CHRIS STEPPED BACK AT THE SIGHT OF THE BIG DOG. larry already had multiple big dogs of his own, but none looked like they belonged in a horror film or next to hades in the pits of hell.

that was what neytiri looked like, a calm doberman that sat tall next to the smiling clover. "she's so big!" larry complimented, squatting down and placing his hands on either side of neytiris face

and although it seemed as if she was angry her tail began wagging once his others dog ran into the room. she tilted her head upwards at clover, who sighed "gehen" it was one word that sent neytiri flying towards the other dogs

"she's picked up german really well" larry smiled, looking back at the triplets and calista "but i think tiri scared them" clover wrapped her arms around calista and the two rocked back and fourth in an embrace

"guys don't be scared she's a good dog. look, ready?" clover looked around for her dog before placing her middle and thumb on the edges of her mouth and blowing.

a high pitched whistle called the large dog back at the side of its mother, with her mouth open and tail wagging all over the place "sitzen" clover demanded, and the dog then sat down, calming herself. "gut" she smiled and held a treat out for neytiri to eat

"did you train her yourself?" matt asked admiring the dog from afar "yeah, i've had her for like five years now. she's my babygirl" nick held out his hand, gaining her trust before the other dogs came and froze, wondering why their friend abandoned them

"gehen" clover smiled and opened the back door where they always played. she didn't have a backyard of her own so larrys was the only place neytiri had to truly run around freely. other places watch her like a hawk as if she would kill a bird at any moment.

"anyways, have y'all started the movie yet? which are we even watching?" clover sat on the couch, her eyes glanced over at chris who was on his phone typing something. she then looked at calista "and where've you been? i haven't seen you in so long"

"i've been so busy with a project i have going on. i literally showed you, didn't i?" calista sat on the right or clover, showing her whatever she could on her phone "shut the fuck up" clover exclaimed "that's so cute, awh bae i'm so excited for you"

chris perked his head up towards the girls "what project?" he asked scooting closer to them. his hand grazed clovers thigh as he leaned in to the phone, "wait i've already seen this" he sighed out

"which is why i wasn't showing it to you, christopher. i was showing clover" calista snatched her phone away from him, the boy rolled his eyes and looked at clover "funny seeing you here"

clovers lips pressed together as she held in her laughter "i bet that works all the time for you, huh? 'funny seeing you here'" she mocked, leaning foward as giggles poured out of her mouth

it had worked on other girls in the past, it worked on rowen and every other girl before her.

and her laugh- it wasn't the same as when other girls giggled at him, not like the girls in his phone whose laughs had hints of flirting or when calista laughed at his jokes or him being dumb. clovers laugh was insulting, and pissed him off

"alright, calm down. it wasn't that funny" he crossed his arms and leaned back onto the couch, sliding his beanie to cover his eyes, larry eventually dimmed the lights and put the movie on

calista moved to the other couch with matt while nick and larry shared the third seat. clover and chris were seated alone.

he rolled his beanie back up, fixing the fold of it while he focused on the movie. his eyes glanced over at clover, and how mesmerized she was by the movie. he took this as his opportunity to slide closer to her

"what are you doing?" she whispered at him, their faces only inches away as he looked up at her. he was leaned so far into the couch that if he went any further he entire lower half would be hanging off "watching the movie" he whispered back

"you're looking at me" clover sighed, feeling the tops of her cheeks heat up in the dimly lit room, and she was thankful he couldn't see the effect he had on her all of a sudden "so? is that bad?" he asked "don't tell me you're nervous" he chuckled softly

"you wish you had that affect on me" she shot back, making sure their whispers didn't catch the attention of the others who were so concentrated on jake sully getting lost in pandora

"i don't have to wish it if it's true" he sat up straighter, now the two were at eye level, and she suddenly felt a bit more nervous. this was who she wanted at the party the other night.

this was who she thought she went up to when she saw carrington from across the room "i don't mess with fuckboys, chris" she reminded him, giving him a stern look. however instead of backing off a smirk spread across his face

chris leaned closer, before reaching over her and grabbing the blanket that sat on the other side of her legs "good thing i'm not a fuck boy" he joked, placing the blanket over the two of them

"i hate liars" she sighed "i wouldn't lie to you" he tried to reassure her, but clover was not stupid. she shrugged and turned her focus back to the movie. so, she did the next best thing

she tried to change the subject. "i love this movie" she said quietly, watching the first interaction with jake and neytiri. the love and first sight moment where she almost killed him, but that was how they chose eachother.

it was beautiful in a poetic way, and to clover it was the most beautiful thing ever "i've never seen it" he replied "oh.."

"they end up together, right?" he asked, turning his head towards clover. yet, she didn't even hear him. she was so into the movie she had blocked him out.

the way she stared at it made chris question everything about himself and his rules. he was a passionate person. especially when it came to the things he loved, from music to the people in his life. he never thought he would see the same passion and love for something in another persons eyes.

yet, he was looking at it. the way clover simply watched a movie. he decided to no longer ask questions and simply watch the rest of the movie.

although, by the end, it was his favorite movie too.
