So what I go out
Don't think about work
The hospital administration granted the relocation team a month off to fulfill their visa and documentation requirements. Sarah was in tears as she anticipated missing you dearly. Byron hugged you tightly, knowing you would depart even before the official relocation.
You informed Dr. Wichy that you'd be accompanying the twins to South Korea for Kenichi's audition, assisting with their university enrollment, and settling them into their dorms if Ken succeeds in the trainee program with Bighit. They'll assist in getting Keitaro settled in the dorm.
Registration is scheduled for early March. Hence, you and Keitaro will have a month to explore Seoul while Kenichi attends the auditions during his allocated week.
Your parents won't join you in Seoul in February due to their demanding work schedules and your mother's recovery period. However, they'll accompany you for the boys' registration in March, help you settle into your apartment, and look into your new work arrangements in Busan.
Thankfully, all three of you resemble Asians, allowing you to blend in until your British background is revealed through conversation.
Your mother's test results returnedโshe was diagnosed with infected gallbladder stones, requiring minor surgery. You were relieved that it wasn't a severe condition hidden beneath the surface. At least you could care for her needs at home.
The 'relocation crew,' including the three musketeers, received a sendoff celebration a day prior to your departure for Seoul with the twins.
The Bangkok doctor and new owner, Dr. Anuman Saetang, wished you all a wonderful experience living in your designated countries, expressing confidence in your future success. You inwardly scowled, feeling as though you had no other option.
It boiled down to either relocating or finding work elsewhere. You resolved to endure it, opting for the lucrative package and acknowledging the benefits, even if it meant uprooting yourself to an overseas country. If only it were Tokyo, it would have been much more pleasant.
Marge and Angela appeared deeply unhappy, yet they presented the three of you with lovely gifts as reminders of their fondness. You and Byron had one last breakfast outing in Kensington at Cafe Phillies.
Byron parked in front of the cafe. It's a distinguished cafe that serves very fresh food and they acknowledge their personnel for their kindness. Byron even worked the weekends there as a student. When he was sixteen.
You were too shy to deal with customers. Byron's personality made him instantly popular with the staff and customers that he even got more tips than anyone else.
Byron grinned broadly, "I'm so starving, I could scoff a horse."
You chuckled, "You had brekkie this morning... a proper big English fry-up, mind you." Shaking your head, you reflected on how you'd miss your regular hangouts.
Everyone around town reckons that you and Byron are proper soulmates by now, seeing as you're always together and you're both so affectionate and caring towards each other.
Byron even let slip after he found his soulmate that he wished he was a Tarnished, and maybe if you were Tarnished too, it'd be dead obvious for you two to be an item. But fate had different plans for you two.
""Are we heading in or out?" Byron glanced around, noticing the emptiness indoors but no one outside.
"Let's grab a spot inside by the window," you suggested. You enjoyed observing the people around you.
"Alright," you strolled up to the door where a very friendly waitress escorted you to your desired table.
Some of the familiar staff members recognised Byron and warmly greeted both of you. Even the owner acknowledged Byron and had a brief chat with you.
"Ana's put their tab on the house. Enjoy your brekkie... and do visit us again."
"Cheers, will do," Byron grinned broadly, noticing your raised eyebrows. He shrugged.
"Just feeling pretty Gucci, like that," he chuckled.
They placed their orders and savoured their time during their friendly get-together.
Byron ordered a meat dish and you ordered fish and veggies. You only ordered ice-cream pudding.
After chilling with your drinks, you seemed to get a bit soppy.
"Oh, Byron. How will I cope without my big bro? You always watch out for me. Gonna miss you loads, mate. You're off to China, Sarah's in Taiwan."
"Aw, my 'pretty Polly,' I'll snag a ticket to Seoul, and Beatrice and I will come visit. Wanna check out those Kpop joints and randomly meet some artists. Maybe even tag along to see Sarah in Taiwan. Plan some trips to each other's spots... want to meet your soulmate and go on hol together." He clasped your hands and gave them a tight squeeze.
"Okay," you replied with a hint of sadness, "don't forget me out there, yeah? Let's set up a group chat. You four and me. You mean a lot, you're my top mate. Promise, if I buzz or text you urgently, please, get in touch. Ken'll be in his dorm, and Kei might be bunking with the dancers if he makes it."
"I'm coming to see you lot off with your old man tonight," he grinned brightly.
"We're off at 8 pm tonight," you briefed him.
You had a few more minutes together, chatting about your upcoming jobs, then parted ways.
Byron opted to hang at yours till you left. Your mum packed up boxes of biscuits and tasty treats for the three of you. Sarah and her other half popped over as well.
You all had a right chill afternoon with your mates. Your mum rustled up some light nibbles โ savoury and sweet โ for everyone.
You and your brothers each had more than three travel bags. You made sure to grab a couple of masks, specially for the air in Korea.
They got you and the boys booked into an Airbnb in Gangnam, right near the heart of the entertainment scene.
......๐๐๐๐๐...
London City Airport
At 6 pm. You all load your suitcases in the SUV. Byron took Kenichi's suitcases in his car. He will be with Ken, Keitaro, and Sarah's soulmate. You and Sarah will be riding with your parents.
The trips were filled with laughter. Your mom looks stronger and your heart is light. Your dad gave the three of you ยฃ2000 each as spending money.
You wish to make sure that your twins are comfortable at Uni. Keitaro will get himself a weekend job near the uni.
You and Kenichi are a little apprehensive about his audition tomorrow from 4 pm-6 pm. You and Keitaro will back him. You'll land in 11 hours by 7 am. You checked in your bags and just kept your carry-on. You felt an uneasy excitement. You don't perceive why you felt like this now. It's like a smothered feeling, like sort of pull.
You and your friends gave each other full hugs.
Sarah, with teary eyes, said, "Don't forget to drop me a text when you land, yeah... and snag me some locks of hair from RM or Suga, alright?" She hugged you tighter. Byron pulled you in for a hug and whispered in your ear, "Love you, take care, sis."
They hugged the hyper twins as well.
Your eyes are full of tears when you embrace your parents.
"Take care, my girl, look after your brothers until we see you next month." Your moms' eyes are wet with tears and the fact that you are going to be on your own for the very first time out of the country. Your dad kissed your cheeks and promise to text you after you land at your Airbnb.
Be safe my Baby and don't fret, mom and I will carry out what we decided on, ok. If you require more money, just notify us. Look after your brothers and support Kenichi if he doesn't make the cut."
Your dad also encourages the twins to reach for their dreams and to look out for their sister's well-being.
After check-in, you moved to the business class lounge for international travel. Part of the advantages.
You glanced around with enthusiasm.
"Cool," Keitaro murmured," let's go sit near the boarding gate."
"Ok," you follow the twins to the allocated area to relax before your flight in an hour.
""Are you set to conquer the world of Kpop?" Keitaro nudges his twin, who grins in response.
"Absolutely ready. Tomorrow at 4 pm, the UK crew hits the audition. Heard Mr. Song's throwing us an unusually tough dance routine, gotta mirror it spot-on." He exhales. He's all prepped but a tad nervous.
"Let's grab a light bite. We can swing back here before boarding," Keitaro, the more sensible of the twins, suggests. You trail along with the twins to the lounge. You're feeling a bit peckish, knowing your flight's due in an hour...
Kenichi brought you to the buffet service. You picked up some fish and salads, with ice cream as a pudding/dessert and Lipton ice tea. The twins decided on meat dishes and juices.
You love your light supper and a few minutes later you moved back to the lounge to relax. You sent some messages to everyone. Byron is with his lady and Sarah went on a date. Your parents were relaxing at their favorite coffee bar.
On the flight. You and your twins were so enthusiastic and giddy. You appeared a sudden sense of exhilaration. You were set up in the back seats.
Keitaro was seated in the middle. You could shift down the compartment enclosures and have lovely conversations.
Keitaro glanced over at you while you were focused on your earphones, catching up on some films.
"Wow, they've got interesting news channels too... I wonder..." he trailed off, fiddling with his earphones.
Meanwhile, Kenichi was teasing one of the air hostesses. They both laughed, seeing him as a young lad, albeit a good-looking one.
You and Keitaro simply smirked to yourselves.
Giving him a suspicious look, you asked, "You wonder... what?" Urging him to continue.
"If they've got Netflix... I want to brush up on my Korean. I know we've got the language course planned, but if I'm staying with them, I want to at least understand a bit..." he clarified.
You simply nodded. Your parents had forked out for you and Keitaro to attend a two-week Korean language course in Seoul. Both of you knew at least the alphabet and some basic phrases, as well as the primary Asian customs.
"Wow, they've got some cool movies here," he exclaimed.
"What kind of films?" you queried, glancing his way.
"Um... Black Panther, War of the Planet of the Apes, Beauty and The Beast. Emma's fit. Fifty Shades Darker... you're over 21 so you can watch that..." he waggled his eyebrows, "...might get you ready for your soulmate."
You stared at him in absolute disgust, grabbed a small cushion, and whacked him over the head. "Gross, you slimeball! Inappropriate, I don't need my soulmate, thanks," you exclaimed, cringing at the thought of your 'hot' dreams about Hobi from BTS. If you ever had to meet him, how on earth would you face him without these inappropriate thoughts?
"Sorry, sis, just joking... You're clueless about this stuff," he innocently smiled until Kenichi interrupted with a loud snort.
"Remember when Byron's granddad caught you in bed with Byron!" he chimed in, prompting Keitaro to high-five him, sensing they were back to their teasing ways.
Your eyes widened as your jaw dropped. "What the hell! Kenichi... we weren't 'in bed'. Geez, if you're going to eavesdrop, at least get your facts straight... not cool," you looked utterly disturbed. Feeling agitated, you roughly pressed some buttons to drown out the snickering twins.
"Sorry, Kira... that's why we love to wind you up. You're so easy to rile up. Chill out a bit. You're so uptight. You're like mentally 50 years old," chuckled Keitaro.
You ignored them and opted to watch Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast.
The flight attendant then appeared to take your dinner orders.
Keitaro and Kenichi were watching dance shows on Ken's laptop. You could still sense Ken's nerves building up as time passed. You felt more on edge for him than anything. Dancing is his ultimate dream.
You enjoyed your stew, even though you were feeling stuffed. Glancing at the time, you realized it was already 10 pm.
Suddenly feeling out of sorts, you weren't sure if it was the red wine you'd tried. Your head felt strange. You jumped up, grabbed your makeup purse and the complimentary kit, and headed to the restrooms luckily situated on your left.
Upon entering, you swiftly freshened up and changed into your sleepwear. You brushed your long, dark hair until it gleamed around your shoulders.
Then, a stinging sensation shot up from your foot to your ankle, escalating into an intense burning feeling.
"Aaaaaah...." You stifled a scream and slid down to the floor, but the agony persisted. You rubbed and massaged over your soul mark, yet the pain kept intensifying. Eyes shut tight, muffled sounds escaped your mouth, tears streaming down your face.
God, you didn't want your soulmate now. How would he accept you if he found out you didn't even have a family lineage? Why didn't FATE grant you a Tarnished status? It would've been simpler for you and your supposed soulmate.
The pain finally subsided after five agonizing minutes. Struggling to rise from the floor, you cooled your flushed face and made your way back to your seat.
Keitaro discreetly glanced at you, noticing your heavy breathing.
"Alright, sis?" he asked, his gaze fixed on your red eyes.
You chuckled softly, "Yeah, no worries...I accidentally got toner in my eyes...it stung like mad."
"O... Okay..." he got up to freshen up in the restroom.
You pulled down your bed and slipped under the covers, contemplating what South Korea had in store for you.
The next morning you were so refreshed, opening your eyes by 6 am. In time to hear the captain's announcement that you'll be landing in an hour...
Kenichi and Keitaro are already up and dressed You quickly went to the bathroom to dress in your jeans, warm sweatshirt, and parka. Cause it will be a little cool in Seoul.
Kenichi wields in the air," Hello Seoul!!! the Wilson twins and the Sagami princess are arriving!!!"
A/n Another update for the Daydreamers. Enjoy.
Thank you for all the support.
Question: How will Akira and Jhopes' first meeting play out?
The reader that predicts the perfect encounter will have the later chapter dedicated to them. Good luck.
