(✿) PERSONALITY —  jangmi has and always will be a very bubbly, outgoing girl. she loves to make new friends, and to make people happy. jangmi is very hyper, and has been compared to the energizer bunny by fans. she's always had loads of energy and is also very adventurous. jangmi's always down to try something new. another thing about her is that she's very thoughtful. she loves to make her loved ones happy, whether it's by making a homemade gift or gifting them handwritten letters, she always does what she can to make people feel special. jangmi can be a bit too naive for this world sometimes, which can lead into her being manipulated quite easily. she also has a bit of a short attention span, and can be inattentive at times. she's also very forgetful and indecisive.

(✿) BACKGROUND — oh jangmi was born on march 4, 2004 to her parents oh jisun and oh junghoon. her parents struggled with having children for about five years before her birth, so when jangmi was born she was very treasured by her parents. she grew up as an only child, so she was very spoiled by both of her parents. they weren't around too often because of their demanding jobs–her father owns samsung and her mother was a model–but when they were, they spent all of their time with her. she became a kpop fan at a very young age, she was only three when she heard "into the new world" by girls' generation, and she fell in love with the group. they inspired her to begin dance lessons, and she took ballet lessons from age three to age twelve.

    she briefly lived in san francisco from age seven to eleven for her dad's business–related causes, but still continued dance lessons, just at a different school. her parents brought her to one of snsd's concerts during their "phantasia" tour when she was eleven years old, and that was when she decided she wanted to be a kpop idol when she grew up. her parents made sure that she followed her dreams, so they started letting her audition when she was twelve years old. she auditioned for yg entertainment, sm entertainment and yuehua entertainment. she was only accepted by yuehua, and began her training there. she trained for a year and two months before joining produce 48 at age thirteen.

   her visuals made her very popular, and she was able to debut in iz*one at rank one. she was the lead dancer, sub rapper and maknae in iz*one, and she gained plenty of popularity while in the group. fans loved her for her adorable visuals and personality, which made her one of the most popular members of iz*one. she even ranked #58 on tc candler's most beautiful faces.

   following iz*one's planned disbandment in april 2021, jangmi found herself in a slump. she couldn't believe that iz*one was already over, and she was in a bit of a depressed state for a while, until she was asked to debut in angel's code. she wasn't new to being an idol, but she still found herself very nervous. what if she couldn't live up to her hype, or what if things went wrong with her company and/or group? she was very anxious but when she was revealed as rosie, the last and youngest member of angel's code, netizens were excited to see jangmi again and loved her adorable stage name. now that all negative thoughts she had about her re-debut were cast away, jangmi was more than excited to debut as angel's code's maknae.
