During the entire dinner, Chi couldn't help stealing glances over at the round table where the 7 black angels were sitting, minding their own business while they talked over their plates of food.
Darcie is still telling Chi about the rules in heaven, but somehow Darcie's distinctive voice that sounds like soft, feminine bells drowns away as she keep her gaze firm on the black males at the table nearby.
She narrows her eyes slightly, her glare shifting from each and every one of them.
The first one she spots is Jimin sitting comfortably laid back, his plate empty as he fills up a bench on his own, his back resting on the wall, while his legs are stretched forward. Chi watches him as he laughs out loud, his body leaning forward in excitement, his white teeth showing in a perfectly pearly smile, one of his front teeth slightly crooked. Probably the only flaw about him, which isn't even a flaw — it has a certain charm to it.
The one he's laughing at is sitting to his right, pushing him playfully on the shoulder. It's a very strong-featured man, the bones in his face very prominent, somehow making him have this resting-bitch-face attitude it seems. He has a full upper lip, his lips falling downwards naturally, but that is in great contrast to the wide boxy-smile displayed on his lips as he laughs along with Jimin. His black hair falls beautifully down into his dark-brown eyes, his strong brows still evident from behind his bangs.
"The one you're drooling over right now is Kim Taehyung, FYI. He's a popular one among the young angels here."
Darcie's voice interrupts Chi's thoughts making her blink fast and shake her head before looking at Darcie, who's smirking at her while twirling a fork of carbonara inside her mouth.
"I wasn't drooling. . ." Chi defends herself, before glancing at the table once more.
"What's that spot on your dress, then?" Darcie points at her gown, making Chi widen her eyes and look down at herself, and to her surprise Darcie bops her nose playfully.
"Got ya!"
The two girls burst out in giggles before Darcie leans closer to Chi, putting her precious carbonara aside for a little as she discreetly points her finger in the direction of the 7 black angels.
"Okay, so next in line. . ."
Next to Kim Taehyung was a smaller man, not small — but smaller than the others. Probably the same size as Jimin, Chi thought to herself. But despite that, he radiates so much confidence just by slumping back in his seat, his hand busy scribbling down notes in a thick book splayed out on the wooden table. His long fingers move their way to his dark-grey strands of hair, rustling the hair swiftly, before continuing his writing — his tongue poking out of his pink, pouty lips while doing so. His skin is milky-white, the surface so perfect it's hard to actually believe — eyes small, sleepy and triangular, but somehow soft at the same time.
"Min Yoongi. In charge of their missions, both as a group and individually. Keeps track of all of them in that thick ass book of his, that he keeps with him at all times. Truly a masterpiece when you see him up close, his eyes are the same color as his hair. . . Those grey eyes staring at you can make you go weak girl, I'm telling you right now."
Chi giggles at Darcie's commentary while moving her gaze further down the seats, now landing on another, whose shoulders are bopping alongside a beat he's making himself, making the other men chuckle at him.
Chi smiles herself as she's watching him, his face somehow very unique. It's long and with a strong jawline, his cheekbones high and prominent. His legs are long, his building slim and neat. His ears are filled with various kinds of rings, dangling ones falling from his left ear. His dark-brown hair is pushed back, his forehead showing slightly, showing off his strong brows.
"That's Jung Hoseok. Hoseok by us, Hobi to them. He's a real charmer, always spreading positive energy within the group. He's often the one who has the hardest time getting over a tough mission, considering that he's the one that has to keep the others high in spirit as well. So he often tends to forget to take care of himself."
Next to Hoseok is a tall man as well, his chest more buff and bulky than the others. He's wearing a tight black turtleneck, making his body pop off even more. His biceps are bulging in the shirt, his long legs stretched out under the table. His black hair is parted at the side, half of his forehead on display. His eyes are bigger than the others, a more doe-look to them with double eyelids, his upper lip smaller than his lower lip. His jawline is probably able to cut Chi in half, so strong and prominent.
She swallows harshly at the thought of leaving small kisses on it. He's busy eating still, obviously wanting something to burn off in the gym later or something like that.
"Jeon Jungkook. The muscle in the group. But also the youngest, funny enough. He's always in the front regarding missions and when they're on earth, he's often the one they use as bait whenever they need to. He's the most likable out of them, quite popular among girls as well. I've talked with him a few times, he seems nice enough — he's often at the nurse to get some part of his wings stitched back together cause he often gets into fights with the other normal angels. . . The one next to him is their leader."
Following Darcie's eyes her own lands on a man standing up, his tall frame impressive. His legs are long and strong, his upper body clad in a fitting tight blouse, covered by a black blazer. His skin is slightly more tanned, a pair of black-framed round glasses resting on the bridge of his nose. His eyes are a light-blue, an entrancing color to get lost within, Chi thinks. His hair is a pretty lilac color, parted in the middle and falls down his features beautifully. A small smile strikes his face, showing off a pair of dimples swiftly, making Chi gush on the inside. His lips are thick and pink as he takes ahold of his bottom lip, while having a conversation with the others.
"Kim Namjoon. One of the smartest angels in heaven, if not the smartest. The Arch Angels just won't admit, I guess. . . He's always the one in meeting with the Arch Angels, and rumor has it he was the first black angel out of all of them. But that's not for sure. He's like crazy wise. A lot of the angels often ask him for help if they have any questions regarding human lives, since he's interfering a lot with those when they're working on earth." Darcie speaks lowly, finishing the last bite of her pasta, "And last but certainly not least, Kim Seokjin."
Only being able to see his side-profile, Chi studies closely as she watches the last male sit in silence at the table while watching the other six men.
His body looks tall as well, his legs extremely long, while his shoulders are broad and firm it seems. From the side, his lips looks thick and glistens as he licks them occasionally, making Chi bite her bottom lip unintentionally. His jawline is strong as he sits, his elbows placed on the table surface, his hands folded in front of him, one of his long fingers drumming on the table. His skin flawless, glowing in the faint sheer light from the chandeliers from above.
"Jin is the oldest in the group. He takes care of the others whenever they're in trouble with us normal angels or the Arch Angels. He's famous for his handsome looks in all of heaven, and they often use him as the flirtatious and deceiving one whenever they're on earth doing missions. I can tell why you'd jump into a trap like that, wouldn't you say? He's so handsome. . . But he's very reserved otherwise. Not many has talked to him, not even me — at least not alone. I guess. . . . . ."
Darcie keeps talking but Chi is too entranced by Jin to listen to her for any longer. Just by looking at him — how he tilts his head making his neck more visible to Chi makes her cheeks warm up. His long eyelashes blinks every now and then, how his lips roll against each other, an occasional lip bite whenever he's focusing on something. Chi shouldn't be staring like this, she knows someone could catch her in the act, but for now all she can think about is how sexy Jin is looking, and that's without doing anything. She bets he's so good. . . Oh fuck.
Swallowing harshly she freezes in her spot as a pair of dark-brown eyes pierce into her own, doing exactly what she feared the most. Caught her in the act of undressing him with her mind. Jin stares back at her, his stare lustreless as he watches the unknown girl sitting a few tables from their own.
"Way to go Chi, now we have to go over there and introduce you to them, you dumb fucker. Okay. . . calm down and get up with me." Darcie chugs down her glass of white wine to be filled with courage as she drags up Chi next to her, noticing how she's fighting against it.
"Darcie no, what the fuck are you—"
"Well, hello there boys, lovely breeze up here tonight, huh?" Darcie says, a small hiccup following her sentence making her put on an embarrassed smile as she greets the 7 black angels, all staring back at her.
"Lovely breeze indeed, Darcie. You're looking gorgeous tonight, by the way. So does your friend." The one named Taehyung sends a sly wink in her direction, making Darcie clear her throat nervously, bowing at him as a thank-you.
"What brings you over here Miss Yung?" Namjoon asks casually, his arms crossed over his chest, his arms flexed under his blazer.
"I— I wanted to. . ."
"I wanted to greet Jimin once again and apologize for my nervous appearance earlier today." Chi speaks up and steps in front of the usual confident Darcie, who's widening her eyes in surprise at her friend.
Chi bows at Jimin, keeping her eyes at him as their gazes lock, to which he responds by a smirk and a small nod.
"No worries, babe. Everyone is nervous on their first day in heaven, right guys?"
"I know I was for sure." Jungkook confirms with a small smile, rolling his sleeves up on his arms, showing off his underarms that are covered in black tattoos in various designs, making Chi drop her mouth a little.
"Well, that was all for now, I guess. . . Sorry for disturbing you guys." She grabs Darcie's hand for them to turn around and head in the other direction, but a dark voice stops her in their tracks.
"So what's your name? Or is it just newbie?"
Slowly turning around Chi swallows as she sees Jin's gaze fall upon her smaller frame, somehow his stare lingers on her, making goosebumps raise on her entire body.
"Me?" Chi points at herself questiongly.
"Yes. You're the only newbie I see here." Jin's voice is stoic as he leans forward, propping himself up, resting his head on his fist.
"My name is Lee Chi-Sun." Chi bows politely.
"Chi-Sun? That reminds me of a girl I was with a while back. . ." Taehyung ponders to himself, his eyebrow shooting up as he looks at Chi once more, "Ring a bell?"
"Nope." Chi says, popping the p.
"You sure? I'm pretty certain I fucked a girl with that name before. . ." Taehyung smirks.
"I guess you wish." Chi winks back at him, making him widen his eyes a tiny bit, but still enough to make Chi notice, before she turn around on her heels and grab the still silent Darcie by the hand and run out of the dining hall.
Leaving behind 7 black angels now all curious about Lee Chi-Sun.
