Chapter ten,

it's a cruel, cruel night

That damn horrible feeling in her stomach had returned, again. She didn't really know the reasoning of this damn feeling in her body, it was almost suffocating her.

The only time that it managed to disappear had been when she was in the library with her boyfriend. Oh, how good it felt to actually call him her boyfriend. Though, her cheeks redden even more knowing that they had amazing sex at the library — it might've not been in a nice romantic place that you see in movies, but just being around him no matter where it's perfect for her.

The smile had never once bothered to disappear on their face's even when arriving at the Carpenters apartment where the group was clueless about it, and now she just stands here in the restroom and just easily discarding her clothes leaving her nude, her eyes just glancing at the hickies that were in her lower abdomen and her inner thighs where he — Shit save the details, scavenging for comfortable to clothes to wear and quickly adjusting it on.

A loud knock was ultimately heard, and an impatient Quinn Bailey, yelling, "Hey. Hurry up, I gotta get a condom." She hollered.

"Calm down, Quinn. . ." Davina ultimately hollered back and grabbing her duffel bag that held all of her belongings, not even noticing that she dropped her mothers letter onto the ground before unlocking the bathroom and just being met with Quinn, "Bathroom is all yours, you could've just asked him to pull out, or next time keep the condoms in your room." She had given the girl a sarcastic smile.

Davina had a really damn complicated friendship with Quinn Bailey, perhaps it was the fear of the girl sleeping with Chad at some point. Though, it was just her insecurities.

   "Bitch," Quinn had quietly muttered to herself, her jaw clenching. She really holds a deep hatred for the girl, she doesn't even know why her brother is so obsessed with her. Except her eyes soon lingered onto something on the floor, a very sick wickedly smile appearing on her lips.

   The letter.

   Davina ultimately wandered towards the kitchen, but not falling into anyones view as her jaw clenched hearing something, "I think you should get out of the city tonight. . ." Tara sweetly spoken to her boyfriend, "Considering what had happened to you last year, I just don't want you to get hurt." She softly announced.

   She was ultimately ready to announce her damn presence only for her boyfriend to speak that given her ultimately butterflies, "I'm not leaving this city with some stupid masked killer out on the loose, and leaving Davina to fend for herself, she's far too important to me. . ." A soft smile lingered on his lips as he stirred the pasta before continuing, "I had brought her into this mess with Ghostface, and leaving her behind. I can't do that, I cannot loose her." He breathed out.

Except he including her were both so clueless, he might've brought her into a group of friends who were all attacked by a masked killer ( their friend ), but Davina Kayoko has always been apart of this franchise and it's time she comes to know of her biological father, and who he is.

"Ugh, gross. At this point you might as well drop what you're doing and make out with your girlfriend." Mindy fake gagged, as she was just setting up the table not even sparring to glance upwards.

"Dude. That's so inappropriate, what if she heard you, Mindy?" Chad grumbled out, it was amusing to Davina who was eavesdropping as she recalls all the dirty things he was saying to her during sex.

So, she found it a bit amusing to make her appearance known, her arms wrapping around his waist that ultimately led him to jump when he felt someone's arms, his head titling down when he noticed it was his girlfriend, pressing a soft kiss on top of her head, "You look good in my clothes, pretty girl." He soothed her arm.

Tara had then ultimately turned her own head to just look at the wall not wanting to see this. It already hurts enough.

"You didn't hear what dingus was saying, right?" Chad had embarrassingly asked his girlfriend who had only snickered and given it away that she did overhear.

   "Hey. No need to feel embarrassed —" She massaged his chest a soft smirk appearing on her lips, "We can revisit all the inappropriate things that we were doing earlier." She had teasingly winked at him that made him shake his head in amusement at her bluntness.

   Mindy gasped, "I knew it — Also, gross!"

   "Wow. . ." Tara had practically scoffed attempting to not clench her jaw, "What even happened to the no sex rule?" Davina noticed the jealousy written on the girls eyes.

   She somehow fucking knew it. Knew this little bit— likes him.

   "Well we're still both very much alive, Tara. As you can see nothing happened to us except all the hickies that are by his dick." She pointed out.

   Mindy dropped several utensils onto the ground after hearing that, "Please, don't spare the details, I don't need to hear what my brother or you did. I love you, but no." She had then easily shook her head, and had shuddered in horror as she attempted to not picture what Davina said to them.

   All while, Chad's cheeks had easily tinted pink. He really does adore the girl who's beside him, though deciding to change the subject as she focused her attention on him, "I'm going to bother, Ani. You need any help before I depart from here?" She didn't want to be that type of person to not help, so it reasoning into why she asked him.

"Nope. I'm all good here, pretty girl. Go sit your cute ass at the sofa and I'll come get you when dinners ready," He held her face cheeks in between his hands, his head lowering down as he pressed a soft kiss onto her lips, "I love you." He softly told her.

"I love you too," She had grinned, all while giving him one last peck on the lips. As she left the kitchen and passing Sam who entered the kitchen, as the friend group had just began to discuss about who knows what.

   Davina made way towards her cousin, sneaking up behind her, "Boo!" She smacked her hand on the sofa and ultimately leading her cousin to flinch, "Got you." She laughed at her cousins reaction.

   "Hate you," Anika gone on and playfully rolled her own eyes at her cousins enjoyment of scaring her, as she closed her book, "I'm still not ready when you plan to scare me like every year, but I'm actually prepared this time." She pointed her finger at her cousin.

   It was always a tradition every October. Halloween is always her favorite time around, though it would soon turn into something she hates the most.

   "You sure?" Davina had easily teased her cousin before speaking, again, "Not giving out the secret, but I know Christmas isn't around yet, but I was kinda wondering if it could just be us two celebrating together like all the other times?" She bit on the inside of her cheek.

   If only she was just aware that these plans would never occur. Her cousin will ultimately be taken away from her, and it'll damage her in the worst way possible.

   "Yeah, we totally can, Vina. Though, where would we possibly —" Anika spoken as her eyes had just caught the attention of the television that also caught Davina's attention that made both of their eyes just widened, "Guys! What the hell!" "What the fuck!?" Both girls had just called out loudly.

   The friend-group had slowly entered the living room with Chad just standing behind his girlfriend and easily just placing his hands onto her shoulder, his fingers caressing her covered up skin. All while, their attention was hardcore focus on the television screen.

   "We're hearing sources from inside of the homicide devision that the prime suspect is none other than Samantha Carpenter. One of the survivors of the Woodsboro killings in 2022 — Seen here is her attacking a woman on the street last night. In the wait of the Woodsboro tragedy last year, rumors sprout up here online that Carpenter was actually responsible for the killings, blaming her crimes on her boyfriend, Richie Kirsch and Amber Free—"

   Sam quickly grabbed the control and automatically angrily turned the television off, awkward silence was detected in the room with the friend-group. Only for Sam to just quickly go on and heading to the dining table with her sister in pursuit alongside with Mindy.

   Davina had easily tilted her own head upwards and offering her boyfriend a very soft smile, speaking softly, "You should go with them to check up on her, Chad. She doesn't deserve this shit." She had given him a sadden look because no one can possibly understand Sam's position.

   "Agreed. I'll be back," He leaned his head down and placing a soft kiss on her lips that made her smile as he wandered towards the dining room.

   "I'm so freaking happy that you're happy, Vina. . ." Anika smiled at her cousin, "I haven't seen you this happy since your moms passing, and I'm glad to see you happy." She squeezed her cousins hand reassurance.

  She wasn't prepared for tonight. The happiness will soon shatter, and it'll be like the time her mom passed away.

   "It feels so good to be my normal self, again. . ." She had replied before continuing, "Except the minor moments of my lashing out, but I'm overall happy. He just makes me really happy, but you also make me happy." She had softly answered.

Their conversation was then ultimately getting cut short when all of their phones were going on damn blast, "Now what seems to be the problem now." Davina sighed in annoyance only for the annoyance to soon turn into fear of what she opened.

Quinn was getting brutally attacked by Ghostface. Ghostface was inside of this damn apartment with them.

"What the fuck are we even supposed to fucking do? What the fuck?" Davina had cried out in pure horror, she didn't even notice when Chad made his way towards her with his arms wrapping around her waist in a very protective manner.

The silence and not a single response in the room was just driving her insane only then for Mindy to them quietly holler out to all of them, "Run." The door was pushed open with Quinn's lifeless body just quickly being thrown directly at her cousin.

She wasn't fucking ready; She wasn't ready for what Ghostface will then ultimately cause tonight and call her before he vanishes and just leaves her completely alone. Alone in the world without her only family.
