Akira pov.

You had to go down to the third floor to visit the ladies restroom. Your heart feels heavy, but deep down you know that both you and your soulmate will face the inevitability of the activation. You can both deny the consequences, but you still have to complete this bond, regardless of how you feel about it. Jhope must make a decision soon. Otherwise, his performance will suffer.

You meant what you said when you said he would have the freedom to choose. The ball is now in his court. How can FATE be so unfair? Matching you with an unattainable  super famous idol who doesn't believe in love or the system. This soulmate business is so exhausting. You found it exhausting, and it drained your life. It would have been so convenient to have the Tarnished status.

What will he say when he finds out that you're adopted, abandoned at an orphanage for years if it weren't for the Wilson's who adopted you as a 13-year-old in Tokyo? You don't know what would've happened. What your life would have been like. You don't even know what your parents' backgrounds are.

Wilsons gave you a warm home and a warm love that helped shape you into the woman you are today. Because of their wealth, you attended the best private schools and universities, lived in the best penthouse and wore the finest designer clothes. How will you show your gratitude to your foster parents?  

You miss your uncomplicated life in London. Maybe you should leave South Korea, but after this freaking activation, you'll never be able to go to your soulmate if the bond isn't complicated.

You cannot recall the last time you felt joyful and filled with pure happiness. Kenichi cut, and you were delighted, but now you wish to leave Seoul more than ever.

Mentally, you felt exhausted, and you wanted to go home and relax with a cup of hot chocolate and finish watching your K drama. You will get your revenge on that  little devious boss of yours. He's getting two shots without mercy from you.

You took the elevator down to the second floor, where most of the bigger studios are located. The staff kitchen was a great place to eat lunch, so you decided to eat there. The dancers and staff at the studio enjoy their kitchen, which usually is a place to relax and get together. You were surprised to find Kenichi and Afonso sitting with bags of Mama's Touch and sodas on the table.

Kenichi's eyes light up when he sees you. As you approached the long table, Afonso grinned and waved you over.

Kenichi exclaimed in shock, "Hey, sis, I didn't know you were working today. Why didn't you tell me I could've waited for you."

"Hey guys, Mr Min had a little trouble with his door code, so I came in to help him," you said as you took a seat next to Kenichi.

Isn't it amazing to work in such close proximity with those stars?" Afonso looked astonished at you. There is no one in the kitchen but the three of you.

Your grin grows wider."They're human just like us?"

As Kenichi grabbed you by your shoulders, he said, "Don't try to be smart with us. Everyone knows your name. They can't believe that you work for the most savage member of BTS. Yoongi.Despite his sweet looks, he can be outright rude and blunt...but I like him because he doesn't take nonsense."

"He is very respectful and sweet. I don't suppose you're on a diet. You eat as if the war will start tomorrow." You change the subject quickly and point to the burgers, chicken pops, and BBQ wings and fries.

There's nothing these boys can't eat. In a flash, you wondered if your soulmate had eaten his food. You sighed, knowing it would be impossible not to care about that prat. It's hard to explain, but you love him so much. It made you wonder if he even cares about you one bit. You can only wish.Not if a girl as beautiful as Dove is right under his nose.

With a full mouth, Afonso said, "I've lost a lot of weight after that strict dance schedule of Mr Son. The twins are just like him. Let's indulge once a week in junk food. Come." You scrunched up your nose at his full mouth.

"I've got my lunch...but I wouldn't mind a spicy wing...thanks." You open your stylish sushi box with 24 assorted pieces of pricey sushi, and the boys' eyes widen.

He studied the delicate and well-presented rolls in the sushi menu of one of the most expensive Japanese restaurants in Seoul, Sushi Cho, "Blimey Akira! Since when were you eating such an expensive lunch?" he asked. Yoongi ordered you a milky iced Jasmine tea from a well-known coffee shop.

As you chuckle, "I got my food ordered  by my boss as a thank you for helping him with the codes."."

Smugly, the boys look at one another. As the only new member of staff who has access to the exclusive fourth floor, Akira is very privileged.

"Whoa..." Afonso's face was so shocked.

You just shook your head and offered them some, but they didn't wait for you to ask twice. Like that, they press the rolls into their mouths. Then you just shook your head. It was a great time with the boys until a few of the junior management arrived, among them Hanbin. A white t-shirt, denim jean jacket, and skinny jeans look so cool on him. People won't tell you that he's already 27.

Hanbin's excitement makes Kenichi snicker. As he noticed you together with the two dancers, his eyes lit up like starlights. Ken just pursed his lips and screamed at Hanbin while you gave him a stink eye.

'Hey Hanbin!!!'... my bro! "shouts he with exuberance. His loudness makes you look annoyed.

"Hello, Akira, what a wonderful sight to see you here." He unceremoniously sat down next to you, embracing you to the amusement of Ken and Afonso.

You replied, "Hi Hanbin, my little boss had a problem with his codes, so I just came to help him.".

"Oh, Yoongi always forgets his complicated codes or passwords... are you available? He glanced at his watch and then up at you. It's almost 2h30."

You told him, wiping your mouth after you had eaten a few pieces of sushi, "Yes, Ken will stay till 4 pm, and Keitaro will come home later because he's with Maria and Luciana at university.". You'll leave the rest to the boys, who happen to enjoy it. You wonder if it's because Yoongi bought it.

Hanbin looks like he has won the jackpot, "Are you still up for a little adventure? You need a little excitement from these boring boys." He smiles good-naturedly at the two boys who are staring at him with raised eyebrows.

"Hey! "Afonso shouts and waves a fry at Hanbin, who is chuckling. "I'm not boring. Better change your smug tone...I might share a hotel room with you in Japan."

"Anyway, Akira, let's leave these two boys and at least do half of our planned trip...Kenichi, I might bring her home by 10 pm, ok? ", he looked at Kenichi, who stared at you with curious eyes. Do you date Hanbin? As you looked at him, you signalled that he must not be stupid.

You look at Hanbin and raise your eyebrows, "Don't tell him, I'm the adult. Kenichi can cook for himself, so I'm in. The two of us should go."

"Oye! No mischief. Hanbin look after my sister. Do not let her get lost. I don't think Jhope will be impressed if she gets lost again." he teases you. You feel your breath catch in your throat when he utters the name of your soulmate. You jumped up before you could get annoyed by your tactless little brother. The eyes of Afonso were wide.

"Jhope! As in BTS dance king...are they friends?" Afonso was dumbfounded. A sigh escapes you.

You shouted at Kenichi, "No! We're not...ask Keitaro! Ken knows nothing" He laughed out loud at your frustrated face as he spilt the tea with a very interested Afonso.

Amid the two snickering dancers, Hanbin smiled as he stood up and took your tiny hand in his and led you out of the staff kitchen.

"You look beautiful today,Akira. I would love to date you in an instant." He gazed at you admiringly.

You smile and say softly, "Thanks Hanbin...I'm not really taken. My status has a bit of a complication. I'll explain to you some other time. Let's go paint the town red and enjoy the sightseeing."

You followed Hanbin around the corner. A small sigh escapes you as you walk into Sol. I and Dove came around the corner. Your and Hanbins' intertwined hands caused them to look stunned. As you stared at Dove, the love of your soulmate, the pain of the events that occurred at noon struck you in the gut. The girls looked so excited to see you and Hanbin that you just smiled forcefully.

"Hello, Hanbin-oppa! What a pleasant surprise...you look so smartly dressed!" Sol. I exclaimed in Korean. Despite your smiles, Dove regarded you with a calculating gaze.

"Is there anything going on between you two?" she asked with a little glint in her eyes. It's official; you don't like her.

With a smile, Hanbin asks, "Wouldn't you like to know?"

"Oh, Hanbin...don't be such a bore...tell us. It seems everyone wants to date Akira, even the likes of you?" Dove giggled at Hanbin who raised an eyebrow. Smugly, you smirked at her narrowed eyes. You could at least follow some of the conversation. She thinks you don't know a word of Korean.

Her insecurity probably stems from the fact that she believes her fiancé likes you and that everybody saw your beauty and talked about the band you were with. If she knew that Jhope was unofficially yours, she would cry a river or kill you and hide your body.

Even if just a sign of hope is given, you'll fight for him with any available female weapon, but you promise him that he will have a choice. He knows if you were someone else, like Dove in your position, she would've fought for him regardless of whether he loves someone else or not. However, you weren't raised that way.

Hanbin looked at Dove and said with a smug voice, "At least my aspirations are easy to attain than those I know who aim for someone unattainable and who aren't interested in them."

Sol.I giggle softly at Doves' widening eyes at Hanbin's undercurrent nuances. A bright smile spread across his face as he pinched her cheeks. As she flinched away from him and slapped his hand away, she stared at him with narrowed eyes filled with an undefine emotion. You look surprised by them both. Is there something cooking here?

Dove clenches teeth, "Not for long."

Hanbin smiled toothily at the beauty, "Good luck with that... just be sure to put a lot of pillows because it will be a very miserable fall...Ah, well, let's go. Bye, girls."

As he moved past the wide-eyed girls, he put his arm around your shoulders.

Dove look at the two of you until you disappear into the elevator. When you are in the elevator, you look at Hanbin with furrowed brows.

You asked with interest, "What was that display with Dove? She looked like she wanted to kill you three times.". Dove looked strange to you.

Hanbin says, "Let's just say...all the junior management resents her unhealthy obsession with a certain boy band member."

"Infatuation", you almost choked in your saliva, "but...but...but isn't she-" you couldn't say it or divulge her secrets.

Hanbin snorts, "Everyone knows she loves Jhope more than his fans or ARMY.".

The look on your face was confused. How is that possible? Details about her life were shared with you. Does Dove have a delusional streak?

Then you shrugged again, "How do you know? Jhope might like her back. She is pretty, and every guy would like to be with her."

Hanbin grinned. "I'm not interested. You're more beautiful because you're genuine. Jhope won't take her back."

"Oh my word, take her back? Did.... what?!" The company knows. Exactly how? You thought with a shock, isn't it a closely guarded secret. She responded that no one knows.

"I'll fill you in on how I found out...she knows that I know" He laughs heartily.

A very shocked expression appeared on your face as the elevator doors opened. Your whole game might change. Can you hope?

Yoongi pov.

Yoongi smiled as he entered Namjoon's studio, enjoying a soda while he and Pdogg discussed some lyrics with Jimin.  Yoongi just returned from the fifth floor, where he spoke with Sejin about some stuff. One of the coaches worked with the vocal line to fine-tune their solo songs for the upcoming tour.

Jimin was with Rapmon to go over some of his solo's lyrics he needed Jimin to focus on. During the recording, Pdogg was also present.

A satisfied smile spread across Yoongi's face when he saw he needed one maknae for help and that a Hyung was there.

"Oh, I'm so glad you're still here. I need to talk to you urgently," he said, bowing formally.

As Pdogg stood up and stretched out, he said, "Guys, let me leave you while I go check on two of our new employees...will you be ok RM...good to see you now, Suga-boy?"

Yoongi smiles as he bows to Pdogg and says goodbye.

Namjoon looked up and smiled a deep, dimple smile. "We have almost done...Jimin, let's rest and then you can start over from the top? "

The sofa was the place where Yoongi took a seat as he listened to Jimin's high-pitched voice. The Maknae has a lot of talent.

"So Yoongs what's up...You look very preoccupied since last night!" Namjoon turned around on the chair. Yoongi grinned broadly. Oh my, this will be too gold. He hoped that Namjoon would not be hurt by Jhope finding his soulmate. The older Hyungs found their halves.
With a big smile, Jimin sat down next to Yoongi.

"I'm going to break a code now, but first, I need you to promise not to tell our two younger Maknaes. Especially our baby...." He looked at them to get their word first.

Suddenly, Jimin burst into laughter, "You sound as if you've got a national secret to share. What's up?"

Namjoon grinned, "So, Jin and Hobi-Hyung already know?"

Yoongi shook his head, "It's about Mr Jung Hoseok?".

Jimin's big eyes widen, "Hobi?" he asks.

Namjoon furrows his brows, "A secret about Hobi...I knew he was gay!" Joonie claps his hands in delight. Yoongi just stared blankly at him.

"Joon?" Yoongi asked, shaking his head.

Jimin chuckled, "That'll be something?"

Yoongi breathes sharply as he says, "It's not like that...and don't let him hear you say that. Hobi's temper is so volatile these days, but it's more serious." He is stunned as he says these words.
"Hobi found a soulmate!" He saw the different emotions expressed on his brothers' faces.

Namjoon looked shocked as Jimin leapt up with high energy.

"Oh my gosh! Hobi has found her. Oh! Goodness! ...Well, how does he feel?" Jimin looks very stunned as if a meteor had hit him. Hobi doesn't even believe in love. My goodness.

"Really!!! Hobi is officially taken. When did that happen, and how did you know it so soon? When?...where?...how?" said Namjoon.

All of them looked stunned, and before Yoongi could answer, a loud voice called out, and a vigorous knock was heard.

'Hello, everyone. Mr Handsome on the way.' It's Jin-Hyung. After opening the door, Jimin quickly drew Jin into the room.

'Shush, Mr Loudmouth. Yoongi has awesome news...where's Taekook?...we don't want them to hear anything?' Jimin yells out in a rush.

A furrowed brow made Jin stare at his brothers who looked more than giddy as he took the chair next to Namjoon.

Jin widens his eyebrows, looking questionably at the others. "Taekook went to the mall with two bodyguards. I've given them a chore to do. What is so urgent that they shouldn't know about?" Jin asked with a sarcastic tone.

Namjoon grinned, "Hobi has finally joined your soulmate club. The Bangtan Bell club has officially grown to four."

Jin jumped up with excitement, "Whoa ...whoa ... what! Our Hobi found his soulmate! But when did that awesome event occur? Aren't we celebrating?...where did he go?" Jin looked very excited, but he was also confused. Also, Jimin and Namjoon offered their opinions on the subject.

Yongi sighed with exasperation, "All of you, just calm down. I wanted to talk to you because he met the girl almost a week and a half ago."

What!

Huh!

What the hell!

The shocked band members reacted differently.

"Why are all of you hiding your soulmates until you do not have any choice but to tell us? Taehyung was the only one who came clean quickly. Yoongi waited almost four months, and Jin had two months to tell us! " Jimin pouted as he complained.

Namjoon furrows his brow. "What's happened?" he asked, sensing that something is wrong.

Yoongis' solemn face was the first thing Jin looked at. "He rejected the bond." Yoongi states.

Namjoon exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, no!. What do you mean?...do you know who it is?"

There was a sadness in their eyes.

He whispered: "It is that girl we met on this floor during the auditions... Remember how he shouted at the British girl?" Yoongi nodded.

"Akira your therapist! Wow! Wow!" The shock on Jimin's face was evident. His jaw almost hit the floor. Jin and Namjoon were speechless.

"No wonder he acted so strangely. Jin looked so downhearted as he imagined what Hobi had been through alone. "He didn't want a soulmate. It was evident to all of them. He was so quiet and sick...oh Hobi!"

"I didn't even know he half-bonded with Akira...I gave her the job without even knowing...Jhope hated the girl from the beginning. She didn't want to accept the job because of Hobi..and my actions today have hurt his relationship with me...in the worst possible way?" Yoongi sadly stated.

"My word, guys! What's wrong with that Hyung. She is so cute. She's intelligent, graduated, fluent in English, classy and ...she's beautiful." Namjoon exhales.

Jin frowns. "I wonder if he's still hung up on his ex."

"But doesn't bonding make you forget your ex...isn't it?" Jimin looked confused.

Yoongi shook his head, "Only if you complete the bond and your string is red gold or even blue. I don't know if he is over her...I believe that he still loves her, but all I know is that Hobi is fighting the bond with everything in him. I discovered on Saturday that he and Akira were mates when he walked into my therapy room. They stared at each other for five minutes straight...whoa, it was so intense...they want each other so badly, but he's fighting it."

Jin shook his head, "If the bond is not activated, he will be stuck loving his cheater ex. I feel for Akira now. A denied bond must really hurt her."

As Yoongi nodded with a sad expression on his face, "He is doing exactly what I have done. I have been through that hell of denying my soulmate. He told me to pursue my girl...I did, after going through hell denying the bond and swearing that I'll  never let him go through what I've gone through and suffered."

Namjoon was confused, "he must have a solid character, to deny their bond for so long and not be affected by it...so you mean that as bonded mates Hobi's not feeling anything? ...no physical attraction...nothing?"

Yoongi grinned, "Oh no! FATE is driving him crazy...the fantasy he had yesterday left him as well as Akira in a stupor. They were sweating profusely. Then I told him that I wouldn't allow him to choose his ex over his soulmate. She is the best Thera, and I'm afraid what I did will worsen the situation." Yoongis face became solemn.

It looks as if Jimin is confused. "What have you done?"

Yoongi told them what had happened today. Three of the band members were in stitches. They wish they had been able to witness the activation of the two soulmates.

"I agree, but our Hobi is a stubborn mule, and Akira had it with him. I think she gave him the freedom of choice, and he chose not to complete the bond...guys, he'll lose her for real. I'm so afraid she'll give up on him after today. There was more hurt in her eyes than sadness in her face today." Yoongi wipes his face.

Jin looked savage when he said, "What! Is he crazy?... I was hospitalised. It affected our schedules and performances. His sister Jiwoo almost died. We could not afford for him to get sick. He must enjoy the release of his mixtape first. What is wrong with Hobi?"

"And to make things more interesting - his ex-girlfriend is interning here and his soulmate is working for me. It's a very confusing time for Hobi..." Yoongi sighs.

Jin shouts, "What! That girl is here!...his ex who stalked him for years? Oh my god! We need to tell Sejin!".

" Hobi appears to have come clean to management, but they are friends now, so he does not want her to be fired. Though she wants him back, she doesn't realise that Akira is his soulmate. There would be drama. No one knows about our soulmates, so he'll keep it under wraps." Yoongi states.

"No wonder he was so irritable with us when we wanted to know more about Akira. He's so jealous if we asked Yoongi-Hyung about her...this is so dope!" said Jimin with a smile.

A smile soon dawned on Namjoon as he spoke, "I think he is more than attracted to her and isn't ready to accept the fact that he might feel mad at himself because he is slowly falling for her.".

"He is unable to resist her for much longer - the proximity has driven him crazy. I know this because I was in the same position. I could not resist Samiya any longer...if the library could speak...you'd hear volumes." Jin laughed.

"...and almost the cry of a baby," Yoongi said with a dry voice.

Namjoon and Jimin snicker at Jin's sour face.

Jin furrows his brows. "Not funny...the red gold string works differently with all of us. So, what is he going to do? How can we help him see reason?"

Yoongi laughed conspiratorially, "We need Hobi to complete the bond soon. Hobi is sleeping at his penthouse this week. Although I know he will give me the silent treatment, I love him and want him to be happy with Akira. Hanbin, our junior manager, is smitten with her and our brother detests this.  I need ideas to make him realise that he likes her."

In an instant, Jimin's eyes lit up, and he smiled widely while saying: "Well... I have an idea... but it just might get me killed.-"
