Roger is one of those people who you just... notice. His face is framed in sunlight and serotonin, with a smile comprised of stardust. He's got a grin that illuminates his entire face in the bold brightness of his soul. His mouth is molded from hushed whispers of wildflowers, in a gentle pink hue.

His skin is clear, and pale in hue aside from around his cheeks where it's generally tinted a faint red. He has a few freckles along his arms, in a shade dark as his hair.

His hair is a charming chocolate shade, which moves like waves across an ocean. Lighter strands of honey are strewn throughout, and he's got a fade on the sides. He's got a muscular physique, with abs across his abdomen and muscular arms.

His eyes are perhaps his most enticing feature, when seen in the correct light. When his gaze is simply viewed in plain lighting, perhaps it's not anything special. Brown eyes in a murky shade, an unremarkable color. But the second he steps foot in the sunlight, rays pierce his gaze and cause it to glow a burning golden hue. His irises turn into molten, and enchanting capsules of light.

Distinguishing marks/tattoos/scars:

He's got little white scars in places occasionally, just as most others. Gained from years of playing outside and falling while running the rain with his siblings growing up. He also has a birthmark across his right forearm, just a small dark spot in the misshapen circle it is. He does have a tattoo on his left shoulder, as well as one on the inside of his left pointer finger.

The one on his shoulder is a little hourglass, turned to the side. It signified a point in his life where things seemed to be forever the same. He couldn't move forward, or fall back. It took about a year before he was able to crawl his way out. It was like time had stood still for him.

The one on his finger is a small sunflower, which is a matching tattoo with his sister. They had gotten it when their grandmother passed away, as the flowers were formerly her favorite.

Personality:

Roger is perhaps the kindest person you will ever meet. He naturally takes on this brotherly persona to nearly everyone he meets. His is like the embodiment of a hug. He has a warmth about him that is unmatched, with earnest and a smile.

He has a natural instinct to try and make people smile, and comfort anyone who needs it. The cashier at the grocery store gets yelled at for no reason? He jokes around with them until they don't seem like they're about to cry anymore. A neighborhood pet gets lost? He drives around to help find it.

He grew up in a packed house of five kids plus mom and dad. This meant that a lot of times they were a bit tight on money, and he got good at making due with what he has. He's never been really materialistic, and generally is quite giving when he can be.

He tends to be a bit excitable. He talks as if he's had five cups of coffee, when he's really just naturally energetic. He can sometimes carry out a conversation on his own, if he got a good night's sleep.

He can be a bit easy to frustrate if you hit the right spot. There are certain things that irritate him to a point of snapping easily. If be does get mad- he is mad. Anger will take over his whole body, and he yells like a different person. That said, very few things can awake this side of him.

Likes:

Early mornings, and deep conversations that actually mean something. He loves hearing about people in an honest way, while sipping a steaming cup of coffee and watching the sun wake up. He likes being the person people can rely on. He adores nearly anything in the color lavender. The flowers grew behind his childhood home, and the shades of the petals always enchanted him. He also loves people who aren't afraid to express themselves. He thinks people who are a bit out of the box are generally the most interesting. Acting is also a genuine love for him.

Dislikes:

He dislikes it when people don't really want others to help them. He is quite perceptive and can read emotions rather well. He knows when someone is sad, or uncomfortable and will generally go out of his way to make them feel better. So, he can get a bit frustrated when someone is obviously struggling but doesn't want help. He's working on trying to understand that someone people just need to be alone when dealing with issues though. He dislikes working nightshifts, as he used to for his old job. He never liked the way cold would sting in the dead of night, or the way darkness shrouded the world. It wad lonely and he could remember always dreading having to go in. He also hates when people judge someone at the surface level.

Flaws:

Roger can be a bit annoying in conversation sometimes. He has a tendency to talk over people, and sort of control the situation. Like no one can ever get a word, or idea in. This is most likely due to how he grew up. Five kids all trying to get a word in, while yelling at one another.

He can also be just a bit brash. As mentioned above, there are things that make him want to rage. And when someone does one of these things, he's the first to yell or the last to silence.

Fears:

Losing his loves ones. As it's been mentioned, he's loyal and loves his family with every bone in his body. When he lost his grandmother, it was like life stopped being beautiful for awhile. He was just sinking, and he is terrified he won't recover if he loses someone else. At least anytime soon.

Honestly, he doesn't love the dark. Not like he needs a nightlight, or someone to hold his hand when he gos outside at night. He just doesn't like the eerie way darkness settles over everything around it. Gives him the creeps.

Those are the major ones, but just as anyone he has plenty other small ones.

Talents:

He is a gifted chef. He started cooking when he was young, as he was the oldest and his parents sometimes didn't have time to cook before their shifts ended. So, he stepped into that role and started teaching himself from old cookbooks.

He was actually really good, and it became a sort of passion of his. He eventually when to school for culinary arts, before picking up acting.

Well, serious acting anyway. He used to act in school plays but never really put much weight behind the roles. In college, he decided he'd try for a minor role in a movie and he got the part... things spiraled from there.

Backstory; Roger had a fairly usual upbringing. Big family, small budget, tight knit. He would spend his days catering to his siblings, and making sure everything ran smoothly. But, aside from that, there were no majorly horrible or gruesome things that happened to him.
