Athena could still hear the celebrations going on outside, she was kneeling down on one knee in front of the council. Master Yoda had summoned her and only her. Yoda was standing next to a Kel Dor man she hadn't met before, but she had seen him at Qui-Gon's funeral.

" Summoned you, I have " Yoda began " Your Master, to introduce to you ".

" Hello, I am Master Ploo Koon " Ploo Koon says introducing himself

" Hello Master Ploo Koon, I'm Athena Amidala " Athena says introducing herself as she bowed to him.

" Starting today, I will be your Master and you my Padawan, I promise to train you to be one of the finest Jedi " Ploo Koon says.

" I will not fail you, when do we start? ". Athena says with determination on her face and Ploo Koon smiled at her.

" I like her already " Ploo Koon says to Yoda.

Athena smiled as she ran towards her sister, Padmè opens her arms and wraps her in a hug and spun her shorter and lighter sister.

The sister haven't seen each other for 7 years, with Athena being training to be a Jedi. Her Master Ploo Koon had been training Athena continuously and she rarely had any breaks to visit her sister and as for Anakin and Obi-Wan she hasn't them since the celebration on Naboo 10 years ago.

" It's so good to see you again, I've missed you so much Thena " Padmè says smiling as they both pulled away " And you've grown so much " Athena smiles at her sister as Padmè gets a better look at her.

Athena was twenty now and she had grown more beautiful.

Athena was a couple inches shorter than Padmè, so she had to slightly look up to smile at her sister " But you'll always be my little sister " Padmè says smiling.

" And you'll always be my big sister, who is now a Senator " Athena gushed proudly as both sister started to walk to Chancellor Palpatine's office " First, Queen and now, Senator ".

" They tried to amend the constitution, so I can serve third term " Padmè explained.

" But, popularity is not a democracy " Athena quoted with a smirk and Padmè laughed, nodding her head.

" Yep, although I couldn't refuse Queen Jamilia's request of me serving as Senator " Padmè says.

Before Padmè's second term had ended, Athena decided to completely step down as Princess of Naboo. The council of Naboo tried convince her not to, in hopes that Athena would step away from her Jedi duties and come back to serve as Queen of Naboo. But her training was important to her and she had grown quite close to Ploo Koon over the years, they consider each other as family.

" I understand " Athena says as both sisters reached the Chancellor's office for a meeting Athena was requested to go to " By the way, do you know what this meeting is about? ".

Padmè nodded " yes....But I think it's best, if you find out with everyone present ".

Athena gives her a confused look as they both entered the room, Chancellor Palpatine was already there waiting for the sisters at his desk. Master Yoda, Master Ki-Adi, Master Windu and Master Ploo Koon were waiting for them as well.

" Masters " Athena gasped surprised before she bowed at them, then walks to stand next to them with Padmè on the other side of Athena.

" It's good to see the Amidala sisters reunited again " Palpatine says smiling " Athena, we have important matters to discuss with you ".

Athena nodded " Is it why, we're all meeting here today? ".

" Yes, young Padawan " Master Ki-Adi answered.

" Given, your unique position of formerly being the Princess of Naboo as well  your political skills and knowledge " Palpatine began to explain.

" And you're growing skills and knowledge as a Jedi " Master Ploo Koon added.

" We would like to offer you an equally unique position " Palpatine says as he glanced at Padmè.

" We would like you to serve, along side me " Padmè explained to her sister.

" As much as I would like to serve by your side again, I cannot just step away from my Jedi duties and training " Athena says.

" Stop your training, you will not " Yoda spoke up " continue, you will ".

" We have created, a new position specifically for you " Palpatine informed " You will serve as Jedi Senator of Naboo ".

" Jedi Senator? " Athena questioned.

" While there are no rules or codes that say a Jedi cannot be a Senator as well as a Jedi Knight " Master Ploo Koon explained " There has never been a Senator, who was also a Jedi. Jedi are typically at the Jedi temple from a very young age and usually barely remember their home planets to even serve as Senator, but given your situation and how you began your training at a much older age. And you have been taught to serve as a Princess and Senator and actually served as a princess formally, you gave a unique and very rare opportunity to be the first ever Jedi Senator ".

" Keep training and becoming a Jedi Knight you will, but also a Senator you will be. Difficult it may be, but strong faith in you we all have. A bridge between the Senate and Jedi you could be " Yoda explained further to Athena.

" You already have the approval of Queen Jamilia and the council of Naboo. Everyone has approved the idea and would like for you to be the Jedi Senator of Naboo " Padmè says to her sister.

" The question is, if your willing to do it " Palpatine finished.

Athena looked around the room and was met with the hopeful eyes of everyone, she looks at her Master. Master Ploo Koon, who gives her a reassuring nod. She then looks at her sister, who give her a hopeful smile. Athena looked to the ground, taking it all in before she looks at Chancellor Palpatine.

" Yes, I'll be the Jedi Senator of Naboo " Athena says determined.

" Are you sure, you'll be okay? " Ploo Koon asked Athena as they both walked over to her ship. Athena was going back to Naboo to discuss the plans on the voting of the Military Creation Act with Padmè.

The Military Creation Act was a big topic right now in the Galactic Senate and The Jedi Council. It was proposed by the Senate to allow Galactic Republic form a army to fight the Separatists, otherwise know as the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Separatists were a group of star systems, who wished to leave the Republic and wanted independence from the Republic. They were starting to break away from the Republic and a war was coming, if nothing was done to stop it.

However, it isn't a simple task to pass The Military Creation Act, there was The Loyalist Committee. which consists of senators, who oppose The Military Creation Act. Padmè, being one of these senators. Athena knew why, because she was opposed to this act as well. As a Jedi, she was a keeper of peace and as a Senator of Naboo, she understood very well that Naboo's ability to defend itself and wanting to decide it's own destiny and a creation of a Republic army would be a violation of this.

But nevertheless, there was a lot of pressure on Athena as the one and only Jedi Senator.

Athena was the bridge between the council and the senate, the Jedi council entrusted her to make the best decision. The council wished to remain as peacekeepers and a last resort for protection, the Jedi aren't soldiers and do not wish to serve as soldiers for this war and quite frankly, there was not enough Jedi to protect the entire republic.

However, the senate was a different story. Because the heavy influence, Athena had with many of the senators. She was torn between the two sides, she was opposed to the act and sided with her sister and the other senators, but she also understood that it was very likely, that the possible war was unavoidable. So there is somewhat of a need for a army, but there is her wants and beliefs that she grew up with and Athena didn't want to force innocent people into a war, it would be against everything she believed in.

The senators that were for the act, were very disappointed to learn that Athena sided with the Loyalists Committee. They desperately wanted her influence along with everyone else, because of her being the only Jedi Senator and all of her prior knowledge, skills and relationships from, when she was Princess of Naboo. And because she opposed it, many other senators started to oppose the act as well.

" I'll be okay, Master " Athena replied as the entrance of her ship opened " I'll return in a few days for the voting of the military creation act ".

Travelling back to Naboo to discuss things with Padmè, was something Athena did often. She was always gone for a few days and would return back to her Jedi duties, once her senator duties were done. Athena was always very busy and carried a lot on her shoulders, especially for a 23 year old. But she was proud of her work and did it happily.

" The council appreciates everything, you do as a Jedi Senator and as my Padawan " Ploo Koon says smiling at Athena, she was about to reply but suddenly there was a disturbance in the force " Athena, get down ".

Athena ducked as a blaster blot barely misses her head, it hits the side of her ship and she turns and sees the burn mark it left. The metal sizzled from from the heat of the blast, Ploo Koon quickly ignited his blue lightsaber as Athena ignited her purple one. There were more blaster bolts being shot at Athena and Ploo Koon as they both blocked them with their lightsabers, Athena quickly looked around but she couldn't pin-point, where the blasts were coming from. Athena missed the blast, it grazes her arm and she hisses in pain as Ploo Koon turned to her.

" Athena, get on your ship and go " Ploo Koon ordered.

" But, Master " Athena tried to argue as she wasn't one to run or flee from a fight.

" That's an order from your Master, Padawan " Ploo Koon yelled as he shielded Athena from the blasts with his light saber.

Athena stood their for a moment before she switched off her lightsaber and puts it on her belt. She quickly got on her ship and closed the entrance. She went to the pilots seat and turns on the ship, as the ship rose, the blaster shots followed her, completely ignoring Ploo Koon. Athena winced as she stretched her hurt arm to pull a leaver, the ship turned and took of into the sky.

Ploo Koon watched as the blasts continued on try and shot her Padawan down, but Athena went into hyperdrive for a quicker escape. The blaster shots stopped as soon as Athena's ship disappeared. Ploo Koon looked around and tried to find the source of the attack, he spots someone running away quickly from a roof top of one of the nearby buildings. Ploo Koon quickly put his lightsaber away and ran towards the person, hoping to catch up to them as he watched the person hop down to the ground.

But when he reached, where he expected to find, the person that attack his Padawan. there was just a crowd of people and he tried to look around but couldn't find the person. Ploo Koon sighed in frustration before hurrying back to the Jedi temple, to report what had happened.

Athena hissed as she bandaged her hurt arm, she had so many things going through her head, wondering, why someone was trying to kill her. She would have to wait until she got to Naboo to find out and hear from the council. She finished wrapping her arm as the ship came out of hyperdrive and Athena sees her home planet in front of her, so she guided her ship to the landing dock of the palace.
