โI love you, Damon.โ

AS THE SUN disappears from the sky, so did Paris' fear for water bodies. What she did today, was beyond incredible. She overcame her fear. She wasn't afraid anymore. Now, she likes water. Especially, the ocean that rests in his eyes. The pair of ocean eyes that she would let herself relax in, the pair of ocean eyes she admires. The pair of ocean eyes that belong to none other than the raven-haired vampire a couple rooms back.
When Damon almost died, her heart felt like it stopped. So, she did what none of them thought she would do. Save him. He almost died. Now, she isn't going to waste a second trying to deny her feelings.
Paris pushes herself up from her bed in the Salvatore Boarding House. She wanted to tell Meredith how she felt, but she was still in the hospital, so she's just going to tell her when she comes home.
The brunette opens the door to leave her room and marches towards Damon's. A few knocks were to be heard in Damon's bedroom door and it confuses Damon as to why someone would knock so late.
Thus, with a creased forehead and a narrowed pair of blue eyes, he approaches the door to answer it. To his surprise, the door revealed the very person that he wanted to talk to.
"Paris." Damon said. His blue eyes stared right into her green ones, igniting the spark inside of her, making her feel alive more than ever.
"Hey." Paris said rather faintly with a small smile.
"What aren't you asleep?" Damon asked.
"I need to get this out of my system. Because I know that if I don't do it now, I'll regret it later." Paris told him.
Damon's curiosity was piqued. He lets go of the knob and looks at her as she takes a deep breath.
"You hurt me. You manipulated me. You played me and you lied to me-" Paris started and Damon furrows his eyebrows at her beginning statement, causing him to interrupt her.
"If you're going to lecture me about every single bad thing that I've done, get in line. It's Caroline's turn." Damon joked.
"Damon. Let me finish." Paris said.
Damon sighs before he lets Paris continue. Paris looks at Damon tenderly as words fall out of her mouth automatically, like she's been practicing it all her life.
"But despite all of that, all of the bad things you've done to me, I still can't deny the feelings that I have for you." Paris said.
Damon's creased forehead smooths out, his lips parting at what he just heard.
"I'm scared of the love I have for you. Because I know that it'll ruin me. And I also know that I will let it. But I'm not scared anymore. You know what scared me? When you almost died. I thought I lost you. Now, I'm not gonna waste any more time. I'm not gonna be scared about anything anymore apart from the fact that I almost lost you without telling you how much I love you." Paris confessed.
Damon's eyes slightly widened at her confession. His heart skipped a beat. Sparks ignited inside of him as he heard those words that fed his pure heart.
"I love you, Damon." Paris said, and with that, Damon's hands made its way towards her cheeks as he pulls her into a passionate kiss.
"I love you, too. God, I love you so much." Damon told her as they pull away to breathe.
Paris giggles before her lips met his again. She pushes Damon so that they get inside his room, then she kicks the door close. Her right hand tangles with his hair as her left hand rests on the back of his neck to deepen the kiss. Damon has his wrapped around her waist, exploring her back.
Damon uses his vampire speed to get them to his bed. He pulls away from the kiss and gently laid Paris on top of the sheets. He lets his fingers caress her cheeks as his eyes explores her face. A smile made its way to his lips before he connects it with hers again.
Damon takes her pajama shirt off leaving her with her bra, and the pendant of her necklace resting upon her collarbone. He takes off his shirt before kissing her once again, getting intense every second. His right hand caressed her arm before intertwining his hand with hers.
The evening felt warm and amazing as minutes passed by with Paris's figure enveloped by Damon's.
โ
Damon has her in his arms as he embraced her, her naked back facing him. He intertwined his fingers with hers, making Paris smile. Damon pulls her closer, burying his face in the curls of her dark brown hair.
Paris smiled even more but her smile slowly faded when she saw an 'x' mark on Damon's hand. Paris furrows her eyebrows as she runs her thumb over the mark.
"What is this?" Paris asked, her voice slightly cracking.
Damon raises his hand but didn't let go of hers. He, as well, furrows his eyebrows in confusion. He doesn't know what that mark is all about.
"I have no idea." Damon answered.
Paris turns around to face him before she spoke. "You think it has something to do with Camila?" Paris asked, her voice cracking again.
"I'll ask Bonnie." Damon told her and she nodded.
He reaches for his phone on the nightstand and takes a picture of his hand where the mark is placed before sending it to Bonnie. Damon turns back to face Paris before speaking.
"Your voice keeps cracking. You sound like a frog." Damon teased.
Paris glared at him playfully before laughing. "It's because I'm thirsty." She said.
"Well then, I'll get you some water or hot chocolate, because I know you don't like coffee." Damon said.
"Hot chocolate would be nice." Paris replied with a smile. Damon kisses her in the forehead before he climbs out of the bed to make her a cup of hot chocolate.
As he made his way downstairs, he felt a little light-headed. He shook it off before he continues to go to the kitchen.
โ
Camila takes a knife from the table and cuts her palm, drawing blood and falling into the wooden bowl.
Aurora eyed the witch as she walks towards her.
"What are you doing, my love?" She asked Camila.
Camila smirks at her lover's question before glancing at her. "Making sure that my little surprise will be executed perfectly. By the time I'm done with my plan, there will be no Paris to worry." She replied.
โ
Paris puts on her pajamas again because she felt cold, hence, the hot chocolate. She was pulling her hair out of her shirt and adjusting it when her necklace suddenly stung her neck and chest, causing her to grunt and yank the necklace off of her. She rubs part it stung as she frowns in confusion.
Then, Damon's phone started to ring. Paris' eyebrows knitted in confusion while she eyed the device. She approached it and sees the caller ID being Bonnie. Paris didn't know that she was still up, but maybe it's a good thing so that she could tell them what the mark is about.
"Hey, Bonnie." Paris said when she answered be call.
On the other side of the call, Bonnie's eyes widened at Paris' voice as her grimoire sits on her lap.
"Paris? Why do you have Damon's phone?" Bonnie asked.
"It's a long story." Paris only said.
"Look, you need to get out of there, now." Bonnie told her. Paris' forehead creased at the tone of her voice.
"What's wrong?" Paris asked.
"Paris, the mark on Damon's hand symbolizes the insanity hex. It's supposed to mess with his mind until he goes crazy and kills people, whoever they are." Bonnie said.
Paris' eyes widened as her lips parted at the information.
"Oh my God." Paris breathed shakily.
"Paris, get out of there!" Bonnie yelled.
Paris makes a quick turn to run the hell out of the house but she gasps when she couldn't even leave the room because she went face to face with Damon. His eyes fixated on the brunette, but unlike earlier, his eyes are lifeless. Empty. It's like he's not there.
"Damon." Paris said as she takes a few steps backward, her whole body shaking.
Damon stared at her nonchalantly. He takes a few steps closer to her and she keeps backing away.
"Damon. It's Paris. Please." Paris pleaded.
Damon's blue eyes were suddenly replaced with darkened ones with veins around the sides of his eyes. His fangs appeared and that's when Paris felt like her soul left her body in fear.
Damon speeds his way towards Paris and sinks his teeth in the flesh of her neck. Paris makes a throaty scream as she tries to break free from the grasps of the possessed vampire.
"Damon, stop!" Paris screamed as she hits his back, but he wouldn't budge.
She drops the phone that still has an on-going call with Bonnie and she cries for help. Damon sinks his teeth deeper into her neck as Paris' hitting subsided.
Her hand felt weak, her whole body felt weak. Her struggling came to stop, and she took her last breath before everything in her senses disappeared. Her vision went black despite her eyes being wide open, a tear escaping.
As soon as he couldn't hear her heart beating anymore, he lifts his head from her neck. He sighs at the pleasure that blood brings, but when his eyes landed on the bloodied face of his victim, something inside of him broke.
"Paris?" Damon muttered. His hand cupped her cheeks. He starts to shake her, getting her to wake up.
"P-Paris." Damon said.
His eyes glistened at the sight of the emptiness in her eyes. He looks back and forth between her face and the bite he had given her as his hand shook.
"No. No. Paris. Wake up. Paris, w-wake up. Please." Damon pleaded.
He bites his wrist and feeds her his blood. "Come on, Paris." He whispered. But she wasn't taking any of it. She remained... still.
He removes his wrist from her lips which is now stained with blood. He felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. Tears start to fall uncontrollably. Sobs erupted from his throat. His hands cupped her cheek as his broken blue eyes look at hers.
"Paris. Please. Please, wake up." Damon pleaded over and over and over again. But she couldn't hear him.
The evening proceeded with an opposite ambiance from earlier. Half an hour ago, the evening was warm and amazing. Now, the evening felt utterly cold and terrifying. All in just one snap.
Little did he know, Lucien's blood in her system is now taking over. The question is, is it for the better or for worse.

I cried slightly as I wrote this because I was imagining what it looks like. Aahhh.
