"Why are we at the school on a Saturday? Scott won't be here," I informed Void.
Looking down at me, his dark eyes met mine. "We're not here for Scott."
We walked down the hallways until we reached our history classroom. Inside, Mr Yukimura was standing at his desk.
"Coming in on a Saturday. That's dedication," Void said as he walked in, me right behind him. "Where's she hiding them?"
Mr Yukimura stood his ground, his temperament not wavering. "I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about."
Void was unfazed, searching the shelves. He had told me to watch the person we were coming to meet, and if he tried to leave or interrupt the search, I was to intervene.
"Her little knives."
He began pulling books out of the shelf, dropping them to the ground when he didn't find what he was after. "Daggers. I know what they are. Physical representation of her tails. However the hell that works."
This seemed to catch the teacher's attention, which made me smile. "This would go so much easier if you just told us."
"Maybe you'd both like to do some reading on it," Mr Yukimura responded. "I can direct you to the section on Japanese myth in the library."
Void began to walk between the desks towards the front of the room, where I already stood near Mr Yukimura, tapping the desktops as he went. "No. No, I'd like to talk to you. The older the tail, the stronger the oni. Am I right? I know there's one left. I know it's the strongest."
"Unfortunately, I don't know what you're referring to."
Void sighed, his eyes drifting to me. "If you wouldn't mind."
I smiled, before concentrating on Mr Yukimura, stopping all air flow from reaching his lips.
"You'll talk," Void told the man. "You'll talk, or you'll die."
I kept all the oxygen away, but left what was in his body to keep him alive. As his face began to go purple, I sighed, "You'd better tell him. I'm not the best at keeping control of this."

We had left the school in high spirits. Void had found out what he wanted to know, and had even left a fly to take care of Mr Yukimura.
The next step in his plan, was to head to Stiles' house. He was the master trickster, and apparently there was some chaos we needed to cause before the sun went down.
As we walked I looked at him. He was staring ahead blankly, thinking to himself.
"Why bring me along when I could just kill you?" I asked.
He laughed, shaking his head. "Little sylph, you wouldn't even try. You love Stiles too much, and now we are one. And that is why I need you. Why I trust you. The connection the two of you had, the pain he feels knowing that he is the reason you're doing all this fuels me. I love it."
Should I have cared that this was causing Stiles pain? Yes. Did I? No, not really.
"So, you're using me?" I scoffed.
He rounded in front of me, stopping so that we both stopped walking. "Do you really care that much?"
He ran his fingers through my hair, watching it fall. "After all, you could've easily walked away. You did what I wanted, you got me this body. And yet, you're still here."
I stepped closer so our bodies were flush up against each other, "Maybe I'm enjoying myself."
"We haven't even gotten started yet," He smirked.
"Well, I think it's time you put up or shut up."
We arrived at Stiles' home less than ten minutes later Void breaking the lock on the front door. "Make sure you stay out of sight of that camera in the corner. They might not know about you yet, and that could be a nice surprise for later."
I rolled my eyes with a laugh as I leaned against the door frame. "They're not that stupid."
"I've been fooling these people for weeks," he informed me as he moved some pieces on Stiles' chess board around. "You'd be surprised by what gets past them."
Taking a moment to think, I shook my head. "No. Not really."
Void took a seat on the bed, patiently staring up at the camera, waiting. When a small red light flicked on, he smirked and then gave it a little wave.
He sat there, silently staring the camera down for a good five minutes, before standing up. He didn't speak to me until he knew he was out of view of the camera. "Let's go, little sylph."
"I wish you'd tell me the whole plan," I pouted as we left. "I'm getting over this whole mystery thing."
He pushed me up against the wall of the corridor, bringing his lips to my ear and his hands to my hips. "Then walk away."
I bit my lip, bringing my hands up to sit on his shoulders, "And miss out on all the fun?"
"I can see why Stiles like you so much. An irresistible beauty with a quick mouth. You're the first person I've met since inhabiting this body that I don't completely hate, little sylph."
Putting a hand on his chest to push him back slightly, I let my head fall to the side. "Well, if you want me to stick around, stop calling me that. It makes me sound like a child."
"Whatever you want. Just say, and it's yours," he smirked, kissing my neck.
I almost lost myself completely, before remembering that Sheriff Stilinski would be on his way here. "We should get moving, or we'll get caught here."
"I'd risk that for you, Ri."
He bit his lip, staring into my eyes, "That's what he called you, wasn't it? Does that make you more comfortable?"
Hearing my name come off his lips just like it used to hit me like a hammer in the chest. We couldn't keep our hands off each other, it was like we were being drawn together, not that I minded.
I leaned in, stopping my lips right before they met his. "You promised me chaos," I whispered
He pushed forward, not letting me get away, kissing me roughly. "Like I said, irresistible. I couldn't have chosen a better host."
Void lifted me up, my back against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his hips and my arms around his neck as he pressed his lips to mine, kissing me hungrily.
Void had an animalistic side that I never saw in Stiles, and didn't think I ever would. He wasn't afraid to go after what he wanted, and right now that was me. My fingers made their way into his hair, running through it roughly.
When his lips trailed from my lips, to my jaw, and then down to my neck my breath caught in my throat. My eyes closed as my head fell back, resting against the wall as his lips wondered across my neck.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the time on the clock on the wall. I groaned in frustration as I watched the second hand tick away.
I wanted so badly to stay right here in the hallway with him, his hands holding me up and my fingers in his hair. But we had things to do.
Gathering the willpower, I removed my fingers from his hair and placed them on his chest, gently pushing him away.
He pouted as he looked up at me, "What's wrong, little sylph? Not ready to take a risk?"
"Not until I know you can win," I replied with a smirk, before climbing off of him. "And I told you to not call me that."
"I make the rules here," he said leaning down to kiss my neck.
I pushed him back before he could do anything. "Then you'd best tell me where we're off to next."
"You're going to have some fun at this one, Ri," he smirked.

I was surprised when he took us to Derek's loft. Although, when we opened the door and saw that Derek had gone even more minimalist with his furniture, it made more sense.
Void had finally decided to let me in on what was going on. He said that because the oni were coming, and they were stronger this time, he needed help.
Now, I knew there was no way that Derek and Argent would willingly help protect him, but that's why we had gone to Stiles' house. Bring his dad in on it, and he'd make sure they protected him.
It was ingenious.
"Props to you," I smiled as I leaned against Derek's table, staring over at him. "That's pretty smart. But why not let me protect you from the oni?"
His eyes traced me, before he frowned. "I told you already. I need you. I couldn't risk you like that without complete certainty that you would win. Plus, I'd rather let them do the heavy lifting for us."
Crossing my arms angrily, I glared at him, "I don't need you safeguarding me. I'm completely capable."
Walking over to me, he placed a hand on the table on either side of me. "And I'm sure you are, Ri. But that's not a part of the plan. Besides, this way, you get to help me cause some chaos on the way."
I thought for a moment, before nodding. "Fine."
He looked me over again, biting his lip in thought. Clearing his throat, he looked me in the eyes, "Stay out of sight until you know it's the right time. They're coming."
I nodded, standing up and walking over to stand behind one of the many columns in the loft. It was as if he had heard them coming, because as soon as I was in place, the loft door slid open.
"Hi, dad," I heard Void say. Playing the Stiles card, definitely a good start. I heard the Sheriff's footsteps, and then the light jingle of metal.
"You want to handcuff me?"
"If my son is still here, if there's still a part of him standing here in front of me, then he'll put these on willingly and he'll come with me, because he knows I'm here to protect him from himself and from others," the Sheriff said calmly.
Glancing around the side of the column, I saw Void hold his hands up, his wrists bare. The Sheriff stepped closer to what used to be his son, and put the cuffs on him.
There was a moment of silence, before Void dropped the charade, looking up at the Sheriff menacingly.
"You're not my son," the man said.
Void pursed his lips with a light shake of his head, before breaking the cuffs off of his wrists completely. When he smiled, I looked over to the door to see that the cavalry had arrived.
Allison, Argent and Derek entered the loft, each of them holding some form of weapon. And all of these weapons, like Void had predicted, were non-lethal.
Without a word, Allison held up a taser gun and fired it at Void. He caught it with ease, the current running along the wires affecting him in no way. He yanked on it, ripping it from her hands and throwing it to the ground.
"I thought your mother taught you more manners than that, Allison," I sneered as I walked out to stand beside Void.
He had been right, the look on their faces was worth staying away from the camera. Even Derek looked surprised.
"Riley. We had no idea where you were. I thought you were hurt," Allison exclaimed.
"Well, as you can see, I'm fine," I said, shrugging with a smile. "In fact, I'm better than I've ever been."
"What did you do to her?" Allison demanded of Void.
He shook his head, "Allison, throwing accusations around like that is what gets people hurt. I didn't do anything to her. Well, I didn't do much. Just gave her that little nudge."
Derek growled, bounding forward towards us both. Void grabbed him, smacking his head on the table and then throwing him against a pillar.
I saw Allison grab for something, so I quickly contorted the air around her, keeping it at bay. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
She gasped, her hands at her throat as she looked at me in shock.
The sound of a click caught my attention, my eyes drifting to Argent. He was pointing a gun at Void. "Stop what you're doing to her, or I'll shoot him right now," he told me. "And don't try anything on me, because I can assure you, my trigger finger is faster."
I saw Void telling me not to let her go, but the only emotions I had were linked to him, and I couldn't lose him. I dropped the connection and Allison gasped, letting the air back in. As soon as she could breath, she pulled a compact crossbow from her bag, aiming it at me.
I rolled my eyes, but I noticed Void's jaw clicked in annoyance as he looked at me. He then turned to face Argent, who hadn't lowered his weapon.
The Sheriff put a hand up, looking betrayed by his friend. "Argent, listen to me. Don't do this."
"Why not?" Argent asked. "I've done it before. Werewolves, berserkers. I can easily add a Nogitsune to the list."
The Sheriff drew his own gun, pointing it at Argent. Void seemed amused as he looked between the two men.
"You're not going to shoot my son," the Sheriff told Argent.
Argent didn't lower his weapon. "You said it yourself, Sheriff. That's not your son."
Stepping closer to Void, I took his hand, "He's still in there, Sheriff," I said softly. "Just. . . far down."
This hardened the Sheriff's resolve, lifting his gun to be completely in line with Argent's head. "Put it down. Put it down."
Void took this moment to bring out his best 'scared Stiles' impression, his face softening and eyes tearing up. "Dad, he's going to shoot me. He's going to kill me, dad."
"Don't listen," Argent tried to tell the Sheriff, but the man continued to tell Argent to lower his weapon.
The Sheriff was losing patience, beginning to yell at Argent, who was standing his ground. I made sure to check on Derek every few seconds. He was still behind us, not daring to move while the other two adults had guns.
Deciding to switch up who he was taunting, Void turned to Argent. "Pull the trigger. Come on," he said softly, basically daring the man.
"Listen to me, you put the gun down now!" The Sheriff shouted. "Put the gun down now!"
"Shoot me."
Allison looked away from me for a moment to her father, "Dad."
Maybe she was strong enough to stand up for herself after all.
"Shoot me!" Void screamed.
"Put the gun down!"
It kept going back and forth, just like Void had wanted it to. And then, the sun began to set and dip the room in shadow. I had heard Allison say 'strife' beneath her breath, and knew she had figured it out. But it didn't matter, it was too late anyway.
"Stop, stop it!" The girl shouted, silencing everyone else. "This is what he wants. This is exactly what he wants."
Void turned to her, tipping his head to the side. "Not exactly. I was kind of hoping Scott would be here."
"Not always reliable, that one," I sighed. "Right Allison?"
She kept her crossbow pointed at me, but I didn't care.
"Either way," Void continued. "I'm glad you all have your guns - and crossbows - out. Because you're not here to kill me. You're here to protect me."
Right on time, the oni manifested in front of the windows in the loft. Void took hold of my hand, guiding me to walk until we were standing behind the men with guns.
The oni unsheathed their katanas as they prepared to attack. Chris hit the trigger to his gun, but nothing was happening. After all that, he had been threatening us with a faulty firearm. How ironic.
He quickly dropped it, pulling another from his belt. Argent and the Sheriff proceeded to open fire on the creatures, but it didn't do much good. It seemed to go right through them.
I glanced up at Void, worried for him if they couldn't defeat the oni.
Derek and Allison went and stood on the other side of us so that we were surrounded in a protective circle.
As they all began to fight, my former-friends were no match for the oni. They managed to get past, grabbing hold of Void.
In a gust of shadow, he was gone. Except, he hadn't taken me with him.
