Also, I'd love to know how you came across my story? (Your answers will help me figure out how WP's algorithm works, smth I've been trying in vain for 2yrs now to understand it, and your answers will hopefully help me lol)

I need to say a couple of things before we go on... so yeah, read them (it'll only take you a couple of minutes xD)

⚠︎1) This story is marked mature, so obviously it will have steamy scenes (I'm going to try to make it as smutty as possible lol but you just have to follow along the course of the story, because it will happen (a lot xD) but not right away because it's slow-burn) =) [Update: it starts from chap 43-44 and quite frequently from there onwards] + violence and maybe gore (I'm not sure) and strong language and mentions of drugs. I will drop a warning for the smut and violence part but that's about it ⚠︎

✧Just keep in mind since this story is marked mature, it means, it will have a lot of mature themes in it, beyond the things I've mentioned. I'm not going to highlight the negative things, since it's not the point of the story... but it's there✧

Personally, I think this story is not suited for under 15-16 yo readers but hey, when I was 13-14 and someone would have told me not to do something, I definitely would have done it. But as the author [being an adult...  with responsibilities and whatnot], I feel obliged to mention this, the rest is, your life, your time, and your choice.

And obviously, this story is pure fiction. The name of places that are used are only for making this story somewhat (location-wise) accurate, everything else, incidents, names, characters, and... have nothing to do with real people and real life, if there are similarities, then they're purely coincidental.

2) I'm writing this story purely for fun (as a break from my studies, and I suggest you read this story as a fun escape from reality too) but, feedback is always appreciated (I've tried to make it as accurate as possible, but still it's fiction, so I haven't gone too deep with the logics and facts). There are prone to be errors/typos (because I'm uploading a new chap every day). Feel free to point them out (so I can instantly fix them). I honestly love reading comments, although I always don't know how to answer them xD

3)I've never been to States (or Italy); the countries I've lived in, their standard English was British and I type in BE but since that's not the norm here on WP I change it to American English. If there are words that I've used Americans don't, please be kind enough and tell me.

Also, I don't know Italian, if you're Italian or know the language, and notice I've made a mistake, please be kind enough and point it out to me so I can correct it [I'd be super grateful].

4) My majors have nothing to do with law but my main character is a prosecutor :')  All I know about law is from my brief searches for this story. If you know, feel free to correct my mistakes, I'd be super grateful (but again, it's fiction, so don't be so hard on me XD).

5) This idea's been in my head for over 3 months, constantly, I actually came up with it while thinking about one of my favourite Bollywood movies I haven't seen in years :') [see if you can guess which movie after reading a couple of chaps xD)... and then I'm reading a story here (Diavolo, read it if you haven't, it's awesome), and it inspired me more [and there is this writing competition and I love challenges and competitions (at least I'll be getting feedback lol)].

So I summoned my courage and here I am, giving a go at a genre I never thought I'll write XD Why am I saying this? Because there is a good chance you've read more mafia stories than I have. So bear with me, there's a good chance this'll either be exactly like all the other mafia stories, or nothing alike =) [Ik! I gotta start reading more, but I don't have time *wipes away her tears*]

6) I'm going to double update this story every day. [Feel free to follow me on TikTok and/or Instagram (＠elmirafh_w) I'll be posting updates, aesthetics, literally anything and everything related to this story (and my other stories!)]. Also I think if you set the background colour on black, it'll make it better =) [you know, match the vibe and all xD].

7) This story is heavily inspired by songs (aside from that movie), I'm going to list them in the next chapter, and as the story goes on, I'll probably keep on adding to it. Feel free to suggest some cool, badass songs too!
