Still fighting against the remaining fishman outside near the park's pool, Zoro cuts down the last of the fishmen he had to deal with, and ends up beside Sanji who huffed out air kicking away the one he was fighting also now.
Many of the fishmen were laying against the ground unconscious from their hits received from them, either just alive or badly hurt thanks to Zoro's sword, and Sanji's damaging kicks. Though there still was one left, Kuroobi.
"You're captain is a fool to think she can save Nami from Arlong." The fishman taunts mockingly, his sharp teeth baring at near the end of his sentence standing a few meters in front of the two on guard males.
Hearing the fish disrespect their captain like that, it set both of the males off sending Kurbooi murderous glares that surely would of killed him in his spot. Sanji however doesn't back down, slipping off his black jacket revealing his blue and shirt long sleeved shirt underneath, now getting serious.
"You don't ever badmouth (Y/N)." He spoke his warning in a lower octave, tinted with venom and fury as he clenched his jaw throwing away his jacket, and got ready to send the fishmen straight into the ground.
Zoro smirked a bit wickedly from behind the cook, also having a dangerous scowl over his face staring at Kurbooi holding onto his sword, "Now you've done it." He grunted in warning, "And I don't have any sympathy for you, asshole."
"Cotelette!" Sanji yelled his move now running forward to the fishman, slamming his foot into the side of Kurbooi creating a seeable force from the hit. Followed by another hit that he called backflipping around to kick in between his neck, and shoulder, making Kurbooi groan in pain feeling it.
"Epaule!" He span around placing his palms onto the cement to aim his leg on the side of Kurbooi's arm, grunting as he pushed himself up from the ground, and slammed his foot straight into the fishmen's chest still shouting his moves as he did them.
Kurbooi skids across the floor trying to stop himself, as he did by placing his webbed hand on the ground coughing, and tried to get back up. Though Sanji was yelling his last move, turning his body around to send a powerful kick into his chest, and sent him flying all the way back crashing into the bar in Arlong Park.
The cook pulled back down his leg from being mid air looking at the now defeated fishman through his bangs, and smirked in triumph seeing the fish who bad mouthed his captain now down for good.
"Mouton shot?" Zoro mocked repeated the final move, one hand placed on his sword while the other was in his pants pocket, and strolled over to where he was.
Sanji clicked his tongue flicking back his messy fringe from off his forehead, "All great fighters call out their finishing moves." He pointed out snarkly, before giving the swordsman a knowing look growling, "And he was disrespecting our captain, you think I was gonna let that slide moss-head?"
Zoro paused mid step coming up behind him a few meters away, his brows creasing together as he sighed in defeat knowing he was right grumbling, "Right. You're gonna fit in just fine."
Yelling was now heard from near the entrance of the Arlong Park which had Usopp appearing out from it, holding his sling shot to aim, "Never fear, the Great Captain Usopp is-" He trailed off spotting all the fishmen on the ground already dealt with, and calmed down his yelling now, "is....Oh. you guys did pretty good in here."
The swordsman gave him a deadpanning look already use to his ways, the sniper now walking over to the two while Sanji's gaze was on the building (Y/N) was still in, face full of worry for her wanting to go help, but knew he couldn't disobey the siblings orders.
"Good job, guys." Usopp sighs nonchalantly coming up to stand in between the males, looking around at the amount of mess they left, and gripped onto his captain's bag he was wearing from grabbing in the ship.
Just as the Arlong Park tower was starting to show it was falling part by the rubble dropping off, Nami came rushing through the side bit with Luffy right behind her deeply concerned, and both run towards the crew.
"You're all okay!" Nami gasped out happily throwing her arms around Zoro and Usopp in a hug, making the swordsman groan in pain and Usopp to laugh hugging her back by the waist smiling.
Luffy came sliding in between her and Usopp patting the girls shoulder grinning brightly, as he adjusted his sisters hat on the navigators head with his hands, resulting in her to become a bit flustered at the action.ย
"Where's (N/N) at?" Usopp now questioned worriedly not seeing the other captain by Luffy's side, which was not a normal sight that happened, and looked to the two beside him for answers.
Zoro and Sanji's heads also snapped towards them hearing the girls nickname wondering the same thing, and Nami gives Luffy a look causing him to smile a bit shakily, "She's still inside," He began glancing at the rumbling building, and gulped nervously for his sisters safety, "fighting Arlong."
Luffy felt the aura around them shift now at his reply, spotting in the corner of his eyes that Sanji and Zoro become tensed up going to move towards the building, "She's going to be alright." He assured strongly noticing that, and gave their crew a wide smile of confidence, "My sister won't lose, she never does."
........
(Y/N) wasn't prepared to get thrown away easily when Arlong grabbed her when her back was turned, and yelled landed against one of the map walls across the room groaning.
She protected her head feeling some of the loose rocks fall down on her, and coughed because of the dust now forming in the air, as she hits her fist into the floor trying to stand up straight feeling the dust all over her clothes.
Arlong growls low in his throat spotting her getting up from the ground despite being in pain, a smirk laying across her lips walking slowly to meet the fishman in the middle of the room, that was now rumbling from all corners close to breaking apart.
He roars to signal bring it on over the loud noise of the bricks falling, and she yelled back earthbending many smaller rocks from the floor to swirl around them in a spiral levitating, lifting her arms up to control them.
Thrusting her elbows back to her sides she sends all the rocks flying towards him like many punches, followed by a gust of air that added more force to the hits. His body was getting thrown back through the air now, and slammed straight into the map wall leaving a dent in his wake.
His body fell onto the ground with part of the wall dropping down on him also, as rubble drops from the roof still also hitting her if it weren't for the Nine-tail shaped aura that was now around her figure, unbeknownst to her.
She blows away her hair off her forehead baring her teeth, raising one of her clenched fists up to the side of her cheek, and the other was outstretched in front ready to aim some more bending at him if needed.
Arlong throws off the rubble pieces on him now getting up slowy into a squat, placing his webbed finger up to his mouth tasting the blood that came from it. At him being wounded his glare hardened into a menacing one, staring at her in front before around his home that was breaking apart from the top down.
"No puny human can bring down Arlong Park!" He yelled out growling furioulsy, standing up from the floor to drawl out his words as the rumbling gets worse around them, making him shout some more raged.
The glow in her irises became brighter now seeing him coming to charge at her, her hand lifting up above her to make a glowing outline of much larger fist with her Nine-tail force, entire hand having wisps of an orange mist around it.
Now acting on purse instinct that lead her to form the fist, her mouth now opened to let out a battle cry sending the massive fist smashing up into the roof, followed by many other rocks that went straight through it to break it into two.
"You're done ARLONG!" (Y/N)'s voice seemed to have another one echoing behind it as she yelled out, not giving the fishman a chance to attack her, and screamed pulling back the orangey-gold misty fist that now made the entire building crumble down in ruins from the roof.
The massive fist slammed straight into Arlong's screaming figure, her hair flying above her shoulders with a very, very faint fiery outline of fox's eyes, ears and a tail surrounding her lower body, and sends him flying through the ground all the way down to the lower level of the building.
Outside the crew watched in fear as the tower came falling down on itself, the bell breaking off from the top and slammed into the side of the roof.
They all had matching terrified reactions for the girls welbing, while Luffy had a calm panicked expression on his face, already sensing that she had tapped into her Nine-tail power, which he knew wasn't good or bad whatsoever.
"(Y/N)!" Nami screamed out in a cry of horror watching the tower topple down from each level, muffling the sob of fear with the palm of her hand, and gripped onto the orange bracelet she gave her more tighter.
Usopp grabbed onto Nami's hand once she pulled it back down, both giving each other fearful teary eyed looks, and held onto one another for comfort not knowing if they would ever see the Monkey. D girl again.
Zoro and Sanji also felt their hearts drop to their stomachs in dread, eyes widened not believing the woman they cared about a lot was gone. No way, they couldn't, no wouldn't think that was true. The two knew if they lost her now, apart of them would be missing forever, and the boys would never allow that to happen.
The building now fully collapsed on itself now, and a big gust of smoke flew out from it now once the rubble had hit the ground. When the heavy dust cleared the only thing that was left, was the massive pile of rubble from the now completely destroyed Arlong Park towers.
No one spoke leaving an somber silence between the crew expect for the occasional rock falling, and for a split second, everyone even including Luffy thought the cheery, sunshine girl was gone for good seeing no movement coming from within the rock mess.
Though all those heartbreaking thoughts disappeared, when a familiar orange misty glow surrounded some of the rocks, and were forcefully thrown away by someone. Appearing from out of the rubble now, all dusty, scratched up and tried looking was Monkey. D (Y/N).
Without looking at any of the people below who mattered most to her, she raised her arm up in the air proudly, "Nami! You are our friend!" She yelled out now snapping her head up down to them, a beaming grin across her lips, "We are your crew! Without you, our crew isn't complete!"
Nami blinked back her happy tears feeling her heart growing warm at the captains words, as Usopp and Luffy both grinned celebrating before pulling Nami into a massive, reassuring hug on both sides.
Sanji and Zoro both sighed shakily in relief seeing the girl alive and not badly hurt, their churning stomachs calming down now as the cook laughs joyfully placing a fist up to his mouth, while the swordsman was gripping onto his aching heart that was better than before seeing (Y/N).
Thank god she's alright, they both thought to themselves smiling softly, ignoring the others all cheering for the girl and watched her stumble her way down from on top of the rubble pile.
As soon as she arrived onto the flat ground, Luffy, Nami and Usopp were rushing to her side, and hugging her tightly, making her yelp almost tripping back over. All of them now laughed knowing they picked the right captain to lead them, for as how long as they lived.
She groaned squished up in between the three all having their arms wrapped around her, hitting their backs softly but quickly in panic, "G-guys! Nice to see you as well," She wheezed out sending help looks to Zoro and Sanji, "As much as I enjoy this, I feel like I'm about to pass out."
The three pulled back giving her sheepish sorry looks, and remove their hands from her to stand in front. Luffy grinned softly ruffling his sisters already messy hair relieved she was not harmed, and it had her weakly pushing him away huffing out embarrassed.
"I really need a nap right now." She grumbled to herself feeling her energy completey drained, the dust sticking to her skin all over and looked a bit sickly in the face. Taking a wonky step forward she met Zoro's and Sanji's toothy grinning expression staring at her, which had her weakly sending a sweet smile back in response.
However Zoro's eyes went a bit wide a second after seeing her eyelashes fluttering closed, and her body swaying a bit to tip over forward. Before she could face plant on the floor unconscious, he caught her figure by his chest pressing against her to the side.
Everyone exclaimed panicked at her figure now knocked out limply in Zoro's hold, one of his muscular arms around her waist to keep her up straight, and gave the others minus Luffy a scolding look to be quiet.
Nami and Usopp instantly shut their mouths, but still shared knowing chuckles between each other spotting Sanji's scowling reaction beside them, him being nudged by Luffy who shook his head smiling teasingly.
"You did good, princess." Zoro's raspy voice whispered against her ear, turning his head to press the tip of his nose into her hair sighing softly gazing at her asleep face on his shoulder, "So good." He added quietly, running his hand up her back trying to ignore his wounds pain now.
She just mumbled something in her sleep scrunching her nose up as her cheek was squished onto his shoulder, and she almost slipped down if it weren't for his strong arm cradling her against his chest.
"Oi, moss-head." Sanji's familiar british accent was heard through his ears, making Zoro glance forward to spot the cook standing there with his arms held out scowling at him, "Let me carry (Y/N) now."
Zoro's once soft expression shifts into a glaring one pointed at him, his arms becoming tigher around the girl placing his thigh in between her legs also, "Now, why would I do that, shitty-cook?" He grumbled back suspiciously, not wanting to hand her over yet.
The three that were standing a few meters away from them watched the scene deadpanning, not expecting anything less from the two males who seemed to always fight over (Y/N). Luffy just did his signature laugh, flashing Usopp and Nami a smile, as he motioned to follow him to where the others were standing.
Sanji irked clicking his tongue, using one hand to run through his messy hair irritated, "'You really think she'd want you to reopen your wound again?," He answered in a knowing tone, before looking down softly to his captain's face, "Just let me hold (Y/N) for now. If you wanna touch her that bad, hold her hand moss-head perv."
Zoro gritted his teeth together sending Sanji a pissed off look, cursing him out in his head as he rubbed his thumb along (Y/N)'s exposed hip before reluctantly handing her over to the cooks arms, being careful not to wake up from her much needed rest.
Sanji bent down a little bit to slip one arm under her knees while the other went around her upper back, gently picking her up into a bridle style position. Her head fell back against the side of his neck, and her arms were loosely wrapped around his shoulders seeking his warmth in her sleeping state.
"Glad that's shorted now." Nami commented in an amused snort walking past the boys with Usopp beside her, both waving mockingly at the flustered males who grumbled at them in response.
The cook gently adjusted her figure in his strong arms, leaning his chin on the side of her head as his fingers ran along her sides soothingly a little. Zoro tries to keep his grumbles to himself seeing her with him like that, falling in step beside them to keep an eye on (Y/N).
"She must of drained her stamina again. That's what her power does, sadly." Luffy mumbled worriedly walking up to the males on the other side of Sanji, his fingers digging into the bracelet around his wrist.
He gained confused, concerned looks from them making him send them a reassuring, but wavering smile, "A story for another time, let's head back to the village."
........
Nightime had fallen over Coco village after a little while of preparing for a massive celebration, on behalf of now being free from Arlong and how the Straw Hat crew had saved them from never not knowing peace.
Kids now run through the open gates with lit sparkles giggling, passing Nami sitting contently on a huts front porch in new clothes, all the way around to where a massive fire pit was burning in the middle of a group of villagers laughing together and eating.
All the Straw Hats were in their own little sections joining in on the lively party outside, where (Y/N) was now walking out from her shared hut with her brother looking much better than before. Expect for that fact she had now healing scars on her cheeks, and a few bandages along her arms from the battle before.
She smiled softly at Nami who grinned back at her waving with her braceleted hand, and nudged her head towards where Sanji was serving Zoro smirking teasingly now. (Y/N) sticks her tongue out at Nami, making the girl chuckle fondly at her captains behaviour.
A few kids run past the (H/C) haired girl like a bullet agate making her yelp a bit, and catch her foot mid step, breathing heavily trying not to trip over.
One of the little girls came up shyly to the older now girl, reaching up to hand her a pretty pink flower that she took delicately, and thanked the child with a soft giggle watching her ran off back to her parents.
Slipping the flower behind her left ear being careful not to knock the hat off her head, she spotted Sanji now serving Zoro some food. Her lips perked up fondly watching them talk, and walked up to them. but made sure to stay back a bit to listen to their conversation.
"Ooh. Back for seconds." Sanji was teasing the swordsman who came up in the food line, handing off an empty plate that had him smirking, "Must have liked it."
Zoro made a tch sound from his mouth tilting his head to the side, "Yeah, it was okay." He admitted though didn't exactly what to confess the food was amazing, unlike his captain who always voiced her opinions on it.
Sanji's mocking smile doesn't break from his face, blue eyes moving down to the plate that was held out, and saw it had nothing on it, "That plate says different."
"Gotta keep my strength up, even with your cooking." The swordsman grumbled his answer, passing the plate to Sanji who took it from him chuckling, "It's the least you can do, considering I saved your ass from those fishmen."
The cook paused his scooping of the dish from the massive pan, raising his brows at Zoro incredulously, "Wot? I saved your arse." He corrected with attitude, british accent coming out thicker.
"You didn't even get your hands dirty." Zoro remarked titling his chin up challenging to the cook, as the line behind him no longer had anyone else waiting, since the two males bickering caused them to leave.
"At least I don't need three swords to prove I'm a man to our captain." The cook jabbed back matching his tone, smirking smugly when Zoro gave him a scowl but backed down grabbing the plate from him, and walked off back towards where Luffy was eating.
Seeing them no longer talking and that everyone else was in their own little world partying, (Y/N) decided to come out from her spot skipping up to Sanji, and jumped onto him wrapping her arms around his forearm, "Sanji! Hey!"
He dropped the scooper in surprise not expecting her to be there, a dimpled grinned making its way across his lips turning his attention to her, "(Y/N), my sweet!" He started off in a joyful voice, using his hands to slip down to her arms gently, "have you eaten yet, belle?"
She hummed a little cutely shaking her head side to side, her nose catching a whiff on the food he was cooking on the table beside them, "No! Not yet, but I'm really hungry though." She chirped giggling, before eagerly pointing to the healing marks on her cheeks, "Have you seen these?! Do you think people will think I'm cooler now?"
He chuckled fondly at her behaviour glancing over the wounds on her, brows a bit furrowed but still gently grazed his fingers along her cheek, "I'm sure they will, darling." He admitted softly before placing his much larger hand on her cheek cupping it, "I still think you're beautiful, and like you either way."
She became shy at his bold confession laughing nervously now, gulping down the lump in her throat feeling his cold ring on her flushed skin, "Y-yeah, thanks Sanji." She mumbled quietly, before her eyes looked over his bent shoulder to the food grinning now, "I can't wait to try your amazing cooking!"
Hearing her compliment his pride and joy it had his attitude changing up. His eyelids became a bit lidded, blocking out the cheers from the party going on around them, and ran his fingers along the flower behind her ear sensually, "Oh yeah? Go on." He breathed out raspy, accent becoming stronger now in result.
Oh man I wasn't expecting that, (Y/N) thought to herself screeching feeling like passing out, knees becoming wobbly as she placed her palm onto his chest gently, and grinned shakily up to his face just hovering over hers, "Uh, I enjoy your cooking but I adore you more...?"
He looked at her through his bangs fondly at her stuttering response, his own cheeks heating up also. Chuckling lowly to himself, he nuzzled his nose into hers, before slipping his hand from her face to cradle the side of her neck in his ringed hand.
Is he about to do the same-, she thought panicking feeling his warm breath hit her cheek making her eyelashes flutter, as his leant down to press his lips against the corner of her mouth, an ich away from them in a tender kiss.
While he was doing that his thumb was brushing along her jaw softly also, slowly pulling back from her to see her embarrassed face causing him to giggle a bit boyish now, and pressed another quick kiss to her forehead under the straw hat.
"C'mon belle, I'll get you your food." Sanji now breaks from from her but kept an arm around her lower back, using one hand to scoop up the dish onto a plate and gave it to her grinning a bit smugly winking, "Glad to know you think so highly of me."
She grumbled a bit under her breath pouting at how easily he could get her to act up, taking the plate from his hands still feeling the warmth of his touch linger, and slips the flower from the child into her pocket. Turning away to stomp off she hears his laughing and felt his gaze burn into her, as she walked over to where Luffy was listening to Usopp's stories.
"There I was completely alone, surrounded by fishmen, the Great Captain Usopp staring death in the face." He was talking in a narrator voice to the villagers all sat down around them, him sitting in the middle on a crate.
(Y/N) eat some of the food giving to her nodding in agreement with Usopp's story, and handed the plate over to Luffy who happily took it next eating from it also, both standing at the back of the big crowd.
Zoro also comes up next to them smiling a little in greeting to the girl, who grinned brightly back watching him sit down on a crate in front of her, and placed his plate full of food onto his knee listening to Usopp.
"But I knew I couldn't give up the fight, not with the fate of Coco Village at stake!" Usopp rose his voice standing up from the crate to go behind it, standing on another one aim his sling shot, "So I pulled my trusty slingshot!"
He fired the sling mimicking the sound of a shot, and mimics an explosion sound next, as the crow watched in amazement, "And I fired on 'em till my fingers bled. And I didn't stop until I single-handedly defeated Arlong and his deadly crew."
Nami now came up beside her crew mates bumping her shoulder into (Y/N)'s in greeting, gaining a giggle back in response, as she was trying not to freak out at Zoro's warm back leaning against her chest on the crate.
Sanji also followed on afterwards finished with his serving on the food, winking charmingly at his captain to wrap an loose arm around her waist, and stood beside her on her other side, all of them watching Usopp now.
The sniper's eyes catch onto his crew behind the villages smiling knowingly at him, making his eyebrows raise up high to add on quickly seeing them, "With a little help, of course." He causally admits, and the Straw Hats chuckled amused, "I mean, I guess I wasn't completely alone."
Luffy and his sister shared a matching grinning look with each other, before he goes to lift up his free hand into the air proudly, "Three cheers for Captain Usopp!" He yells out in encouragement, as his sister goes to shout on next laughing happily, "We couldn't have done it without him! WHOO!"
Zoro tilts his head up against her stomach hearing her saying this, smiling softly knowing that she was the real hero today, but yet wanted Usopp to have the spotlight. Sanji had the same reaction as him, squeezing her waist in his palm and smiled fondly without looking at her.
All the villagers cheer in response raising their voices for Usopp, clapping their hands with smiles as the male becomes shy, but also takes pride in the cheers. He grins toothily, face scrunching up and crossed his arms over his chest, laughing excitedly too.
(Y/N) threw her head back a bit laughing loudly lifting her hands to clap them together, before sending Usopp two thumbs up that had him puffing his chest out, grinning some more now at his sister and best friend figure.
However all of that joy quickly came to an end when a male villager shouted something out, "Marines!" He called in warning. The noise calm down now spotting the soldiers forming a line up behind them all, as it has the Straw Hat's becoming alerted spinning around.
Zoro stood up quickly placing his plate aside standing protectively in front of his captain, with Sanji straight away stationed on her other side at the arrival of the Marines. Though she just stepped on her tippy toes trying to peek over the males, and giggled happily waving frantically at Garp, her grandfather leading the group into the area.
She manoeuvred out from behind the tall duo making them panic slightly, but calmed down just seeing her going beside Luffy instead. He also had a protective look on his face, staring at Garp watching his grandchildren.
The swordsman went to sneakily unclip his katana from its holder, but felt his captains smaller warm hand gently being placed over his. He turned to her confused wondering why, and saw her just shaking her head a bit signalling to not do that.
"So these are the Straw Hat pirates." Garp's authority toned voice spoke up, observing them closely as he landed on the two males near his granddaughter, face becoming protective now too seeing how close they were to her, "Huh. Marines, arrest them."
Uh oh pop's has noticed the boys, (Y/N) thought to herself panicked for Zoro's and Sanji's safety, knowing how Garp got about male's being near her. Luffy was just as bad, but their grandfather on the other hand was even more protective over her. One time in her childhood, a boy was giving her a flower to thank her, and Garp ended up making the kid cry from how scary his Marine threats were.
Koby now appeared from out behind Garp wearing a marine uniform, and showed off the familiar bracelet on his wrist proudly that he also wore, "Sir, the Straw Hats didn't destroy Coco Village. It was Arlong."
The gray haired male turned his head briefly to the younger one, humming a bit in acknowledgement before looking straight ahead at his grandchildren, "You have your orders, cadet."
Koby clenched his fists by his side moving into the view blocking the pirates, "No." He stated firmly catching the siblings but surprise, and Garp who looked back to him with narrowed eyes.
"You do realise there are severe punishments for disobeying direct orders?"
His eyes go wide a bit behind his glasses, gulping down his fears and didn't back down from what he believed was the right choice, "I disagree with those orders, sir."
Garp scoffs a bit in disbelief at him, just as the familiar blonde haired Marine cadet comes up beside Kody, and stood up with his friend firmly, "Me too."
The older male sighs heavily rolling his neck to the side irritated, before chucking through his teeth, "Anyone else like to follow their lead?" He calls back to the other quiet Marines behind, and than back to the nervous boys in front of him, "Or do you all want to follow orders instead?"
Some of the Marines now moved with their guns to a few steps in front of the Straw Hats, clocking their shot guns at them now, as it had some of them tensing hearing the sound, "Any of them move, make sure it's their last."
Garp gave the soldiers his order now walking past the pirates, his eyes on his two grandchildren staring him down also, "Come here, (Y/N)." His tone was a bit softer than usually, before becoming a bit rougher aiming his next words to Luffy beside her, "You too, boy."
Sanji and Zoro both tensed on either side of their captain hearing her name being called, both wanting to reach out and grab onto her, but she sent them a reassuring look to calm down. Turning to Luffy she took his hand he held out for her, giving a firm squeeze and together they went to walk over to their awaiting grandpa.
