ππππππ ππ ππ πππ π πππ as if time had transfigured itself into solid stone, frozen and never changing, five years had passed since the death of Arthur Pendragonβthe greatest king the shining kingdom of Camelot had ever seenβat the hand of the Druid prophesied to steal him away, and Queen Guinevere was left to rule the whole of Camelot alone as his hand chosen successor; it was his dying wish, Merlin had said, for the one he trusted most to ascend the throne in his place. Though she wore the heavy crown of gold, though she smiled in a radiance that not even the sun could ever compare to, Queen Guinevere's very existence had bled into the fragility of glass, and some days it seemed she would shatter under the weight of her grief and the royal court's unending pressures of marriage anew.
ππππ πππ ππππππ ππ Morgana Pendragon erased at the hands of the esteemed Merlin Ambrosius, another had risen from the shadows to take her placeβa terrible sorcerer named Jafar, whose hatred for Camelot cosmically surpassed his predecessors' in spades. Though it was thought to be something akin to a fairytaleβa legend, of sortsβJafar searched far and wide for the fated "Diamond in the Rough," who is said to be one pure of heart and enough so to cross the threshold of the Cave of Wonders. Within such a sacred place of treasure and glory, the diamond would have the power to retrieve the magic lamp which, through his own corruption, Jafar could so easily use to bring the kingdom to its knees. To erase it for all time, and avenge the slaughter of endless sorcerers whose blood stained the earth.
ππ ππ ππππ ππ heart is a rare thing indeed, but such a person existed among men, dwelling within the streets of Camelot's lower town. That diamond in the rough was an orphan boy named Aladdin, a thief forged from the instinct of survival, and to many, he was nothing but one among the many street rats which plagued the city. Aladdin believed otherwise; for he had always thought there was more to him, that he was meant for something more. He would soon learn just how right he had been, finding himself way in over his head as he unintentionally aids in the possibility of Camelot's destruction.
TITLE: Aladdin *
FACECLAIM: Mena Massoud as Aladdin
LOVE INTEREST: Queen Guinevere
NOTES:
.γ»γ-: β§ Me making yet another Merlin plot based off of a fairytale/Disney movie??? Shocker! 90% of this shop will probably be exactly that.
.γ»γ-: β§ This is the product of the fact that the thought of Guinevere never finding love again shatters my soul and I don't want it. She deserves it and Arthur would definitely agree.
.γ»γ-: β§ IDEA ONE: Aladdin and Gwen had met once before when she was still just a low born, as well as very young (perhaps five or six), and he found her rise to power completely fascinating and it gave him hope for a better future for himself.
.γ»γ-: β§ IDEA ONE (CONT'D): Using an aging spell, Jafar tricks Aladdin into getting the magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders, and once his true nature is revealed, Aladdin struggles in returning to Camelot to warn them of the impending dangers.
.γ»γ-: β§ IDEA TWO: Their original meeting from idea one remains, but they come across each other again and he finds himself entranced by her beauty and the passion which radiates from her (who wouldn't be). Their meeting is similar to the meeting between Jasmine and Aladdin in the movie, where Guinevere disguises herself as a lowly peasant to visit the lower town (as she stated in Merlin, even if under enchantment, visiting the lower town reminds her of Elyan and she often needs that). Since the guards would obviously recognize her and Camelot's men are glorious in every sense, they wouldn't be chased around like in the movie, nor would Aladdin's supposed execution take place.
.γ»γ-: β§ IDEA TWO(CONT'D): Follows more closely with the movie, where Aladdin manages to steal the lamp back from Aging Spell!Jafar at the last minute. He becomes the master of the Genie, asks to become a prince in hopes of not only a better chance with Guinevere, but to give her everything she deserves. Her former husband was Arthur Pendragon, for crying out loud, and Aladdin knew those shoes would be impossible to fill on his own, and maybe even impossible with magic on his side. Jafar, of course, intrudes and manages to swipe the lamp away under a disguise of his own, taking siege of the citadel to carry out his plans to essentially wipe Camelot from the face of the earth. Aladdin, even if it blows his secret and his chances with Guinevere forever, does whatever he can to stop him.
.γ»γ-: β§ Of course, these two are slow burn. Guinevere is still mourning the loss of her husband, and won't be so quick to leap into a relationship or even consider marriage so easily. And Aladdin is a soft boy who would never put his needs before her own, regardless of his own feelings. Even if he feels something for her, he wouldn't say the words unless she was ready to accept them.
.γ»γ-: β§ If you want to add Abu in there, you certainly can. I just didn't think it would fit given the fact that these characters are located in what's now the United Kingdom and I'm pretty sure I never once saw a single monkey on the show. Go wild, if you wish.
.γ»γ-: β§ You can choose whichever idea to carry the plot along with, and add whatever you can think of to it. It might be my plot, but I would love to see you make it your own!
.γ»γ-: β§ Unlike the first plot, I don't have too many notes for this. This is one I'd like to see whoever claims it taking free reign of how things will turn out.
