โฐโห ยท ยฐ . THE DAY OF FEYRE AND TAMLIN'Sย ย wedding arrived too soon in my opinion. I was dreading the ceremony, I was dreading the life that my sister will be soon trapped in.
The dress that was chosen by Ianthe for me to wear was in a pale shade of pink that definitely did not compliment my complexion. It had long sleeves and the neckline of thick lace arrived almost to my neck. The High Priestess didn't say it out loud, but it was crystal clear why she had chosen that specific dress. The way that the blonde eyed the scars that covered my skin every time that one was shamelessly exposed, was enough to make me understand, the disgust shown in her eyes wasn't easily covered.
To make this day even worse than it already was, I couldn't help but spare a thought to Rhys. I lowered the walls constructed around the Eardreor bond, the one that I shared with Rhysand. I didn't say anything through it, because I was sure that no words would help the High Lord at that moment. His mate was about to marry another person. The only thing that I could think of, was sending like a wave of myself, a hug that would reach the male's heart.
The walls were raised again as I walked to my sister's bedroom where I knew she was getting ready.
With a knock on her door, I waited for her voice to invite me in before entering the room.
Her wedding gown was, to put it simple, a monstrosity. Tulle, chiffon and gossamere were the main fabrics, the bodice fitted, the neckline curved to plump her breasts, and the skirtsโ gods, it sparkled. The worst part, tho, were the puffy capped sleeves that might have been bigger than her own head. Her hair had been curled, half up, half down, entwined with pearls and jewels.
I swallowed down the not very polite comment about the dress and concealed the grimace on my features as I stood behind my twin as she looked at herself in the mirror.
From the way she continued to cringe, the thought on her dress was shared. But it was her wedding day. Apart from who she was marrying and in what dress, it was still her day, and she deserved to feel special.
"You are beautiful." I said looking at the bride with a rare smile only reserved for my sister.
Feyre scoffed, "Don't lie." she said as she turned around, but inevitably, I could see the way her lips twitched upwards at the compliment.
"No, I don't mean the dress. Because honestly, it's horrendous." I gestured with a hand to my sister's body. I didn't need to lie to that, we both knew that it was anything but beautiful what she was wearing, "What I mean is that you are beautiful on the inside." I said pointing to Feyre's heart, "You are perfect the way you are, Feyre."
But she let out a huff, brows lowering into a frown, "but I am not, Mai." she sighed out a pain laced breath lowering her eyes to her hands.
"You may not believe it right now after what you've been through, but I'm your sister, your twin, I know you better than anyone else. What you did will not change that because you did it to survive. And with time, you will heal and you will see it with your own eyes, but until that day, I will be there to remind you of it."
Feyre swallowed the lump in her throat, her fingers twitching anxiously, but no words escaped her mouth.
"If anything, and I mean anything happensโ change, I will be there." It was subtle, but I knew that she understood my words. After the many times I had asked her the question 'are you really sure about marrying him?' Feyre knew what I was talking about. But right now, I didn't need to say them out loud. I was trying to be as supportive as I could, even if I didn't agree one bit with her decision. "Don't change for anyone other than for yourself Feyre." I whispered those words just before leaving the room.
When I reached the garden where the ceremony was going to be held, I noticed the difference from how it usually was. Bedecked in ribbons and lanterns in shades of cream, blush, and sky blue. Three hundred chairs were assembled in the largest courtyard, each seat occupied by Tamlin's court.
I kept my head high as I stalked down the garden in an obscene dress knowing that the stares that I could feel on me were just waiting for a single mistake, a single moment of weakness. I sat at the assigned spot in the front row and waited for my sister to walk down that aisle.

โฐโห ยท ยฐ . ย The music began. Feyre had reached the garden, her eyes narrowed to Tamlin, her soon-to-be husband. She stepped onto the soft grass. And her focus shifted to the white rose petals scattered down it. White petals mixed with red ones.
I snapped my gaze back to my sister, noticing her eyes fogging with panic as she tried to not look down, shaky hands gripped the bouquet as she took the first step towards the dais.
One step, then another and another, and then she slowed before stopping altogether. Her blood frantically coursed through her veins taking the liquid to the organ in her chest as it beated furiously, the sound of it like a war drum in my ears.
"Feyre," Tamlin called her name, his hand extended as he tried to reach for hers.
How does he call that love? I questioned in my mind. The person that she called the love of his life was shaking, on the verge of panic. And all he cared about was to marry. His only concern was finishing his perfect ceremony.
How can you say that you love her? If he loved her, he would know that in that moment, Feyre did not want to take those few last steps, she wanted to bolt away, leaving this nightmare.
I could remember perfectly the color of my sister's eyes. Usually, they tended to be shaded much more on the blue side than mine, but at that moment, there was no light to give the blue much color. And they were dulling each second that passed.
I stood up from my seat keeping my gaze locked on my sister, "Feyre." My tone was gentle, each step was taken cautious as if I was afraid that she would lash out like a cornered animal.
Feyre widened her eyes even more, they were pooling with tears, her bottom lip shaking.
"What do you think you are doing?" In a snarl came Tamlin's accusatory question. I had just the time to skid away and evade his grip on my arm.
I ignored the male, he wasn't the important person now. As soon as I stepped before my sister, she let out a shaky sigh, coming closer when Tamlin stepped forward closer to us, mouth tightened in barely repressed anger as the crowd started to murmur.
"Come, Bride, and be joined with your true love. Come, Bride, and let good triumph at last." Ianthe said smoothly, her smile so wide that could be nothing but fake.
The glare that I sent the High Priestess was harsh enough to make her take a frightened step back. Sometimes being feared has its advantages.
"I got you." I whispered to my sister as a plan formed in my mind. "Everything is going to be okay."
The walls of the bond that I shared with Rhys collapsed in a second, the event of rain, salt, and citrus clogging my nostrils.
"She can't do it, Rhys." I said through the connection. "Call in your bargain."
For seconds nothing happened, and then, thunder cracked, as if two boulders had been hurled against each other. People screamed, falling back, a few vanishing outright as darkness erupted all around us. And as the night drifted away like smoke on a wind, Rhysand could have been found straightening the lapels of his black jacket.
The relief that I felt was instantaneous. "I'm here." Rhys said as his eyes landed for a split of a second on me.
And then, his smirk widened, curling his lips into a fear-inducing sight. The High Lord of Night Courtโ no, the High Lord of the Court of Nightmares.
"Hello, Feyre darling."ย

Hello everyone!
RHYSAND, I LOVE YOU.
What I love the most in this fic is the sisterly bond. Is not only a beautiful thing to write but it's inspirational on such a deep level.
The way Maiven, even if not agreeing with her sister still is there by her side, comforting her and giving her all the support that she needed, even at the cost of her own happiness is a very intricate thing to write.
But who knows what will happen in the future. Even sisters fight.
ย Anyways, thank you for reading this chapter, I'll see you on Tuesday!
