- backstory: her home life growing up was rough. her father was a struggling alcoholic and her mother was a workaholic. so to say her childhood was spent alone is an understatement. she spent a lot of her time with her older brother, nick. when she was 18, she moved out and started her own life. college was rough, between normal school and struggling with an abusive relationship, it was hard. she broke up with her boyfriend, chase, when she graduated college and started work for the fbi. she climbed the ranks easily, by the time she was 27, she was an agent of interpol and was tracking down some of the most vile serial killers of time. she created an enemy during her time at interpol, a man named jacques cartier. she met him in france, and that's where the rivalry started. long story short, she ended up losing him, but when she was arrested for murder, it started her on a whole new path. she was busted out of jail by david rossi, who convinced the bau to give her a chance and let her in
