THIRTY | ONE GASP, AND
THEN HOW DID IT END?
With the existence of the marigold and durango wiped, everyone was enjoying their happy ending. Allison was reunited with Ray and Claire, satisfied with her happy family. Klaus and Dave were on the ground, trying to attempt to play chess.
Luther and Sloane were staring at Sloane's growing bump before Luther kissed her hand lovingly. Lila and Diego joined Lila's family with their arms wrapped around each other's shoulders. Little Grace happily played with her family.
The three Swedes were playing frisbee with each other in the matching sweatsuits. Grace scrolled past Tate, attempting to comfort the child in the stroller. Tate sent her a smile as the Handler took a seat next to her, chatting happily with someone on the phone.
Hazel and Agnes passed the three girls on their bicycles. Viktor joined Sissy and Harlan on the grass as the three chatted.
Tate was on the bench as she watched her daughter Betty Elliott Scott-Hargreeves play with the other kids as the Handler got up from the bench, leaving her alone once more.
These six years Tate has felt content with her life however seeing her siblings turned strangers with their satisfied endings made her feel like something was missing with her life, something... someone.
Tate was then snapped out of her train of thought as she looked up to see a young man staring at her in confusion. "Hi?" Tate asked him as his green eyes stared into her blue eyes.ย "Mind if I..." The young man asked shyly before Tate scooted over.
"I don't own the bench, go ahead," Tate answered lightheartedly. Tate felt something draw her into the boy, a sense of familiarity, a sense of comfort. Tate tried shaking the feeling off before the young man sipped his coffee.
"Stop drinking so much coffee, you'll die," Tate teased before covering her mouth in embarrassment. "Sorry, I don't... I..." Tate tried defending herself, it was like her brain spoke faster than her mouth.
Yet, the boy didn't glare at her or start scolding her, in return, he started laughing. The boy found her comment amusing before he threw away the coffee cup. "If it makes you feel better, I'll stop drinking coffee in front of you," Five stated before a young girl ran towards him.
"You okay, Betty?" Tate asked her daughter as Five picked up the young girl. "How old is she?" Five asked as Tate stood up protectively. "6," Tate stated firmly as Betty held onto Five's arm.
"Protective, now are we?" Five mocked before Tate pulled Betty away from him. "I'm a Mom, of course I am," Tate stated before she grabbed her bag. "This might sound stupid... but do you want to go out for a cup of coffee?" Five offered.
"I don't know..." Tate hesitated as she glanced over at Betty. "We can bring the kid with us," Five offered before Tate smiled. Tate felt a sense of comfort as the two walked out of the park with Betty in between of them.
Betty tried reaching over to the nine marigold flowers that had grown behind the tree before Five and Tate pulled her back. "I said don't play with the marigold, Betty," Tate scolded before Five interlocked his hand with her.
On the twelfth hour of the eighth day of August 2024, absolutely nothing out of the ordinary occurred. You might say it was just a normal day. โ Pogo
