Chapter Eight • Royal Rumble Part 2

As Isayah, Solielle, and Jacob piled into the car, the tension from the heated confrontation in the restaurant parking lot still hung heavy in the air.

Solielle immediately pulled out her phone, her fingers furiously tapping the screen as she called her sister Molisa, needing to vent about the infuriating situation that had just unfolded.

With Isayah navigating the car onto the road, Solielle launched into a passionate tirade, recounting in vivid detail how those two girls dared to disrespect her and try to start a fight over Isayah.

She could feel the adrenaline still coursing through her veins, her temper threatening to boil over once more as she relived the confrontation.

Meanwhile, in the backseat, Jacob was busy texting the group chat, gleefully informing their family that Solielle had actually punched one of the girls in the mouth and was now ready to throw down with both of them.

Isayah tried to interject, offering a calming presence as Solielle vented, assuring her that he felt the same possessiveness and protectiveness over her.

Once Solielle finally hung up the phone, she turned to Isayah, apologizing for letting her temper get the best of her.

But Isayah just smiled, telling her not to worry because he felt the same way and would have her back no matter what.

This sentiment only served to make Solielle smile, as Jacob leaned forward, cooing over how Solielle and Isayah were the perfect Mr. and Mrs. Fatu.

Solielle giggled while Isayah playfully shoved his cousin back into his seat, the group's banter and camaraderie providing a welcomed distraction from the drama that had just unfolded.

Meanwhile, across town at Waffle House, Joshua and Aphrodite were dealing with a confrontation of their own, as Joshua's ex-fling had unexpectedly shown up, desperate to rekindle their relationship despite Joshua's clear attempts to move on.

She had flown out to keep Joshua after he had been ignoring her for months now. Aphrodite let out a chuckle at the desperation of the woman as Joshu told her that he ended things for a reason and she needed to move on.

The scorned woman tried to take out her frustrations on the pregnant Aphrodite. "What you looking at fat bitch?" The woman asked Aphrodite.

"Nothing much. Go find your next meal ticket, boo, and I'm not fat, I'm just pregnant with his babies," Aphrodite answered with a smirk.

The woman was pissed so this is why Joshua ended things with her. "Oh, you moved on quickly," The woman said, looking at Joshua.

"You know on to better things," Joshua said.

Aphrodite laughed.

The woman wouldn't leave them alone after that so Joshua and Aphrodite simply brushed her off with cool indifference, confident and unbothered by her pathetic attempts at stirring up more drama.

Joshua felt a sense of relief as he paid the bill, grateful to be leaving the tense atmosphere of the Waffle House.

He carefully helped Aphrodite out of her seat, mindful of her pregnant state. As they made their way towards the exit, Aphrodite glanced back and noticed Joshua's ex-fling glaring at them from across the restaurant.

Feeling protective, Aphrodite instinctively reached out and grabbed Joshua's hand, holding it tightly as they walked out together.

The simple gesture was a subtle yet powerful display of their bond and Aphrodite's determination to stand by him.

Once they were safely in the car, Joshua began scrolling through the family group chat, when a new message from his cousin Jacob caught his eye.

The text detailed how Solielle had almost gotten into a physical altercation with two other girls, all over Isayah.

Joshua couldn't help but chuckle at the mental image, knowing full well that Solielle was not one to back down from a fight.

"What's so funny?" Aphrodite asked, curious about what had amused Joshua.

"Solielle punched a girl in the mouth," Joshua replied, unable to hide his amusement.

Aphrodite's face broke into a proud grin. "That's my girl," she declared, making no effort to conceal her approval of Solielle's feisty behavior.

Joshua shook his head, knowing that if Aphrodite wasn't pregnant, she likely would have joined the fray herself.

"I know if you weren't pregnant, you would have fought her inside that Waffle House," he said, to which Aphrodite simply responded, "Period, would have dragged that hoe."

The couple shared a knowing look, both understanding and embracing Aphrodite's unapologetic fierceness.

"The photos came out so beautiful," Aphrodite said.

"They turned out so great, I'm so happy," Trinity said.

Aphrodite gazed adoringly at the vibrant, glossy photographs strewn across her living room coffee table, a warm smile spreading across her radiant features.

The images captured the sheer beauty and wonder of her recent maternity shoot - a magical, intimate experience she had shared with Trinity, who had planned the maternity photoshoot to immortalize this profound moment in Aphrodite's life.

Aphrodite's swollen, glowing belly was the centerpiece of each frame, the delicate curves accentuated by soft, flattering lighting and expertly chosen poses.

In one shot, her hands tenderly cradled the swell, a serene expression on her face as she gazed downwards with unparalleled love and reverence.

Another frame depicted her in a flowing, ethereal dress, head tilted back as golden rays of sunshine danced across her skin.

Aphrodite was simply breathtaking, the physical manifestation of feminine power and the miracle of new life.

Aphrodite knew she would cherish these images for a lifetime, a visual testament to the profound and joyous experience of carrying her babies.

As she looked up and met Trinity's gaze, Aphrodite felt a deep well of gratitude for her friend's talent and the opportunity to commemorate this precious chapter.

The maternity photoshoot that Trinity has so generously provided for Aphrodite is not just a cherished memento, but a physical embodiment of the deep, nurturing connection they share.

This special occasion represents far more than simply documenting the outward changes of Aphrodite's pregnancy - it is a celebration of the profound emotional and spiritual transformation they are experiencing together.

As Aphrodite's body blossoms with new life, Trinity has been a steadfast, loving presence, offering unwavering support, comfort, and guidance every step of the way.

In Trinity, Aphrodite has found a kindred spirit, a confidante with whom they can openly share their joys, fears, and innermost thoughts without judgment.

The conversation between Trinity and Aphrodite took an unexpectedly emotional turn as they delved deeper into the nuances of their complex relationship.

Aphrodite excitedly shared her plans to transform the guest room into a cozy nursery and also revealed her thoughtful gesture to create a dedicated space for Trinity and Jonathan when they stayed over.

This simple act of kindness sparked a heartfelt response from Trinity, who was touched by Aphrodite's consideration and generosity.

Tears welled in Trinity's eyes as she expressed her gratitude, overwhelmed by the realization that her best friend had gone above and beyond to accommodate her needs.

"Oh my, Dite, you didn't have to do that, thank you," Trinity said.

"Why not? You guys are my best friends," Aphrodite said.

"I thought - I don't know it seemed like you and Joshua have been getting closer, uh I've secretly been feeling like you may hate me for you ending up in this position," Trinity said.

Aphrodite, sensing Trinity's lingering uncertainty, quickly reassured her that there were no hard feelings - she was a grown woman who had made her own choices.

The two women openly acknowledged the unspoken concerns they had harbored, clearing the air and finding solace in the knowledge that their bond remained strong, untainted by the unexpected pregnancy.

Aphrodite rolled her eyes. "You didn't force me to have sex with y'all. And I honestly I've been thinking about you in all of this that's why I'm mostly with Joshua, I don't want you to feel any kind of way about me being pregnant with Jon's babies," Aphrodite said.

Trinity blinked away her tears. "Oh God no, Aphrodite, I'm happy that you're having these babies. You know, I always felt guilt about changing my mind about having kids with Jon since that's what we agreed to do since the beginning of our relationship but now that you're pregnant that guilt is gone. The only thing I feel any kind of way about is making sure you don't feel any kind of way," Trinity explained.

Aphrodite nodded. "I guess we both were overthinking how each other felt," Aphrodite said.

As they talked through their feelings, a mutual understanding blossomed, allowing them to let go of any lingering guilt or resentment and embrace the joy of welcoming new life into their lives.

The conversation was a testament to the depth of their friendship, demonstrating the power of open communication and the ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and grace.

Meanwhile, Joshua's admission of his love for Aphrodite to the group of men sparked a lively discussion.

Jonathan, Joe, Jeremiah, and Jacob, revealed that they had long suspected Joshua's feelings, having observed his unwavering devotion and protective nature towards Aphrodite.

"Oh, we knew, I think we've known since you sent her ex-packing during Friendsgiving," Joe said.

Jeremiah shook his head. "Why do you think we've been teasing y'all?" Jeremiah asked him.

"Y'all knew! Damn, I thought I was hiding it better," Joshua said.

"Uce, you can't hide that kind of feeling, I'm just surprised she hasn't figured it out, you're practically attached to her hip," Jacob said.

They playfully teased Joshua, acknowledging that his affection had been evident, particularly during the intimate encounter they had shared.

"Shit, she should have known especially during the foursome when he was acting like he was the only could touch her. So stingy in bed," Jonathan said.

"I don't want to hear about that," Jeremiah said.

"Still can't believe y'all did that," Jacob said.

"It's common among twins to share and do everything together," Joe said.

"So, should I pull a Zilla and marry her in Las Vegas when we go in a week and a half?" Joshua asked them.

The men's camaraderie and understanding shone through as they discussed the possibility of Joshua taking the bold step of proposing to Aphrodite during their upcoming trip to Las Vegas.

Jonathan gasped. "You think Aphrodite will spontaneously agree to marry you in a week and a half from now because you're in love with her?" Jonathan asked Joshua.

"Shit, if she can agree to a foursome, I'm sure she'll agree to anything," Joe stated.

While the idea was met with some skepticism, the men's lighthearted banter and genuine support for Joshua's romantic aspirations suggested that they believed Aphrodite might just be receptive to such a spontaneous and unconventional proposal.

The conversation highlighted the strong bond among the group, as they navigated the intricate dynamics of their shared relationships with empathy, humor, and a deep understanding of one another's hearts.
