1) — TELEPATHIC POWERS

. . . The angel can read or sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally or affect their minds and thoughts. Has two common abilities or categories; Telepathic Communication which is the ability to transmit information from one mind to another and Telepathic Perception, which is the ability to receive information from another mind knowing an opponent's moves and attacks.

Pushing up her round reading-glasses, Chi blows out a huff of air, as she tries to keep her focus on the thick book splayed out in front of her. Leaning back in her stool-chair, she stretches her body feeling how the bones in her back crack slightly, the yearning from sitting in the library for so long aching in her body.

She lets out a frustrated groan as she glances down on the scribbled notes regarding telepathy, the handwriting so hard to read due to the fountain pen, the black ink smeared at some points.

Running a hand through her loose hair, Chi finds herself procrastinating as she's always had a bad habit of doing whenever she's trying something she's not good at.

She's been sitting in the huge library for several hours by now, noticing how the golden hour is slowly approaching as she turn her gaze over her shoulder and glance in the direction of the sunlight shining through the large oval window, lying on the tiled marble floor like sweet honey.

She's been surrounded by other studying angels all day long, their small whispers and sips over mindfulness-tea served as her company. But now as she's sitting in the grand library this late afternoon she's almost all by herself.

Telepathy is not one of her classes, at least not yet. This is pure self-studying and Chi knows that it takes more of her than to beat around the bush like this. Especially if she ever wants to have a chance to be able to have a telepathic connection with her mother.

These past weeks, the thought of her mother and older brother takes up most of her time whenever she's off from classes. She's been having this gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach, the feeling of guilt and the missing of a final closure. She never meant to die, she never meant to leave her family so suddenly. Thinking about her mother makes a lump form in her throat.

She can clearly picture her, her white and dark-blue checkered apron with the bow in front of her stomach. The aromas of her fresh baking comes flooding into her mind, making her heart leap and there's a moment of serenity. Chi sees her in that apron, arms wide, a hug just a few steps away.

"You're still here?"

A male voice from behind startles Chi in her roaming thoughts as she quickly leads her hand to her face, drying away the tears that has spilled down her cheek.

Breathing in, she turns around and catch sight of one of the black angels — Min Yoongi.

He's wearing his usual black clothes — his perfectly ironed linen pants, a silky button-up shirt where the top buttons has come undone. His usually raven-black hair is now a pretty silver-grey color matching his captivating grey orbs. He push up the thin glasses that's placed on his nose-bridge as he observes the ice-blonde girl, who's sitting still in her seat, her slumped posture giving away her mood.

Chi tries to blink away the tears ready to spill in the corner of her eyes as she force a small smile in the direction of the older angel, nodding her head respectfully to him.

"Uh— yes. Have you been here as well?" She rank her back slightly, clearing her throat as she turn around in her seat and watch how Yoongi moves across the oak-table and place his pile of books onto it.

"I'm always here." He slyly says as he sits down opposite of Chi, his grey orbs drinking in the younger girl's appearance.
Something has clearly been bugging her, he thinks to himself as he evidently sees the single stain of a dried tear on her rosy cheek.

Rolling his lips together he watch her, noticing how her eyes darts away from his whenever they meet.

"Are you afraid of me?"

Chi's head shoots up and for the first time she looks Yoongi in the eye properly and her breath gets caught in her throat. His grey eyes are like the grey of the last ashes on a fire, tossed up on the breeze; the grey of the ocean an instant before dawn's first rays strike the cold water. They were captivating — beautiful.

Watching how his eyebrows dart up, Chi close her eyes embarrassed before looking at him once more.

"No, I'm not afraid of you. You're just—"
She starts saying, but cuts off her own sentence before finishing it.

Yoongi tilts his head to the side, his eyes narrowing, a small smile pulling at the corners of his pink lips.

"I'm just. . .?"

Chi bites down on her bottom lip cowardly, internally screaming at herself.

"How should I put it. . . You're quite— intimidating, I guess." Her voice is small, her fingers playing with one of the papers in her book.

Yoongi hums to himself before leaning back in his chair, his brows furrowing slightly as he watch Chi-Sun intensely — his mind easily entering hers as he sees an image of an elder woman with a checkered apron, a younger male, a box of hair-dye, a fast-moving car. . .

"Why are you studying the power of telepathy?" Yoongi's voice is dry, but a warm tone lies underneath it as he watches how Chi's eyebrows shoots up in surprise.

"How did you know I'm—" Chi trails off before tilting her head questionable, a small smile on her lips, "You just read my mind."

"Indeed I did. And I also know that you haven't reached that class yet. So. . . Elaborate, please." He leans forward, snatching the thick book from Chi's reach and put it in his lap running through the pages casually.

"No specific reason. It's a cool power to have."

Yoongi looks up from the book, a stern look on his face. "You're lying."

Chi's lips part at his accusation, feeling how her cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"I want to know how my mother is doing. How she's feeling, I mean. . . She's probably devastated." Chi's tone in her voice wavers, her shoulders slumping down as she looks at the black angel opposite of her.

Yoongi lets out an almost silent sigh, drumming his fingers on his thigh swiftly.

"That's a bad idea, Chi-Sun."

"Why? I just want to see if she's doing okay. And if my brother is—"

"You can't just interfere with humans now, honey. Especially not your family. You'll only end up getting hurt yourself, and you wouldn't want that now, would you?" Yoongi states, his stare darkening slightly as he glares at the vulnerable girl.

"You know what — just forget about it."
Chi grits out through her teeth, standing up from her chair, not wanting the black angel to see the tears in the corners of her eyes that are ready to spill any second.

"I'll help you."

Stopping in her tracks, Chi clutches the book to her chest as she turns around and look at Yoongi, who's still sitting in his seat his head slumped back on the headrest of the chair, his grey strands of hair falling backwards beautifully.

"W—What?" Chi breathes out, her brows furrowed.

"I'll teach you the telepathy power. On one condition." He slowly rises from his seat, grabbing one book in particular, which must be the one that Darcie had told her about before. The one with all of the missions of the 7 black angels.

With her eyes lingering on the black book for a while, she doesn't even notice that Yoongi is now standing right in front of her.

Leading his pointer to Chi-Sun's chin he tilts up her head, his grey eyes swallowing her frame, it feels like. If she look closer at his them, so close like he is just now, she suddenly sees the swirls of glittering onyx black and tinges of blue at the edge of them. His piercing stare makes her freeze on the spot and Yoongi watches how easily she is to compel, how effective his gaze is towards her.

"You can't use the power on your family. You won't. It will hurt them if you do so. You will hurt them." He speaks, his voice now smooth like velvet, a tinge of sadness in it.

Before registering what's happening, Chi find herself becoming immersed even more into his grey eyes. His pupils dilated, a slight twitch at the edges of them.

"I can't use telepathy on my family. . . It's for the better. I'll only end up hurting them. . ."
Chi mumbles in respond to him, her mind hazy.

"I'm sorry Chi-Sun, but it's for the best. . ." Yoongi murmers almost inaudible as he close his eyes abruptly before opening them once more, seeing how Chi reacts to his compulsion.

She shakes her head a little, before furrowing her brows slightly, confusion painting her delicate features.

Yoongi gently grab her lower arm giving it a small squeeze.

"Are you okay? You seemed a little zoned out just now."

Chi-Sun's lips part slightly before breaking out into a smile.

"I don't know what just happened. . . I'm so sorry," She breathes out slowly, rubbing her face with her hand, "But thank you for wanting to teach me. It means a lot."

"No problem. Let's get going, shall we?" Yoongi nods his head in the direction of the exit of the library, seeing how Chi walks ahead of him making him follow her steps curtly.

Before closing the door, he takes a glance over his shoulders, checking to see if anyone would have seen the two of them, but to his pleasing the library is all empty.

Or so he thought.
