SEVENTEEN | YOU'RE SURE ABOUT DUMB AND DUMBER OVER THERE?
After Tate had calmed Five down to the best of her abilities. She agreed to approach Lance Ribbons, Five and Tate's boss.
"Sir?" Five greeted Lance as Tate held onto Five, monitoring his state. "Mr. Five, I thought you said you had this situation under control," Lance reminded the two before Five spoke up.
"The situation is proving more kinetic than anticipated," Five answered before Tate turned to Luther and Diego.
"No shit, we have the Texas Tentacles Massacre out here," Lance said before Tate chimed in. "I was thinking Christmas Octopus Cruelty," Tate referenced another mass murder movie before Lance stifled a chuckle.
"Okay, I need to know who responsible for this bloodbath," Lance asked before Tate sighed sharply as Five stared at her. The two remained wary, remembering the Crypto incident involving Ben a few years ago.
"Well, sir, I do have a few leads, but we need a favor before I can follow up," Five requested before Tate turned to Lance. "I'm listening," Lance nodded along to Five's request.
"Okay, you see those two morons over there? They are our brothers," Tate pointed to Luther picking up a dismembered leg and arm while Diego asked what the hell he was doing. "Now they're kind of stepping all over the crime scene, asking dumb questions, getting in our way,"
"Do you mind taking them back to HQ?" Five asked before Lance turned to Tate. "You know, show 'em around, maybe let them hold some guns," Five added as Lance gave a disgruntled sigh.
"And you approved of this?" Lance asked, crossing his arms. "Everything except the gun-holding part," Tate grinned proudly. "You're asking me to babysit," Lance said as he stared at the couple sternly.
"You want this case solved, don't you?" Five smirked before Lance gave in. "You owe me, Five," Lance accepted before Five called out to Luther and Diego. "Diego! Luther!" He said, causing the two to turn to Five and Tate.
"Come over here, I wanna introduce you to our boss," Five informed the two as Luther and Diego walked over to the group. "Deputy Director Lance Ribbons," Tate pointed to the man as Lance straightened himself up.
"It's an honor to meet you, sir," Diego firmly gave Lance a handshake. "Hello, Lance," Luther greeted, repeating Diego's action. "I understand you gentlemen have a keen interest in the CIA," Lance started, faking a smile.
"You're sure about this?" Tate leaned over to Five as the two watched the interaction. "Not at all..." Five admitted before Tate to roll her eyes. "Tate!" Julia called out to her boss. "Julia!" Tate smiled, turning to her.
"What are you doing here?" Tate asked her assistant as Julia lent out a cup of hot chocolate. "I'd love to give you an insider look if you're interested," Lance offered as Tate sipped the warm liquid.
"No, not reallyโ"Luther shook his head before Diego stopped him, raising his arm to Luther's chest. "Are you kidding?" Diego asked before turning to Luther. "We're in," Diego accepted the offer immediately, causing Tate to scoff.
"Good," Lance nodded before slipping them his business card. "Meet me at the office," Lance instructed before walking away. Luther smacked Diego's shoulder, causing Diego to turn at him in confusion.
"WHy do I have to go?" Luther asked as Lance approached Tate. "Are you sure about this?" Lance asked before Tate nodded again. "I'll take them, give you one less headache," Tate offered before Lance sighed in relief.
"Good," Lance smiled before walking away. "Guys!" Tate called out to her brothers. "Let's go," Tate ordered before Luther and Diego walked to her. "Why are you yelling?" Diego asked before Tate answered.
"Because as to not embarrass myself or Five further in this matter, I will be taking you two the CIA," Tate grinned before Diego rolled his eyes. "Thank you, baby sis," Diego muttered before Tate glared at him.
"That's Mrs Hargreeves to you," Tate reminded sternly before Julia waved at them. "Oh yeah, this is my assistant, Julia," Tate introduced her to Luther and Diego. "Hi," Julia greeted before Tate asked Julia to round up a car.
"Can I ask for a favour before we go to the CIA?" Diego asked, causing Tate to nod. "Tate! I got a car!" Julia called out to the girl before Tate motioned Luther and Diego to follow them.
"Dude, hurry up, man," Diego tossed the mirror back inside the lockers. "I'm gonna be late for my first deep brief," Diego said before Luther spoke up. "How can you be excited at a time like this?" Luther asked, sulking on the ground.
Tate walked into the room, "Hey, we have 45 minutes left," Tate stared at her brothers who weren't dressed yet. "My god..." Tate muttered as she remembered she was in Luther's workplace.
"You know you saw Dad put a bullet in Ben's head, right?" Luther reminded as Diego fixed his attire. "Like it was a regular Tuesday," Luther added as Tate and Diego took a seat next to Luther. "Yeah, well, you know, moping in a strip club locker room ain't gonna do jackshit, either," Diego argued.
"Ben didn't even want to go on that mission, man," Luther sighed, staring down at the ground. "I forced him," Luther sighed before Tate stared at Luther, realizing he was feeling guilty. "Why could I never stand up to Dad like you did? I should have stood up for Ben," Luther turned to his sister.
"Luther... don't blame yourself, it's in the past," Tate reassured him before giving him a hug. "I should have stood up for the family, I just..." Luther trailed off. "I should have stood up for Sloane," Luther chuckled sadly before Tate patted his head.
"Are you not gonna do anything?" Tate asked Diego before he ignored her and got up. Luther placed his hand on Diego's knee, stopping him. "Hey, can I ask you something?" Luther questioned.
Diego sighed before he nodded. "Am I a bad leader?" Luther asked his brother with genuine honesty. "Yes," Diego nodded with no hesitation. "I've always told you that," Diego reminded as Luther pouted turning to the ground.
"Hey, big guys, look," Diego sighed, taking off his sunglasses. "You're not a bad person, you know?" Diego tried comforting him. "Listen, we got another chance at saving Ben. Not the Ben we like, but still it's a second chance,"
"Yeah," Luther sighed as Tate smiled proudly at Diego for his attempt at comforting him. "Got a second chance," Luther muttered. "Hey, will you do one more thing for me?" Luther asked his brother.
"Yeah?" Diego asked as he wore the sunglasses again. "Take off those glasses and never wear them again," Luther requested before Diego took off the shades and stared back at him. "Wanna go to the CIA?" Tate asked her two brothers.
"I would love that," Diego immediately nodded before Luther got up from the floor. "Let's do it," Luther agreed before Tate smiled at the two. "I'll be outside, with the car and the assistant," Tate reminded her two brothers before she walked out of the room.

HAD TO ADD THE DELETED SCENE BECAUSE THIS IS ONE OF THE DARNEST CUTEST SCENES OF LUTHER AND DIEGO IN THE LAST FOUR SEASONS BUT I ONCE AGAIN SAY THE FIVE AND LILA ARC WILL BE GONE (NO MENTAL OR PHYSICAL CHEATING) AND THEIR TIME IN THE SUBWAY WILL BE LOWERED TO 4-5 YEARS BECAUSE 7 YEARS IS A LONG ASS TIME.
WE'RE ONTO EPISODE 5 NOW YAYYYYYYYYYYYY (I'M ADDING THE FINAL SCENE FROM EP4 TO EP5 BECAUSE IT MAKES SENSE FOR THE STORY PLOT)
