Buggy was staring at a fully submerged (Y/N) inside the tank of ocean water, head tilted to the side as a wicked grin rested over his face, and placed is gloved hand onto the tank, "You want out, fox? You know the price you have to pay."

Her hair was floating around her head in the water, eyebrows raised up at him before a smirk appeared, and tapped a finger against the glass to signal to the two she spotted in the shadows of the tents entrance.

Buggy whipped his head around to face a glaring Luffy with one of his fists in his palms, and Nami flipping up her staff to chuck it straight into the tank. It creates a decent sized crack on the glass, as the staff flies back into her grasp.

The glass began to crack expanding from the first break, her (E/C) eyes narrowing down menacingly on Buggy's panicking figure, "Where are my freaks?!" He exclaimed, not seeing anyone from his crew around to help him out.

Zoro came out from the shadows of another entrance, a stoic glare on his face looking at the male who tortured his captain, and grunts out,"They're not coming."

Finally the glass making cracking noises behind them all breaks off the tanks frame, freeing a half conscious (Y/N) that fell out off it along with the water, and soaked the ground of the stage, as the pirate clown got caught in it also trying to dodge it.

Luffy despite knowing the sea water was his weakness to his power, had his body in her way to catch her back against his stomach, and it sent them both slipping along the wet floor towards the barricades of the stage.

She coughs and heaves up the water in her lungs, wheezing out breathes of air as he was sat up with her, and placed a hand on her back, patting it slightly to bring the water up.

"Are you alright!? (N/N)?!" He exclaimed his question once her coughing came to a stop, her weak figure falling against his chest again as he pushed the wet hair out of her face, and didn't realise that he dropped the map in the process of saving his younger sister.

She groans tiredly in response to her brother, clothes on her body no longer feeling comfortable as they were sticking because of the water, and spotted her straw hat with her bag a few meters away, "My stuff-" She croaks.

Luffy furrowed his brows worriedly glancing away from her resting on his chest, seeing where the bag and hat was, "I'll get them, don't worry." He reassured gently, and stretched his arm over to grab the items for her.

At the same time Buggy also noticed the map laying near them not being in anyone's grasps, and he gasped trying to scramble up to get it, "My map!"

Standing up he cackles joyfully, holding the long gold tube containing the map tightly in both of his gloved hands. Luffy placed his sisters hat back on her head softly, bag laying next to her legs still holding onto her, and Zoro and Nami both circle with clown with their weapons ready to fight.

The laughing came to a stop when he saw the two around him, "You want a piece of me? Let's see what you got." He declared twirling the map in between his finger, as Zoro went to approach him.

He tried to use his swords to slice through the clown's body, but everywhere he cut just ended up popping out before going back together, as Buggy laughed in the swordsman confused face, "Surprise, shithead!"

Nami joined Zoro's side in the middle of the stage under the spotlight, watching as Buggy laughed manically now while his body came apart, and flew around the two.

"How am I supposed to slice a guy who's already in pieces?" The green haired male spoke loudly over the breeze being created by Buggy, him being back to back with Nami as they tried to follow the pieces flying around.

"This is not part of the plan." She retorted just as loud to him, both of them breaking away from each other to block the on coming body parts the best they could.

Nami was pushed back off balance causing her to yell out, and was flipped over the barricaded around the stage by Buggy's feet to land against the sand grunting, as she lost her grip on the staff mid trip.

Zoro tried to stop the boot flying at him with his two swords in a cross, grunting when his back was slammed into the glass tank and was getting pushed back forcefully across the stage despite him trying to fight against the foot.

When the tank went to tip over the barricade also, it sent Zoro also rolling over onto the sand also and landed in a heap with the tank crashing down next to his figure.

(Y/N)'s eyes went wide in fear watching her friends be thrown easily out of the fight, her hands gripping onto Luffy's forearms, "W-we gotta help-" She pants out, and stood up on her wobbly legs with his help, as they stare at Buggy now turning his attention to them.

Buggy made all his body parts come flying back into his actual figure, and transformed back into himself rolling his neck a little, "Ah. Would you look at that? Somebody escaped my tank of doom."

He twirled around one of his gloved fingers at the girl who was now regaining her strength beside a scowling Luffy, and grinned sadistically, "Well, I'll be back to finish you both off. Right after I tear apart your lame excuse for a crew!"

"You can dump seawater on me, and I'll let it slide." She began in a low dangerous tone, face set in a dark glare that had Buggy freaking the slightest seeing hers and Luffy's beside her, "But don't you ever threaten my brother and our friends."

In sync both of the Monkey D. siblings go to act with their powers, (Y/N) brought up her leg to send a powerful blast of air and Luffy winded back his fist behind him, as they both released the hits through Buggy's stomach. Though it came back the two pieces stricken, and back into place like it once was.

Oh, man.... She though to herself sweat dropping seeing that their combined move didn't do anything, and pushed her feet into a defecinse stance, one behind wile the other was a bit out front with her fists raised.

Buggy clicked his tongue at the siblings when his body was back together, and winked also, "So you two want to die first? Be my guest." His arms, and legs break apart now, knives gripped in between his fingers as he swings around his separated arm pieces, "Chop-Chop Cannon!"

Luffy and (Y/N) quickly shared a confident head nod between each other, making sure their hats were on tight before they sprang to action, and ran forward to be met with his flying bodies parts in their way.

She leapt over the parts flying at her, rolling across the ground to land as she pushed herself back up with an airbending blast and flipped over some more grunting. Her knee landing against Buggy's chest once she reached him, as Luffy goes to tackle him and it sent them all toppling onto the wooden stage floor.

However one of Buggy's feet came flying at them from the side, causing the duo to yell out as they were kicked off of him, and rolled against the ground in a heap coming to a stop with her on top of him.

Buggy laughed a cackle watching this happen, getting back up easily as so did the siblings ready for another attack. The clown pirate tilts his head, making his hand fly forward, and stabbed their straw hats of their heads into a wooden pillar behind them.

Her (E/C) eyes go wide in panic at their precious hats getting stabbed, mostly worried for Luffy's one since hers has already received damage from Buggy before. She goes to rush over to grab their hats once they fell, but is punched in the stomach by Buggy's flying fist.

"Hey-!" Luffy went to yell angrily at this happing to his sister, going to use his rubber hands to punch Buggy back in response, but was too knocked backwards by a flying limb, leaving the duo both unable to do anything.

The air gets knocked out of her lungs again at the hit to her stomach, causing her to hunch over with a hand on her stomach, and yelps as she was tripped onto her back by Buggy's flying hand. She lands next to a trapped Luffy, the pirate clows hands wrapped around their throats.

Struggling to breath knowing his sister felt the same, his dark eyes land onto the cluster of creates, chests, boxes, and barrels all around the tenth, "Nami! The crates!"

(Y/N) gasped in a strangled way realising her brothers idea, watching Nami rush over towards the said things as she pressed her palms onto the wood beneath her. She grunts releasing a gust of air out of them, to send her flipping backwards up into the air, and landed onto the stage, trying to rip off the hand around her neck.

Once she got ahold of the hand off her air way, she throws it towards Nami, who hits it with her staff and it flies into one of the chests, as the hand on Luffy's neck gets thrown also, and the chests locked with them inside.

The siblings both get to work with capturing the body pieces flying around them, (Y/N) sending a gust of airbending at one that was sent to Zoro, who stopped it with his swords. He trapped the calf part of Buggy's leg in between his weapons, and chucked that towards the crates with one of his swords.

Oh, wow he looks pretty good with a bandanna.... The (H/C) haired girl thought seeing Zoro's black head piece around him, momentarily distracted by it, and wasn't paying attention to the fight. She yelped when one of Buggy's body pieces flew past her shoulders, and almost knocked her down if it weren't for Luffy's stretchy arms pulling her back up.

The group continued to capture the clown pirates split body pieces, sending them to the crates or Nami who slammed them inside, and closed the lid over the wiggling limbs wanting to break free from the hold.

She reached down to gently pick up her straw hat once all the parts were gone, an upset frown cover her features seeing how it was a bit ripped and cradled it close to her chest, as her bag was shoulder her now.

"What have you done to me?!" Buggy's head dropped down from hovering above the air, and landed on his booted feet on the wooden stage, the only parts left of him now thanks to them.

"Cut you down to size, of course."

"The One Piece will never be yours." He declared angrily at her teasing remark, wiggling his boots around to show how furious he was sneering, "You're just a sad, lonely little girl wearing another man's hat, and who has know idea who or what she really is!"

"At least for now, I know exactly who I am." She confidently placed the straw hat back onto her head, hands resting on her hips as she grinned so widely it made her eyes scrunch up, "I'm Monkey D. (Y/N). And I'm gonna be King of the Pirates with my brother."

She turned to Luffy who was watching her proudly, and gave him a massive smirk this time, fist bumping his shoulder for him to now step in to take over the final hit that would defeat Buggy.

"Gum Gum..." He stretched his arms out far behind his back, ignoring the frantic protests leaving Buggy's mouth, "Bazooka!" He released his arms which sent Buggy launching far out of the tent screaming, and away from the village he once held captive.

(Y/N) giggled happily sharing a high five with her brother afterwards, who laughed with her also and bumped their fists together walking over to their friends picking up the map, and handed it to Nami.

"You're giving this to me?" Nami asked in confusion glancing between the pair in front of her, and gentle took the map out of his hand to slip it safely inside of her bag.

"You're the navigator." They both answered smiling in sync, taking her by shock seeing how similar the siblings were to each other, and pursed her lips in thought.

"Let's get out of this clown show." Zoro's deep voice spoke up from behind (Y/N), causing her to jolt a bit surprised hearing how close he was, and turned around as he went to walk towards the exit.

Before he could thought she quickly grabbed onto his forearm gentle, making him automatically stop to glance down at her with his dark eyes, "Still one more thing we have to do, Zoe." She claimed grinning, before twisting around to march off with Luffy to the villagers.

The swordsman eye twitched at her obvious tease at his name, eyes following her laughing figure with Luffy before sighing to himself, and walked over to twitch on the lights to the tent.

The siblings bent down to where the chains were around the villagers feet, as they were in front of the mayor of the town, and went to pull the hook tied into the metal, hearing the object rattle at the movements.

"Are you our new captors?" The white haired older male who was the mayor questioned them, and it made their heads turn upwards confused, "Well, you're pirates, aren't you?"

They shared a small knowing look between each other at that, slowly standing up from the ground and wore matching grins down at him, "We're different kind of pirates."

Indistinct chatter is heard around all the villagers gathered by Shanks ship, as they gathered to bid the crew far well on their long vouge. Some of them carried crates of supplies, and while others stood their with smiles watching the crew pack the last stuff up.

"Thank you all for you hospitality and the food and the drink." He was announcing to everyone wearing a back coat that covered his missing arm, and his other hand had a very familiar book tucked away, "We'll savour it as long as we can. And lucky with Roux, that should be about three hours."

"If you're lucky!" Roux exclaimed hobbling past the group with a crate full of alcohol, and they all laughed hearing his response, as the crowd slowly began to separate off.

Shanks peeked around some of the villagers still lingering near his ship, spotting the small figure of (Y/N) sitting on some metal boxes in a shed, as her face was hidden in her arms and knees pulled up to her chest.

Tighten his hold on the book in his hand, he made his way over to the girl along the deck and arrived where she was. Shanks already had a conversation with Luffy about protecting her while he would be gone, and gave him his second straw hat, as he had the one a certain someone wore before they met their end all those years ago.

It was quiet between them, with the only sound coming from the pirates and crowd. His eyes look to her again, still seeing her face tucked away, and sat down on a crate in front of her, "I think I'll miss you most of all, (Y/N)."

She shuffled a bit hearing his soft voice now near her, not wanting him to be going away forever to be reality, and lifted her head up a bit to stare at him,"You were right, Shanks. Back when denied Luffy for us to join your crew, I don't think I'm ready for that."

"(Y/N), sweetheart-"

"But when I am," She interrupted her father figure now standing up on the metal box she was on, her fists clenching up by her sides, "I'm gonna be a pirate captain with Luffy with our own ship and a crew that will always have each other's backs. We're gonna be the greatest pirates the world has ever seen. Even greater than your crew."

Her eyes held a determined, and fiery glint to them that had Shanks smiling like a proud father, as she too grinned widely rising her thumb to point to herself, "I'm gonna find the One piece and become King of the Pirates, no matter what people may say!"

"Greater than even us, huh?" He mused teasingly gaining a nose scrunch back from her, and he chuckled seeing that. His gaze then fell onto the old ripped box hidden away, "I was going to wait for your birthday to give this to you," He pulled out the present, and held it out for her to take, "but I think you deserve it more now."

Her big eyes go wide in awe, reaching out her fingers to delicately take the book from him into her gasp. Its leather-bound cover, once rich and maroon had faded into a muted brown, and the edges were frayed from the years of handling. The title 'Prophecy of the Nine-Tail' was barely discernible, etched in ornate, curling script that spoke of a time long past.

Holding the book to her chest, she didn't know what the title meant yet, but still had a joyful smile of gratefulness. She glanced back up at Shanks with her doe eyes, and saw him now taking off his straw hat, smiling warmly at her as he knew that book would help her years to come.

"This hat is the most precious thing I own. It means the world to me, just like the one I gave to Luffy." He admits softly looking at his hat, before back at (Y/N) fondly, "And I want you to take it."

He stands from the spot he was sitting in, placing it onto her head gently and squished down her hair, as he tiled it up when the brim was covering her upper face.

(Y/N)'s eyes filled up with heavy tears threating to fall, but wouldn't let them in front of him, as she wanted to show her father she was strong, and brave like he was.

"When we meet again, you can give it back to me. But only after you become the best pirate that ever lived. That'll be our promise." Shanks blinks back his own emotions, a bittersweet smile over his lips as he rubs his thumb over her cheek tenderly, and wipes the tear that fell down, "Be good, little fox."

Instead of answering him, she bawled her eyes out now letting the hat cover most of her face, and gripped one of the edges with her free hand, not wanting him to leave, as tears flowed down her cheeks like waves and sniffled.

Shanks looked down at (Y/N) with a wary smile, trying his best to look happy but deep down he was hurting the most having to leave her, and Luffy behind. Pushing the hat up a bit that was now hers, he pressed his lips onto her forehead to leave one final fatherly kiss, before stepping back and didn't turn around knowing it would be harder to leave.

As he walked away from her down the deck, her tear blurred gaze follow his figure until he was out of sight. With that, the siblings father figure left them, and the only objects to remembers him by, knowing one day they would surely see each other again.

The scorching sun began to set over the East Blue's vast ocean waters, as her (E/C) eyes fluttered open from thinking about that bittersweet, but important memory in her stage of growing up. She was sat across from Nami on the boat, eagerly watching her fix up her straw hat, as Luffy was fast sleep on the crates near them snoring.

"Almost finished." Nami tells the girl briefly, hands working on snitching up her hat, as she threads the needle through the straw.

(Y/N) glanced up from her bracelets on her wrists as the other held it out for her, "You fixed it." She gaped out in awe taking it gently, and grinned at Nami brightly, "Thank you!"

"Well, Luffy did say they were your treasures, right?" Nami retorted back glancing away from her face shyly, a flush on her cheeks as met her (E/C) eyes, and stands up after sending a small of her own.

"Is every day gonna be this crazy with you?" Zoro's deep voice spoke up after Nami went into the captain's quarters, his back resting against the boats wood and had his dark eyes closed also resting.

She smiled widely making her nose scrunch up, placing back the hat on her head and bounced up from her place to move towards where he was, "Shanks always said that if the path to what you want seems too easy..." She quoted leaning on the ropes, and giggled, "then you're on the wrong path."

His eyes slowly opened up hearing that, blinking a few times because of the sun as he unclenched his jaw, "This Shanks guy sounds all right." He comments moving his now softened gaze onto her, and tilted his head.

She beamed at him nodding in agreement, her hat falling over her face again making her push it back up, and turned her determined gaze out to the sea as he watched her closely, "Next stop...the Grand Line!"
