when you see the bride before the ceremony but that only applies to the groom... Kai pulled up a smile before entering the bride's dressing room, where he saw Y/N sitting on the couch in her white dress, holding a bouquet in her hands.

She had a huge smile on her face. She looked really happy and why wouldn't she be happy? She was marrying the person she loved her whole life.

Maybe I would've had the same happiness that she has if I confessed on time...

"You look beautiful." He said.

Why didn't I move on in all these years...?

"Are you nervous?" He asked and she gave him a nod. "Mikey is the luckiest guy you know... Marrying a girl like you."

"Kai... What if Mikey finds me ugly?"

Kai let out a laugh as he crouched down in front of her and placed his hands on top of hers "I'll kick his butt if he says something like that."

Should I tell her?

"Kai, you know I am really happy today. Now that I look back to my teenage years, that was the time when I made a lot of memories... Good and bad. Lost a few close ones. It would be nice if they were present on this special day. But, things are not always in our favour. If I were to tell I truth... I never thought I would see this day. Should I let you in on a secret?"

"Go on."

"I would've died a long time ago."

His eyes widened. At first, he thought that she was out of her mind, saying stuff like that but she sounded serious and there was no way that she would joke about something like that.

"But Takemichi and I changed that. I was ready to accept my death but I am glad that things changed. If it hadn't then I wouldn't have met you... I wouldn't have been here, getting married to Mikey. Takemichi came to past to save his girlfriend but ended up saving everyone."

"You aren't lying right?" He asked

"Yup!"

Kai smiled "Then I am glad too..." He believed her words because he knew that she is the most trustworthy person. Also... It doesn't matter whether her words are true or not... All that matters is that she is happy in the end.

It will ruin her mood.

"Y/N... The time has come." Her father said as he entered her room.

"I'll get going now. Bye," Kai said and exited the room.

Mikey felt nervous. He was waiting for his bride to show up from the door in front of him. He couldn't even imagine how she would be looking in that white dress because no matter what she'll surpass his expectations.

His heartbeat increased when the music started playing and the door slowly opened. His wait was over... Y/N walked out with her father and the smile on her face was brightest. She looked beautiful... He couldn't believe that he was getting married to her.
She looked like an angel in his eyes.

She walked closer and closer until the point where she stopped and her father locked her hands with his. "Mikey?" She spoke up, spanning him out of his world.

"Take care of my daughter." Her father said and Mikey gave him a nod "Don't worry. I'll take care of her."

"You can't even take care of yourself," Y/N said in a low voice that one Mikey could hear. "I am trying to be polite here! Don't tease me..."

Mikey interlocked his fingers with hers and started walking on the flowers covered aisle.

Y/N glanced over to him and all she could think about was how handsome he looked in that black suit and neatly styled hair. "You look handsome," she said making him smile. He wanted to look passionate and confident as he walked on the aisle with her but she was making him shy and nervous by complimenting him out of nowhere.

"I might be being rude to the guests by not looking at them and it's your fault. I just can't take my eyes off you..."

Mikey gave her hand a little squeeze as he tried to keep his composure. Y/N found it cute.

They finally stepped on the dais and faced each other. The priest turned on the mic and started the ceremony. "With both bride and groom here in the presence of their family, friends and loved ones... I will now proceed with the ceremony. The bride L/N and the groom Sano Manjirou, I would like you two to present your vows to each other and express your feelings for the bright future you have ahead of you."

Mikey took in a deep breath as he picked up the mic and brought it closer to his lips. "Before I state my promises to the beloved person standing with me... Holding my hand... I would like to say a few words. I don't know when, how or where I fell in love with you but I am sure that it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. No matter what, you never left my side... You always came to me... You didn't abandon me even when I was mean to you and was hurting you. I don't deserve a person as kind and sweet as you. You cherished every memory and I am sure you'll keep on doing that. There is this saying that destiny decides who you meet in your life but it's your heart who decides who stays and my heart chose you... Never letting you go and keep you forever.
There's no one better than you, you are perfect and I love you with all my heart.

So, I promise that I'll never let your smile disappear from your beautiful face and treat you like the queen you are. I promise to be by your side no matter what happens and I'll never let anyone hurt you because you are precious. I'll fill your life with happiness today, tomorrow and all the years we have together because I love you..."

Y/N picked up a mic too "We met each other 20 years ago and it's been a journey since then. We have gone through many changes... Our lives have been a rollercoaster ride. You are the sweetest person I've met. Always being there for your loved ones and helping them no matter what. I have found comfort in you. I am grateful that I met you. I promise to spend the rest of my days by your side. I promise to laugh and cry with you. Support you in everything. From here on out I give you all my love and trust. You will always be the person I love the most."

"It feels light after hearing those heartful words from the bride and the groom for each other, showing the love they formed in all these years and giving each time strength. "Sano Manjirou, do you take L/N Y/N as your lawful and beloved wife?"

"I do."

"L/N Y/N, do you take Sano Manjirou as your lawful and beloved husband?"

"I do."

"You may seal your vows with a kiss."

Mikey pulled her closer making her laugh. He wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her chin up with his fingers as he placed his soft lips on hers.

"I love you," he said between the kiss. "I love you too."

"I would like everyone to congratulate Mr And Mrs Sano for their beginning of a new relationship."

Omgg!! It's over. I spent six months on this story. This was my first fanfic so I won't say it's the best out there. But, I have learnt a lot while writing it. I would like to thank everyone who has been reading this story and supporting it. I love you all.
