Chi-Sun rubs her eyes tiredly, her entire body in a complete lack of energy as she trots through heaven, her ending station seemingly close.
Azrael had sent a white pigeon to her dorm this morning with a message to her, but considering how harsh the pigeon crashed onto Chi's head as she was still sleeping, she's not exactly in a peachy mood. The note didn't say much, only that Azrael was expecting her on the grand square at 6:30AM and that she had to come alone.
Chi considered staying in, her body almost glued to her bed it seemed like, the warm duvet smothering her small frame as she rolled her eyes at the note this morning.
But here she is, on her way to meet Azrael, a bagel with creme cheese in one hand and a orange-juice box in the other. As she's running late, she blows away the strands of ice-blond hair that's falling down in her face, but as the tickling gets the best of her she stops up at the top of the stairs to the square, placing the half-eaten bagel in her mouth while she starts searching for a hair-tie in her loose-fitted white sweatshirt.
Groaning in annoyance, Chi squeals as she finds the hair tie, but as she does so, the bagel in her mouth drops, and all she can do is watch in slow-motion as the deliciousness drops down onto the concrete stairs.
"Not my bagel. . ." She whines, pushing out her bottom lip slightly as she sighs out loud.
"That's a shit load of carbs right there Chi-Chi. Stop whining."
Chi jumps at the sudden booming voice, blinking a few times as she realizes Azrael is at the end of the stairs, his eyes judgingly staring at her morning-state.
Today his long, blonde hair is loose, the length reaching just past his shoulders, the glowing strands softly blowing in the morning breeze.
Chi walks down the stairs tiredly, her posture slumping as she approaches Azrael more.
She furrows her brows as she studies him further, his long gown traded out with a pair of loose-fitting shorts and a long-sleeved t-shirt. All white of course. Angel to the bone.
"You look like you had a rough morning, girl." Azrael crosses his arms over his chest, a obnoxious grin plastered onto his thin lips.
Chi purse her lips before clenching her jaw slightly.
"That's because your shitty ass pigeon landed right on my head as I was sleeping! Are you crazy sending that thing so fucking early in the morning? I woke up the entire dorm with my—"
Azrael puts up a finger, indicating Chi to keep quiet as she's waving her arms around her body.
"Would you cut the whining? You look like a flapper bird on crack right now. Not charming." He raises his eyebrows before turning around, moving his way further out on the huge square, the white marble tiles reflecting his moving body.
The clouds are softly blowing around the square, the surroundings reminding her of a white winter back on earth, the heavy, crystal-white clouds ready to spill pretty snowflakes at any time. Chi groans out, before closing her eyes and breathe out, her smaller steps following the tall male out onto the square.
"Okay, Azrael. . . Then what am I doing here at this hour?"
Azrael turns around, a playful glint to his eyes as he puts on a big smile at the small woman. He claps his hands, making Chi jump at the loud sound, before he rubs his hands together mysteriously.
"You're here because you need practice. That's what the square is for!"
Chi looks around, their surroundings all empty, no other angels in sight. She bites her bottom lip in thought, her eyebrow cocking up as she looks at Azrael once more.
"Practice for what?"
"Oh Lord. . . What did I do to get this task?" He mumbles to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose, trying to keep patient with her.
"You need practice for several things, Chi-Chi. You need to find your powers—"
"That's a good idea! Let's do that!" Chi chimes in excitement at the mention of powers, earning back a frown from Azrael. She wants to have a power just like Darcie has, the one where you can make dead or still things turn alive.
"Yeah. . . I think not." He points at her, a mocking smile on his face, "First things angels learn is how to fight. How to protect themselves from others, how to approach a human in fight, and most importantly, to protect your wings from any harm."
Chi's mouth drops as he lists the things for her.
"I can't fight. I've never been in a fight my entire life!"
"Girl — trust me. I'm sure you can fight. You're feisty as fuck." Azrael nods in her direction as he circles around her slowly, his eyes falling to her body.
White jogging pants, a white hoodie, slightly cropped, showing a bit of her abs that she has surprisingly. Her ice-blond hair tied up in a messy bun, her face bare and of course, her brows furrowed as she watches him back.
"And besides that, you'll have the best teacher." Azrael shrugs proudly.
"I don't want to fight you, Azrael." Chi hiss, crossing her arms as she glares at the Arch Angel.
Azrael comes closer to her, his frame towering over hers as he lowers himself to her level, his hands falling onto the top of her shoulders, gently squeezing them.
"Oh Chi-Chi. . . I'm not the one you'll be fighting," His smirk grows upon his lips as he tilts his head to the right, "Those two are."
Swallowing thickly, Chi watch as the lower gate from the inside of heaven opens, catching sight of two figures moving swiftly across the white marble tiles.
She turns her head more, her eyes narrowing as she watches them come closer, goosebumps forming in the back of her neck. Trying to keep her posture, her arms remains crossed over her chest as she's hoping that her eyes are deceiving her and what's coming towards her is something she's imagining.
But it's not. What's coming is two black angels.
Kim Seokjin and Jeon Jungkook.
