ย  ย  FOR HOURS, PARIS had been constantly drifting away from reality. She's constantly spacing out to the point where Damon is just waiting for her to zone out so he could snap her back to reality again.

"Paris." Her name echoed in her ears as if it was said by someone a couple of feet away from her when in fact, that person was only standing in front of her.

"Paris." Bonnie said. She could now hear it clearly.

Paris' eyesight unblurred and focused on Bonnie as her eyebrows furrowed. "What?" Paris asked.

Bonnie glances at Damon and he could only shrug as a response. She looks back at Paris to ask her the same question she's been asking her while she zoned out.

"I said, have you found Camila's journal yet?" Bonnie asked.

The day after they caught Camila, Bonnie came over to devise a plan to get information out of Camila. To figure out why she needs the serum.

"N-No. I wasn't able to." Paris told Bonnie.

Bonnie sighs in defeat. They have been trying to come up with a plan for hours but it's already afternoon and they haven't even come up with one.

"I should just dive right into her mind and get the information out of her," Bonnie suggested recklessly, obviously frustrated.

"Camila is smart. She wouldn't leave her mind unprotected." Damon commented. If there's someone who knows Camila at least a bit, it's Damon.

"Her magic's muted. How hard can it be?" Bonnie asked.

"The shackles muted her ability to do magic, not the spells that's already done, at least that's what Alaric found out. Camila declared her mind extensively important the day the witches tried to kill her. You're not strong enough to break through those barriers, Bon-bon." Damon explained.

Finally, Paris listened and her Sherlock senses suspects something about the witches wanting Camila dead.

"Why did the witches want Camila dead though?" Paris asked.

Both Paris and Bonnie waited for Damon's answer for a really good question.

"Something about turning to dark magic. Anyway, the witches got mad then Camila got mad. But since Camila used dark magic, she was able to kill most of the witches before they succeeded in 'killing' her." Damon explained.

Bonnie narrowed her eyes as Damon mentioned something about Camila killing a lot of the witches.

"Wait. How many witches did she kill?" Bonnie asked.

"Around sixty maybe? That's why there's no way you would be able to get inside her mind." Damon said.

Bonnie raises her eyebrows as if she just came up with the perfect plan. And she did actually.

Damon notices Bonnie's change of facial expression and both him and Paris exchanged glances before looking at Bonnie with scrunched eyebrows.

"What's with the face?" Damon asked.

"Why haven't you told me this before?"

"Maybe because my crazy ex is not exactly a topic I enjoy talking about."

"Damon, that's our plan!" Bonnie exclaimed.

Damon nor Paris didn't get what Bonnie was talking about, therefore, their eyebrows remained pushed together as they stared at Bonnie.

"Damon, don't you remember what our plan was to take down Klaus? We searched for the hotspot where a hundred witches were burned." Bonnie told him.

Damon's creased forehead slowly smooths out as he came to the realization of what Bonnie was implying. How did he not think of this sooner?

"When witches die violently, their place of death becomes a hotspot for magic." Damon muttered as he came to that realization.

"I can absorb their magic." Bonnie smiled as he looked at Damon with hope.

"You'll be able to enter her mind...You'll be able to kill her." Damon whispered, while a small smile appeared on his lips.

Paris' eyebrows raised at the explanation of the two. After a couple of hours of finding a solution to end this predicament, they've finally come up with one.

"You just became less annoying." Damon said before walking away to get to his leather jacket.

Damon slipped on his jacket and looked at Paris with a confused expression when he sees that she wasn't getting ready to join him and Bonnie.

"What are you doing? Come on." Damon told her.

Paris slowly stands up and rubbed her palms together as she approached Damon.

"I'm not coming." Paris told him.

Damon sends her a puzzled expression after hearing what his girlfriend said. "What do you mean you're not coming? Stefan's not here. I'm not leaving you alone. Meredith would kill me, not that she could, but she would definitely try." Damon told her.

"I was thinking of checking up on Lucien." Paris said.

Just like what Paris had predicted, Damon sighs and rolls his eyes at her statement.

"He's not a kid to check up on, Paris. He'll be fine." Damon tried to convince her.

"No, he's not. We haven't heard from him for hours, and that's unusual since he finds delight in annoying you or Stefan all the time. You know he's not fine." Said Paris.

And he does. He knows Lucien wasn't fine. Last night was the first time he saw Lucien truly angry. It just showed how much he cared for Alexis. After all, she was all he has before he met Paris and the others. She was the one who helped him get through a lot. They're best friends.

"Fine. I want hourly updates. Do not even think about ghosting me." Damon told Paris.

Paris lets out a soft laugh before nodding and giving Damon a quick kiss on the cheek before walking away.

"Wait, that's it? A kiss on the cheek?" Damon joked as he looked at Paris who turned around, making her walk backward.

"You'll get more after the witch bitch is dead." Paris said with a wide smile.

"Well then, my desire to murder the witch bitch just went sky high!" Damon replied, earning a laugh from Paris as she goes upstairs to change.

Paris pulls over her car in front of Lucien's house, or mansion, to be exact. Lucien tends to live in luxury, so, it's not really surprising.

Paris steps out of her car and eyes the mansion as she nears the front porch. Her white sneakers stepped on the marble flooring of the porch while she approaches the front door.

The young vampire was hesitant to knock. She wasn't sure if Lucien actually wanted to see her after what he said last night. But she's already here, might as well get on with it.

Paris raises her hand and lets her knuckles come into contact with the door. She knocked a few times before bringing her hands behind her as she fiddled with her fingers nervously.

The door opened and it revealed, of course, Lucien. He was slightly surprised by Paris' appearance considering that he was sure he scared her last night.

"Paris. What are you doing here?" He asked.

Paris was glad to see him still keeping it together. He still looked as neat as ever.

"I-uhm-wanted to check up on you, to see if you're okay and if you want help." Paris anxiously replied.

Lucien could only look at Paris and swallow hard. After what he had told her last night, he can't help but act awkwardly around her, and he could tell that she was too. Now he regrets what he said.

When Paris notices Lucien has spaced out, which she had done multiple times today, she decided to speak again.

"Can I come in?" Paris asked, hoping that Lucien would let her in.

"You can't." Lucien replied bluntly.

Paris was taken aback by his response. Her eyes blinked rapidly as her eyebrows shot upward.

"Oh. Uhm... O-Okay." Paris stammered, feeling stupid as she stood there.

"No. I mean, you literally can't come in. The house is under Alexis' name. Obviously, she's not here, so..." Lucien explained.

Lucien could just switch the owners of the house but, considering that he doesn't know how to find Alexis since any kind of locator spells didn't work, this was his only basis to know if Alexis is still alive. As long as vampires can't enter without invitation, she's still breathing.

"Right. Well, I should probably go." Paris said.

The young vampire turns around to walk away but not before Lucien spoke again.

"But, that doesn't mean you can't help me from the porch." Lucien offered.

Paris glances back at Lucien and gives him a smile, Lucien returning it as well before gathering up all they needed to set up on the porch.

After five hourly updates to Damon, Paris received a call from Damon saying that they're back in Mystic Falls and he and Bonnie are ready to continue their plan.

Paris requested for Lucien to come with her, but he refused. He said that he wouldn't be able to help when he's too busy strangling Camila to death.

Paris understood his perspective. Camila really did mess him up. Paris just told him that she would give her an update of what they found out.

"How are you feeling?" Asked Paris to Bonnie before they entered the cell where Camila's imprisoned.

"I feel powerful." Bonnie simply replied.

Paris, Bonnie, and Damon walked altogether inside the cell, meeting a rather vulnerable Camila sitting on the ground with her wrists still shackled.

"You look awful." Damon said as his face contorted into a disgusted one.

"I'm starving, and your undercooked pancakes aren't really helping." Camila said, looking over at the plate of half-finished pancakes a few feet away from her.

"How dare you? My pancakes are perfection." Damon retorted.

"What are you doing here? Are you gonna torture me until I say something? Not gonna happen." Camila said.

Despite being weak and hungry, she still managed to be a bitch.

"No torture. Bonnie here will just take a look in your evil little mind." Damon said with a wide grin.

"Bonnie is not strong enough to enter my mind." Camila said confidently.

Bonnie approached Camila and crouched down in front of her.

"Yes, she is." Damon only said before Bonnie grabs Camila's head, immediately connecting her mind to Camila's as she shrieked both in pain and fright.

"How the hell...did she get this m-much power?" Camila struggled to say as her mind felt like it was being dug.

A shriek once again left her lips as Bonnie dives deep into her mind, searching for pieces of information that would lead them to why Camila wants the serum.

Paris and Damon watched as they waited for Bonnie to find something.

"The witches. She killed her because of what she did." Bonnie said as her eyes remained closed.

"Get out of my head!" Camila exclaimed as she thrashed around but Bonnie forced her down with her magic.

"What did she do, Bonnie?" Paris asked.

Bonnie searched her mind for the reasons. Her eyebrows furrowed as a scene played in her mind coming from Camila's memories.

"Oh, God... She killed five witches from different covens. She used dark sacrificial magic to obtain their magic and make it her own. That's why the witches had to punish her, they were calling her an abomination." Bonnie added.

Paris and Damon shared a glance before Damon spoke up, his eyebrows still knitted in confusion.

"Why does she need more magic? Is she really that power-hungry?" Damon said.

"No! Get out of my head!" Camila shrieked even louder once she feels Bonnie was getting closer to her big secret.

Bonnie's forehead creases before her eyebrows shot upwards and her lips parted the moment she found what she needed to know.

A gasp left Bonnie's lips as she opened her eyes and exited Camila's mind. The Fell witch fell limp to the floor, completely exhausted after her mind was invaded.

Bonnie stared at the witch before Paris and Damon forced her to look at them and tell them what she saw.

"What does she want with the serum? Is it for Aurora?" Damon asked.

Bonnie swallowed before answering.

"She wants it for herself." Bonnie simply said.

"But wouldn't that mean she would lose her magic? She can't be both a vampire and witch, right?" Paris asked.

"Not in her case." Bonnie said.

She looked over at Camila for a few seconds before returning her gaze to the two vampires anticipating her explanation.

"Camila was born a siphoner."

If you haven't noticed, Paris loves her sweaters. Plus, I just realized that in the earlier chapters, Paris had green eyes (which is right since Alycia has green eyes with bits of grey and blue in them.) And then, in the more recent chapters, they were suddenly 'hazel-blue' (which idek if it's a thing). My dumb-ass self was confused and I apologize for that. Just know that I returned them back to green :)
