart. While Karan, who was standing on the staircase beside Supriya, felt a bit insecure about his father loving Monami like his own daughter and not thinking about his biological son even once. He absentmindedly marched towards Monami & Raghuveer and immediately hugged his father making the other three surprised. 

Karan (in sugar coated voice) - Good morning dad! Kaise hain aap? Aap ki tabiyat to theek hai na?

Raghuveer - Beta, meri tabiyat to theek hai lekin shayad teri kharab ho gayi hai! Itna pyaar! Vo bhi apni maa se nahi, apne baap se? Monami beta, zara dekh kar to aana..aaj suraj kaha se uga hai?

Supriya and Monami chuckled and went to the kitchen to fetch breakfast for everyone. Karan took a seat beside Raghuveer and side-hugged him. 

Karan (thinking of Monami) - Dad, zaroori thode hi hai ki sirf 'koi aur' hi aapse pyaar jataye. Main bhi jata sakta hoon. 

By the time Karan completed his words, Supriya & Monami came from the kitchen with the breakfast and started serving it to everyone. Listening to Karan's 'koi aur', Monami chuckled as she remembered the scenario that took place between SuVeer in the morning. 

Monami (sitting beside Karan) - Haan haan, Karan ji sirf (eyeing Supriya) 'koi aur' hi kyu, aap bhi uncleji ko pyaar jata sakte hain!

Saying so Monami chucked and SuVeer choked on their breakfast. Monami passed them water and they gulped it down in one go while blushing. Monami chuckled internally looking at SuVeer's red faces, while Karan was all clueless. Shrugging off the discussion, Karan decided to concentrate on the breakfast instead. As he lifted up the lid, his eyes twinkled upon seeing his favorite Aloo Paratha with desi butter and halwa, which is one of his favorite sweets. 

Karan (excitedly) - Maa! Aapko yaad raha ki mujhe Aloo paratha aur halwa pasand hai?!

Supriya - Beta, ek baar ko bache maa ko bhool sakte hain magar maa bacho ko nahi bhool sakti. Mujhe to yaad hi tha ki mere bache ko kya pasand hai!

Monami's eyes got wet upon remembering the moments she spent with her parents. Before anyone could notice she rushed to the kitchen, making an excuse to get everyone the tea. Her eyes were definitely noticed by everyone, especially Karan. He saw the pain which he used to have in his eyes when he was in USA, away from his family. 

He looked towards his parents and found them looking concernedly towards Monami's retreating figure.

Karan (in whispering tone) - Maa-pitaji, Monami aise kyu chali gayi?

Supriya (in the same tone) - Vo apne parivaar ko miss kar rahi hogi!

Before Karan could query further, Monami was back with a tray of tea and stabled self. She was serving tea to everyone and SuVeer were trying to not to make her conscious and were focusing on their plates. While Karan was constantly staring at her. He was feeling as if he wants to do so forever, he wants to stare those hazel brown orbs forever.

Monami (little loudly) - Karan ji!

Karan (coming out from his lala land) - Ha..haan, kya hua? Chilla kyu rahi ho?

Monami - Kabse aapko bula rahi hoon, kya ghoor rahe thhe aap?

Just then, Karan realized that unknowingly he was lost in Monami and was so busy that he couldn't hear her calling him. He was actually very embarrassed as his parents were passing suspicious looks to him along with Monami. 

Karan (trying to cover up) - Na..nahi vo main..zara kuchh soch raha tha!

Monami nodded being unsatisfied with his answer and again took place beside him.

Raghuveer - Karan, maine socha tha ki jab tu India vapis aa jaega, tab main tere haathon se gaon ke sabhi logo ko mithai aur kambal dilwaunga. Ek kaam karte hain sab, jaldi se breakfast karte hain aur taiyaar ho jate hain. Fir hum sab saath mein tahseel chalenge aur vaha pe ye karyakram hoga.

Karan and Supriya nodded and started completing their breakfast being excited. While there was someone who had colors from her face vanished. Monami was getting nervous due to unexpressed reasons and was trying to act normal and was smiling forcefully.

Karan (in mind) - Ye Monami ko kya ho raha hai? Ye itni nervous kyu lag rahi hai? Aur ye apne parents ko miss kyu karti hai? Aren't they alive or something?

Several questions were roaming in Karan's mind, but he knew that he has no right to ask Monami anything about her personal life. But he himself was very surprised and didn't knew the reason that why is he so much bothered about her. Shrugging off the instincts of his brain, Karan just concentrated on his breakfast, and everyone started having their meal with sweet silence all over.
