Meilani gasped as she broke through the ice cold water, eyes blinking the little bits of ice that clung to her eyelashes. Her, Stiles and Allison were now in a stark white room that almost looked like a parking garage but way brighter and just housed the three tubs the three teens slowly climbed out of. She tried to perk her ears for anything that could be nearby, but didn't really hear much besides a low hum sound, which was probably from the bright fluorescent lights above their heads. The room alone was unsettling and Meilani almost felt like they were in some weird kind of Heaven.

"Guys, over there," Allison whispered, her voice still echoing around the spacious room. She pointed over to the tree stump that was on the other side of the room behind them.

Meilani protectively walked in front of Allison and Stiles as they made their way over to the tree stump, each of their parents' stuff still gripped in their palms. Allison didn't have her bow and arrows in... whatever they were... but Meilani still had her senses to her so she could at least protect her boyfriend and friend still. She was the only one with weapons still attached to her - her claws. She could heal... Allison and Stiles couldn't.

Meilani stood before the massive tree stump in the ground, multiple broken floor panelings laid where the roots broke out from the ground. She subconsciously fiddled with the necklace Stiles gave her as she tried to figure out what to do. There was nowhere else to go in this place except the tubs or the stump so what did she have to do with the stump?

One glance to Stiles and Allison showed neither one of them knew what to do either. They just needed to find their parents and quickly so they could work on getting rid of Jennifer Blake afterwards. Deaton hadn't necessarily told Meilani what to do when they got to wherever it is they currently are right now.

Reaching a hand out slowly, Meilani ran her hand along the top of the stump and gasped when a vision flashed across her mind.

Meilani stood in the middle of the darkened Beacon Hills Preserve. Insects could be heard buzzing in every direction and the sound of leaves crunching snapped Meilani's attention to her left. There just a few feet ahead were her and Scott with their phones held up to look for Scott's missing inhaler.

It was the night Peter Hale bit her.

It was actually crazy how much difference a year could make. Scott looked so much smaller in his red zip hoodie and Meilani hid herself behind the hood of Stiles' sweatshirt that she wore. She didn't have senses she did now to find Scott's inhaler that literally laid just steps away from her and Scott. All they both had to do was turn to the right the tiniest bit and take a few steps forward to find it.

Before Scott and Meilani could finish looking for the inhaler, the sound of a herd of deer sounded behind them and Meilani flinched as she watched herself tumble down the small slope of hill behind her. She could still feel how the twigs and leaves cut at her cheeks and through her hoodie, remembering the slight pain that radiated through her hip when she slammed down to the bottom of the slope.

Meilani watched her past self groan and get to her feet again, dusting the twigs and leaves from her clothing and hair. She watched as Past Meilani yelled up to Scott that she was okay, seeing the panicked look in Scott's face when he saw she had fallen. Then, everything seemed to happen in slow motion as a growl was heard behind Meilani one second and the next she was being bit in the side by - who she now knew - was Peter Hale.

Then, Past Meilani and Scott suddenly disappeared from her sight and Meilani glanced around her for anything else around her to show why she experienced any of this. When her eyes flickered down to the ground she stood on, Meilani saw that she stood right on top of the tree stump that she had just touched in the white room.

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

Meilani inhaled deeply as she broke through the ice water once again, finding herself, Stiles and Allison back in the animal clinic. At the sound of the trio coming back up from the ice tubs, Scott, Lydia, Isaac and Deaton all ran back into the room together.

"I saw it! I know where it is," Meilani announced, stumbling her way out of the tub as her bones still felt like ice and was hard to move properly.

"We passed it. There's - there's a stump, this huge tree. Well, it's not huge anymore. It was cut down, but it's still big, though, very big," Stiles rambled, standing outside the tub and running a hand through his wet hair which only made it stand up more in random spots.

"It was the night we were looking for the body," Meilani said to Scott.

"Yeah, the same night you were bit by Peter," Stiles added in.

Allison leant on her side of the tub, just as adrenaline high and breathless as Scott and Stiles. "I was there, too! My mom and I were in the car that almost ran Meilani and Scott over."

Meilani didn't remember much after she had gotten bitten because the pain had been nearly debilitating and she was in and out for most of Scott's trek home with her. She did distinctly remember Scott having to act quick and move the both of them off the street quickly, the sound of squealing tires and a car horn in the distance.

What were the odds that it was Allison and Victoria in the car just a day before they all met?

"We can find it," Meilani said, stepping closer to the four that still stood near the entrance to the room. She furrowed her eyebrows when Deaton, Scott, Lydia and Isaac seemed to be abnormally quiet after everything Stiles, Meilani and Allison had just told them. "What?"

"You guys were out a long time," Isaac began, shifting on his feet.

"How long is a long time?" Allison questioned since the whole thing only really felt like an hour or two.

Deaton placed his hands on his hips and let out a heavy sigh. "Sixteen hours."

Meilani felt her whole body begin to freeze over again after it had finally begun to warm up. "Six- did you just say sixteen hours?"

"And the full moon rises in four," Scott chimed in.

Meilani squeezed her eyes shut and sat on the edge of her tub as Scott wrapped a towel around her shoulders. She knew that she had to go back to Deucalion if she wanted any hopes of finding Jennifer and the Nemeton. Sure, Meilani knew where the Nemeton was now but she didn't know how to stop Jennifer. Derek and Peter had Cora to worry about right now Deucalion seemed to be the only one who actually knew what to do to get rid of Jennifer.

Sometimes you just had to do what you had to do.

"I have to go back to Deucalion," Meilani mumbled, clutching the towel around her shoulders.

"Uh, no, no you don't," Stiles instantly shot down, giving his girlfriend a look of disbelief. "Babe, you're not going back to him."

"I made a deal with Deucalion, Stiles," Meilani said, not really having any other options at the moment. She didn't like that Deucalion was their only option at the moment either, but she wanted Melissa, Chris and Noah back. This was the way to do it.

"Does anyone else think that sounds a lot like making a deal with the devil?" Stiles quipped.

Isaac frowned from where he sat on the metal table next to Allison who still shivered slightly underneath her own towel. "Lans, what does it even matter?"

Meilani shook her head and used the end of the towel to wipe at her face that dripped water into her eyes. "Because I don't think that we can beat Jennifer without their help."

"Deaton, Meilani trusts you more than anyone. Tell her she's wrong," Allison spoke up, gesturing from the veterinarian to Meilani.

"I don't think she is. Circumstances like this sometimes require that you align yourself with people you'd normally consider enemies," Deaton defended Meilani with a small shrug.

"So we're gonna just trust him? The guy that calls himself Death, Destroyer of Worlds? We're gonna trust that guy?" Isaac argued, not wanting Meilani to be anywhere near the alpha wolf that still wanted her in his pack.

"Okay, no, I wouldn't trust him, Isaac. You can still use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemy, but he could also be the bait."

Before anyone could offer a response to Deaton's explanation, the door to the clinic opened and Deaton stepped out into the waiting area to see who it was. Meilani could hear Ethan's voice loud and clear asking for Lydia and she walked over to stand with Deaton and Lydia. Ethan stood near the door to the clinic, looking uncomfortable for even being there because he knew he shouldn't be asking for their help. Not after everything his pack caused for the Beacon Hills pack. However, just like Deucalion was Meilani's last option, the Beacon Hills pack was his.

"I need your help."

"With what?" Stiles huffed, popping his head out from the room to take a look at Ethan.

"Stopping my brother and Kali... from killing Derek."

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

"Babe, can you please just grab anything?" Meilani groaned, pressing the phone between her ear and shoulder as she followed Isaac and Allison to her apartment.

Lydia and Ethan had gone off to Derek's loft to try and get him to leave the loft and go somewhere, anywhere. Hell, he could leave Beacon Hills if he needed to for the time being until Meilani and the pack could get fix the current situation of the alpha pack and Jennifer. Meilani, Scott, Stiles, Allison and Isaac were going to sniff out Noah, Melissa and Chris with the help of Meilani and Isaac's heightened sense of smell.

Unfortunately, Meilani had to leave Stiles and Scott in charge of getting Melissa and Noah's stuff. Scott she knew would just grab a shirt and then get back to her in a timely matter. Stiles would be the one to make her life even more difficult than it already was and call her to ask what he should grab for her to smell.

"Well, what about my dad's boxers?"

"Stiles, I will not be smelling your father's boxers," Meilani grimaced and she playfully glared at Isaac when he glanced to her in amusement, obviously hearing the whole conversation with his heightened hearing.

"Yeah, right, that was totally dumb," Stiles agreed and shuffling was heard on the other side for a moment, along with slamming drawers. "My dad's socks?"

"It's better than your boxer idea, Stiles," Meilani laughed, hanging up the phone to let Stiles get back to whatever he was doing.

Allison unlocked her apartment and lead the way inside, shutting the door behind Isaac and Meilani once they stepped inside. "Isaac, see what you can find in my dad's closet. Anything with the strongest scent." She tugged Meilani towards Chris' office, but they both froze in the doorway when they saw Rafe McCall sat in Chris' office chair and two deputies stood on either side of him. Rafe's FBI badge glinted underneath the lights in the office and Meilani wasn't even shocked he had the thing on full display. He was always proud of what he was and it seemed he hadn't changed a bit since she'd seen him last.

On the desk were all of Chris' guns, bows and arrows that he used when hunting down werewolves. To anyone on the outside of the supernatural world would think that it was just normal weapons. A serial killer type of crazy amount.

"Quite an arsenal your father's got here, young lady," Rafe said, dropping his feet down from the desk when his eyes landed on Meilani. He slowly stood to his feet and fixed his suit jacket to try and make himself look more presentable. "MeMe, you've grown up so much."

Meilani felt her blood boil in her body as she stared at the man that walked out on her, Scott and Melissa eight years ago. He had the audacity to use her old nickname on her like it was nothing. She clutched her hands into fists at her sides and tried to reign in the anger that coursed through her veins, only being amplified more by the full moon that was quickly approaching. She could already feel the effects of it and she was just glad she had a control on her shifts or Rafe would have seen just how much she'd grown up while he was gone.

Meilani was pretty sure Isaac could hear how hard and fast her heart pumped from two rooms down and could actually smell his worry faintly. He could clearly hear the conversation from anywhere in the apartment so it wasn't a shock to Meilani that Isaac had a reaction from where he was.

"What are you doing here?"

"Following one of the only leads I have. Now since I have no idea where you've been and your brother wouldn't rat you out, how about you have seat and we can talk?" Rafe ordered, gesturing to the two seats that sat in front of Chris' desk. He stuffed his hands into his suit pant pocket and a knowing smile took over his face. "You too, Isaac!"

Isaac appeared suddenly at Meilani's side and he subtly squeezed her back to show he was there for her if she needed him. His focus, though, was on Rafe who stood there acting like he owned the place. "How do you even know my name?"

"Your name is one of the few things I know. To be honest, the rest of what's going on around here has me stumbling in the dark, even over the smallest clue."

Meilani scoffed softly to herself and took a step into Chris' office, not hiding the fact that she was annoyed by her father's presence. "If you're trying to tell me you don't have a clue, I learned that a long time ago. Can't believe it took you this long to catch up."

Rafe's jaw ticked at Meilani's blatant disrespect. As if Meilani even remotely cared what her father thought. He lost any sort of privilege to tell her what to do the second he thought it was a good idea to walk out on the family. Noah was more her father than Rafe could ever be and Meilani would be damned if she let Rafe stop her from being able to save the man that welcomed her in with open arms the second her, Scott and Stiles became best friends.

"I really would like to avoid the embarrassment of dragging my own daughter into an interrogation room. Really hoping.

"Yeah, well, I'd like to avoid the embarrassment of seeing you try," Meilani growled, glaring darkly at her father. She continued to try and fight the onslaught of pure anger that continued to spike the longer she stared at Rafe.

"Sit. Down," Rafe ordered through gritted teeth, pointing sternly to the two chairs that sat in front of Chris' desk. "I'm not kidding, Meilani."

Isaac stepped up behind Meilani and clutched her bicep lightly in his hand, lowering his head so he can whisper quietly to her. "Lans, I know you're really pissed right now, but just do as he says. If you fight him, it'll only give us less time to get to Noah, Chris and your mom, okay?"

Meilani felt herself relax slightly in Isaac's grip and she glanced up at him over her shoulder, noticing the assuring smile on his face that it would be okay. She let out a heavy exhale, but relented anyway and dropped her weight unceremoniously into the chair on the right while Allison took the chair on the left and Isaac pulled up a small stool in the corner of the room to sit between the two girls.

"I'm not gonna that I'm more than a little disturbed, not only by the number of missing parents, but the fact that it's Stiles' father, your father, and your mother," Rafe informed.

Isaac popped a mint into his mouth and raised his hand. "Mine are both dead."

Rafe shot Isaac an unamused look and Meilani swore it only made her want to punch her father more. "How about we save the teenager apathy crap for your high school teachers. The three of you know more than you're saying and I'm fully willing to keep you here all night if I have to."

"You know, for a great FBI agent such as yourself, you would think you'd remember that you can't keep us here without some kind of warrant," Meilani remarked at her father, her narrowed gaze remaining on her face. She'd listen to Isaac about trying to be good, but that didn't mean her face would show Rafe exactly how she felt about him.

"I have a desk full of probable cause," Rafe countered, motioning to Chris' desk that was piled with weapons.

Allison pushed herself to her feet and made a face at Rafe, Meilani never loving the raven haired girl more than right now. "My father is a highly respected private security consultant and federally licensed firearms dealer. That means he has to own a few weapons. Like this 175-pound draw tactical crossbow or this carbon steel marine combat knife, .50AE desert eagle." She pointed to each weapon as she named them and Meilani and Isaac both made mental notes never to piss off Allison Argent. She knew too many weapons.

"Hmm," Allison hummed and picked up a silver cylinder canister. "Smoke grenade with pull ring igniter."

Meilani grinned widely as she watched Allison tug the pull ring, throwing the smoke grenade at Rafe's feet. The grenade instantly began to billow out smoke and Allison hauled both Isaac and Meilani to their feet by the backs of their jackets, pulling them out of the room after her.

But not before Meilani grabbed two of the exploding light bombs that rested on Chris' desk right in front of her.

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

Meilani bounced out of the back of Allison's car when they reached the Beacon Hills Preserve. The car ride had been quiet while Meilani slowly calmed herself back down now that she wasn't in Rafe's presence any longer. She just closed her eyes and focused on Scott and Stiles like she normally did when she was getting too angry. It didn't take long for her to calm herself down while Allison got Scott to meet them at the preserve.

Isaac offered to call Stiles for Meilani since her hands shook too much with anger and she wouldn't have thought straight enough to tell Stiles that they left Allison's and to meet them at the preserve. An act that Meilani greatly appreciated and she would have to remember to thank him later.

"Hey, you okay?" Scott asked Meilani, placing his helmet on the handlebar of his green motorbike. He noticed the way that Meilani's shoulder were still a bit tense from seeing Rafe. She calmed down, but her facial expression and body language clearly didn't get the message.

"I, uh..." Meilani sighed and tugged a hand through her hair. "I saw Dad. He was waiting for us at Allison's apartment and he forced us to sit, trying to interrogate us. I had no idea what to say to him because my blood was boiling, but then then Allison chucked a smoke grenade at him and his two lap dogs. It was awesome!"

"I hate to kick you while you're down, Lans, but I'm still not getting a response from Stiles," Isaac informed, hanging up the phone for the fifteen time.

Meilani furrowed her eyebrows and checked her phone to see if Stiles had tried to contact her in any way, but there was absolutely nothing from him. She looked to Scott to see if Stiles had called him at all, but her brother merely shook his head. "What the hell..."

"Well, we can't wait for Stiles. Come on," Isaac said, pocketing his phone and walking ahead with Allison in tow.

Meilani frowned and tried to call Stiles as she followed Isaac and Allison with Scott at her side. However, no matter how many times she called him, he never picked up once. Something that wasn't like Stiles because he always picked up on the first or second ring for Meilani. The third ring if he couldn't find where his phone was when she called him. It only set a heavy feeling in her stomach that something was very wrong with her boyfriend.

The four stood near the cliffs and looked out over Beacon Hills that was all lit up with the lights from the homes and businesses. It was a sight that Meilani always loved because it was just breathtaking looking over the sky line of her home. It brought a sense of relaxation and peace over her. Or at least it usually did. Right now she was currently silently freaking over the safety of her boyfriend and her parents.

"Cutting it a little close, aren't we, Meilani?"

Meilani turned around to see Deucalion make his way out of the shadows of the trees and bushes, his walking stick clutched in his hand. "We got a little delayed. Where are the others?"

"Occupying themselves with other pursuits."

"So it's just you and me against Jennifer?" Meilani questioned, not knowing how to feel about that aspect.

"I think you will be surprised what a good team we make," Deucalion replied casually.

Meilani puffed out her cheeks and turned to Scott, Isaac and Allison. She tried to ignore the wary look both Scott and Isaac gave her, both still not liking the idea of Meilani having to join back with Deucalion for a little bit. "Guys, you need to find Stiles and make sure he's alright for me okay? Then get to the root cellar as fast as you can. Deucalion and I can try and keep Jennifer away long enough for you to get them out of there."

"How are you gonna do that?" Isaac asked, looking conflicted on whether or not he wanted to hear the plan or not.

Meilani offered Isaac a sly smirk and began to back away towards Deucalion. "Isaac, you should know by now that I always have a plan."

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

Meilani's plan was simply really and didn't take much thought. She just remembered the last line of the book that Jennifer sent the whole class at the beginning of the school year. So Meilani decided to send her a little message of her own. She remembered the barn that Gerard told Meilani about where he was "attacked" by Deucalion and the alpha pack. The symbol for revenge had been scratched into one of the doors of the barn and Meilani had sent Jennifer a little video explaining just how she wanted revenge on her.

A plan that worked because only ten minutes after Meilani had sent the video to Jennifer, the woman appeared outside the barn. The storm outside continued to rage on, the wind howling and blowing around so hard it whacked Jennifer's hair into her face as she approached the barn that Deucalion and Meilani stood in. Lightning continued to strike down on the earth, illuminating Jennifer's face every few seconds as she walked up to the barn with Derek at her side.

"Derek, what are you doing?" Meilani breathed in disbelief, not understanding why Derek was with Jennifer. After all the lies she had fed to not only him, but everyone else. Had he lost his mind suddenly?

"This might be hard to believe but I'm actually trying to help you."

"Ooh, like brother against sister," Deucalion commented, an amused smile taking over his face. "How very American this is." He folded up his cane as his eyes shifted over to Jennifer who glared at him. "Are you read, Jennifer? Hmm? Did you gather your herbs, pray to your ancient gods and your oak trees, slit a baby's throat, perhaps? Should we show them why you needed to sacrifice nine innocent people just to face me?" He slowly shifted into his werewolf form as he took a few steps closer to Jennifer, making his voice suddenly deeper. "Or is it twelve now?"

Deucalion let out a roar and charged forwards, but Jennifer wasn't the one to step up to the plate. Derek, now in his werewolf form, charged at Deucalion and swung his right hand at Deucalion to slash him, but Deucalion caught his arm effortlessly. He grabbed Derek's other arm and gripped them both tightly in his hand, pushing Derek's arms down as he tried to push up against Deucalion's pressure.

Jennifer stalked up to the two and thrusted her hand forward to try and fling Deucalion across the room, but nothing happened besides her hair blowing in the wind. Deucalion grinned devilishly at Jennifer and grabbed both her and Derek by their throats, lifting them both into the air for a moment before he dropped them both to the ground ceremoniously.

Derek was quickly back to his feet and swung his right arm at Deucalion again. Like last time, Deucalion caught the arm in his hand and twisted Derek's arm behind his back. He flung Derek across the room where Derek crashed into a pile of tires, bouncing off them and onto the dirt ground.

Jennifer rushed at Deucalion once again, but Deucalion turned quick and punched her across the face before he pushed her across the barn. He walked over to where she laid breathless and grabbed her by the back of the neck, walking her over to Meilani. Once they both stood a few feet from Meilani, Jennifer was shoved down onto her knees with Deucalion's hand still gripping the back of her neck.

"Kill her," Deucalion ordered, stunning Meilani into silence. "Do it, Meilani."

When Meilani didn't move to kill Jennifer, Deucalion let out a vicious roar that reverberated through Meilani's head. She let out a cry of pain and dropped to her knees, clutching the sides of her hides at the pain that radiated in her skull from Deucalion's alpha roar. Against her own will, Meilani had shifted and her claws nearly pierced the sides of her head before she quickly removed her hands from her head. She didn't know how, but Deucalion got her to shift without her doing anything.

"Now, kill her," Deucalion ordered once again, still gripping a panting Jennifer in his hand. "Your parents are dying. That storm you hear, she's burying them alive. It's her connection to the telluric currents. Kill her and it ends."

"It won't end," Jennifer finally spoke up, earning Meilani's attention. "Not with me. He will have you kill everyone you love. It's what he does."

"They're doing, Meilani. Your mother and the parents of your best friend and boyfriend. Kill Jennifer now and it's over. Become the alpha you're meant to be. Become a killer."

Meilani's eyes slowly trailed up to Deucalion and she narrowed her eyes threateningly at him. She knew that Melissa, Noah and Chris were still alive wherever the root cellar was. No way would Deucalion trick Meilani into becoming the monster that she wasn't. Technically, Meilani was a monster from being a werewolf. However, not all monsters are monsters.

"And who is going to save them?" Deucalion taunted, gripping Jennifer's neck tighter in his hand. "Your friends and brother?"

Meilani pushed herself to her feet and stood her ground where she stood, not making any sort of move to kill Jennifer. "My pack."

Deucalion growled in frustration and flung Jennifer to the ground with a loud smack. He walked up to Meilani and gripped her wrist in one hand while the other gripped the back of her neck. Much like he had with Jennifer just moments before. He guided Meilani over to Jennifer, raising Meilani's clawed hand in the air. "Maybe you just need a little guidance."

Meilani grunted against Deucalion's hold and struggled against the grip on her wrist. "I forgot to tell you something. Something that Gerard told me." She flickered her eyes over to Deucalion when he froze in their path towards Jennifer who still laid on the ground. "Deucalion... isn't always blind." She sent him a knowing smirk and flung out her hand that gripped onto the tiny exploding light bomb, breaking it on the ground and blinding Deucalion.

Meilani stumbled to the side when Deucalion pushed away from her, shielding his eyes from the bright light that erupted from the bomb. Derek and Meilani were also effected by the bomb, but it was worth it when Deucalion had let Meilani go. However, it didn't last long as the barn suddenly grew in a soft yellow light from the outside.

"The eclipse," Deucalion whispered as he, Meilani and Derek all suddenly shifted back. "It's started."

Meilani rubbed at her eyes and when they finally adjusted back to normal, she gaped at the vacant spot where Jennifer had previously laid. Thunder and lightning continued to rage outside while a dark, dusty fog blew around outside. The sight was like a scene out of a horror film and made it extremely hard to see anything outside the barn.

It was quiet in the barn for a long moment before a loud screech was heard and Jennifer broke out of the dust cloud, in her normal form and charged at Meilani. She thrusted her hand forward and sent Meilani sailing backwards into a stack of cylinder barrels. She groaned as pain shot up her side as she tried to turn onto her side, a throbbing pain in her skull from where her head smacked against the barrels.

Meilani didn't really know what happened while she was down because the pain in her skull made it too hard to focus on anything that happened. However, when she finally pushed herself onto her butt to look around her, Deucalion laid on the ground with blood pooled around his head. Derek and Jennifer squared off and Derek shoved Jennifer away from him.

The eclipse now over and the dust storm outside completely gone as if it never happened in the first place.

Meilani hopped to her feet to try and attack Jennifer before Jennifer could hurt Derek, but skidded to a stop just as Jennifer flung a circle of mountain ash around herself to block out both Derek and Meilani.

"Like I told you, Derek, either you or the parents. Well, I guess I'll just have to take them now. In a few minutes, they'll be dead, and I won't need a lunar eclipse, even to kill a demon wolf," Jennifer bellowed to Derek and Meilani.

Meilani slowly raised both of her hands, remembering what happened when she had done the same to Deucalion when she saved him. Her True Alpha side took over and allowed her to get through and help Deucalion before he died. A fact that Jennifer had no idea about and Meilani was ready to show her that a little mountain ash wouldn't stop her.

Jennifer gave Meilani a mocking smile and tilted her head at the werewolf, clearly thinking she was still safe. "Please, you've tried this before, Meilani. I don't remember you having much success."

Meilani shrugged noncommittally and forced all her strength into pushing against the invisible barrier. A bright blue light began to shimmer around Meilani's body as she got more and more through the invisible barrier. She grunted as the mountain ash tried to fight against her, trying to keep out the werewolf she was. Jennifer continued to seem confident as Meilani pushed harder, her eyes beginning to glow yellow.

The blue light around Meilani only glowed brighter and her hands now hovered over the line, her eyes flashing from yellow to red to show her True Alpha side. Meilani had never felt such pride course through her when she saw Jennifer's face fall in horror at the sight of Meilani getting through her only way of defense. With a simple wink, Meilani pushed her way fully through the barrier and the force of Meilani pushing through flew Jennifer onto her back, the mountain ash ring now broken.

Jennifer panted and scrambled up onto her butt, her hands braced behind her as she stared up at Meilani in shock and disbelief. "How - how did you do that?"

"May have forgotten to give you the memo that I'm an alpha now," Meilani said, scrunching her face up as she feigned a look of thought. "A true one at that. So, whatever you're doing to cause this storm, make it stop, or I will not hesitate to kill you myself. At this point, I don't even care what it does to the color of my eyes."

"It won't change the color of mine," Deucalion growled, storming over to Meilani and Jennifer. He raised his clawed hand in the air and slashed Jennifer across the throat without a second thought.

Meilani blinked as Jennifer choked on her blood and changed from the human form to her supernatural form, falling onto her back dead. She felt the weight lift off her shoulders when she no longer heard a heartbeat in Jennifer's chest, backing away to call the boys and see if their parents were okay.

"Hello?"

Meilani closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief when she heard Stiles' voice on the other side, sounding like he always did. He was okay. "Hey, babe, are you okay? You really scared me when you didn't answer the phone before."

"Yeah, baby, we're okay. We're all okay. How about you, you okay?"

Meilani glanced over her shoulder at Derek who seemed indifferent at the moment, clearly hearing what Stiles asked. "Sort of."

"You think you can come get us?"

"No, Sti, I'm gonna leave you all there to rot."

"Not funny, Lans!"

Meilani giggled at Isaac's attempt of sounding hurt over her comment. "Yes, I'll come get you guys. Don't worry."

"Great, okay. Um... uh... bring a ladder."

"Sure thing, babe. I love you."

"I love you, too, beautiful. I'll see you soon."

Meilani couldn't help the smile that plastered to her face after she hung up with her boyfriend and hearing everyone's steady heartbeats on the other end of the phone. Everyone safe, sound and as healthy as can be after being trapped for a period of time.

They did it. They actually did it.

⏤⏤⏤⏤╗❀╔⏤⏤⏤⏤

Meilani and Derek had let Deucalion go free because Derek had heard that Deucalion was actually a good man from his mother. That didn't mean that Meilani and Derek wouldn't be keeping an ear and eye out for Deucalion and what he was doing while he was away from Beacon Hills.

The parents and the gang were saved from cellar within a half hour of Derek and Meilani running out from the barn to rescue them. Jennifer had caved in the root cellar pretty horrifically and the thing that kept up the roof was Stiles' aluminum bat. A fact that Stiles had boasted about to Meilani and made her promise never to make fun of his bat collection ever again because they do, in fact, save people. At that point, Meilani would have agreed to anything that he had asked her to do and ran off from him to hug both Noah and Melissa tightly in a small group hug.

Noah had hugged her close with one arm and pressed a kiss to the side of her head with a fond smile on his face. He had thanked her a dozen times over and he told her that even though he knew what she was now, it wouldn't change how he viewed her in any way. He was still Meilani to him and just had a little bit of help with sense, strength and healing departments. He'd still love her like the daughter he never had.

Derek and Cora had left Beacon Hills not too long after that. Meilani not really sure if either one of them would ever really return back to the town after what they all went through the past weeks. He did say stop by Meilani's house to say goodbye to her and Isaac before he hit the road, which meant a lot to both Meilani and Isaac. He had even wished Meilani luck with her new True Alpha title. It was a definitely a time of oddities.

Rafe, unfortunately, decided he wanted to stay in Beacon Hills and in the McCall house. He slept on the couch since Isaac was in the guest room and no way in hell was Melissa letting him sleep in the same bed as her. She and Scott did try to get Meilani to at least be civil with the man since he would be around for an unknown amount of time, which she unwillingly agreed to. However, it didn't stop the avoiding him and sassing him whenever she got the chance to. It was a lot better than what Rafe would have gotten had Melissa and Scott not asked her to be nice.

Much to Deaton's word, Meilani, Stiles and Allison felt the darkness in their hearts every day. It didn't make them want to necessarily do anything horrible or change their personalities, but it still was there. Like a vacant spot in their hearts that would stay there forever thanks to the sacrifice they did for their parents. All Meilani had to do when she felt the darkness creep up in her heart, she just thought about all her friends.

How Lydia and Aiden were now together, along with Danny and Ethan who always walked around the halls now with their hands intertwined. Allison and Isaac appeared to be getting closer with one another and always and smiled laughed together. Something that Meilani liked to tease Isaac about any chance she got because he looked like a puppy in love. He would just push her head and tell her to screw off before he would go directly over to Allison afterwards only proving her point even further.

Meilani and Stiles were even doing better together now if that were even possible. After the whole mess, he was even more loving and open with her than he had been before. She wasn't sure if it was the fright of maybe losing her while she had been with Deucalion, but Meilani wouldn't complain in any sort of way. It warmed her heart to see Stiles so loving and soft towards her and she'd take it any day over dealing with the alpha pack.

Finally, Meilani felt like her darkest hours were over and she could finally enjoy being a True Alpha and a teenager.
