      For some, maybe it does, giving them the satisfaction of knowing that there's something stable in their lives. For some, they believe that these walls of metal is where they flourish, where they thrive. For some, they believe they can be the best version of themselves within these walls, or exploring the infinite area around them.

      This isn't the case for all.

      Years of being stuck between walls gives them the idea that Earth — the planet that they abandoned because of radiation, the planet the human race once called home — is the place for them. That's what they deserve, rather than a life confined to the metal walls of a place they're told to call home. They deserve a life not confined to these walls, and rather a life where they can be free.

      On paper, they see it as the greatest thing that could ever exist. On paper, it's where they'll thrive. On paper, they deserve a life where they can freely run, freely exist without the overbearing laws and the watchful eyes of the Council.

      One hundred years is a long time. Especially after a nuclear war, which left the human race scrambling to keep themselves alive. One hundred years is a long enough time for the universe to decide who deserves what — and who's going to step foot on a planet they once believed was Heaven, but really is Hell.

i don't own the 100, or any of the characters. all of this was created by jason rothenberg and kass morgan, so please do not think i am creating all of these characters, or the plotlines, myself. the only things i do own in this story are makayla, sam, and quinn, as well as their parents and any other ocs i create. most of their lines will be created by me, as well as their actions.
