─── 𝐨𝐨. TYLER OWENS FIRST FELL IN LOVE with Charlie Carter the moment he saw her dancing within the eye of a storm. The wind was fierce, the rain was relentless, and the environment was dangerous. Yet, that didn't stop Charlie from moving with a wide, carefree smile on her face. Her award-winning smile drew everyone in, including Tyler. He was just a young kid when he first saw her dancing in the storm, her arms thrown up, and her two braids flying wildly around her drenched skin. Squinting through the heavy rain, arm over his forehead, his heart leaped with fear or amazement-he never knew which.

─── 𝐨𝐨. THE RAIN RAN DOWN HER CHEEKS IN patterns, carving paths as she moved freely. He was captivated in that moment, stuck inside the barn he was supposed to be cleaning for his mama. Instead, he learned why his parents fell in love with one another. He found his person in a girl who didn't fear the storm but faced it head-on. From that moment, Tyler spent every minute he could trying to be friends with her and work up the courage to talk to her, until one day she did.

─── 𝐨𝐨. GROWING UP, CHARLIE HAD EVERYTHING SHE ever wanted; a loving mother, a supportive sister, and best friends who were always there for her. She found peace within them but felt it even more whenever she looked up at the skies of a forming storm or tornado, watching with wonder as it touched down. Nothing spiked her interest more than that-except for a certain blonde-haired boy she often spotted watching her.

─── 𝐨𝐨. THEY HAD LITTLE CHATS BEFORE BED about the star constellations or the next brewing tornado, which was the start of a ever growing bond between them. Charlie had a knack for predicting storms, a talent that astounded people, as she was self-taught and took no formal training. She became one of the best meteorologists in Oklahoma so people say, and perhaps even the world one day. Her other hobby was photography, using the camera a certain someone gave her before she left Oklahoma with her mother and sister for a while.

─── 𝐨𝐨. WHEN THE CARTERS LEFT OKLAHOMA FOR a change of scenery during the sisters' childhood, it broke the bond between Charlie and Tyler. As time went on, neither of them took the leap to reconnect, despite wanting to. Their bond remained broken until a sudden tragedy struck the Carter sisters. They lost their best friends to a tornado they underestimated. Charlie felt the most guilty, haunted by the devastating encounter as in her eyes she saw it was her fault, and that she was the one to blame for it happening.

─── 𝐨𝐨. LURED BACK TO THE OPEN PLAINS by her friend Javi to test a groundbreaking new tracking system, Charlie and her sister returned to Oklahoma. Unbeknownst to her, she would soon cross paths with Tyler again. Now a charming but reckless social-media superstar who thrived on posting his storm-chasing adventures, Tyler was not the same as she remembered.

As storm season intensified, Charlie, Tyler, and their competing teams found themselves in a fight for their lives as multiple systems converged over central Oklahoma. Through the traumatic times, Tyler hoped they could rekindle what was once lost between them, believing that such events tend to bring people closer.

They both believed they would find each other again, and that's exactly what happened.
