"Big sister! Ellie! N/n! These guys just told me they're setting off on a journey!"Veronica said.

"Yes, I know," Margaret said as we walked closer. "No way!" Veronica smiled.

"Princess Veronica, I know I should have told you first, but I couldn't bring myself to," Griamore said as he blushes causing Veronica to redden as well.

"Dear father, I'll avenge you, no matter what it takes! And I swear I will return to your side, Princess Veronica!" Griamore said and I smiled at the blooming relationship between the two.

"Okay then. Gilthunder! Howzer! I'm counting on you to babysit Griamore!" Veronica ordered. Griamore in turn looked shocked at her words.

The two knights laughed, "Of course, my lady," Gilthunder said before placing a hand on Margaret's shoulder.

"It's time to go, I'll see you soon," Gilthunder said smiling. "I'll be waiting," Margaret responded and Howzer groaned.

The three knights got on their horses and rode away, "Be careful!" I warned.

"N/n are things settled for you too?" Veronica asked confusing me, "Huh?" I said.

I ran into the tavern with my new outfit.

"Meliodas!" "Hey there, Y/n," Meliodas greeted, walking over and pecking my lips. "Are you really going on another journey?" I asked. "Sure am," I smiled when I heard that.

"Right, so I'll start getting my things so I can join you!" I said. "No need," Meliodas said putting mugs away.

"But Meliodas! You said once the incident was over we'd opened shop together!" I reminded.

"Doesn't sound like something I'll say," Meliodas said picking up a bottle. "What happened? You're not acting like yourself at all," I said worriedly.

Suddenly I felt my skirt lift up, "Ah!" I squealed. "Still think I'm acting strange?"

Meliodas then caresses my thigh, "I'm the same me as always," he said before kissing my thigh making me redder.

"Cut it out!" Hawk said placing Meliodas in a barrel, "Y/n! Make a run for it! Go! Go!" Hawk yelled and I smiled.

"But we haven't finished talking yet," I protested. "Sorry I can't, need to go buy supplies," Meliodas said.

I looked down disappointed, "Sure, I understand," I frowned.

I was sitting on a bench with Diane and Lizzie, "So you're saying the Captain's not acting like himself?" Diane asked.

"Uh-huh," I nodded. "Hmm. Hey come to think of it, do you remember that huge tremor yesterday?" Diane asked.

"Yes. Everyone was so surprised," I said. "Right after it happened, only for a split second, the captain seemed like something was really bothering him," Diane told me.

"What could have caused something like that to happen?" I asked worriedly." It was just a tremor, it's nothing it is a totally normal thing like that happens," Lizzie said rusheldy as if she's trying to hide something.

Diane giggled, "You're really keeping a close eye on the captain, arent you Y/n?" Diane asked.

I looked at her blushing bright red.

"Well anyone can see Meliodas is acting strange, it's not just me right?" I said. "I noticed it," Lizzie said, "But barely, it's probably just you,"

"Now be honest with us, are you in love with him?" Elizabeth asked and I looked down.

"Well, I- I really can't be certain. Since I never felt this way about anybody before," I answered honestly.

"What do you mean?" Diane asked. "When I get so happy just by seeing him. How I find myself thinking of him when I'm alone. Plus, when I'm with him, I dont feel like I have any worry in the world." I explained.

"To me, that sounds like-" "Love," I said smiling.

"Well, what are you waiting for? You need to tell him, catch the captain for yourself," Diane said and Elizabeth nodded.

"I can't. I must keep it tucked away inside my heart," I said clutching my heart.

"What are you talking about? You must let him know how your feeling!" Diane yelled standing up.

"I'm sure of my feelings for him but I'm not sure of his feeling for me. I believe I'm just a placeholder or a replacement for his lost love N/n, and I don't want that," I frowned.

"That's not the cause I can assure you, Meliodas and I are great friends and he loves you," Lizzie said placing a hand on my shoulder, making me smile.

"Now Diane, did something happen?" Elizabeth asked. "It did, and I remember After all this time, I finally remember. And it's just my luck that he left me behind again, " Diane said crying.

"I never had the chance to tell him how I feel," Diane said. "I'm so sorry," I apologized. "What am I gonna do? If he never comes back, what am I supposed to do? I love him. I love King so much it hurts," Diane cried.

"See years ago, King said something to me. He told me he'd always love me. I never thought about it at the same, so I didn't say anything back. I was sure he already knew and that was that you know? But this time I'll say it to his face, 'I love you too, King,'" Diane said behind her hair.

"I feel so envious. Your feelings are mutual," I said. "Say something. He won't know until you tell him how you feel," Elizabeth said.

"It's okay," I said looking down. 'Meliodas already has someone else,' I thought remembering what Cain told me about N/n. "Hey look," Diane said.

"Hi! Why aren't you out here with Guila?" Diame asked as we were walking up to Gulia's little brother.

"Gui- la, whose that?" Zeal said shocking me. "Zeal what's up with you?" Elizabeth asked.

"Zeal? Is that me? Who am I?" Zeal said crying.

"Guila! Something happened! Zeal is acting really strange!" Diane said holding Zeal as we ran.

"And who might you be?" Guila asked. "No seriously. Something weird is happening to your little brother!" Elizabeth yelled.

"I dont have a little brother," Guila said. "Huh? What are saying? This is your little brother, Zeal!" Diane said.

"I'm sorry, but this man is the only family I have," Guila said gesturing to Gowther making me gasp.

"Gowther you didn't...wait you manipulated their memories!" Diane yelled.

"It was both a necessary action and process for me. Building a relationship with Guila, I concluded that her brother's existence wasn't necessary. I want a heart of my own. One that can comprehend emotions," Gowther said shocking us.

"I attempted to learn friendship from the Captain and Ban, but in the midst of their battle the other day  I observed an even greater emotion with my own eyes. And that was love. It was then I started to study love rather than friendship. And for that this woman suited my needs perfectly," Gowther said.

"That's not how love works you can't force it, not on you or anyone else!" I yelled.

"So you're saying, you faked saved Guila from turning into a demon?!" Diane yelled.

"Actually I did save her. What causes demon blood to rampage is a feeling of inferiority. And rage at oneself for being weak. After erasing such troubling memories, I replaced them with her being my betrothed, having a happy childhood, and becoming a hoky knight on her own merits. Although it lol awhile, the procedure was flawless," Gowther said.

"No matter what reason, it is never okay to manipulate ssomeone'smind!" Diane yelled enraged.

"Guila's previous memories were filled with pain and suffering. Are you telling me she'd be happier with her real ones intact?" Gowther asked.

"YYou'redamn right! No matter how painful they are, the memories Guila made with Zeal are so precious! You can't just misplace them, understand!" Elizabeth yelled.

"Incomprehensible. The love Guila and I both share dont need such existence" Gowther said.

"This is going nowhere. Y/n bring the Captain or Merlin here," Diane said. "But Diane-" "Just do it. Hurry!" Diane said and I nodded. "Okay!" I said running.

I stop and gasp before my vision turns black.

I'm back! Moving was difficult and now I'm waiting for my bed as I sleep on the floor... but I wanted to update cause I'm really focused on this book as you can see with my constant updates which I'm proud of. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
